Guest Reviews
- Jesús (10/5): Buen cottage para descansar - Casa muy espaciosa y bien equipada con todas las comodidades. Situado cerca de Bath y otros lugares de interés. Nada en especial.
- David (8/5): Great stay in a small comfortable cottage with easy access to towns, villages and attractions in the area. - Well designed cottage with everything we needed for a three night break. Bed linen was clean and fresh and beds were comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for our needs. Well located with easy access to Bath and surrounding countryside. The renovation work is about 15 years old and there are some minor maintenance issues that need addressing but this did not detract from a very enjoyable stay. Thank you.
- morano (10/5): - Un piccolo gioiello a due passi da tutto il più bel countryside Inglese
- JORDI (10/5): -
- Chappell (9/5): Lovely stay at Queen Anne's Stable. A noisy busy crossroad but the noise didn't disturb us. - A cosy, character property. Secure parking for cars. Paul the owner was lovely
- pat (9/5): - Very nice property in a good location lots of little towns and pubs around
- jason (10/5): - Just stunning and they made it so ey
- Janine (8/5): Restful place for a short stay - Very comfortable beds and sofas. It is barn style and had a few low ceilings
- Shaun (9/5): - A very comfortable property that we have stayed in before. A little issue with the hot water but a phone call sent the owner immediately to sort out. Great location lovely property and it seems nothing too much trouble for the owner. Really can't complain As I said really can't complain
- Lauren (8/5): A great place for a family to stay - Very spacious with a homely feel to it.
It had everything we needed for our 2 night stay.
The beds were really comfortable and the kids slept well too.
It was the perfect location, a close drive to our family that we were visiting.
We would happily book and stay here again! Being off of a busy road, it was a bit noisy with traffic.
The main bedroom TV remote wasn't working properly, batteries maybe running out. So we just used the lounge instead.
The visitors book pen is broken so needs replacing, it was a struggle to write in the book as we didn't have our own spare pen.
As we read through the guest information booklet, on the back of one of the pages a previous guest had written their Chinese order on it in red pen.
Lastly, our check in time was late so it was dark when we arrived. The cottage wasn't very well lit, so it was hard to see. There was outdoor lights strung up on the fence but they weren't on. We had to use our phone torches.

- James (7/5): Lovely cottage, great hosts! - Lovely home feel, well set out and clean. The hosts were fantastic. A little bit tired, especially the bathrooms. Need to drive for pub etc.
- Tatiana (10/5): Best time ever - Really lovely host & amazing property. We had the best time ever

- Fionnghuala (9/5): Perfect base near box! - Lovely apartment with all you need in it! easy check in and out - perfect for our weekend. A few little dead insects around, but other than that all was great

- Paul (9/5): Topverblijf in de buurt van Bath - Geweldig complete accommodatie, heel sfeervol en centraal gelegen voor bv Bath, Lacock en Stonehenge. Veel privacy en ruimte.
- ivet (7/5): -
- lisa (10/5): - A beautiful cottage! Only about 6 miles to Bath, making it a fabulous location 😊
The owner is very friendly and welcoming...my hubby particularly loved the tour of the garage, so much that I was left to unpack the car! haha
But that was ok, because he really does have a love for classic cars!
Although this is on a crossroad, it is still very peaceful at night time, so no problem sleeping!
Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area 😊
Thank you 😊
- Valerie (7/5): - Het huisje is mooi gerenoveerd. Op verschillende plaatsen in het huisje waren er heel wat stofdraden en spinnewebben.
- Smart (8/5): Great stay!! - Lovely accommodation with great amenities. Location was good for good walks, Bath and Bristol so all very central.
Had an electric charger on site so made our life easier.
Paul was very friendly and helpful, gave us lots of tips on where to visit. My only issue was the noise from traffic as you are right by the junction however I had my ear plugs so wasn't too much of an issue.
- Oscar (10/5): Exceptional - Another fan in the summer hot nights.
- Kirsty (6/5): Comfortable property and friendly host, let down by proximity to the busy road. - Comfortable beds and the kids enjoyed the number of televisions on offer! Location was a disappointment, being so close to a busy and noisy intersection. This was not indicated by the photos shown online so was a bit of a shock.
- Amanda (8/5): Fantastic - would stay again. - Lovely little cottage, very well equipped. Location is a bit isolated - definitely need a car to get around.

- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional - Positioned perfectly for our weekend visiting Longleat, Swindon and Bristol. Pretty much immaculate interior with everything we could think of provided. Lovely comfy bedrooms with 1 en suite and bathroom downstairs with jacuzzi bath and even a built in tv. A real home from home What's not to like.
