Guest Reviews
- Alieena (10/5): - Clean room, nice staff
- Geoffrey (6/5): - The room was nicer on the inside than the exterior of the building suggests. However, this was an expensive stay for a cheap hotel. Unlikely I'll return
- Elaine (8/5): - Nice location
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Guy in office very rude. Would never stay there again
- David (10/5): - N/A
- Brian (4/5): - Bed was comfortable and rooms looked to be up to date but so dirty! Everything was sticky, had grime all over and one of the bed comforters had dried up throw up or pizza sauce stains on it. Bathroom shower curtain should have been replaced a long time ago, so much grime between tiles and corner of floor. Door was covered in a layer of dirt.
Hotel is off a main road, so you hear cars, horns everything at night. Also there is a train not too far away and in the middle of the night it blares its train horn.
- Adam (2/5): - Have tried to book this hotel twice for employees. The first time none of the guys had a card, which is whatever. I’ve avoided booking this hotel for that reason, paid more to go elsewhere. Last night the hotel we usually used was full, so tried again. Employees were allowed to pay for the room and were locked out by the time they made it to the door. The reason we were given is that, “They were already high, and he doesn’t want that trouble.” Yet they were allows to pay?? Now our employee has to wait for a refund on his personal card, and they had to drive 30min to a different hotel after working for 10hours. Rather bold to assume someone is high when they take multiple random urinalysis screens weekly. When my usual hotel is filled, will be paying the extra hundred from now on
- William (10/5): Way better - I was not expecting the room to be so nice and updated. I've never stayed at a Budget Inn before but I was expecting something like a motel 6 or Super 8, this was way better.
- Consuelo (4/5): - room smells as cigarettes , there is people living full time , there is shoes, plants, chairs, furnitures out of the rooms, crates withs dogs.
it's more a full time rent place than a hotel.
does not worth the money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice ! - Very good basic hotel but very clean all tur amenities you wanted , overall very satisfied
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The water was brown and the towels were dirty as well as the bedsheets the gentleman at the front desk was rude and not very welcoming not a good stay for almost $140 very disappointed
- Teresa (8/5): - I was happily surprised at how nice the room was for a Budget Inn and a check in office behind bullet proof glass. Very clean. A microwave and fridge, but no coffee maker. You had to get coffee from the office. A hot shower, but showerhead broken so a thin stream of water. But just needed a place to sleep and I slept well, so mission accomplished. I would stay again.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - The shower was impossible to keep at desired temperature. Would stay either too hot or too cold. The rest of the room was fine including the bed.
- Janet (10/5): - Very clean
- myron (8/5): - Older building that needs to be updated. Good for a fairly inexpensive stay but its simply a bed and a shower...no frillls.
- Joseph (6/5): If you need a place to stay - It served its purpose. I would recommend if you need to stay there bring your own Lysol wipes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good deal. - It was pretty good. The necessities were provided including TV, microwave and refrig. The bed was comfortable. Considering all of the graduations going on at the time, the price was reasonable. The check-in was efficient. The agent provided helpful info as to places to eat. It all worked out well.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Recently renovated; shower was fantastic.
- Cathy (2/5): - Out of date roadside hotel poor noise insulation worn out room decor and towels. Had to wait 45 minutes to check in to my now non cancelable room as desk clerk was out from 5-5:45 saying he “had things to do”. Stay away.
- Paul (2/5): - No breakfast, wifi and cable tv were spotty. They did not provide tissues. Water pressure was weak in the sink. Pillows were terrible. Price was too high for the services they provided.
- Trish (6/5): - For just to rest the facility was fine.
- John Collins (6/5): - Relatively clean and very safe, road and train noise are present, even late into the night
- Phillip (8/5): - It was easy to get to from Thurmont and close to the attractions I wanted to see.
- Connor (6/5): Good for just a room. - Was in town for a wedding. Just needed a bed to sleep in. It was overall just ok. Bit of a smell to the room and the bathroom had some what seemed like damage in it. Towels seemed to be clean but I didn’t use them.
