Guest Reviews
- Michael (8/5): convenint place to stay whilst visiting relatives - Proximity to Hedon (and hence relatives). Value for money. Not exactly the Ritz, but it is clean, good facilities, friendly staff, and excellent value for money.
- kevin (9/5): Nice hotel in great area - Large room with good facilities All good
- Audrey (10/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): Brilliant place. Lovely staff - It had warm friendly staff. The room had everything you would need including a hairdryer and Iron and ironing board. The bed was clean and comfy. Lovely fresh towels were supplied. It was a really nice size room. There was nothing that I didn’t like
- Peter (10/5): -
- Michael (8/5): Very convenient for visiting Hedon. - Value for money. Daily room cleaning. Fairly spacious room. Bathroom needs updating.
- Steven (1/5): - We didn't stay because we didn't get what we asked so we had to book another hotel and we would like a refund please of £67 what we paid,
Please listen to the customer otherwise don't promise something you can't fulfill 🙏
- Walaszczyk (10/5): - Everything Very good Service
- Neil (8/5): -
- Lee (8/5): Very good - Nice and clean Nothing
- Yara (9/5): - quite bathroom
- Debbie (10/5): - Everything Nothing

- Wright (7/5): Rooms are spacious and beds are good. Nice to have the choice of bath or shower. - This is our half way from home to coast. Use this place all of the time. Been coming here for years. It can be noisy and some people don't know how to behave after a couple of drinks. Place is set up for children but some customers spoil it.
- Janice (9/5): - The staff were great, especially Bethany ? She was managing reception as well as the bar area when we arrived on Friday.
And seeing breakfast on Saturday morning and always with a smile 😃. N/A
- Roland (10/5): -
- Gerald C R (9/5): Good location for me, and although I didn’t have breakfast, it was available from 06.00! - Quiet location, single storey so one bumping around upstairs late at night. Even the tv remote control had working batteries! Old fashioned shower over the bath, but it worked absolutely fine!
- Hilary (9/5): - It's a very comfortable place for us to stay when we visit all our friends in Hull area, staff always very friendly, room clean & comfortable
- Vicky (6/5): - Like that the hotel is attached to pub We stayed in hotel on Saturday/Sunday but on the Sunday night it was really noisy when we went to bed there were doors banging then at 4.35 am someone was braying on a door just up from us until 4.55 am when they were let in. Think the hotel would benefit from soft shut doors.
- Elaine (9/5): - Nice and clean cosy room, ideally situated for our visit to Fort Paull, plenty of parking available. Couldn't fault it.
- Sharon (8/5): Good value and good location - Breakfast was good value and place very convenient. All staff helpful
- keith (10/5): -
- Ricky (7/5): Value for money , the hotel was great but the restaurant was a bit of a let down. But , we would stay again . - Having the room
On ground level and the restaurant on site too , was very helpful. The staff in the restaurant weren’t clear enough explaining how we ordered our food .so we waited 30 minutes unexpectedly.
Also the table we had was squeezed into a tiny corner which was quite uncomfortable for my wife and I .
- David (8/5): -
- Nicholas (7/5): - Was clean and tidy..... Plenty of room Nothing to be fair
- Ryan (1/5): -
- Jane (10/5): - Very welcoming staff helpfull at breakfast very friendly A little confusing coming in late having to ring to get in
- Antony (7/5): Room clean and quiet during the night. We also ate there one night of our stay and the food was good. - Breakfast was good with a nice choice of cereals & hot food too. The pillows in our room were a bit lumpy.
- Richard (9/5): -
- Alan (8/5): -
- Waggie63 (7/5): Another pleasant stay - We stay at Kingstown a couple of times a year, when we travel down to see family. Always friendly staff to greet you. On this occasion we didn't sleep as well as usual. We had a double bed and although this was very comfy, we found it quite small. Must have had king-size in past as we've never had a problem on previous stays. Other than that I don't have anything negative to say. Always have a pleasant stay.
