Guest Reviews
- Robbin (6/5): - It's a old hotels that is horrible remodel that the 1th thing. Check in was easy , my mistake was not going straight to the room ! When we did get back to room that's when we seen conditioner of room by then its around 11.00 p.a to late look for another place!! The room was not cleaned tub toilet Good thing we carry Lysol Wips floors has paint stain .the air doesn't stay cool let just we did not sleep completely bed is hard top cover stained..to much to write 😠 im happy is was for one night
- Luis (10/5): - Amazing
- Lisa (6/5): - So, there is no breakfast as stated. The guy at the front told me the breakfast is juice. Outside is concerning.
But, the staff was nice and the room is remodeled and pretty.
- Joseph (10/5): - Great service ☺️
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Romm was dank and musty smelling. No breakfast
- Chantell (8/5): - Its was quite friendly place
- Tonia (6/5): - The room smelled like cigarette as if someone was in the room with me smoking, the air filter was dirty I cleaned because of the cigarette smell, that did not work ,I just could not believe how the room was and the I use to stay there all the time
- Crystal (6/5): Not the best, not the worst... - This was a very basic hotel, only 2 towels in the room and a sheet thin "comforter". The advertised breakfast was only coffee and juice, no food at all. The housekeeping only took out trash and remade the bed with the same sheets, so the floors became very dirty after 6 days. It was an uncomfortable, cheap, place to stay.
- Kevin (6/5): An ok place - Our room was refurbished, couldn’t close the bathroom door.
- Byron (2/5): - I don't know where to begin. First of all I was told my room was 215. Upon arriving to my room it wouldn't open the door. The card read 213 so I assumed she made a mistake. I go to room 213 and open the door and end up greeted by a man in his boxer shorts. I go back down and get the proper key to room 215. There are no chairs in the room. Not a sitting chair. Not a desk chair. Two beds and that's it. I try to latch the deadbolt and it won't latch. Closer inspection revealed that the door had been kicked in and shoddily repaired. The towels were stained. There were cigarette burns on the tub. Light switches were missing cover plates. The AC was broken and could not be adjusted up. This place was an absolute cesspool.
- LaVater (4/5): - I requested a handicap room. There wasn’t any handicap rooms available we were told. My husband is partially paralyzed and I am recovering from knee surgery. We could not shower and there was no seating in the room for us to sit down. I had to use the walker to get in the bed. The worst stay I’ve ever had. The only reason we stayed was because of the hurricane.
- Bryce (2/5): - Had a room booked and when we arrived we were told it was overbooked and turned away.
- Journey22397958359 (10/5): Relaxing stay - The room was very good for the price. Staff was extremely helpful. For mr, the location is ideal. Lots of food joints in walking distance.
- Marietta (4/5): - Dirty!!!!!! No coffee provided in the room. Coffee in the lobby are awful as well as the apple & orange juice, pretty much water.
- IHUOMA (6/5): - The entrance to property is not safe to navigate due to on coming traffic as one left turns into property off the highway.
The room was dusty. The headboard had cake of dust on it same as standing furnitures.
The cigeratte smoke was coming into the room since the ash and but disposal was on the door ledge.
Breakfast advertised was not served only coffee.
- dpanto816154 (2/5): Old Property - Needs renovation as it seems it is a franchise motel with barely any attention to the property.
I don't recommend
- Paget (8/5): - We were at the concert at Lamar Dixion and location was easy to get in and out of.
- Verified traveler (10/5): flyin high - The beds were quite high. I was traveling with my handicap brother and it was a bit of a trick to get him from his wheelchair into the bed
- Juanita L. (6/5): - The bathrooms walls need to be cleaned better and tub.
- JoAnne (4/5): - The room wasn't very clean and the bathroom door was cracked and breaking...
- DELVIN (10/5): - Everything
- Cheryl (4/5): - No soap to wash your hands. Hand towels were dingy dirty looking. Loud car outside especiallly at 6am. No breakfast like we were told or that was advertised. Bugs in bath tub.
- Rickey (4/5): - It had no water pressure and warm water
- enriquefjr2024 (2/5): Worst Hotel I had ever stayed in and I will not make the same mistake ever again - Worst hotel you could stay in!! Never again. I waited two weeks to see if they would come and clean the filthiest room, floor, toilet, ice machine and shower. Mold and mildew everywhere with stains all over the wll.
