Guest Reviews
- Ashley (2/5): Quick trip feedback - The price and the location. The bottom 2 floors smelled like sewage. It was so strong!
Our keys didn't work at first and the front desk lady seemed as if we did something wrong.
Then the key wouldn't work on a door to come in that clearly states use key card for entry. (When my husband went outside late at night because we forgot something in the car)
Multiple lights in our room didn't work.
The shower curtain did not keep the water in so we had to clean up water on the floor.
All of this when we were there less than 12 hours. We were there for my daughter's graduation.
I have not ever felt this disappointmented in a la Quinta.

- Collins (10/5): -
- Tammy (8/5): I have stayed at College station many times over the last 10 years and this was in the top 2 for convenience and quality - Nice new facility Nothing
- Diane (8/5): -
- Bob (7/5): Decent stay - Front lobby was clean and good breakfast Ac in room was horrible. The room is dated. Bathroom floor missing grout.
- Rose Anne (6/5): Not worth $300 per night. The one desk person appeared to be the only staff on duty did what she could to make us more c - Good location… Very high price for low value. Of course, prices were high due to graduation week—The first room we were given had not been cleaned at all. Beds weren’t made up..bath not cleaned and dirty towels We went back downstairs and got a new room. It was OK but a big dirty spot on the carpet. When we went to take showers the next day there was absolutely no hot water. For the third time we went downstairs and got another room, which was OK and at least had hot water.
The reception person was very kind, apologized and gave us a cleaned up room. However, for $300 a night it was not a good experience. The night before we flew into Texas we stayed at another La Quinta hotel near our airport. That same room was $100 for the night and was clean and had hot water and we had no troubles.
Thank you to the desk manager who appeared to be the only staff in the hotel. When we return next year, we will definitely stay somewhere else.
- Benjamin L (8/5): - Jill andCheyanne are incredible. Highlight of the stay. This place is just older and in need of an update. Hope the building structure is OK. Both interior and exterior need painted, caulked, and cracked parts replaced
- Darvel (9/5): - Nice place. A rather large cock roach appeared in the bathroom. I was able to send him to the trash can.
- Nancy (10/5): Was right off the main road and was easy to find - The front desk was very kind,. It was late when we arrived and they helped us find a place to get a bite to eat.
- Elizabeth Tijerina (9/5): Very clean and comfortable. - The check in was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The breakfast on the weekends was at 7:00 am instead of 6:00 am. We were not able to get breakfast because her game was early and had to be at the field at 7:00 am.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Close to BSW hospital and clinics. Rooms didn't get cleaned during stay. Pool had a funny smell.
- Thomas (10/5): -
- William (6/5): -
- Janet (1/5): Horrible - Filthy hotel. Elevator broke entire stay
- Gabriella (9/5): -
- Negin (3/5): Not recommended. - New building Not a good insulation, too much noises and tumultuous from outside. Couldn’t sleep. Some of the staff had the attitude.
- Viridiana (10/5): -
- Nicolasa (10/5): - Clean & comfortable Good up keep
- Mar (10/5): -
- Margaux (10/5): -
- Lori (6/5): Overall good stay for the price - Staff was very friendly! Hotel was clean. Need to do some maintenance. Wallpaper coming unglued in halls and room; ceiling bubbling in bathroom; pieces of trim missing.

- Julie (10/5): - 1st of all the front desk staff was awesome!! Jill was very pleasant and friendly! Our room was very clean
- Monica (10/5): - Very knowledgeable and friendly staff Broken ice machine
- Juanita (10/5): - Great
- Natasha (10/5): Excellent!! Very Clean and friendly staff -
- Christina (7/5): We were booked into a room. My husband used his key to get into the room. There was a man laying in the bed with no clot - Location and cleanliness They charged my card extra money for “incidentals” and it was not advertised or told to us prior to arrival.
- Victoria (3/5): We won’t return - The staff was nice and welcoming. Bed was comfy. Location was convenient. Fire alarms went off randomly when we were getting ready for an event and we had to evacuate which caused us to be late to the event. There was no fire. Saw a roach in our bathroom. Sounded like someone was banging/ stomping on the floor all night.
- Jennifer (6/5): -
- Nancy (10/5): Great stay overall. - Breakfast wasn’t available when I checked out. Maybe having a breakfast to go bag available for those who want it would be amazing.
- Karla (7/5): Not the best but not the worst. - The bed was very comfortable. The pool was nice and warm and the breakfast was good. I was looking under the beds to see if I dropped something and it was absolutely disgusting! Old bottles, food wrappers, dust, you name it was there. It was at this moment I said the room can have what I’m looking for I was so disgusted I went and showered and didn’t sleep well at all the rest of the trip!
