Guest Reviews
- Roger (9/5): Was peaceful. I got the rest I needed. - It was nice and it allowed me to get out of the cold at the last minute thank you, Skip
- Will (4/5): - easy access to many things, we were on our motorcycle's so we wanted to walk to the restraints. The sign says free wifi and continental breakfast neither of which they have here.
- Austin (1/5): made up an excuse to leave same day because it was unsafe and gross. - The area had a lot of loiterers. the room stunk of weed despite being a no smoking room. bedding had cigarette burns in it. the room just felt dirty.
- Shelby (3/5): Poor - Nithing Everything
- Shelby (3/5): Poor - No No
- Pat (2/5): Very poor -
- Kulp (1/5): It was horrible. - Nothing The room was very disgusting. When I checked the bed sheets they were still dirty. Then when I lifted up the sheets the bed was truly disgusting. It had hair, crumbs, and nasty stains all over the bed. I didn’t stay the night I got a refund.
- Nichelle (8/5): Great little old style hotel... - The beds were very comfortable, the AC worked, lots of parking. The staff was very pleasant and kind. Lots of street noise, AC is definitely getting well used, it was noisy...
- Rebecca (4/5): Disappointing - No wifi provided as stated. The office is closed most of the time.
- Clifford (5/5): Passable -
- Michael (2/5): - Dirty and unclean rooms. Felt like a drug motel
- Brenda (2/5): Very poor - The room was adequate for a one night stay. The receptio.ist was unhelpful in the extreme. He did not remaim in reception but guedts had to ring a bell each ti.e and the guy ambled out slowly. He clai
Ed he could not find my booki ng. When he found it he claimed i had not prepaid (which i had)
I had to pay an additional $2 in the end.
Lots of yelling by receptionist (manager i believe). Poorly maintained property. Windows filthy snd cracked window pain.
- Pete (2/5): very dissapointing - Nothing I booked on line and paid for my room with a credit card. On arrival the desk clerk asked for an additional sum of money - two dollars. The clerk was from India and I couldn't understand him at all. The room had already been paid. it seems to me to be a scam. I won't be back ever.
Second problem. I was booked into a "non-smoking" room. On entry I could see that the table next to the bed had many burn marks. Of course the desk clerk had left already.
This place is a joke.
- Didier (4/5): Dishonest! - Motel by the road. Neither horrible neither interesting. Simply a old motel a bit run down with only a little fridge inside. Be careful! It Is written there is a breakfast but it is false ! IT IS DISHONEST !!!. Instead of putting a coffe machine in the room like other Motel, this motel put a filter coffe machine in the reception et you can take a cereal bar. It is not a breakfast ! And the reception open at 8 am. If you leave before, you won't be able to drink anything.
In addition, the housekeeping is not realised. We found a fingernail on the carpet.
- Lambert (1/5): Ooof... where to begin? - That I could park my car right beside my room The owner charged me an extra dollar for some reason lol and that was just the beginning. The room that he sent me to had food splattered on the walls in two different corners, super ratty towels when luxuriously soft is advertised, Mold around the seal of the window that the mechanism to open it was broken on and then we come to the what appear to be "axe" marks in the door. Half a pot of cold coffee and a mini muffin was the Continental breakfast advertised across their billboard. When I asked the owner for a bottle of cleaner and a rag so I could clean the walls he chose to respond by parading around room to room searching for the cleaning staff that he had just got done having an argument with and freaking out that I had a dog when I clearly designated so on his sign in card that he thrust into my hands when I arrived while charging me that extradollar SMH! 😅 I offered him the opportunity to compensate me for the overall experience rather than writing this review however he adamantly refused sooo now you know....
- Notoria (1/5): Bad - Nothing The manager made me pay more money in cash to check in. He said that the discount on booking dot com was not is price so I had to pay more money to get a room that I already paid for
- Methuselah (2/5): - My employees were denied a room after purchasing a room through Expedia were told there was no such reservation after being charged for it through Expedia
- Ian (2/5): This accommodation should be de-listed - Nothing Extra payment wanted, room quality poor even for cheap cost. Thin walls, connected plumbing noises, noisy family occupants
- Smartlogistics (5/5): Cheap motel at an expensive price. Only makes sense to stay there if you wanna smoke, but you cant! - No smoking despite advertisements The place is way overpriced
- Ardie (3/5): Many downsides - The room was quiet all night long. The bed was comfortable but see note below. The carpet looked new, no stains. The motel was old and we were late getting a reservation (there was a bb tournament in town) so our expectations (@$85 per night) were only for a clean place and polite staff; we were disappointed on both counts. We had difficulty understanding the man at the desk. We paid online at booking.com but he insisted we pay $3.89 more for a "service fee." They advertised that a Continental breakfast was provided but when we checked in he said it would be only coffee; the office with the coffee machine wasn't even open at 8:00 am both days. The inside of the MW was filthy and the backside of the bathroom door was spattered with something. The room was quiet all night long. The bottom sheet had cigarette burn marks near the pillows on both sides.