- Michael (2/5): Don’t stay there - The room was last updated in 1980 and the tv only had 2 channels. The bathroom was so small you couldn’t use the toilet with the door closed, when you used the toilet you had to get up to get toilet paper. The bed was so uncomfortable I felt the springs on my back, I left the room after 6 hours, I would never recommend this location to anyone
- Larry (10/5): - We enjoyed our nights stay here while everything else was booked. Management was friendly and the room was clean. Great stay at a fraction of the cost.
- William (4/5): Hot room - The room was uncomfortable per the extreme heat. It took several hours to cool down enough for me to sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Better service please - It was a pretty great stay. Could have had a little bit better service.
- Turner (8/5): Affordable - I was driving to DC and needed an inexpensive place to stay. It was fine, nothing fancy. Breakfast was some cereal and buns in wraps.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice quaint motel - The room was clean. Perfect to sleep in while in town.
- Melissa (8/5): Good - Front desk was nice. Room was clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Amenities were decent but the condition of the room was not great. Sheets, towels and bathroom were all visibly dirty. It served it purpose as a place to stay but the overall experience was uncomfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was not as clean as it should be, road noise most of night was heard
- Kierstin (2/5): - We arrived for a wedding in the area and decided to stay here. We checked in about a half hour earlier than said time and walked up to a door that was left completely open...Regretting my decision almost instantly. I am a smoker but the rooms offered were not smoking rooms and I prefer to smoke outdoors. Me and my SO were not even in our room for 15 mins when the gentleman who works there decided he needed to return the fridge (that was on the patio) into the rm. My boyfriend already had done so... he insisted he had to come in and clean it and wipe it out; already annoyed I allowed him entry to do so (I dont think he would have taken no for an answer anyway) he and then another woman entered my room threatening to charge me cause they smelled smoke and accused me
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Seemed clean, breakfast was a joke, no coffee, dirt on counter, juice left out, dirty floor,
- S.C. (4/5): - Horrendous noise from Rt. 15 road traffic (constant throughout the night) and horn-blowing trains (at 3 a.m. & about 5 a.m.). Room maintenance not very good: t.v. remote is defective, one of two lamps missing its light bulb, no info card of any kind for motel conveniences or town restaurants, etc. Just bare-bones accommodation: clean room, secure door, no audible fights outside.
- David (6/5): Consider another option - Ok location but bed was uncomfortable and towels old and frayed
- R Russell (8/5): - Recently remodeled bathroom was nice but a little cramped. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly. Overall I was pleased and happily recomend this hotel
- Rodney (4/5): Don't stay at Budget Inn in Orange, Va ! - The deadbolt on the door didn't work. The heating system was extremely noisy. Traffic noise. Milk for cereal and coffee was sour and the innkeeper shrugged it off. Worst night's sleep ever in a motel !!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Noticed a human hair on pillow, room had a "different" smell (not bad but noticeable) and continental breakfast was in the very small lobby (not eat in) and had to be carried to your room. RoomOverall, "OK".
- Lisa (8/5): - Good stay. Needs were met.
- DAVID (6/5): A clean place when $ is an object. - We came in from out of state for Parent's Day at UVA. The hotels available in Charlottesville were priced beyond reasonable for a 4 night stay, so we had to look further afield. Found this place for something we could afford. It was very bare bones, but was clean. Since we basically used it as a base of operations, it was satisfactory.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Probably the cheapest hotel in the area. Rooms are not very clean and not sealed: found one cockroach and 8 stink bugs during a 2-night stay.
- J. Andrew (8/5): Good value, clean and comfortable - Staff was very nice and helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent room for the price - Room was clean and quiet. Overall, I would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was ok for the amount of money we paid.
- Raymond (6/5): Mom and pop - It was ok.
- Tasia (8/5): Great Stay...peaceful! - Very Peaceful
- Angela (2/5): I cannot recommend - worst hotel experience I've ever had
- Verified traveler (6/5): Adequate but pricey for the quality - Adequate but a bit pricey for condition of hotel.
- Scot (6/5): - Adequate room for sleeping and cleaning up. Price was too high for the area and the room. Best Western in Waynesboro for the same price is a lot better. Didn't book in time and that is what I got for waiting so long
- ABM (4/5): Noisy location between traffic and trains - Noisy location between traffic, trains and foot traffic. Decent price but would not stay there in the future. TV was not tuned to cable remote resulting in no power and volume control to TV
