• Jamie (2/5): - The rooms were decent but when I showered I noticed the towels folded had dirty marks on them I called to request more towels and I was told I had to go pick them up in the office. After showering that’s just not something you want to leave the room for but it wasn’t so bad

• Erica (5/5): - Staff is always friendly. The location is ideal. Breakfast is good and coffee is always available. We have stayed here several times and each time gets a bit worse. Our room wasn't very clean: there was hair on the floor and the towels were questionable. All three bottles in the shower were completely empty.

• Bethany (2/5): We chose this hotel for a small trip anniversary stay and it was extremely disappointing although we didn't let this - The location was quiet and near a beach We didn't have hot running water night 1 and in the morning. Our microwave had no working buttons except start and only worked once. Cleaning was trying to come in around 9am but out checkout was at 11pm

• Nicholas (8/5): - How close to the beach No rooms have a beach view. And the restroom was very small. You can't open the door all the way. Outdated ac/heat unit. Beds felt old and there were two different bed sheet sets on the beds.
• Marikka (8/5): It really wasn’t too bad. My husband and enjoyed ourselves. - Close to the dunes and the beach. I also like that I would be able to open a window and get fresh air into the room. I had to ask housekeeping to sweep our floors because the floors were nasty. The pillows are really hard. I suggest you bring your own pillows and very uncomfortable.

• Aristotle (2/5): Never coming back here! - It was close to the beach. The floor was dirty with ants. The bed frame was dusty/dirty. Microwave was not clean (didn't even bother to use). No shower gel . The room lock was not dependable. Breakfast was poor. Scrambled eggs were salty. Not enough food. Plates were not available that u have to open the cabinets to look for it. The trash bins were full.
• dalit (3/5): Such a beautiful place and great potential, but poor maintenance and room management. - Great location, spacious room, friendly staff Our room had no soap or a blanket, we were very cold at night. It has large patches of stickiness on the floor, we were told these were left over from a recent renovation and can’t be cleaned. Electrical sockets were broken, the trash cans outside our window super full. The hosts never responded to us on the Booking platform.

• Robert (1/5): Goodluck if you stay here!! - The location I showed up after driving 4 hours and it was 10:30pm at night. There was no one in the lobby to check in with. My son was in the car waiting and was tired and we needed to get to sleep. I waited 38 mins before someone arrived to check us in. She was rude and said she just went on a smoke break. I told her i was waiting for over 30 mins and she said “whatever”. While i was waiting there was a woman dressed like a hooker approaching cars. Then all of a sudden several cop cars drove up and surrounded her and the car she was getting into. This all happened while my teenage son was watching. We finally got our room keys and the room was freezing. The heat was not working. Went to take a shower and there was no hot water. There were only 3 channels on the T.V. I usually dont leave reviews, but this place is horrible. Beware this place is a dump!! Also there was no parking. Had to park on the street outside the hotel and hope it was still there in the morning.

Room was not clean, going bathroom is like going in tunnel, one time hotel front desk told me change my room sensor battery by myself.

• Elsa (5/5): Comfortable but challenging. Especially when one can’t sleep and no TV for entertainment. - Location No closet One trash can in the whole room. At least have one in the main room. No soap TV off at exactly 12:00am. Had to wait half hour. Turned on again, but could not switch channels. Handles for sink and shower NOT working properly. Not good for handicap people, hard to adjust water temp.

• pfeiffer (8/5): - I ask for a room that didn't have any stairs to get to it. The 1st time we parked there was a full flight of stairs. As we are in our 70s and 80s stairs are not our friends. I did find a parking spot later that day that had no stairs. Other than that it was a nice stay

• Y Anny (4/5): - Great location. We appreciate having a fridge and microwave in the room, and plenty of electronic outlets to charge our electronics. The shower-bathtub was clogged and not draining. The hair dryer was broken. Towels had stains. Bathroom had a bad smell. Bathroom walls and ceilings had signs that someone did a sloppy repair to patch up something.

• gerallynd2021 (2/5): Former Best Western fan will never book Best Western again - The room we were assigned -236-- made me feel like I was in a prison cell. Lighting was awful, bedspread and furniture were absolutely depressing. I immediately asked for another room but was told none was available. I requested a refund, as this BW room was far worse than shown on their website, and was declined. I then booked a different hotel, and called BW to tell them I was not staying in the hotel. I did pay in advance for the room, but I told BW that I believe they misrepresented, on their website, the quality of the room. I pointed out that I have used Best Western many times over the years and this hotel does not meet their usual standards. Several phone calls later over two months, they still refused to refund me the cost I paid for two nights. They claimed they offered an upgrade and I declined it, which is absolutely a lie. Do not book this hotel, it is depressing and the management there is completely unresponsive to complaints.

• yuriandj (10/5): Great location for a getaway - We really enjoyed our day. The location was perfect. The weather was awesome. Also, the rooms were really in good shape. The Netflix and YouTube was add on. We really love watching them and enjoying the comfy bed. We love the free breakfast that was offered. The staff was really good. The service that is provided every day of housekeepers were awesome. We never had to ask for anything everything was provided on time.

