- Adam (10/5): Clean, modern and had everything we needed! - We’ve stayed here before more than once, and we found it to again be clean, modern and comfortable, with friendly staff that were happy to help.
We love the bar area for drinks, dinner and of course breakfast in the morning. The swimming pool and spa facilities are great and well worth adding onto your stay. N/A

- Sadie (9/5): Quick, quiet, satisfying - Location was great, minutes from the hydro. Not busy, all facilities easy to find and very friendly staff The toilet struggled to flush a little bit, I didn't complain, just a polite mention when I checked out, it was a problem that was being resolved that day, but very informative as to why there was a little problem, did not affect our stay

- Jaye (4/5): The only good point it was a 10min walk to the hydro - It’s was situated near the hydro for the event It isn’t disabled friendly as it states and the price for it was too extreme especially when I was taking someone disabled

- Ryan (8/5): Very pleased would stay again if in the area - Really good food and staff spacious rooms and shower Double bed was abit tight for 2 adults
- Wassel5 (2/5): Rip Off Bar Prices - Went to the bar here with friends and I was the nominated driver. I was charged the absolutely disgusting and extortionate price of £4.05 for a half pint of draught coke. I will never set foot in the place again and I definitely do not recommend this rip-off joint. I will be spreading the word to family and friends - and anyone else that will listen.
- Jomccluskey (2/5): Poor Customer Service - Booked a while ago through village hotel. Was really excited to stay with my partner. Unfortunately my partner was up vomiting all the night before we were due to check in. I was aware I had booked a saver rate and not entitled to any refund but thought there might be some good will especially to void bringing sickness to the hotel. The guy I spoke to said no. I said so if I don’t want to lose the booking we just need to come with her sick. He said ‘unless I can find another friend to bring with me.

- Carl (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms clean and modern . Staff were lovely and really enjoyed our stay! - Modern and clean . No electric charger for the cars
- Charitha Wijesiriwardena (8/5): overall good experience - Breakfast items were very limited.
room was good
Location is nice with ample parking wish the breakfast had more choice, especially some salad items
- fiona (2/5): Issue with shower not flowing away - Excellent location Was having a shower and the water did not run away, resulting in shower floor over flowing. Had to rinse shampoo from hair in bathroom sink.
- Diane (10/5): Fantastic hotel with super friendly, welcoming staff and a gym that is definitely on point. Perfect! - Gym was great and the staff were incredibly honest.
Left my Beats headphones in my room. Housekeeping staff went above and
beyond to ensure they were returned to me. Honestly at its finest. There wasn’t anything that didn’t meet or exceed my expectations
of my stay.
- Hindery (10/5): Great hotel - Stayed for one night with hubby as we were seeing a show at the Hydro. It's only a 10min walk to the Hydro so a great location. Staff were friendly, room was lovely and very clean. Grill and bar has good pub grub and the breakfast was excellent. Overall we were really happy with our stay and the value for money. We will definitely return.
- Louise (10/5): Only hotel we stay at in Glasgow when we’re down visiting from Aberdeen which is usually for a concert. Good value for - Good location. Onsite parking. Good bar and food. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Don’t dislike anything.
- Tourist58558993597 (2/5): Ruined my birthday - Absolutely appalled with our experience at Village Hotel and there customer service / complaints department who i logged this complaint with in Feb and was given this case number 193770 and have been emailing for weeks now with no response other than someone will get back to me .
Here is a overview of my issue.
We booked and paid for our stay directly through the hotel for our joint birthday, received a confirmation email and reservation number, and travelled all the way from Newcastle expecting a relaxing night away. On arrival, we were told there was no reservation under our name.
To make matters worse, we were informed that the payment had been returned and the booking cancelled — yet we were never notified of this. No email, no phone call, nothing. We arrived believing everything was confirmed and secure.
Instead of celebrating our birthday, we were left standing at reception while staff tried to locate a booking that apparently didn’t exist. During this time we lost use of the spa facilities because of the length of time it took and had to rearrange our meal booking due to the uncertainty and delays. We had a concert planned for that evening so we were no longer able to have our relaxing evening before we left.
Eventually, we were put into another room — but then shockingly asked to pay again in the morning, despite the entire issue being on the hotel’s side. The stress, disruption to our plans, and complete lack of communication completely ruined what was meant to be a special occasion.
We specifically booked direct thinking it would be the most trustworthy option. Sadly, this experience has proven otherwise and we will now avoid Village Hotels in future and I have changed my hotel stay for legoland in the August with my famiky due to this.
Very disappointing and not the birthday experience we had planned.
- DawbT14 (10/5): Excellent - Amazing hotel to stay at will defo be back. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and clean rooms. Loved that it had a Starbucks and bar. Pool area was fab
- Anita (4/5): The room was tired but staff were all excellent. - Great location, good
Otmosphere The room, small with bad lighting and not as clean as I would expect, a horrid outlook. Room 101. An old towel lying on the rooftop and window was dirty.