- Ted (4/5): - Repairs needed
- Mandi (7/5): Good -
- Jeffery (3/5): Never again will stay or recommend the motel. - There was no shower curtain, there was hair in the sink, WiFi didn’t work and somebody’s rotten food in the fridge. Also tv remote did not control volume and wouldn’t turn off.
- Clayton (6/5): Pleasant - Price location management Rooms were cold and outdated decor
- Clayton (6/5): Pleasant - The price.management Rooms aren't updated in decor
- Ken (4/5): Disappointing - Location TV not working, WI-FI not working, broken toilet seat, musty/mildew smell, table too big for room.
- Oleksandr (1/5): We were double charged by booking.com and hotel. After a week of asking hotel still no response. -
- Gary (5/5): Our room assignment did not work for us, helpful and accommodating management. - Management is helpful and goes beyond the norm to accommodate special circumstances. I am a severe asthmatic. On our 2023 summer trip the Canada forest fires contributed to several episodes where my breathing was greatly impaired. When we arrived at the Ski Motel we asked to see the room. While cigarette smoking is not allowed in the rooms, the odor of smoke was evident. The previous renters had not followed the non-smoking rules. They were booked full and no other rooms were available. The management was very understanding and gracious, allowing us to cancel our reservation after the deadline. For this reason we give the management our thanks and the highest rating.
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional - Went to great falls for our 50th reunion. Price was right. Room was clean and quiet. Owner mark was very nice. Enjoyed our stay. No real breakfast, but there was no room to have a large breakfast in the lobby. My coffee was good enough for me.
- Gordon (2/5): Very poor - Nothing about the motel , the bar next door was very friendly. The service was very poor could not find our booking and the room felt mouldy and was not comfortable
- Gary (8/5): Very good value for the money, older motel, but clean, beds were comfortable, room was all good. - Room was clean, beds were comfortable, owner was polite and did his best to ensure we were satisfied. Poor wifi service in room, and pop machine did not work properly, which is provided by a 3rd party.
- Michelle (3/5): Never again stay here. - Checking out the next day was the best part of this whole experience Room smelt very old. Didn’t like going to get a coffee at the office in the morning and got greeted by a man doing up his housecoat. He smelt very bad. really you’re running a business get dressed before you open the doors
- Gerard (9/5): Great stay, happy I found this place. I will stay here again on my next trip through. - This place is great small hotel especially for the price. Owner greeted me upon arrival and checked me in. He was super friendly. The price was reasonable especially for the height of tourist season when I was in the area. No coffee in the room but owner had a big pot brewed in the breakfast area in the morning.
- Grover (5/5): Close to my appointment the next day. - Continental Breakfast was not very good. Coffee was adequate.
- St (7/5): Good - Price was right, right on the highway, and had enough stuff close by, we didn't need to drive.
- James (6/5): Pleasant -
- April (1/5): Bad -
- Larry (1/5): Bad -
- Shayne (1/5): Bad -
- Corey (7/5): Clean rooms, bad breakfast - Doesn't look like it on the outside but the room was very clean The "Continental breakfast" was a joke.
Day old mini croissants and bad coffee does not a breakfast make.
- Wanda (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great I have daughter in the hospital and it was in walking distance. There was nothing that I did not like.
- Fortnite (8/5): - We were switched from Ski to Central motel. Central needs a bit of exterior work but the room was good for the value. It was clean and suited our needs for our 2 night stay. Central location in town and everyone was very nice.
- Wendy (6/5): Property is showing its age and even the low price didn’t fully compensate for the condition it was in. - It was close to other places we wanted to visit. The air conditioning blocked all the street noise. Beds were comfortable. Desk clerk was friendly. The lock on the entry door was broken. The bathroom door was warped and wouldn’t close. The water faucet in the bathroom sprayed water outside the vanity. The lights by the bed did not work. Internet connectivity was poor and kept dropping off.
- Robert (9/5): We wanted a cheap night stay in a clean room and we got what we wanted. - The location was great and the price was right. The room was very clean. TV had tons of channels.
Bedding was clean. The room had a smell when we got there, but we left the door open for awhile and it dissipated.
- Roy (6/5): - Room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful, but the room in need of repair.