- A (5/5): - Breakfast was good bed was comfortable Upon arrival had to wait an hour and a half to get our room. I feel like our room was cleaned in a hurry because it was very busy that day when getting in the room there was left over toothbrushes and soap in the shower from the previous people that had stayed in that room so it made me question if my room was properly cleaned right or not. Also the TVs need updating
- Dale (3/5): - Hallway smelled like mold. Room had an odd odor. Furniture worn out
- Randy (10/5): -
- Jane (10/5): -
- Cheryl (8/5): - When I checked out I asked for my receipt to show i paid and was told we don’t give receipts you’ll get an email with your receipt and I haven’t received anything. I’m not happy about not getting a receipt.
- Tametria (5/5): I prepaid for my room and they still put a hold on my card which I’m still waiting to be released - They need to clean the rooms better it was hair in my shower. Door frames are stained and a bad smell in the hotel Better clean rooms

- Betty (10/5): -
- MARISOL (9/5): -
- David (3/5): -
- Norma alicia (5/5): - Please stop trying to charge for the night's stay. I paid it in cash there at the hotel on October 17th. Now I have to block my card because they keep trying. I received a notice. I hope this doesn't take. The room was good only the payment issue
- Holmert (7/5): It is a good place to stay but overpriced - The room was clean and quite Too expensive
- Randy (7/5): - Almost 400 bucks/night is way too expensive for a la Quinta
- Trista (10/5): - Amazing stay
- tracey (10/5): - Very nice staff. Comfortable beds. Clean bathrooms.
- Sheila (5/5): - Location Door to room did not shut securely and did not realize they did not service the room daily
- Karen (8/5): Nice bed - The room was nice and big and the bed and pillows were so comfortable!
The carpet in lobby/breakfast area was really stained in many areas and needed either a good carpet cleaning or to be replaced. There were places that needed some upkeep or Renovation as seen in photo.
It was a nice stay and parking was easy.
- Jackie (7/5): Will continue to stay with La Quinta if they don’t look rundown. - The location was great with easy access to highway 6 and little or no noise from the highway at bed time. Breakfast was decent but wished they had someone to wipe off the syrup bottle. Very sticky both mornings that we stayed. Pillows were awesome and ac worked great. Staff very friendly. This hotel didn’t measure up to other La Quintas we have stayed. Renovation is in order because this one looked run down. The lobby carpet looked filthy with black spots everywhere. The staff were friendly but loud talkers in the morning and their conversations carried down the hallway. I enjoy staying with this chain, but this one may be on the schedule for updates and we just stayed between jobs. The location however was perfect for our needs.
- Daniel (2/5): - Outdated rooms, random paint job of different colors in the bathroom, door to the room and bathroom do not open or close easily, especially the door to the room which I had to force open and force closed, and the water pressure was way too hard and painful.
- Henry (10/5): - The front desk lady was amazing and the kindest hotel staff member i have ever met. I have traveled all around the world but i have never experienced service that great
- John (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel. Great stay
- Ramesh (10/5): - Nice hotel and great staff
- Karen (6/5): - When we checked in we were informed that the rooms were only cleaned every third day - no clean towels, no bed made etc. unless we requested it. Which we did. The towels were left on the dresser in the main room. The bed was not made by them. There was hair on the floor and bathtub. If I am not getting my room taken care of the price should be cut in half. Needless to say I will inquire from now on and if this is the norm at other hotels I will not be staying there. We have stayed in other hotels in the past few years and always had the rooms cleaned and towels replaced daily. Will not be staying at that hotel again.
- karina (10/5): - Friendly and knowledgeable staff very clean and convenient
- MARIA (6/5): - The check-in was quick upon arrival. As soon as the elevator doors opened to our floor hall, there was a strong chemical smell; less so in the actual room, but still unpleasant. The cleanliness in the room was not thorough. There was a roach crawling on the wall behind the t.v. and hair in the bathtub. In the morning, the lobby dining area was empty. My family and I reluctantly visited the buffet area, and to our surprise it was clean and well-stocked with many breakfast options (both hot/cold). We self-served scrambled eggs, bacon and prepated TX style waffles. We had orange, cranberry and apple juice from the dispenser. The coffee station in the lobby offered a variety of items, the brewed cofee was especially good. The lady attending to the breakfast area was very friendly and attentive.
- Fernanda (10/5): It was a clean and comfortable stay! - Clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Hotel - This hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the room was perfect for the occasion. Will definitely stay here again!
