Guest Reviews
- jennifer (10/5): - Love this place !!!
- Layne (8/5): - Nice room, nice view,
Would of been nice to have some kitchen utensils and plates bowls, dish soap, with restaurants closed or closing early, would have been nice to heat something up in the microwave,
The place was nice, clean and great location
- Larisa (10/5): Best place to be at for your anniversary - Beautiful motel. Clean and amazing!! Definitely will come again!! My man and I had amazing time! Thank you!!
- timothy robert (6/5): - We enjoyed the jetted tub,and of course the ocean view from our second story balcony. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room overall. Having stayed at another Beachfront Properties property in the past,I was expecting more. Our room had been through the normal maid cleaning before our arrival, but it’s in dire need of a deep cleaning. The windows have an unacceptable amount of mold on them(especially the bathroom),the cabinets were dirty, and the refrigerator stunk. The fridge would also pull out of the cabinet if you didn’t hold the top as you opened it. Overall an “ehhh” stay for us. I’ve had worse accommodations, but not for over $200 a night when all is said and done(419.60 total cost).
I should also mention that getting to your room requires climbing a few flights of stairs,so I would steer clear if you are elderly or disabled. Not a knock on the room at all,but just a heads up to potential renters.
- Christopher (8/5): - Such great views! A beautiful, quiet place to relax for a weekend or longer. Highly recommend!
- Susan (10/5): Great stay! - Wonderful stay!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There was hair in the shower and the fireplace didnt work
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Loved the view. The privacy was wonderful and how quiet it was, only the sounds of the ocean.Cleanliness was amazing. Sadly the ambience of the room was ruined by the fact of wooden chairs being the only thing to sit on. 2 cushioned chairs would have been nice or a sofa. We brought in the patio chairs from our deck for comfort. Our bed had a sheet and a thin quilt only, yet left us robes to wear. Would have like another blanket option. This would be a great room to spend the night and leave. Not for a extended stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Did not get what we had booked. Got "upgraded" to a hotel intsead of the condo suite we had expected. Noisy all night. Worse than my apartment complex that we are trying to get away from. Not something that i would waste a birthday on again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We got a suite with direct access to the ocean. Just had to go down the stairs to access it. It was a beautiful view! We also had a hot tub with direct view to the ocean. Totally recommended!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing view that makes up for any small issues. For example, Vents and tops of things were dusty and not overly clean and I had to tighten the bathroom door knob. The in room jetted tub is great! The balcony view is worth EVERY Penny. Being able to listen to the waves all night was spectacular. In room gas fireplace does a great job of keeping this very comfortable. We will be back for sure! Mackenzie at the Starfish Manor was very polite and a great help for local things! She’s a great asset!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was just the absolute perfect getaway. Was clean quiet; quick to the beach
- Tony (10/5): Loved IT! - I would stay here again. Great view, food within walking distance and The beachcombing was rewarding.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was great lady was super helpful room wasent all that clean and room did not have tv control
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gorgeous view - An astoundingly gorgeous view made better by thoughtful choices throughout. The whirlpool tub overlooking the ocean is spectacular, as is the fireplace beside it. They even provide robes! The bed is comfortable, and the space has a microwave and fridge if you need it. Having to check in at another hotel across town might be the only point of confusion I encountered, and even that is made better by the fact that this building is so separate from the usual hotel hustle and bustle. The space is private and cozy, like you’re staying in a home, but one that’s immaculate and maintained to hotel standards. Stay here!
- Will-j (4/5): - View and room were very nice, however the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Headed to the chiropractor and massage therapist today.
- Maria E (6/5): great views but needs some work - Overall a nice place. Disappointed the living spaces weren’t very clean. Under the sofa cushions was sand and chips etc. The floors need a deep cleaning as there were stains all over the laminate. The freezer and fridge also needed a wipe down. The bathroom and bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. The landscaping needs some work and trimming the foliage as you go down the stairs to the beach is a safety issue.
