• Matthieu (10/5): Geweldige locatie, heerlijk eten en behulpzame staff! - De locatie met schitterend uitzicht! Behulpzame staff, lekker eten… Eigenlijk niets. Is wat aan de prijzige kant maar je betaalt voor de exclusiviteit.
• Imke (9/5): Mooie ecodomes, mooi uitzicht en vriendelijk personeel - Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Mooie domes met heerlijke bedden en mooi uitzicht op Fitz Roy. Je hebt geen last van de buren. Het is een ideale plek om vanuit hier te hiken; EcoDomes zit tegen het park aan, waardoor je net iets sneller naar Fitz Roy hiket. Helaas kon de hottub niet aan.
• Nikolaj Jan (10/5): Perfect for a few days around Fitzroy with some of the best food we had in Argentina. - Gorgeous location, extremely welcoming staff, excellent food and charming decoration. Nicolás made us feel at home and the wood-fire stove heated hot tub was the icing on the cake. Nothing.
• Parthena (10/5): Wonderful experience in nature, amazing views and lovely people - We loved the experience of staying at the ecodomes for 2 nights! Amazing views over the mountains, comfy beds, a wood stove and no internet connection that lets you appreciate nature more! The food at the restaurant is delicious especially the dinners. Amazing team that runs the place! Truly kind, polite and friendly, we loved the interaction with them. We also got really good advice for our hikes and altered our plans to make sure we have a nice clear weather for Laguna de los tres. Aside from Laguna de los tres, we did another nice easy walk through the woods leading to a refuge that took 6 hours. What a beautiful area! Getting there, we got the free taxi service from town at 2pm and on our last day we checked out and did laguna de los tres which saves a bit of time starting from ecodomes and on our way back we returned to El Chalten which was the best option that offered incredible views for this hike. Our luggage was transferred to El Chalten for free. Not the property’s fault but the first night it was super windy and I had a hard time sleeping from the noise. The next day it calmed down and we loved it! This is part of the adventure!

Fantastic staff , helpful and friendly and amazing food . It’s off off grid and a hikers paradise. It’s justifiably rustic due to its location .

• HANNAH (10/5): - The perfect location. We arrived in the rain and cloud and woke up to the most amazing private views of Fitz Roy. Manu was wonderful, recommending hikes to us which we would not have discovered. The property is isolated which we loved, located around 30/35 mins outside of El Chalten. The food was the best of our trip and the pods were everything we could wish for. We were happy to be out of phone signal for a couple of days as it really gave us time to switch off. Would highly recommend.

We arrived in a storm but left in the sunshine - fantastic walks from the eco domes. The food was fantastic, best yet and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. A very minor point but the hot tub was not hot for us having requested it, which was a shame but did not spoil our stay in the slightest.

• Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay at the Eco Domes! We loved how unique the domes were and there was adequate heat (tent was heated by a wood burning stove) and hot water. Everyone who worked at the Domes went above and beyond to make our stay awesome. Our stay came with breakfast, lunch (packed - for the hike), and dinner included and each meal was delicious. Dinner was a set menu that changes everyday and although it was enough food for me, my husband felt like it was not enough food so we would recommend bringing extra snacks just in case. Additionally, the Domes gives you a private access to the main Laguna de los tres hike which was around 2.5-3 miles (saves maybe 2-3 hours depending on speed) shorter than the overall hike that starts from El Chalten.
• Magdalena (10/5): A gem in the middle of Patagonian forest - Our stay in Eco Domes was just perfect, can't recommend this property enough!. We went there for our last destination in our honeymoon with the objective to relax and enjoy, and Eco Domes really exceed the expectations. (1) Staff was AMAZING! They were all incredible accommodating and welcoming even before we got to the property. They helped coordinate transportations and guide us on best ways to do "Laguna de los 3" hike. (2) Location was perfect to disconnect and enjoy nature. They property is ~1 mile from "Sendero Pilar" which leads to the Fitz Roy, so we were able to do a different hike with less people for most part, being able to enjoy the trip. (3) Food OMG it was top notch, the menu and the quality of the food was incredible. Really good options for dinner and great variety for breakfast. The domes itself are beautiful and have a direct view to the Fitz Roy which was the cherry on the top. We stayed for 2 night which gave us enough time to be able to enjoy the property. Absolutely nothing, it was perfect stay! The only warning for people planning to go to Eco Domes, don't plan for remote working from there, there's no wifi or cellphone connection!

The staff was honestly welcoming, caring and friendly!! Just be mentally prepared that there is no internet!! Even though, it was a part of the concept to be isolated, having no internet made some parts a bit difficult. But that's on us!