• AMCalifornia805 (2/5): Place is a dump! The Management is a joke! Beware! - Im not sure where to begin other than to say DO NOT stay here! The place is a dump! Dirty, gross, and the key fobs never work! You’ll end up at the front desk dealing with the worst customer service girl named Bianca. Good luck if you escalate issue with the GM. He is just as worthless! The hotel doors don't shut or lock properly. (Huge safety issue). Maintenance doesnt fix your issues and they leave a mess and forget to pick up their tools! Again, you WILL get locked out of your room because the battery in the door for the key fob is broken. They will tell you they can fix it in an hour or two…. And then you end up having to switch rooms! This place is a mess.

• Lindsey (2/5): Lots of drinking and partying in the parking lot. - Good location less than 5 min from the event we attended. The price was comparable to Holiday Inn. The hotel is now dated in comparison to the photos on the site. The breakfast was less than acceptable in comparison to a holiday inn or Marriott. The other guests from the adjoining door (unaware of at time of booking) were loud. Will not be back there are better options at comparable prices without suffering the breakfast and stay and other issues.
• Angela (2/5): Do NOT stay here! - This was THE worst hotel stay we’ve ever had. We were locked out of our room for hours. They gave us 5 different keys. Finally they came after not believing us that the keys wouldn't work. Turns out the battery for the key fobs on the door was dead. They said they'd re key it and it would take a few hours (a few hours turned into half a day) so we had no access to our room. Well, then the next day the air conditioner doesnt work. They finally switched us rooms. The hair dryer doesnt work and the shower is clogged. The manager wasnt in at 8:30 in the morning even though we were told he comes in at 7. When we asked for a refund he said he would give us a discount next time we came to town. This is unacceptable!
• James (10/5): - The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. Continental breakfast was very good - comparable to a Hamptons Inn. Location was ideal for walking to the see the sunset at the beach. Would definitely consider coming back.

• Lydia (5/5): If you want a cheap place to stay that is a notch up from motel 6. - I like that it’s close to the Beach. The property isn’t bad there are some things that turned me off. The bathroom could use some updating for example the shower head/latch that turns the shower head wasn’t working properly and then one of the sheets on our bed had a blood stain on it. Which makes me wonder if it was washed at all? Staff should throughly check and inspect sheets. Blood is a biohazard.

• Tammie (2/5): - Batteries for the key card reader on our door had to be replaced at check in with us standing outside for 20 minutes waiting. Then the key cards had to be reprogrammed multiple times even though I kept them separated from anything that could deactivate them. Door had such a large gap between it and the frame that light from outside shown through. It was large enough of a gap for bugs to easily get into the room. Our shower was not very clean and towel was either stained or they folded up a dirty towel to be used again. Won’t stay again.

• Susan (4/5): - We stayed in four different Best Westerns in Central California during this trip. This Best West Western did not meet our expectations. It was loud, not clean, and the staff was not as accommodating as the other BW hotels. Due to seeing all that we wanted to see in Monterey and Carmel, we decided to checkout after our first night. We reserved and paid in advance for two rooms, however, the Manager would not work with us on a refund for the second night even though we checked out at 8:00 a.m. which was before the actual checkout time a day before we had planned to checkout.

• Katherine (8/5): - The pros: The beds were super comfortable, and the amenities is very good. Lots of outlets for me to plug-in and charge my phone. TV looked brand new and worked great. There was a microwave and a fridge as well.Parking was also terrific. The staff was very friendly, which was a huge Plus. The cons: the floor in our room was actually pretty dirty and into the bathroom as well. Overall, I’d stay there again. Another plus was they are right by the beach.
• Chalotta (10/5): - We've stayed here multiple times, and it is always a pleasant experience. The staff is so helpful and friendly, the facility itself is always very clean, the complimentary breakfasts are amazing, and the rooms are always so clean and fresh with an included AC unit. Best Westerns are always our first choice and they are usually a very affordable option as well. Also, this one is very close to the beach, only a short walk away!
• Nancy travels (7/5): It was good, but Marina lacks charm like places such as Moss Landing or Pacific Grove. Motel was Oka - There was a wide variety and the menu changed daily. There were waffle irons and scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage and of course fruit, cereal etc. at breakfast. The bed was comfortable and it was generally quiet despite being near Highway 1. The beach is also very close to the property. My room's sink drain did not drain well at all. I reported it and nothing happened. There were obvious, unattractive dry wall repairs on the ceiling as if there had been a leak.
• Bill Mullis (2/5): The lack of a elevator really impacted our visit at this hotel - very difficult to get to our room. - Didn't eat breakfast We are an elderly couple with mobility issues. There was no elevator and we had to struggle up 2 very long staircases, pulling our suitcases one step at a time. If I knew this I would have NEVER had booked this room ( this was the only hotel that did not have an elevator and luggage cart).

• Helena (9/5): Hezká zastávka - Blízko k pláži, nedaleko obchod. Pokoj prostorný, spali jsme jednu noc Snídaně výběr vajíčka, slanina, vafle, jogurt… malý bufet. Menší koupelna ale ok. Trochu bloudíte než najdete pokoj :).
