- Leanne (9/5): Lovely stay in great location . Would recommend . - Self catering apartment used as a base for Badminton weekend . Half an hr travel and accommodation at a ‘normal price’ for the weekend with multiple routes to Badminton horse trials . Located in lovely village with facilities , we shopped en route for food but used local shop for essentials . Village pub very friendly . Would be lots of options for walking and exploring the local area . 1 hr from The farmers dog which we did venture to . If I’m not picking - The property had everything we needed although a little more cutlery would be useful . Couldnt get the main tv to hook up to the internet but barely used this anyway . Parking is very convenient as not designated property parking in a free car park across from the property only once had an issue with space as nursery pick up time so useful to know for timings . Very lucky to get a space outside the door on one occasion . Also useful to know there is limited outdoor space to the property , there is a courtyard which could be lovely but seems a little neglected . (As a note to maintenance - The porch door into the property also needs rehanging - was difficult to open fully )
- Juliet (8/5): Very comfortable and lovely location. Would recommend. - Spacious and comfortable in a lovely location. Access was easy. Great shower and plenty of hot water for the four of us. Parking a little tricky - the car park opposite was very full. Would have been helpful to have more sponges/cloths for washing up and cleaning the kitchen. Lock box hard to get the key back into on exit.

- Christine (10/5): Well appointed accomodation in lovely guiet village close to Bath & friendly cafe arpund corner. . - Good selection of jams, tea, coffee & biscuits. Very comfortable beds & towels. Plenty of mirrors for dressing in our period costumes for the Jane Austen Festival Parade with 2,000 keen Jane Austen fans from all the world. Communication before arrival &
after were very good. The information about the area was helpful. The key safe was very difficult to open on arrival & we had to call the owner for them to explain the knack of getting in.
The doors front & back a bit vulnerble.
Srong scent of diffuser sticks set off migraine & asthma.
Creaky doors

- Claire (10/5): - Perfect location, excellent breakfast at Birdcage Cafe!
Property very clean, comfy beds, fluffy towels, lots of hot water.
- Roger (8/5): Did what we wanted - It was perfect for our short stay The table and chairs could be in a better position