• Tom (9/5): Unique experience in Patagonia - A unique and wonderful location with typical dome structures (ideal design for Patagonian winds!). Cheerful and easy going staff that are clearly fond of each other - important if you’re in such an isolated location. Being offline provided a welcome digital detox! The reception/sitting area is wonderful (and heated all day) and the food and wine selection in the restaurant is excellent! We had bad weather (which is often the case in Patagonia and by no means the property’s fault) which meant we spent more time at the property. The room gets very cold during rainy/overcast days/nights so it was hard to keep warm. Not all common areas were kept warm during the day. The restaurant area lacks atmosphere which is a real bummer considering the cosiness of the sitting area. Some candles/plants/rugs would have transformed it - now it feels like a canteen which isn’t rewarding after a long day’s hike (and considering the price).

A equipe é extremamente atenciosa o tempo inteiro, a comida é muito boa (café, jantar e lunch box) e os alojamentos são espaçosos e de frente para o Monte Fitz Roy, ou seja, vista incrível. Pena que não ficamos com a vista plena, mas mesmo assim era um lugar muito tranquilo e bonito que vale a pena conhecer. A única coisa que não foi bom é que foi uma noite fria, e a lenha acabou antes do previsto,mesmo colocando no mínimo como orientado.

• Kristina (10/5): Unique experience - The staff is friendly and helpful. They helped with trasportation (which was included from and to the town), with hikes and all the questions we had. The meals are very good, espacially dinner and the lunch box is big. During the night it can get cold in the dome so the staff will light up the firelplace, so it's not only warm but very cozy and relaxing. The view is wonderful but we had to wake up early in the morning to catch a look at the mountains, as the weather wasn't good during our stay. Everything was good.
• Alexandra (9/5): Wonderful stay with incredible food - Staff were friendly and helpful, wood-burning stove in the room was great, and all our meals were incredible and varied. Fantastic experience overall. Free shuttle to/from town was only at specified times (e.g. a 3 hour window in the afternoon) so we had to get a taxi there ($30 USD). Water pressure was low and took 5+ minutes of constant running to get hot water to the shower.

• Saumeil (10/5): - Excellent stay in the El Chalten area! This is a lovely hotel, located a few km outside of El Chalten. The domes are placed such that you do not see another dome when you are in and we felt really connected to nature. The views of Fitz Roy were amazing from the dome. Staff is smart and well-informed. Meals were included in the stay and they were kind enough to accommodate vegetarian options for us. 3 course dinners, packed lunch boxes and breakfast are on point. We were fortunate to celebrate an excellent Christmas celebration when staying there. Kudos to Rebecca and her team! Definitely recommend staying here. Note: The road from El Chalten to the hotel is unpaved but that is extremely common in Patagonia so take nothing away from the property for this :)

• Logan (10/5): Exceptional stay in Patagonia and beyond - We cannot recommend the eco domes enough. We are a couple from LA and have traveled all over the world and can confidently say this is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The domes are glamping chic and comfortable (the bed is to die for), the water runs hot, the food is truly fantastic and better than most of the food in LA, the staff are kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It is simple to arrange transportation anywhere you need, and the pickup from the bus is smooth. The breakfasts were eggs, bacon, and huge array of yogurt fruit and pastries. Packed lunches were solid with sandwiches plus empanadas and fruit. The chef who makes the dinners is extremely talented. Get the pork if on menu. It will haunt me in my dreams. The wine selection is superb. There is no WiFi but that’s fine, just download books etc prior if wanted. Don’t hesitate - this place is special. A+

• Verified traveler (10/5): - This place is magical, and so charmingly in every way possible. The bed was very comfortable, the food was quiet good. You can hike fitz Roy directly from the dorms which was amazing. They are however very strict about the 5 pm for check in taxi and 10 am checkout taxi, any other times, you will have to pay for a taxi to the ecodomes on your own.

