Guest Reviews
- Jacqueline (5/5): Provided shelter but won’t stay again. - Location The hotel hadn’t taken the consideration to properly clean & disinfect a non-smoking room that had been smoked in. The room needed an old fashioned dusting. the shower bench & water handles were covered in soap scum that simple baking soda would remove. The upstairs neighbors were so loud, I should’ve called the police after 10pm. The breakfast & staff were good.

- Beverly (7/5): -
- Mary (1/5): - I upgraded my room and the room was breaking down. Furnishings awful. Smelly. noisy Everything

- chaney (7/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): Excellent Room But Noisy Guests - Very clean and very comfortable beds. Although the rooms were soundproof, you could still hear what all went on outside your door. There was a rowdy bunch breaking beer bottles and having a good time as we were trying to sleep.
- Walter (8/5): - Ice machine not working, breakfast could be a lot better
- Mary (8/5): It was fine - The bed was not just right the edge by the bathroom had ridge on it
- William (5/5): - Location to family The bed was not comfortable
- Frediejun (10/5): -
- Akina (7/5): Great stay, nice staff, comfy beds and great location - Breakfast was good, wish they had some bacon and some non-pork meat options, like turkey bacon. Loved the staff and the comfortable beds. Some of the bathtubs were old and peeling, need to be replaced or upgraded. Would have liked more breakfast options.
- Walter (10/5): Would come again - Location and the room The pool was not working and dirty
- Rochelle (10/5): -
- Rickey (6/5): It was doable. Slept good shower was hot. - Not worth the price. Ceiling fan was very dirty. I cleaned the edge of the blade because I couldn't stand that above the bed. The tub did not drain properly. Stood in ankle deep water when showering. And the tub finishing was peeling pretty bad.
- LEE VARITA (8/5): -
- Clemmie (10/5): -
- Emma (7/5): Comfortable and functional - Reasonable range of options at breakfast. Comfortable bed. The room was a bit dated. It’s beneath a flight path so bear in mind if you are sensitive to noise early in the morning
- peter (6/5): Good value and pleasant. - Very friendly staff especially on reception.
Good location.
Good value. Rooms were not particularly clean. Hair in the sinks etc and we found an old sock on the floor.
- Anxtiona (10/5): Satisfied customer - Comfort and cleanliness. Great location, I always stay here whenever I come this way. The breakfast could use some changes with choice's of items.
- Cristina (10/5): -
- Kristina (10/5): - Rooms were nice and comfortable, the AC worked great, the bathroom was truly clean and did not even have a single spot of mold or mildew anywhere, there were no bugs or anything else in the room and you could tell they actually wash and clean everything thats machinecwashable in the room. The bath products offered were actually nice and didnt dry out my sensitive skin, they had free, hot breakfast included with our stay, and I was even able to watch Netflix on the TV in the room. And the pool was operational and well kept, too. Veey clean looking. Employees were actually nice and greeted ypu with a smile. There was even a basket of complementary deodorant spray offered at the front desk. This is the nicest Best Western I have stayed at in a long time. Thank you, hotel staff, for making our stay so pleasant for our family. We will definitely come here again if we ever need a place to stay in this area.
- Jonathan (8/5): Nice stay! - Clean A bit noisy
- April (8/5): - The bathtub in my room (108) was chipped and cracked so bad i had to spread a towel down in the tub to take a shower, i was afraid that i would cut my feet
- James (9/5): Overall a great stay for Monroeville, AL. - Staff were friendly and very helpful. I was expecting a full buffet breakfast. It was a continental breakfast. This should be mentioned in the description of offered services.
- Natasha (8/5): -
- Chestnut (8/5): Overall, our stay was quite pleasant. - It was average. The scrambled eggs. They were dry.
- LP (3/5): - Breakfast was not very good at all. Food was cold and some was not cooked very well. Both days we were there the pool had people that were not guest. They were driving up with 4 to 6 people per car. Probably 12-15 people. The mattress needs to be replaced. You just sink in them. Breakfast was cold.
- Stephen (8/5): - Front desk staff helpful and nice
- Joseph (10/5): - Bed comfortable
- Louis (8/5): -
- Bin (10/5): - very good
- patriciasL5814EX (4/5): - The bed was good, however I had to keep the bathroom door closed because the fan was very loud needed to be replaced along with the towels they had holes in them and were dingy. The front desk lady when I checked in was very accommodating, great customer service.