- Shelley (8/5): - Last minute booking for a disabled guest.
The staff couldn't of been more helpful.
- Elijah Lionel (7/5): Decent. - Good location center of town. Decent twin room. Staff are nice and friendly. For the price cant complain. Lift didn't work in the hotel. (Lots of stairs).
No hotel parking, so be ready to pay for parking.
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Denise (10/5): Excellent value and like family - Very comfortable and relaxing There was nothing
- Georgina (10/5): -
- Moira (10/5): Excellent value for money, good food too. - E'thing! Nothing
- Georgina (10/5): -
- Andy (8/5): Excellent stay n location - have stayed here for the 3rd time have always found it to be well staffed and clean, easy to get to by road the room was good only downside was the bathroom sink was cracked so needs to be replaced
- kelly (8/5): We will stay again - We booked last minute we were taken care of and made to feel welcome. The room was warm and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and they accomadated allergies with little fuss , we had a delicious breakfast with friendly service at every point of our short stay. We look forward to staying again Due to family commitments we didnt have time to come back and try lunch
- Leeann (10/5): -
- Russell (8/5): Matched our requirements for the purpose of our stay. - Clean & comfortable. Friendly staff. Good parking. A little tired & could do with a bit of revamp & update.
- Booth (10/5): -
- Booth (10/5): -
- Lee (1/5): - Was easy to book. Location looked decent for accessing Seriously Lotus. Cancellation policy is definitely not the strongest point of the establishment.
I paid for it, so I’m entitled to a review.
- Neil (9/5): Wonderful staff. Would stay again. - Faultless staff here. Always cheerful and helpful. They really made the stay worthwhile. Nice to have the pub and food next door and not noisy also. Easy parking. Carpets in the room were a bit tired.
- Christine (9/5): Enjoyable - All good, we were visiting so suited our needs completely Booked a disabled room, although a low bath hubby couldn’t get in so couldn’t have a shower , we expected a walk in shower in a disabled room …
- Glen (8/5): - Good hot shower
- McAllister (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast nice but small Outside areas need a good tidy up(I realise winter has just finished) but outside undergrowth could still of been trimmed back
- Lorna (10/5): Lovely one night stay. - Staff were all really lovely from my first initial phone call to make enquiries to the last person that served us at breakfast, everyone was pleasant and helpful. Basic but clean decent sized room. Nothing.
- Mike (7/5): -
- Deborah (9/5): -
- LYNDA (8/5): -
- Tanya (10/5): Excellent stay - It's clean warm and friendly staff Maybe more sachets of coffee tea and milk
- Callum (8/5): -
- Mark_Wilkinson_81 (9/5): Great stay, definitely back when in the area. - Easy accessible location, friendly staff - both day and night. The room I stayed in was a bit tied, but friends said their rooms were nice - so not sure if it’s having a partial refurbishment at the moment?
- Tanya (10/5): - I loved the family room
It was spacious and clean I couldn't get the TV to work
Your pillows are small and flat
- Cerri (5/5): Basic for business trips/working away - The room was big.
Access to hot food on site.
Free parking. It's not a dislike, it's more than it just ticks a box.
When you need a hotel for business or working away, it has what you need.
Nothing is amazing but it has what you need and it's a decent standard.
Little things that are annoying more than anything are no plugs by the bed, the kettle doesn't fit into the sink to fill it properly, the pillows were uncomfortable and flat and the bed was hard.
- Rod (8/5): Nice to see youngsters having fun too - Useful times for food to be available The way that booking .com increased the price closer to the stay date.
- Anthony (9/5): - Room was clean and warm staff very friendly good parking...food lovely in the pub very efficient staff..
Would highly Recommend... Shower rail rusty probably could do with an update..
- Alan (8/5): - Convenient location Nothing
- Baldwin (10/5): -
- David (5/5): -
- Gemmell (10/5): - Great staff and facilities
- Brown (10/5): Felt very welcome and had a very comfortable stay. - Lovely friendly attentive and informative staff, comfortable room and good food. Easy to find with ample parking. Nothing.