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (10/5): An ideal, comfortably, cosy spot to explore Bath and surroundings from. - Very comfortable and convenient - we got a real sense of generosity, from Paul meeting us outside the property to the sheer number of telly screens throughout! It was the little things that differ refreshingly from many locations: a full bag of dishwasher tabs rather than a couple counted out individually, a full bottle of shower gel to use. In so many rental places you get the feeling that every penny matters to the host. With Paul, he says he wants the place to be like one he would want to stay in, and it feels that way. The location is what it is - on a relatively busy crossroads. But honestly, we were in no way bothered by the road(s). The hedge is cleverly positioned and the noise is negligible - and silent at night.
- Sharron (10/5): Excellent place to stay, the location was perfect for what we needed. The place was warm and cosy as the weather was sho - Location and decor
- Belinda (8/5): A great location a short drive from Bath. Plenty of room! - Very spacious property with comfortable lounge area and very well fitted out kitchen. Beautiful green lawns around the property. Quiet, despite being on a main road at 5 crossways intersection. Owner Paul lives on site and is very friendly and hospitable. There are a number of other buildings on site, it’s not as isolated as appears in the pics. Pillows weren’t great in main room.
- Sasha (10/5): Homely and Historic -
- Paige (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely home from home feel - very cosy and clean+
- Helen (9/5): A thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable stay, many thanks. - It was a lovely roomy unit with great linen, good facilities and a well set up kitchen. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. TV's in both bedrooms, kitchen, lounge room and bathroom with spa. Great quiet outdoor space.
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Norwood (8/5): Very good -
- Graham (7/5): Good -
- Julia (10/5): Quirky cottage with every comfort met. Even has a tv in the bathroom - The garden is not secure if taking a dog or young child. Open access onto the main road.
- Carla (8/5): Lovely place! - The tranquility of the place, the house was very cozy with lovely decoration! It was a really pleasant surprise!
With 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen with all the appliances needed, a spacious living room! The patio was perfect, with a table and chairs and there was a small garden 🥰
We will come back for sure! The only thing that bothered me was the shower in the upstairs bathroom. It had a lot of limescale and some black dots. Apart from that the property was perfect!
- Janine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gail (3/5): Poor - Not much to be honest Dark, there was a problem with the shower room, it obviously was a problem with leaking water mold and the door frame was in bad disrepair. It would have been useful to have known about all the steps and beams darkness of the rooms. My husband is registered blind and there is no disability advise, there should be.
- Thais (10/5): Relaxing family time - It’s a lovely place where you can relax and have some rest. My son loved the jacuzzi. I definitely would like to come back in summer and spend some time there again. The double bed is with two single mattress what makes a bit uncomfortable to sleep, but apart from this we loved our weekend there.
- Skrine (10/5): A calm, comfy, clean and cosy place to stay during a very rainy week. - It was comfy, clean, nicely decorated, some thought had gone into dressing it seasonally without going over the top, everything worked, very comfortable. Provision of torches and a wellie shoe horn was very thoughtful. The jacuzzi bath was in good condition and fun. Free jams, biscuits, dishwasher tabs and washing machine tabs were useful and meant we didn't have to go and buy whole boxes. A couple of easily fixable bits and pieces which I've mentioned to the owner and wouldn't be relevant here. The hot water struggles elsewhere when the bath is being run but once you know this it's no problem.
- Marcel (8/5): Stylish renovated house on a busy crossing - Lovely old semi detached house that has been renovated to a very high standard. Good sized rooms and well equiped kitchen. Around the house tv screens and outside a decent size, well maintained private garden around. Friendly and helpful manager next door, thanks Paul. Very close to a busy road and crossing so not a very quiet place.
- Olga (9/5): Superb -
- Charles (10/5): Absolutely brilliant and characterful, comfortable and clean, very friendly host. - Queen Anne's Stable was one of the best short stays I have ever done for a race weekend. When we arrived at 11pm on the Friday night after setting up for the weekend, Paul came out to greet us with a very warm and friendly welcome.
The cottage is great - two well equipped bedrooms with lovely accent decorations, plenty of plug sockets, bedside lamps, the whole lot. Every small luxury you would want from short stay accommodation was there. The main circulation spaces were excellently decorated, with history from the stables and nice decorative features without lacking modern luxuries such as LED lighting and whatnot. I found the bed to be comfortable, shower was nice and hot, everything worked as it should.