- Lovedit! (10/5): - Beautiful room. Beautiful view. Beautiful area. Only thing that was not that great was having to check in at a different hotel 11 minutes away. Not a big deal but unusual for me.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I will choose somewhere else next time
- Victoria (8/5): Nice enough - The room was nice enough. Tub was nice. Nice view of the beach with beach access. Lots of stairs so be prepared for that. No screens on the windows and no ac in the room so it was essential have the windows open. The bed was hard as a rock and the only other place to sit was a wooden chair. Would be nice to have a small couch with a coffee table instead of the table and chairs. Maybe a memory foam mattress topper on the bed. No maid service due to COVID 19 but we were able to get clean towels delivered daily. Parking also isn’t ideal, very small spaces and no one knows how to park. Making it impossible to fit 5 cars in their lot. In the end we enjoyed our stay but I just wanted to point out some things about the room that could have been improved.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful views, very relaxing. This place was worth the drive down from Seattle
- Lisa (10/5): - It was beautiful and I even had rose petals in the bed this time.
- Gregory (8/5): Yes - Stayed , it’s great
- Angie (10/5): - Excellent!!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the parking hassel! - Narrow street, little street parking. 5 units, 5 reserved parking spots. Returned in evening and all reserved spots & street parking taken. Called after hours contact, he didn't know what to do. Told him I'm waiting in my car, in cold & dark, call the rooms and tell them to move unauthorized cars or call a tow truck. He had to call for permission. 20 min later I called back, he said they were calling the rooms. 25 minutes later still nothing, but thank goodness someone on the street moved so I could park and finally enjoy my expensive room. Never heard back from proprietor, no sorry, no discount. Will never stay at any of the many properties they manage again.
- Debbie (8/5): - Room was clean, alittle stuffy but thankfully there was a fan available.. Had a beautiful view of the ocean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rip off - When we arrived at the hotel, we were met with a sign on the door entrance saying we had to check in at the starfish hotel. What? There was no communication from the hotel that we needed to do this. We had to drive back about 10min to the starfish hotel. We were a little early but couldn't check in because they hadn't cleaned it yet. Finally, check in time came and they still had to call to verify the room was ready. We got back to the room and we're greeted by a great view. That's pretty much this place has going for it. The bathroom was very small but forget the size, it was dirty. I mean, just look at the pictures. All it needed was a little effort. There was also hair hanging from the hair dryer, not sure who's; disgusting to say the least. The tv was so small and for some reason the audio didn't work. This place has so much storage space, I'm not really sure why. It was a good thing we were right by the beach so we could cool the room by opening the slide door but even then, it was super hot at night. There's no a/c here so you're at the mercy of the weather outside. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Worst two nights of sleep. I really wish we'd stayed elsewhere. Paying over $500 for two nights for an uncomfortable sleep, dirty bathroom, and no a/c is a complete ripoff to me. I love having the ocean view but I'd much rather have a clean comfortable place to stay for much less than what we paid for here. Never again Nelscott Manor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My wife and I liked this property. Going to sleep with the sound of the ocean outside was very restful. The large jetted tub helped to sooth our muscles after hiking. While the space is not overly large, it has a wonderfully functional layout. The view of the beach is lovely. We would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great Property. Bring your own shampoo! No a/c and honestly you dont need it. Lots of steps to beach! We loved the view! It was amazing. Over all we would stay again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was an amazing place the views the ocean the whales the seals the amazing beach to walk. I couldn't think if a better place to go and recharge. We will definitely be going back i loved the book of sharing all the visitors to our room shared as we did sharing our stories and joy with others is great.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The view was amazing! Our room was ground level and to sit with widows open to the view was an awesome, but we constantly had people walking by so it was not really that romantic.
- Stephanie (10/5): Very romantic - What an amazing place. Perfect romantic getaway. Including rose petals!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My reservation got mixed up, and they were great about helping fix it. BEAUTIFULLY STUNNING VIEW OF OCEAN!! Made my mom's birthday extra special! It's an old house that's been remodeled, so it could still use a little work in the bathrooms, but the shower was amazing! Would absolutely stay again, and hope to one day! It was hard to tear ourselves away when it was time to check out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cozy and quaint. Great location. Beautiful view and access to beach and nearby tide pools. Would love to visit again. Would be great to have a mirror outside of bathroom in #1 unit. Instead of table and chairs in #2, have two comfy chairs and a coffee table facing ocean.