• Gina (8/5): Cozy Stay with sacrifices - Comfortable stay in a deluxe dome. Didn’t disappoint. Obviously you make sacrifices for being in such a remote, beautiful place. For instance, hot water takes about 10+ minutes, food is decent but will not impress you, about 30 min drive to El Chalten via rocky unpaved road, and zero cell service/internet, and no in-cabin charging for anything other than a smartphone via USB (anything else you will have to ask the front desk to charge for you). However, the location is AMAZING. You get to look up at Mount Fitz Roy every day, and there’s a trailhead up to it and several other hikes that are less crowded and closer than the ones you’ll find from town.
• Verified traveler (10/5): 5-Stars for Patagonia Eco Domes - Our stay at the Patagonia Eco Domes was Excellent! This is a unique experience to stay in a dome with the quality of a top hotel. The bed was comfortable and blankets sufficient for chilly evenings. There was plenty of hot water for the shower as well. The location is amazing (17 Km north of El Calten on a gravel road) with an incredible view of the Mountain Fitz Roy from the Domes. There are only 7 domes so it is a very peaceful location. There are several hikes that leave from the property and many others you can drive to and park at the trail head. The service at the Domes is excellent and they were knowledgeable about trails, timing, etc. The chef at Patagonia Eco Domes is 5-star!!!!! Dinner was incredible! Overlooking the Fitz Roy, this amazing chef provided excellent dishes (we had pork and the most beautiful beef tenderloin) as you would find in the top restaurants in Chicago. The chocolate cake with rum was perfection! In addition, he prepared a beautiful breakfast spread and made-to-order eggs and bacon if you like. Also the property provided delicious lunch boxes for our hiking days which included home made empanada, yummy. Thank you for a most amazing stay!
• Johan (8/5): Great location and friendly staff - Absolutely wonderful stay at the Eco Domes. Friendly and very helpful staff. The location is good close to the trails and absolutely disconnected. We truly enjoyed our days there.
• julian (10/5): Truly connected with outdoors - This was the best stay I have ever had at a lodge. We were greeted by the staff as we pulled up. They took us to the dome which had the best view i have ever seen, sitting directly below Fitzroy. At night they cooked first class dinners and even went and lit a fire in your room while you eat. Breakfast was included and was delicious. It also has incredible location, with the start to the Fitzroy hike directly out the back of the grounds. Note: if you have not camped before or need complete silence when you sleep, this might not be the place for you. The domes are very comfortable and have great bathrooms, but you can hear the wind since they are made of canvas/vinyl. We loved every detail of this lodge and will recommend this stay to everyone.

• Alec (10/5): Perfect Base for Hiking - We spent two nights at the Ecodomes and it was perfect. Coming here to our dome heated by fireplace with the backdrop of the mountains was breathtaking. The meals were excellent with a variety of tasty dishes. The option for an affordable 'lunchbox' for hiking was handy and a big step up from any other options. Getting a couple of beers and snacks to enjoy in our dome when getting in from a day of hiking was excellent. The staff were friendly and did everything to make sure our stay was perfect.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Would love to go back - We had a great stay at the Eco Domes, and would love to come back someday. The domes are very comfortable and cozy. They do get quite loud when it's windy though- earplugs help for sleeping. Food was pretty good. The staff were amazing- so friendly and always willing to answer any questions and help however they could. The property is beautiful with great views. The neighbor's horses like to come running through during the day. You really feel like you're out in nature there. It is about a half hour from Chalten on a dirt road, so plan accordingly. There is access to the trail up to Tres Lagunas from the property. The trail that goes out the back to meet up with the main one is a little tricky at times, but it was really nice to just walk out the door in the morning and be on our way. Lots of other trails nearby as well. No wifi out there, so get your emailing done while you're in town.
• moli (8/5): Nice hotel for walks and close to the nature. - The crew, the location, the food, the doms where really perfect. The only thing which wasn t so great is that the shuttle bus were not everyday from or to town el chalten. So we had to pay for taxi several times. Maybe even better when u have your own car.
• Andrew (10/5): The warmest welcome - Within minutes of booking the domes, communication from the hotel was brilliant with lots of information about travel from Belén. When we arrived in El Chalten the office was only 5 minutes from the bus station and we were welcomed again by Belén and Maria who got us straight into a car to take us the rest of the way to the domes. These are situated with an incredible view of Mt Fitzroy, the main reason people come to El Chalten. The communal areas are decorated with great style and although the whole place is set up to make as little impact as possible on the surrounding national park, there is a real sense of luxury. The food, for example, was some of the best we had all holiday, Tomas the chef showed a great enthusiasm for everything he cooked and is really talented. I think it's fair to point out that this kind of place won't be to everyone's tastes, you are still staying in what is essentially a tent and so are going to experience the normal drawbacks like flapping tent flaps and it being quite cold in the morning as the wood burner has burnt out. However, it's such an experience and genuinely one of the best places we have stayed. All the staff are wonderful, the view from bed was so good that my wife and I found ourselves staying up far later than normal just to take it all in and that's ignoring the incredible Patagonian national park that's on the doorstep. If you like the great outdoors then this place is an absolute must.
• Lyle (10/5): - A very special place. The only downside was a lack of hot water, but then staying in ecodomes you might expect this. Their service was above and beyond and the location is unbelievably gorgeous.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Glamping at the trekking capital of Argentina - The Patagonia EcoDomes were at a great location. There was private access to trails and a beautiful view of Mount Fitzroy in the morning. When we arrived, we dropped our bags at the offices near the bus station, and we chose to hike to Mount Fitzroy and then the hotel. The EcoDomes were beautifully decorated, comfortable, and had hot showers. The staff were friendly and helpful. Finally, the dinner was delicious, that night offering pumpkin soup, steak and flan. We were only there for 24 hours, but we felt we had a full experience.