- Holly (10/5): -
- Nadeem Qureshi (1/5): Dont Book for Building Pictures and reading comment-- they have bad Staff and Worst General Manager. - I Just like the Hotel building in the listing and the Hotel Building is good no doubt, but they are spoiling it with the staff and Managers over there and the Location that's what I booked that Hotel. If the Manager is not the Owner , The owner has to take serious action before every one stop booking this Hotel. Staff
Hospitality
Behavior
Evening Lady at the counter once I checked in
Specially General Manager Latreca Spencer
I booked after reading below comments however realized they were just favoring the Hotel or either paid comment
I wanted to stay more however after my first experience I just run away .
- Virginia (2/5): Dishonest staff - Left my hair straightener & funny no one turned it in. Yeah, cuz it’s a $250 straightener.
- Jill (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Eugenia (6/5): -
- RUSSELL (10/5): - Best hotel near my granddaughter. Stay there a lot. No complaints.
- Jose (4/5): - Bathroom had water damage, mattress had brown stains, hallway had a moldy smell
- Kyle (9/5): It was enjoyable. - Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Staff was friendly in breakfast room and very clean. Same foods every day.
- Tamara (10/5): Great front desk staff - Cheyanne at the front desk was extremely helpful when the system showed I had two reservations. She remained positive and friendly even though she had serval people needing her attention.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trisa (8/5): Very good - The staff was excellent We stayed for the indoor pool as I am visiting my Grandchildren and with the rain we stayed to keep them busy with an indoor pool BUT it was so cold we couldn't use it Very Disappointed we left in the morning and found another place with a better pool and stayed there three days
- Jennifer (5/5): Passable - The person who checked me in was really friendly. The hotel smells like mildew and is much older on the inside than it appears from the outside or on the website. There was peeling wallpaper and what looked like water damage in the hallway to my room. The bathroom shower had several hairs stuck to the walls, which was really off putting. It was a last minute booking due to an emergency, but I really wish I would have chosen a different hotel. I checked out as early as possible the next morning.
- Brandy (10/5): Family trip - We were greeted by such a sweet hostess. She learned our plans and asked us about our day when we came back to the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean. The fridge was the coldest one we have ever dealt with and that was fantastic with how hot and humid it was outside. Cold water was refreshing! If we ever go back there, this is the hotel we will choose again!
- Roman (10/5): - Great staff!
- Christina (2/5): - This was the state in which our room was in when we got to our hotel. Which means they obviously don’t clean or check the rooms before new guests arrive. I asked for a refund and they said they don’t do refunds. I said I wouldn’t be staying here ever. So waiting to hear back on refund
- Kristyn (8/5): - Not as clean as expected and rooms are not cleaned or restocked daily. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was decent.
- Morales (8/5): Comfortable stay! We'll be back! - The place was very clean and looked pretty new, although the smell on the 3rd floor hallway was very strange like there was mildew (maybe due to it being rather warm in the hallway) but once we got into our room, the AC was blowing very cold so our room felt great! The beds were comfortable although the sheets on one of beds was very worn out. The breakfast was typical LQ style breakfasts and was very decent (waffles, bacon, biscuits with gravy etc). Overall, we had a great stay! Front desk ladies were very kind and always helpful. Smell in the hallway, worn out bed sheets
- jose (10/5): - Great
- Jimmy (9/5): We had a great time! - Close to our destination and quiet. Beds were a little hard.
- Debby (8/5): Was ok, charged twice for room, still has not refunded a week later - The pool was closed the day we were there and they did not tell us until we went to go to the pool. My grandkids were with us and they so was wanting to swim, and if we had known when we checked in that the pool was not gonna be open We could’ve made some other arrangements for them to swim somewhere else. Was a huge disappointment for my young grandchildren. I paid cash for my room but they still put the charge on my bank card, its been over a week and they still have not returned my money they should not have charged me.
- Tubbs (1/5): Was quoted a price per night by hotel staff & was charged signif by icantly more. Called to complain & manager w - Central location but difficult to find driveway because you have to drive through a fast food restaurant The staff was unhelpful, often times sitting outside smoking & looking at his phone. The facility was very dirty & run down.
- Cynthia (8/5): - It was nice, my a/c wasn’t cooling as it should
- Holmert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teresa (8/5): Overall very good. - Good breakfast, location and clean. Staff was very friendly. Mattress was old and had a low spot in the middle which caused a person to fall towards the center of the bed when laying down.
- Gwendolyn (10/5): - The property was very easy to find and super close to the university and all the various restaurants. The front desk staff were very welcoming when we arrived and just thought my cat was beautiful (which she is IMHO). Our room was spotless and close to the elevator just like we like it. The hot buffet breakfast was delicious and filling the lobby smelled great. We felt very safe parking there as the parking lot was well lit. Every staff person we encountered was very nice and helpful. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic And the towels were not at all rough or scratchy. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner worked fantastic. The next time we come back to College Station we will definitely stay here.