- Alondra (8/5): - .
- John (4/5): - There was nothing unique about the property. WE lost power in the early evening, no fault of the property, and sought another hotel. They tried to return or reservation, but when we arrived home we found ourselves double charged..
- Ryan (8/5): Good Hotel but Don’t Expect Breakfast - Overall good service and room. However, they didn’t have breakfast as advertised so recommend removing the misleading, untrue highlight because it was one of our reasons for selecting the hotel.
- Dorothy (4/5): - Would not allow my service animal with me even when I show license
- Denise (4/5): - room smelled strongly of smoke.
- Rickey (8/5): - The property was fine but I had warm water and stood in cold water to take a shower
- Joyce (4/5): Frozen - The heater did not work in my room I froze all night. Hotel advertised free breakfast no breakfast nor coffee in morning but the clerk did give me a breakfast coupon for McDonald’s across the street which meant I had to
Leave for coffee and come back. The door in bathroom had stuff all over it. Won’t stay agai
- Sabrina (4/5): - Clean and nice people
- Steven (2/5): - This property I spent 160 bucks on, because it was the only room available closest to Baton Rouge that wasn’t sold out. The room was “non smoking”, but as soon as you walked in the cigarette smell burned our nostrils. The humidity in the room made the sheets feel moist. Thank God we brought our own sheets and pillows. We turned the water on at the sink and the water came out brown and then black, it did eventually clear up. The hair dryer hanging had so much dust built up on the vent. The shower head was corroded and looked disgusting. We had no shampoo or soap, only two “facial bars”. It was just a dingy experience and not worth the money. You will be better off camping in your car or on the ground in a tent or just on the ground in general
- Wendy (10/5): - It was nice and i will stay again
- Jeanne (4/5): - The room left a lot to be desired. The bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned in a while. There were stains on the bathtub and the bathroom door was cracked like it had been kicked in at some point.
- Samantha (6/5): Keep looking for another hotel - If you just need a bed it will do. There were bugs on the floor of the bathroom. Our AC barely worked and friendly is not what I would call the staff.
- Denise (2/5): No Sleep - The air conditioner/heater was broken, the phone would not call the front office, the bathroom door was dirty, and there was no blanket in the bed just two thin sheets in a room that was too cold to sleep comfortably. There was no way of turning the a/c off or turning the heat on.
- Joseph (8/5): Looking for comfort, go somewhere else. - A lot of room for family, but beds are not comfortable and need more pillows. Can get better value for the money somewhere else. Will not stay again.
- Melanie (4/5): Linens need Better cleaning - Room smelled terrible and towels and sheets needed to be bleached and cleaned better.
- Trey (8/5): Honest opinion. - It was okay for the price
- DeSean (2/5): - The entire property is run down and is disgusting. The room was dirty and smelled like cigarettes or cigar smoke. The bathtub was not only dirty but had blood stains on the edge of the tub. I immediately checked iut and demand a refund!!!
- Fanny (10/5): - It was a great stay for the price,
the pool was a sad and closed, but with the rainfall it was expected to be closed.
- Jessica (2/5): Do not stay here. Dangerous - This was one of the worst stays I have "tried"to endure. The lady at the front desk, I believe Ms. Sherry was nice. I checked in , and all of the sudden cracked out men, a young man cjasing a young girl around with a blunt in his mouth, people started coming out their rooms to see who just checked in. It was scary. We immediately checked right out and requested my money back. Hotels.com could not refund my money becausw I paid the room directly. I am in the process of disputing the charge due to we left within 15 minutrs, because of dangeous drug activity..
- Korene (8/5): Affordable place to stay - The motel has recently been taken over by new owners. The front desk staff was wonderful very helpful. I had an issue at first but they completely went over and beyond to satisfy me.
- Climber22920627693 (2/5): The trash pit - I've never stayed at a Days Inn like this one. I dont believe the room was swept or vacuumed in 10 days. There is trash EVERYWHERE! Went to the front desk for a couple days for toilet paper, there was none.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Will never go there ever again, shower were stopped up
- abdallawilliams (4/5): The customer service was horrible. The phone did not work... - The customer service was horrible. The phone did not work. The towels were horrible. I could not get a late check out. The remote to the tv did not work .