- Gloria (5/5): Passable -
- Wendy (5/5): Mediocre. One of only two hotels in town - Location The hair dryer didn’t work. The water in the shower wouldn’t get warmer than room temp. I believe I was in Room 108
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Troy (8/5): Very good -
- Silvia (10/5): - We stay here all the time when we come visit family. Have enjoyed it each time.
- Christine (9/5): Superb -

- Vanessa (8/5): What We Needed for the Night - Good location, room was comfortable and cool. TV was a bit confusing but nothing major. Decent breakfast.
- James (10/5): It was wonderful -
- Debra (10/5): - Hotel is nice. Decent breakfast. Good location. Two stories but NO ELEVATOR! I forgot to ask for a bottom floor 🙃
- Phil (4/5): - I made reservations for two rooms one month in advance but when we arrived one of our rooms was occupied. We went into the room which had clothes, etc. In the room. We were given another room in a different building. Huge mistake by the motel.
- Melissa (10/5): - The staff person at the front desk was genuinely pleasant and friendly. She greeted me as soon as i walked in the door. This property appears to be an older building, however, it was VERY clean and everything in my room worked perfectly (the AC, tv, shower, coffee pot, iron, etc.). I did not have any problems while lodging here. I would DEFINITELY stay here again if/when I am in the area. I highly recommend this property.
- Jackson (5/5): It was fair. - The property was fairly clean. I went to check in at 2:55 PM and was told my room would not be ready for another 20-30 minutes. There were only 2 employees cleaning and weren’t finished due to the fact it was a full house on Friday night. So, we had to wait, we had a commitment to be at, luckily we had enough time to get ready. Breakfast wasn’t very hot temperature wise.
- Victoria (10/5): - Rooms were clean, staff was friendly
- Christine (10/5): Great service - Bookclub trip to attend Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird annual festival Hotel was a great location for getting to and from Monroeville square. Friendly staff. The evening Front desk staff even made a fresh pot of coffee when we returned from play. Rooms clean and comfortable. Definitely would stay here again.
- Teresa (10/5): It was pleasant and the bed and pillows were great. I slept very well! - The breakfast was good. I would like to have had the option of bacon as I am not a sausage person. Otherwise it was a good breakfast. There was not option for bacon.
- Kristina (5/5): Passable - The room was great they only worrisome thing is we were told by a friend that we were visiting that the day after we checked out there was a big drug bust at the hotel and that they were making the drugs at the hotel which makes me worried about my kids health
- Scott (8/5): - Clean property
- Katrina (9/5): Superb -
- Sherrie (6/5): - One of the chairs looked very dorty
- Teleishia (10/5): - Great customer service and clean establishment.
- Teleishia (10/5): - Great customer service and clean establishment.
- BOBBY (8/5): - No thanks
- Whaley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moni (1/5): Bad - Nothing. I felt I had been in a time warp back to the 1980s. I hope you will update this hotel. Everything felt old and tired. Harsh fluorescent lighting in a room meant for sleeping is not good. And the breakfast was not edible. Sugary, fattening and stale items. Nothing fresh. Terrible.
- Kelby (4/5): - Place needs a lot of fixing up.
- 991catrinac (10/5): My second time here and I will be back. - Stacy in house keeping made sure my room was clean and she had the best customer service and very respectful.
This is my second time here for business. I will be back to this location. Best stay with friendly staff. I will recommend this hotel.
- Brittney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (8/5): Very good - I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable it was. The front desk attendant was super sweet.
- Dmitri (2/5): - room smelled like smoke, dirty pillow cases
- Bionca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (10/5): Great stay on Monroeville. - The hotel had been updated. Our room was large and we had a good breakfast.
