- Benjamin (7/5): I would not have picked it if their would have been good pictures of the place - I got their about 9 pm and was able to get my room The coffee area didn't have coffee, it was very minimal for the price and it was a motel setting with no extras

The only thing we were disappointed in was that there was no complimentary breakfast other than coffee. It’s always nice to be able to grab something from a breakfast bar such as a muffin, bagel, donut, fruit or yogurt.

I know its a budget hotel but that would help a lot---do a couple rooms in a season. They need to make sure all the lights are on when it gets dark it is DARK. - Holly (10/5): Absolutely amazing!!! Can’t wait to go back! - We rented this room last second in the middle of the night due to roaches at an air bnb that was more expensive than I’d like to admit. I’m extremely happy I was able to book here for a very decent price last minute. I truthfully didn’t expect too much, but I was thoroughly impressed. The property was very well taken care of. The room was cleaner than I expected. Everything smelled clean as well as looked the same. The owners were very kind and helpful when it came to the area. The location was within walking distance to the Soo Locks as well as the whole downtown area. We were able to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July right from the property with a perfect view. We will definitely rent here again with the whole family! I truthfully don’t have anything bad to say about this property.

I was able to park four feet from the door to my room. Perfect. I have no complaints and would stay there again. Honestly, no complaints.

- DAVID (10/5): Perfect for our road trip stopover. - The motel was classic mid-century but the staff did a great job with maintenance and cleaning. Very simple but perfect for what we were looking for. Staff was friendly and took time to chat and give information about the area. There was no prepared breakfast but a nice kitchenette area was available with picnic tables and an awning to prepare your own.

The staff were understanding and they refunded us. The bed was small and we found a bug in the bed. I did not feel comfortable staying after that. I later saw a review from July that indicated there were bed bugs. There was dirt in the bathtub after turning the water on. There were some sketchy people hanging out at the motel.

- Thomas (5/5): Clean and nice staff, bad mattress in my case - Staff was friendly and check-in was easy. Rooms were clean, though not really updated. Shower worked well. They also have a little shared guest area with 2 microwaves, a toaster oven and coffee / tea / cocoa which is really appreciated. Free wi-fi a plus. My main issue was with the mattress. While my wife was able to sleep ok, I was not and woke up after an hours with a horrible back ache. The mattress was just to broken down for me. By the time I was able to determine, it was too late, so I ended up sleeping in the car outside while my wife slept in the room.

Air conditioner so noisy it drowned out tv. Fridge unplugged when we entered room, which was problematic since we brought in lunchmeat for sandwiches. Coffee and microwave are across parking lot. Regular coffee very watery.

- Sheryl (5/5): Ok Stay, but would look at other options in the area - The hotel is within walking distance from the Soo Locks if you are able to walk a little over a mile. There are a few restaurants within walking distance also. The Twisted Sister is a mile north of the hotel which offers great food. Parking was great at the hotel; we were able to park right in front of our room. Showers in the morning were great with instant hot water. Check in was quite antiquated with a slow check in process. Seemed like the old 80’s checkin process with slot cards. The owner was very personable and kind during the slow checkin process which made it ok. Rooms are very outdated and in need of much repairs. We stayed in # 107; Carpets are very dirty so wear slippers, socks or shoes. Small window air conditioner for cooling. The bathroom window was pryed open with a stick; I guess for ventilation. Make sure to turn on the small refrigerator in the room as it was not cool when we arrived. We could hear the traffic noise early morning but nothing a pair of earplugs would eliminate if you wanted to sleep in past 7 am. Would probably stay again for an overnight stay if no other option, but not any longer. We picked this place based on a great review from Booking.com.

Shower mechanism required a lot of physical strength to operate. Air conditioner was so loud that it drowned out tv. Have to walk across parking lot to use microwave and get coffee. Regular coffee very watery. Fridge unplugged when he came in. We had to put our perishable food in ice buckets until the fridge became cold.

- Laura (8/5): - The Budget Host Crestview hotel is an older motel, with some modest upgrades. Nothing fancy. The room was clean and very quiet. The hotel is pet-friendly and the rooms are extra large, which is great when you have 2 dogs with you. Because of the extra space, the room felt luxurious and easy to work in. The TV is 4K, which was a wonderful surprise.

He was very nice to chat with and kept apologizing for having to do things a little less quick than normal. The motel is obviously older, however the room was clean, pillows were comfy, and it was spacious. There were alot of vehicles but didnt hear any noise while we were in the room. Not far from downtown area. You can't possibly make everyone happy with beds, I found it a little hard for my tastes but it was still fine.

- Carl (10/5): Wonderful stay - Upon our arrival, I was greeted by who I believe are the owners children. They were extremely friendly. Very down to earth and really seemed to want me to enjoy my stay. I’ve been to many other hotels where the Desk people were borderline rude because they just wanted to get me checked in and moved down my way. These two greeted me as soon as I walked through the door with a big smile on their faces They asked me how my trip was and treated me like they’ve known me for quite some time. They also instructed me where the ice machine and other things were at so I wouldn’t have to search. Anyway, they were very friendly. We went to our rooms unloaded our stuff then we went out to get something to eat. When coming back after dinner, I ran into the owner in the parking lot Who is taking care of the parking lot, cleaning it and checking with other guest to see if everything was going well. When we got up in the morning, I saw the owner and his wife cleaning rooms. Then I noticed both of the children were also helping clean rooms. This really impressed me how well their family works together and how pleasant they all were about working together. I guess long story short this family owned business is taken care of the way I would if I owned it. My family was very happy with our rooms and we were very happy with their customer service. We will be back again.

- Earl (1/5): Never again! - 0 They gave my room (king size bed) to someone with the same last name. Had to take a double bed room over looking the empty pool!

- Bo (8/5): - We've stayed 4-5 times at Crestview. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. We stop here the night before we cross into Canada heading to Maine. There are several restaurants to choose from, although they are not within walking distance.

- Dyanna (6/5): - Not the best. Outdated. Barhroom and shower musty smell. Killed 2 black spiders in the bathroom
- Tom (10/5): - Small room, but perfect in every other way. Five stars, especially for the staff. Very comfortable and clean.
- Donna (10/5): Good room - Came up for my hometowns festival. Everything about our stay was good. We would come again.