- dannyuriegas (4/5): Not very clean, poor mgmt, broken ac - Ac was broke , reported never fixed, desk clerk did move us to another room, but that room stunk the mildew and old smoke. Hair all over bathroom floors and laboratory in rooms. Stained sheets and towels, cigarette burns on carpet and all over tub sides. Parking lot was gross with trash and mud, pool was gross not cleaned or maintained (80 degrees) the days we stayed there. Clerk said mgr would call me but never did. I have stayed here before and no problems this time lord have mercy it was a train wreck. Sorry I won’t be back and I will tell everyone I know not to stay here. Clerks were nice though but again there hands are tied
- peteraV6121JY (2/5): Nasty room - They only had a smoking room left. Not only was the room filthy it stunk. It was so bad that I left the room after about 2 hours and found a different Hotel down the street.
- claudiaa90 (6/5): Average stay - The room had obviously been a smoking room in the past so there was an odor still lingering. Carpeting needs replacing. Pool needed cleaning. For my short stay, two nights, and being out of the room most of the time it was fine, but I wouldn't want to stay more than that. Breakfast minimal selection.
- U1599SQjeremym (10/5): The service was good but the room door would not shut... - The service was good but the room door would not shut completely and also smelt the mold inside of it. We could not switch rooms due to no other rooms available.
- josephnP365FW (8/5): GonzalesDays Inn - Very Clean and friendly motel. Easy access to I-10. Had an Archery certification class in Baton Rouge and clerk gave me excellent directions to avoid traffic. Close to restaurants and stores. I would recommend this Days Inn and will definitely stay here again.
- WILMAH1 (2/5): Overnight stay - First room smelled so I requested another room and that a/c wouldn't cool so I requested another room(#3) which I did have a nice sleep. I didn't realize it at the time but when I got up at 5AM I realized the room hadn't been cleaned as the prior guests had left room keys and 1/2 of a 12 pack of Bud Light Beer. It was the worse Days Inn I have ever stayed in.
- jamesmC8864DL (6/5): Didn't get any rest for the first few days we were there... - Didn't get any rest for the first few days we were there due to the fire Alarm going off in the middle of the night. Fire alarm keep going off every hour but overall the rooms were very nice and clean. Wouldn't mind staying there again. Thanks.
- Arthur (2/5): Uncomfortable - The room had a terrible odor. There were no towels in the room. Not once in 3 days did anyone clean room , empty , trash, make bed , etc. Had to buy cleaning supplies and air freshener from store to clean room. Only stayed because all other hotel rooms were booked .
- torrieh681 (10/5): Great service everyday - This property is located right off of exit 177 and near the world renowned restaurant Mike Anderson's down the street going towards the Walgreens on the right. I didn't see any BUGS and both my stays that was for two nights each was in clean rooms. Sherry the receptionist is great and accommodated my wants well. I got towels everyday and the beds were made. The WI-FI isn't good on the second floor but great on the first floor, I had a second but was moved downstairs. I would stay here again on my next visit. But if you do not want to pay as much Baton Rouge is just 20 to 25 mins away. CHOW!!!!!
- MrsSmitheaux (4/5): Non Smoking or Smoking Room - You decide - We reserved a Non-smoking, 2 king size beds, room. The room smelled old, musty and slightly of cigarette smoke. Originally, We thought it might have been from someone passing by the open door. But it was not from that. The bathtub had cigarette burns on it. Also, they had put dryer sheets in the vents of the A/C to try to make it smell better and not of cigarette smoke. This room was for 2 adults and 1 teenager. We had 2 small towels, 2 hand towels, and 4 washrags in our room. Just the size of the room and the size of the beds should have warranted more towels to start with. We just went down and got more towels, but the non-smoking room was a joke. My daughter and I both have allergies so it is very important to us. Also, it was VERY humid in the room. We are use to high humidity but inside a hotel room, it's almost unheard of. It made for a very uncomfortable night.
- 154tamekae (10/5): My stay was awesome. Overall everything was absolutely 👍🏽. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone for a vacation. - Recommend highly. This is a real good hotel. It was in the area in the city and wasn't hard to find. So yes 10 score.
- benaiae (4/5): Overcharged - They charge a pre authorization 2-3 times
Save your trouble they are expensive for the area also. Takes 2-3 trips to more or less fix your requests. Not again, thank you.
You can smell the smoking everywhere inside of the rooms so you smoke there even if you are not a smoker.