This is perfect for a family with 2 kids, but it is also cost effective for two solo travellers looking for separate rooms for the price.
Paul was excited to show us around some of the restoration work he has done on the property, of which we are both fans of, so enjoyed talking about what he had done and what future plans were.
I will be staying again. This is one of those stays where I am struggling to come with something. There was a TV inside the mirror in the bathroom, how cool is that!
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - short drive from Longleat Perfect for a family long weekend x
- Paul (10/5): Was excellent nice people lovely cottage and very clean - It was in a good areas nice scenery clean toddy very well presented
- Anne (10/5): Beautiful character cottage. - This is the third time we have stayed at this lovely cottage. Spotless and well appointed, it is a home from home. Bath, Bradford on Avon and Corsham are literally just down the road; it’s ideally situated to visit the surrounding area. Lots of lovely places to eat.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (10/5): loved our stay here and would recommend - Fantastic property, clean and tidy and just a short drive from the centre of Bath.
- Susan (10/5): Ab Fab place to stay! - This is an amazing conversion. Gorgeous interior and great facilities. It was tastefully decorated and kitted out. Some very unusual features inside and out. Beds really comfortable. I enjoyed my stay here and will return if I needed somewhere to be near relatives again. A home from home. Perhaps a light covering the stone steps to the property, as I came and went in the dark? There was a light over the door, but it didn't light the steps till you had gone down them?
- Piotr (10/5): Exceptional - It was a pleasure to stay at this cottage .Everything that you need is the. Highly recommended for everybody. Nothing
- Lindsay (10/5): Wonderful accom in an ideal location for Bath and Avebury. - Lovely, spacious very well equipped stable conversion. One of the best serviced accommodation facilities we have stayed at.
- Georgina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Perfect little place to stay - Absolutely loved this little cottage. They have thought of everything that you would need. Beds are amazingly comfortable. Best place i have stayed in a long time. N/a
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Nick (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (8/5): Good location Comfortable accommodation. Not first choice for tall or elderly folk or fast broadband - Self catering. Beautifully clean, and has been very nicely decorated and furnished throughout. Comfortable lounge and dining furniture. Multiple TVs and electrical equipment. WiFi rather slow, and my O2 mobile signal was poor.- though others had no problem with their phones. Hosts were there to meet and greet us and were very welcoming and helpful. The kitchen knives were very blunt and didn't sharpen with their sharpener. Could barely cut carrots properly.
Bathroom door squeaked disturbing sleep.
As should have been expected, Crossroads Farm is on a busy ( at times noisy) cross roads, and emergency vehicles often put on their sirens, even at night, as they approach, disturbing sleep. The second bedroom is small with head-bangingly low ceilings- not the place for anyone tall or elderly!
- Charlotte (9/5): Superb -
- Jordan (10/5): Comfy - Beautiful little cottage, has absolutely everything you needed! Was more homely than my actual home. Host was amazing and warm and greeted us. Just wish we didn’t have to stay for business so we could of enjoyed this beautiful little place
- Tracy (10/5): Home from home - absolutely lovely - Excellent location fabulous accommodation and added bonus of a jacuzzi bath -will definitely receive and return
- Lyn (8/5): Quality and standard of accommodation was excellent, sadly the traffic noise spoilt the stay for us. - The Cottage was really good. Beautifully and tastefully furnished to a very high standard. It was well equipped with everything needed for the stay. The cottage was located on a very busy 4/5 way crossroads with traffic light controls. The heavy traffic sadly made it very noisy, often until late into the night and very early in the morning so it was difficult to get a good nights sleep.
- Dixon (10/5): Well appointed cottage in the Cotswolds - Handy location to key towns in the Cotswolds Lovely cottage which is well appointed with excellent facilities. Comfortable living. Home away from home.
- Paula (10/5): Wonderful place to stay and would recommend - Beautiful surroundings. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine with tumble dryer, oven, hob and microwave. Beds so comfy. Complimentary biscuits, jam, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, shower gel and towels. Loved the jacuzzi bath with the tv in the bathroom. TVs in all rooms except the shower room. A must stay! It was hot on our stay and the living room patio doors could not be opened.
- Lucy (9/5): Excellent choice of location to visit surrounding areas and perfect size for a family of 4. - The location was excellent - right at the crossroads to get to Bath, Bradford on Avon, Melksham, Lacock and Corsham. We found the farm easy to find, great setup inside - loved the layout upstairs (and so did the children).
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Ross (10/5): excellent facilities , had a great time - great history told to us by Paul the owner Traffiic a bit loud, mostly racing motorcycle