- Jennie (10/5): - It was so relaxing. It was clean. Just wish we could of stayed longer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly Recommend!! - Absolutely beautiful! Very spacious. Gorgeous Ocean View!! Full kitchen set-up. Such a great weekend relaxing and touring. I highly recommend this place. Worth every penny! Great staff!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing, beautiful, wonderful place to stay! Highly recommend. View from balcony breathtaking, whale watch from balcony also. Close to town but not right in the middle so not overcrowded with tourists. Worth every penny, we stayed 2 nights. This was just the 1st of many more visits back.
- Wendy (10/5): Wonderful weekend - We stayed here for our anniversary weekend. Everything was wonderful. Spent hours on the deck watching wales. Beautiful views, fantastic hot tub and plenty of towels. Adequately stocked kitchen. Oddly, there were no kitchen towels or even a dish sponge which I assume was just an oversight when the room was being restocked. It wasn’t an issue. Parking wasn’t an issue. Would certainly recommend and will likely be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely gorgeous.
- Kathie (4/5): - Had handicap parties. Was told only a few steps from property and beach. Two flights to get to room 60 down hill steep stairs to beach. Very disappointed
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay very much.
- of. no intrest (2/5): Horrible room by the sea - 1. To begin with, we had to drive 4 miles beyond the room to obtain a key, and then, only after 3.00pm.
2. Once at the room(not a hotel) we had to cart our suitcases up 25 steps . No elevators. No attendants.
3. One room, including bath, toilette, bed, table and chairs. Not sufficient room, nor stands, to place suitcases. Room was incredibly small.
4. Once outside the view of the sea was beautiful.
5. However, the number of steps down to the beach was huge, far too many for the average person, and definitely not for those over 70.
6. In all, even though I have stayed in Hotrls all over the world, I have never experienced anything as bad ad the conditions in, and surrounding, this small room, pretending to be a hotel room. At, may I add, premium cost.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Close to the beach but very dirty and run down - Hotel is close to the beach but it is old and run down. Our room was dirty. I would have been better off sleeping in a tent.
- Barbara (10/5): A must !!!! - This was an amazing suite. We will come back again and again. Watching the sunset from the private hot tub on the lanai was breathtaking.
- James (8/5): Needs to be cleaned - This was a really nice room but it was not clean. Maid needs to look inside the bottom cupboards in the kitchenette, they have not been cleaned for a really long time. The shower still had hair in it from previous guests. The faucet on the tub ran water out of the knobs when you turned it on and the kitchen faucet leaked water when turned on also. If I was paying 80 per night this may not have felt so bad but for 243 I expected better.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great View and Great Staff - Staff did a great job and the view of the ocean was great. No AC and the fire place has a small flame the entire time. Said switch was on the wall and clearly labeled, but was not. Should add notes to check-in instructions explaining this. When we arrived in our room it was 84 degrees inside and it took until 10pm to finally get down to 70.
- Amy (6/5): Jetted tub was the only good thing! - I loved the idea of this hotel because of the jetted tub! However that is about where the appeal stopped. The bathroom was TINY, not even enough room to put our toiletries bag. The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on in my life!!! Lastly there were ants in the kitchen and we didn't even bring food into the room!! All in all, not worth the pretty penny I paid and most likely won't be going back.
- Latasha (8/5): - It was an amazing room with an amazing view the only only thing that wasn't great were the ppl next to us. But other then that it was a beautiful weekend my Husband and I were celebrating of 4year wedding anniversary before I had surgery. If you want a romantic gateway stay there or even at one of the sister property they are amazingly beautiful
- William (4/5): Needs repair!! - Room was showing signs of wear. Bathroom door had a large hole in it. Missing piece of carpet. No comforter on bed. Furniture and cabinets are wearing. I've been n this same room before and it wasn't this bad. Used to be a nice place to stay. Not any more!
- Bryon (6/5): - The view to the beach was great, the room was very small and there was ants in the kitchen area. They had a tv the size of a computer screen which wasn't a big deal. Overall very average hotel.