- Roseannne (10/5): - Just brilliant loved everything
- Beverly (10/5): Would recommend - Good communication with the team. The house is a few steps away from Toast, a lovely coffee shop where we had breakfast. Lovely decoration, throughout the apartment. We stayed as we were going to a nearby wedding, so it was good to find an ironing board and decent iron in the wardrobe. It was also nice to be somewhere that hasn’t come out of IKEA. Laycock is about 20 minutes drive away which is worth a visit, take cash to laycock as there are lots of quaint homemade items for sale on doorsteps with honesty boxes.
- Jill (9/5): This was my second stay at Benson House. It is a lovely comfortable appartment and in great location - Really lovely appartment with great facilities The neighbour upstairs sadly woke us up at 05.15am on Tuesday morning when he got up for work and we could hear him getting ready before he left at 6am.
I found the pillows were hard in the twin room.
- Evan (8/5): Very good -
- Carole (10/5): A great apartment in a great location - Spacious, well presented and very clean Nothing!
- Susie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (9/5): Excellent, charming house with all the modern amenities in the charming little town of Box. - The house was cute, clean and very well stocked to use the kitchen and bath. Parking was easy and there is a lovely cafe just next door. The location is great as long as you know you are in a separate town and Bath is a good 15 minutes down the road. We loved being in a little town and had a terrific walk in the countryside one morning. The shower is a little strange with what looks like a typical shower head but is really just a hand held shower. It does not bend down to provide water from above. But that was a minor inconvenience.
- Kate (9/5): Lovely, clean and comfy apartment; would definitely book again. - Location was good but a bit further from Bath than we'd realised. Note for future visitors: the Bengal Bear has good food but is a BYO! :) Dinner table layout. We ate breakfast on our laps but the table would need to be moved if the 3 of us had wanted to sit round it for dinner.
- Henry (10/5): Well equipped comfortable accommodation. - The place was clean and fully stocked up with everything you’d have at home. Comfortable and quiet.
- Michelle (9/5): Wonderful - Spacious, warm and comfy The main tv does not connect to the internet. Only the ones in the bedrooms so group movie night was a no go
- Catalin (1/5): Bad - Was not clean Was not clean
- Glynnis (10/5): Exceptional - The village was delightful and the house was great with excellent amenities.
- Sheran (7/5): Good - Lots of space, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. The lighting was very dim
- Gelsumini (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (9/5): Lovely apartment close to Bath - Property was easy to find with plenty of free parking in a small car park a few paces away. Spacious, clean apartment with a kitchen including all equipment, cutlery and crockery that you would ever need.
Only a short drive to main supermarkets and Bath is also not too far.
Lively cafe around the corner, local shop 2 minutes away and a great Indian restaurant and takeaway 5 minutes walk away. Some of the windows were difficult to open and close, one had to be closed from the outside!
Limited TV channels for some reason even though we tried to address this (TV was locked)
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Duncan (9/5): Superb -
- Efstathia (10/5): Lovely property - Wonderful property in a very convenient location!
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - Warm comfortable, everything that you need.
- Sara (9/5): Superb - Very well equipped. Very comfortable beds with nice linen. Easy to find. Free parking near accommodation.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (10/5): We had a fabulous stay, can’t wait to return. - The appartment was lovely, clean and cozy.
- Stuart (10/5): Excellent place with great facilities, would definitely stay again -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - There was so much space and a quaint location. Nice view, good amenities, convenient location!! Some of the doors and locks weren't well aligned but the place was a great value so I didn't mind the imperfection.
- Hepburn (9/5): Superb - Loved all the space, and access to dishwasher, washing machine and children's toys. N/A
- Noz (9/5): Reasonable comfortable stay around Bath - Great kitchen - had variety of cooking tool and pans. Spacious living room / nice big sofa. Reasonable pricing around Bath. The living room Tv wasn’t connected to wifi
- Deborah (9/5): Beautiful and comfortable place - The place was spacious and the kitchen was perfect for preparing a full course meal. The beds were very comfortable. Some of the bedroom pillows were a bit stiff.
It would have been nice to have a couple of throw blankets while watching tv in the livingroom.
No Internet access which was critical for us to communicate with others back home. If there was Internet then I would have given a 10/10
- Sally (9/5): Superb - Smelt of damp slightly but wouldn't put me off rebooking as was a lovely apartment with everything you need
- Sharon (8/5): Really pleasant stay - Location was quiet and easy to access lots of different local attractions and areas of interest such as Avebury, Bradford upon Avon, Bath and National Trust sites. The place was well equipped over with just a couple of kitchen item and hand towels that would have been useful but not a deal breaker. The beds were super comfy. The neighbours were all friendly and we found parking ok but I can imagine in peak season this may be an issue. There is a convenience store within a short walk and large supermarkets a drive away. We would definitely return if wishing to be in the area again There was an odd smell on arrival each day, a bit like damp but no damp and seemed to disappear after a while which was odd. It would be great if the TV was updated as we brought a Firestick to use but couldn't access the internet
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lori (9/5): Very good location and spacious - great for a family - Loads of space, central, warm, clean , lovely kitchen and TVs everywhere . Convienant and high enough that during the flooding we did not have to worry. Quiet. Pillows weren’t great- quite uncomfortable, not enough towels. Parking was limited and difficult
- Philippa (9/5): Great stay, well located for visits to Bristol & Bath. - Spacious and well organised. Parking was a bit tricky. One of towels was dirty. Bulbs in kitchen out.
- David (8/5): Very good - Lots of space quiet Decor a bit corporate especially the sitting room
- Gurmit (8/5): Very good - Rooms, kitchen facilities, easy to park car
near by. Info on shops in Box was out of date as the shop had closed down. We had hoped to save ourselves a further car journey to get milk etc on arrival. The pull switch on the bathroom extractor had come off so only the tallest in our party could put it in/off.
- David (9/5): Very clean rooms, well equiped kitchen, Great stay -
- Veronica (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful village and great location and apartment is beautiful and spacious Wifi not good and lack of free view on the television s but ok
- Cara (10/5): Exceptional - Comfort Beds
- Lucinda (9/5): Lovely stay and perfect to explore and retreat back too! - Lovely and clean, great place as a base to explore, nice and quiet! The scented fresheners in every room was over powering and the double bed linens were made up the wrong way.
- Prudence (9/5): excellent stay saw and did plenty. location perfect - location parking at a premium. parking wardens prowl and not much free space.
- Prudence (8/5): Very good -