- Summer (6/5): -
- Coulman (8/5): -
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Giovanni Carmelo (8/5): Pleasant and enjoyable. - Overall Breakfast was good value for money. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. One issue with the comfort of the room - The Pillows - lumpy sadly took away the shine from a good sleep.
We did ask for them to be changed, this was done - seems only the pillowcases were changed as it made no difference.
- Steve (7/5): Very good - Good location
- Hannah (8/5): - Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely large comfortable bed. Room overall was a very good size. Excellent location for what I needed. Only thing is the furnishings are a bit dated and could do with an upgrade but overall very clean and comfy.
- Graham (9/5): -
- Susan (9/5): - Stayed many times when visiting family never had a problem Had lunch there on the Saturday which we don’t usually do, disappointed that the coffee machine was broken so had to have an instant coffee and wanted lasagne but they didn’t have any!
- Jean (8/5): The pillows were too hard. Could do something when closing the doors quietly - On our first day we had a cooked breakfast. Which could improve. Instead of fresh egg I asked for scrambled egg. Which was like rubber. The hot drinks are horrible. They are cold. Hot drinks need improving
- Giles (7/5): -
- David (8/5): Ok - Food was value for money Could have done with more tea, coffee and milk, plus glasses would have been nice, and a rail to support U in and out the bath pl
- Clare (5/5): It was Ok - Good location for family in Hedon
Friendly reception staff
Good value for basic room Poor soundproofing
Heating not controllable - we tuned on the radiator as it was a bit cold but it didn’t come on
Dirty carpet
- Tom (10/5): Was excellent. Great friendly staff - Location was great. Good value for stays. Will definitely be returning in the near future The only thing I have to complain about is the lack of a little refrigerator in the rooms. I drink a lot of water/pop throughout the night so would be nice to have them in a fridge.
- Barry (7/5): It was good - Receptionist was friendly as were other staff we met. Room was clean and tidy. Last time we visited the breakfast was unlimited, it's changed to a set menu which we didn't realise when booking.
- Alan (8/5): -
- Jackie (10/5): - Easy to get to.
- Zach (9/5): -
- Debbie (8/5): Great stay - Location No air con
- Stephen (8/5): Great value and a very comfortable hotel with helpful staff. - Excellent value for money and staff were really pleasant, helpful and accommodating.
- Raymond (8/5): Great stay at a ghood price - Breakfast was lovely I arrived late so just went to bed, was a single bed but comy enough Stay was ideal, double bed would have been better but cant complain
- Tommy (1/5): - Didn’t manage to stay the night, walked out.
Old smelly and unclean
- 470klr (2/5): Don't waste your time or money! - Sorry to say this will be the last time we visit, how it has changed in 6 months!
Same money, alot less food - even though we bought the boost your meal!
- Gemmell (10/5): -
- martin (10/5): - Everything
- Paul (8/5): -
- Ben (5/5): - Quiet and clean Hot water wasn’t working properly luke warm, paid for a family room with a double bed and on arrival we noticed it was 2 singles pushed together so was a gap in the middle of the bed which made it uncomfortable.
- Ana (9/5): Slightly dated but great value for money -
- GORDON (10/5): -
- H7751VFowenr (10/5): Great stay staff and food can not complain - Really great experience your waiting team were the most professional I have ever meet really helpful and plesent I order the 18oz rump steak really good and delicious please pass this on to the kitchen the chefs did a good job thank you
- Stephen (10/5): - Convenient clean great staff and exceptional value for money. Bed was too small.
- Andrew (10/5): -
- ernie (8/5): -
- Darren (8/5): Good Base for what I wanted - Used as a base for touring the esturary for a couple of days and was ideal for that purpose. Room was a little hot overnight. Care needed with the shower due to the heat of the water