- Tom (5/5): Passable -
- Jean (8/5): Very good -
- Lora (7/5): Good -
- Gary (7/5): Good - Large room, a/c worked Small bathroom
- Amber (3/5): Friendly owner-- rundown motel - The man working the counter and I assume running the hotel was very friendly. He was up late to make sure we checked in and was there to say goodbye in the morning. Room smelled really bad. The air conditioner didn't work that well. The bathroom was in poor condition. The doors had holes and scratches all over them. The breakfast was merely coffee, an apple and a donut from a mini fridge in the office.
- Justin (3/5): Poor -
- Amber (7/5): Okay stay for passing through - Very convenient location Room 113 smelled of smoke and it was very hot and the air was not on and took several hours to cool off the room.
- Darshan (9/5): Superb -
- khiem (4/5): - Roach motel for price of hotel. Cleaner worked his ass off.
- Ronald (5/5): Passable -
- Edna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ken (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (2/5): No go - The concierge was rude. The bathroom was dirty
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The check in guy did not speak English so he was very hard to understand. He did not have our reservation. He did still have a room available though thank goodness. The room was not clean we had to go track down a broom to sweep it and then we still did not walk around barefoot. It was a little scary and the room next to us had people coming and going all night knocking on the door!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When I came into the front office, I handed my reservation paper to the person, and he took a look at my reservation papers. He suggested I to call Expedia because he wanted to know how much the rate for the room. I am deaf, and I didn't have time to call Expedia. Based on my observations, I didn't see the personal computer and the credit card system at the front desk except for room reservation papers. I was so disappointed and frustrated. I walked out of the front office and left. However, I came to Great Falls from Missoula to attend the Montana Association of the Deaf 51st biennial conference for this weekend as the secretary of the statewide organization of the deaf. I explained my situation at Ski's Western Motel to these deaf registrants and some officers of Montana Association of the Deaf. Fortunately, one of the officers offered me to stay overnight at her house which was so sincere and kind enough to alleviate my anger and frustration toward the gentleman at the front office. I didn't pay any cash or hand my credit card to the gentleman. However I already made my online reservation via Expedia with my credit card before coming to Great Falls from Missoula, MT. After having some kind of calamitous experience at the motel, I made my own decision not to make any reservations at this motel ever again. I prefer to make reservations at either O'Haire Motor Inn in downtown Great Falls or Holiday Inn Great Falls where I have pretty good and positive experiences in my past.
- RJS (10/5): - I had a great experience at this motel. Chose it for price despite some dicey reviews, and of course, it's an old road motel. But I found the owner friendly, the room freshly cleaned--including machine-cleaned carpet--good bed, TV, everything I needed. Grateful for the hospitality, and I'll definitely stay again if I pass through the area. Note sole owner-operator is busy so sometimes away from office. Be prepared to call when you arrive. I did, and he appeared immediately, no problems.
- Thomas (4/5): Clean and comfortable room, but loud quests - The room was clean and the bed was new. The other motel guests were loud, up all night , in and out of their rooms. But the room was good. Could have been quieter.
- Erin (8/5): - It was nice
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was dirty. They lost our reservation. The owner was extremely rude to us when we got in. Their continental breakfast was a couple little pastries.. the worker had no clue where the cereal was kept.
- Sunnie (2/5): Ewwww - When we got into the room, I had to use the bathroom. I noted there were chips on the seat, and thought nothing of it, until I stood up. The chips were gone, which meant they were on me! So, into the shower. The shower drained slow, so I looked in the drain. There was a hair ball in there worse than if I were washing my dog. So, I washed my butt, then got out.
The really bad part is I was next door to a hospital because I was having surgery in the morning and didn't want to travel a long way in the very early hours, and I was supposed to take two specific type of showers before arriving at the hospital. When I got to the hospital, they made me re-shower after I told them about the place. If we had not gotten there so late and I wasn't so broke from medical bills, I would have left.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The manager was very polite and kind.
Property is located in a very busy area so there was quite a bit of traffic noises late into the night.
- terry (10/5): - very clean comfortable room w/ all emenities we needed thank you. terry anthony
- Shane (10/5): - Although an older motel, the staff willingness to accommodate made this stay excellent.
No frills but an overall great experience.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was clean, but old, the door didn't work very well. The other guests were very loud!! Even though, the guy that checked me in was being kind of grumpy about rules with me, he obviously lets people do whatever they want because we had people keeping us awake all night.
- Scott (6/5): Decent Place to Stay in Great Falls - The room was fine. Not a 4 or 5-star experience by any stretch of the imagination, but for a cheap place to stay, it was fine. Clean and comfortable enough for us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location was a plus and negative. The location was a good base to explore. The location is on a main artery, so traffic noise was an issue. Behind the room was a parking lot for a bar. Was woke up at 2:00 AM to an argument in the lot. The room, somewhat dated was very clean. This worked for a one night stay, but will not book if I return to Great Falls. Staff was very friendly.
