- Nick (4/5): Old and tired, dirty bedding - I dont like leaving poor reviews, however when we arrive to stained duvets with no covers, i dont feel it is fair to other customers not to be honest. The positive is that checking on after hours was really easy and efficient, including parking. Going into the room, things started to deteriorate. The rooms are very basic and tired looking. Surely clean bedding is a minimum? The windows stop absolutely zero noise and there is a lot of it in the early hours. Some of the reviews must be faked as theg do not reflect the experience we had
- Brian (6/5): - Property not anything like pictures on Expedia site. We paid extra to use a room that was part of the apartment. The whole building vibrated when children ran past. Stairwells were unclean and partly rotten handrails. Folded linen laying around laundry in pot plant, that was assumed belonged in the rooms. Definately not worth what we paid.

- Ursula (8/5): - Clean, basic and functional- great place as an overnight stop on our way to Lady Elliot. Beds are super comfortable and showers great as well. Convenient location not far from some nice restaurants and bars.

- S (6/5): A bit unloved - Nice location, opposite the beach, lovely verandah. The room decor in room 5 is really tired, holes in the net curtains, broken blinds at the door, overused bed that sags in the midldle. The two wicker chairs in the queen bedroom smelled damp, and the cushions were stained, but also these sank when you sat in them. Consequently, we sat on the lovely verandah mostly. It was spotlessly clean, the bathroom and kitchen had most of what you wanted in self-catering, full fridge and dining table. So our stay was just about satisfactory - however we had great day trips to K'Gari and whale watching while in the area.

The parking bay we had was a bit hard to drive into as it was on the end where the driveway tapered in and you had the two posts on one side and two posts opposite side of the driveway to navigate to enter. Otherwise everything was great.

- Amanda (6/5): - The location was fantastic, right on the esplanade but the room felt dirty and and the wooden furniture appeared dirty and stained and was less than hygienic. The sofa stank and felt dirty and very much in need of a proper clean.
- Aimee (6/5): - The property is in a need of a bit of TLC. While our room was clean and tidy, the room fit outs were quite old. The toilet in our apartment had a lot of paint peeling off the roof. The curtains in all the rooms weren't large enough to completely cover the windows and the additional blankets in the cupboards in the second bedroom had a few holes in them. We were positioned at the front of the property, and the front gate is quite noisey when closing. The self check in kiosk was not working when we arrived, so we were lucky that there was someone in another apartment near the front gate when we arrived that assisted us in accessing the property.

- Katie (10/5): Lovely stay. Clean and comfortable. - I only stayed one night prior to a trip but wish I’d have stayed longer. Super comfy bed. A lovely little stay, so clean with everything I would need. Owner was very chill and helpful, would deffo stay again if I return. The only issue is I rely heavily on wifi as my phone doesn’t get great signal (thanks Vodafone) and the wifi wasn’t great.

It had everything we needed for our stay, is very secure and is close to the beach (across the road!) and shops/dining. Although the kitchen and bathroom had been renovated, slats on Venetian blinds were either broken or missing. Another privacy issue. Premises were old and grounds untidy. Location good.
- Anurago (8/5): Pleasant stay but replace couch please - Nice apartment, good shower, separate toilet, good bed. The couch in the living room is very uncomfortable, seat needs serious repair (support is broken) or the couch replacement. The apartment looses one star for that, but otherwise it was pleasant and good value for money. Lot's of restaurants and coffee shops and beach close by.

The furniture was extremely uncomfortable as the cane seats had collapsed and felt unsafe to sit on. The TV's were not very good as they did not have the terrestrial channels. Wifi was unstable and kept dropping out.

- Kath (8/5): - Nice, clean full sized unit which was roomy with homely touches. Great location, walking distance to pub and restaurants. Free wifi was appreciated. Found the TV a bit difficult to turn on, the remote and on/off switch at the front were non-responsive. We replaced the batteries in the remote and finally found a tiny little on/off switch at the back that worked. Might be good to add this to the compendium. Overall a good stay and we'll be back, thank you.
- Kathryn (10/5): Theres nothing to fault - There is absolutely nothing to fault with the accommodation at Cocunut Palms. Easy check-in, secure premises (including off street/undercover parking), a lovely pool and located across the road to beach access. The room provides all the amenities required. Impeccably clean, nicely furnished and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We are required to return to Harvey Bay in December and I will certainly be staying here again. Thank you Coconut Palms for providing this gem of accommodation.

- Rhonda (8/5): - Location suited us and was as expected for what we paid. Very clean though decor was not to our liking. Big heavy balinese furniture, bed was huge but thick wooden surround was a pain to climb over and bed creaks with any movement. Its the style, just not us but may suit others. Like the non contact check in system. Had unit 9 which was quiet and upstairs. Bathroom had been updated, good shower. Overall, met our needs though hubby didn’t like the bed.

Right on the Esplanade, a few doors from the Beach Hotel which was nice for meals. We were a couple but children used the pool. The srlf serve check in was so easy. We were delayed 2 days due to a covid lockdown but our booking was rearranged without any problems. We would definitely recommend Coconut Palms. We were in Unit 11 which was back from the road. There is some road noise from the Esplanade so thus unut was great.