- V1547CCdianec (10/5): Thanks for having us - would recommend - Great service - good location for business meetings in Glasgow
- Jennifer (10/5): Recommend - Clean and friendly staff All good
- Mark (8/5): Nice hotel, staff were very accommodating - Location and ease of parking Protestors deliberately targeting guests with loudspeakers to wake up the guests early morning, they had no taste in music
- Ade (6/5): Average hotel . - Room was ok Restaurant awful . Food luke warm
- morveno2026 (10/5): Friendly and great value dining experience - We were staying at a nearby hotel but really like the bar area of the Village Hotel so we popped in for drinks and a meal. The staff were super helpful, especially Megan who made sure we had the app and took full advantage of the offers. You properly feel on holiday in this hotel.
- Viktoriia (2/5): Good views from a room and good location but still won’t recommend anyonestaying there as staff in a pool area were rude - Staff on a reception , cafe and housekeeping were nice. Also liked a view from a room. Staff in a swimming pool area were rude. Also found a hair in my breakfast scrambled eggs.
- Duncan (9/5): -
- sabihm2020 (10/5): Great location - The hotel is located in a very nice area close to the river Clyde with excellent views and nice walking area along the river. The facilities were great and the team at reception were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay there again in the future.
- Clarke (10/5): - The hotel was lovely room was nice comfortable beds There was nothing we didn't like
- Daniella (9/5): Great stay, you know what to expect with a village hotel. - It was clean and modern
- Christopher (8/5): Comfortable - Great room, comfortable beds and great location. Free parking while we visited. Good breakfast included and having access to pool/gym was great. When we went to pool we were disappointed at the messy changing rooms, defo needed flip flops! Also some staff are on strike (completely support), but their protest went on until 9pm right outside our window so was difficult trying to get our toddler to sleep. Village - pay your workers fairly!
- Blair (10/5): -
- Gail (10/5): - Lovely clean room, comfy bed.
Food delicious and very helpful staff Happy with everything
- Tommy Clark (10/5): - Excellent hotel great staff Bed was little hard and all shaving 2 prone electrical charging points were down in the whole hotel, wasn't able to shave for a planned event 😕
- Claire (8/5): - Really good location for the OVO and loved the gym never got a chance to try the pool but great facilities But expensive
- Clive (10/5): Fantastic and will be back - Everything was super
- Julesyx (4/5): Don’t waste your time - Had a day pass and was so exicted to use it, skipped the gym as I just wanted to use the pool and health suite stuff
The jacuzzi was cold my own shower in my house is warmer and it was filthy, looking above it in the air vent fluff was falling out into the . Digustung the water station was luke warm water coming out of it.
The sauna was packed and again not very warm as I checked the temperature, and other members said the same thing, the steam room was closed as is getting a new one so all we heard was drill drill drill. Not relaxing at all.
The changing rooms has broken water station and hairdryers all out. Place needs looked at!
- Brian (10/5): -
- Janet (10/5): Fab short stay - Great location, great facilities and friendly staff Nothing
- DarrenC2210 (6/5): C2C weekend - Room was good and great location for OVO Hydro etc. poor food options as promotions on offer over that weekend were not in stock so no sharing platters, no nachos, no wings or chicken strips. Offered discounts which you couldn’t use so are elsewhere two days and nights of the three. Also woke early Monday morning due to Unite protest outside of Starbucks playing loud music etc
- Lynn (8/5): Great location and lovely staff. Food was great and good value for money. - Location Disabled toilet, the shower head was hard to move and also wouldn’t stand properly, probably just need tightened. The Unite Picketers could do with changing their Music, if they insist on playing at 8.00am their choice in Techno is just wrong even a bit of old skool would have been better.
- Ross (9/5): Comfortable. Friendly staff. Good facilities, a little expensive. - Close to the Hydro for gig Food in restaurant was average
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Simon (10/5): Perfect for events at the Hydro. - Great location for the Hydro. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food.