- Bivco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (4/5): - We had some problems with service. The morning of our arrival I called to ask to be changed to a room with one king instead of a two queens. I was told no kings were available, although it showed 4 available online. The clerk told me that her system didn't show any available. We decided to try again when we arrived. Upon arrival when I asked to be changed to a king room on the ground floor I was told the only ones available were on the second floor. We decided to stick with the double room. When we got into the room the smoke detector was beeping like the battery needed to be changed. A guy came down and took the smoke detector out of the ceiling. I asked him if he was going to replace it with another and he said it must be the wiring as he had just replaced the battery recently. We were already late to our event, so I didn't press it. As we're were leaving the room to go to our event I noticed through the open curtains that the room next to us was a king and apparently unoccupied. We left for our event as we were already late. We returned late that evening and I noted that the king room was still vacant. It was late so we didn't feel like changing rooms so we decided to go to bed. When my wife turned down the comforter on one of the beds she found a large rip in the bottom sheet. I called the clerk, who offered to bring another sheet. We decided to just use the other bed. When we left the next morning we noticed that the king room next door was still unoccupied.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pat (4/5): Room okay night staff unfriendly. I did find the afternoon person very friendly however - Location for our trip Overnight person not friendly. Kept me locked out from 5 to 5:30 lobby and while inside watching something on a tablet.
- Patricia (4/5): - The room had a bad odor. There was leftover items in the refrigerator from the people before us. The breakfast was some of the worst I have seen. The yogurt was expired, the waffle mix came out oily/watery looking, the orange juice came out of the machine of a color I have not seen in OJ before. The hot water for oatmeal was cold. Needless to say we did not eat from the breakfast buffet.
- Felicia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debby (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): - Staff members were great. Very nice each time i stay here. The only negative thing is I wish they had bacon as a option for breakfast but overall everything was good. Thank you. 😊
- Garth (10/5): - Great customer service.
- Dwight (8/5): Our stay was very good. - Breakfast was nice and the location was fine. The staff was great! The staff had a hard time making the key cards work. We had to be moved to a third room because of the key card. After the first day, we had to go back to the office to have the cards reactivated.
- Xavieria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (10/5): - They are pet friendly but our room was really clean. I appreciate that they are doing renovations but it isn’t loud at all this evening. We had an area to walk our two small pups. It is a very convenient, quiet, and much better than expected room.
- Kevin (10/5): - Very friendly staff . Clean rooms and plenty of food for breakfast .
- Howard (2/5): - Tried to cancel but phone person wasted enough time to tell us we past our time 15 minutes and couldn’t cancel without a 200.00 charge!
- Karin (8/5): Southern Comfort and Hospitality - Nice place, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Free breakfast with eggs, sausage, pancakes, bagels, toast muffins, cereal, yogart something for everyone.
- Reginald (2/5): - This was a motel. The property had a moldy smell to it. The ice machine on the level that I was on didn’t work. The room had spider webs around the air conditioning in the room. The toilet inside of the room was not properly mounted on the floor and moved when it was used. Very bad motel.
- Bryan (10/5): - I evacuated Louisiana because of hurricane Francine, with my elderly mom and small dog. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the free, full breakfast every morning. The room was clean, large, and the AC worked well. I particularly appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. Our evacuation /stay away from home was quite pleasant. Thanks.
- Ritchie (10/5): - I had a great stay at the Best Western Inn in Monroeville from September 6th to 8th, 2024. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth check-in and offering excellent service throughout the weekend. The location was convenient, and the amenities, including free WiFi and a delicious breakfast, made the stay even better. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend the Best Western Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Monroeville. I'll definitely be returning!
- Kathy (7/5): Everything was good but the coffee - Clean rooms Bad coffee
- Connie (10/5): - The manager was very nice and helpful. I liked having a fridge and microwave. It was quiet and the room was large with plenty of outlets for devices to charge.
- Debra (8/5): - Clean, safe lodging
- Guffery (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great
- Ernest (10/5): - Excellent.
- Chancey (8/5): Best Western - staff was nice, breakfast was very good. location was excellent Our room was very dusty from construction. There was trash in the bathroom and the tub/jacuzzi had body hair in it.
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (10/5): - It was a place to rest for a night on the way through. It was clean and there weren’t any bugs.
- Seana (2/5): - A bad experience - had to check-out with my family after three hours, due to terrible condition of hotel and pool area. I was not expecting Best Western to provide such shoddy service. The bedroom smelled strongly of tobacco smoke and was not very clean, with old furniture. The pool was closed but I was advised to use the neighbouring hotel's one, as both hotels have the same owner. It was horrible - filthy area with broken tiles on pool and broken furniture. Expedia were helpful but the hotel refuses to refund my stay, despite understanding the problems.
- Devin (10/5): Exceptional -
