• Jonathan (1/5): Avoid this motel masquerading as a hotel. Half a star at best - The outside was picked up and clean. The heater did not work and in the morning when mentioning to the staff the responses were terrible, condescending, and avoided accountability on their end. Customer service was absolute garbage. Late arrival and I didn’t realize the heater was not controlled by a thermostat woke up at 4 am to a cold room and figured out the heater was controlled manually turned it on and went back to sleep and woke up to a cold room still. They said when I mentioned it I should have said something they could have gave me a “small heater” Not sure if that’s a safe anyways. Having a small heater in inventory tells me this has been an ongoing issue and they are cheap avoiding paying for a new unit or getting it repaired. Said I would be given a partial refund. They did not honor it.

• Allison (2/5): Huge safety risk - Upon checking in- we were given a key to a room that had someone already in it. We walked in on the person. We stayed 2 nights. The second night at 1:00am someone was given a key to our room and walked in on us while we were sleeping. This hotel is putting their patrons at huge safety risk. I will never stay here again.

• Christopher J (8/5): Gateway Hotel for Rio Grande Valley - The Falfurrias staff were friendly and accommodating; the room was clean, and overall comfortable (below-window style HAVAC unit). The pool is tiny, and the hot tub actually a "cold tub," so wouldn't count on either as "amenities." For a place to stay to/from the Rio Grande Valley, a nice value.

I was #3 in line (we had different rooms) and it took every bit of 15 minutes or more to get us checking in at the front desk.

We got fresh towels daily when housekeeping would come by if we needed them and they came later to clean up the room when we were out. I saw they had breakfast from 6AM-9AM but I would wake up too late to use it, which is on me and not the hotel obviously.

Bed too close to wall like maybe 7-8" away from wall. Making it difficult to get in and out comfortably. Toilet had to be flushed 3 times just to get a clean flush.

I can't really imagine how a building affects the ecology other than its presence. Anything that might affect the ecology would be the result of culture or municipality malfeasance. Eco friendly what a crock of crap - I did not witness the motel pouring chemical waste into the watershed if that what you mean. I did not witness the motel burning plastic or rubber on the property, polluting the vast volume of air that encompasses the planet. I did not witness the building destroying the surrounding wildlife. What does that mean you need to remove that question and tell Blackrock to suck it. This environmental accountability is going to destroy you mark my worlds they are trying to enslave your business don't play their games.