Bad experience.
- 605denverc (10/5): Very clean and nice! - We stayed in the new building and it was beautiful and clean! The room smelled so nice and fresh. It was quiet and very comfortable!
- torrieh681 (10/5): Clean with good housekeeping - This hotel was clean and the housekeeping came all 3 days of my stay. I had towels and the beds were comfy. The wi-fi was great. It's located of the interstate and close to a lot of restaurants and Anytime Fitness. Mike Andersons is down the street attached to the Clarion hotel. I also give Mike Anderson 5 stars great food, bar, and service. I used my points for all 3 nights but I think it is a good value for your book compared to some other hotels around there. If you don't want to take a chance though Baton Rouge is just about 15 mins away.
- tralissac (2/5): Had roaches in both rooms 218 &219 had only 2 Sm & 2bath towels in both Breakfast no plates no milk terrible experienc - Hey roaches in the rooms218 &219 not enough towels and couldn't provide us with none . no plates no milk for breakfast The stay was terrible Pay $122 per rooms total $244 Could not get reimbursed or speak to a manager Will never stay at her other days inn 👎🏼👎🏼😫😫 The price I paid could of stayed at a holiday inn on something better
- petermA9668OT (6/5): New But Needs Work - Good location Way to high priced,. They have a new building in the back of the property, the rooms are being used but no personnel attending in there yet. Parking not very good for the new building. Room was new but the toilet was about to fall over it was so loose. I am going to guess that the old building will be torn down making for a good parking lot. Way too expensive for Days Inn. Have to pay for that new building I guess. Desk clerks not so friendly
- David (4/5): - For a room with four people, they only had two sets of towels. When asked for more, I was told they didn't have enough for the hotel.
- Jan (4/5): - New-looking building with what looked like old fixtures and carpets reused within. Stained bedspread, though sheets, pillows and blanket looked & smelled clean and fresh. Fire alarm was not hooked up. Shower curtain covered with mildew at the bottom. Slippery bathtub. Cigarette butts scattered all over the entrance way. Overflowing trash bins outside. Morning breakfast area was clean and the staff polite and helpful.
- pat (6/5): Average hotel - This is an old hotel with a new added seperate building in the back. I stayed in the new part. The lobby was empty and unused. If you wanted breakfast you had to go to the tiny area near the front desk.
- Ashley (8/5): Convenient and clean hotel - Very clean room. Will stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Huge room - I had some difficulties with one wifi router. Fortunately another one works fine
- Ximena (2/5): Dirty and gross - The room was grossly dirty.
I had to vacuum the room myself...
- Terry (8/5): Great Value - We had a very nice suite in the back building of this hotel. It was clean, quiet and seemed new. Great breakfast selection.
- Terry (8/5): Will stay again - We stopped in Gonzales for one night to visit family on our way through town. Had a lot of stuff in our vehicle so really wanted a room where we could park near our door. Motel was full, apparently with contractors and people who had lost their homes to recent flooding in the area. Nice large room, very comfortable. Only complaint was housekeeping. Don't know if housekeeper got sidetracked and just never finished our room or what. No wash clothes, coffee pot didn't work, smelly food in refrigerator, cleaning items left on counter. Will definitely give them another shot before scratching them off the list. We all have bad days at work.
- Amy (8/5): Nice place to stay - My stay was good. The room was clean, they just need to replace the carpet as it's worn some, but everything else was nice. It was fairly quiet for being right on a busy highway. It's close to many restaurants and shopping areas, and pool was good to swim in. I would definitely stay there again.
- Dale (2/5): nOT THAT CLEAN - Was not amazing ,sheets and pillow cases had a bad smell.BATHROOM WAS NOT THAT CLEAN
- Norma (8/5): Convenient to highway and restaurants - With the flooding situation in Baton Rouge we were forced to book farther out than normal, however, we were pleasantly surprised that although distance- wise it was farther to LSU stadium we were able to get get back and forth to hotel with no trouble.
- Jim (10/5): Awesome - Was a very nice hotel with great service
- Verified traveler (2/5): Will not stay again! - The room was not very clean (soap left in shower from previous occupant) The made-service was iffy and one day it was not cleaned at all and no towels or toilet paper. Never any food in hot bins at breakfast (and I go to breakfast early) Took fifteen to twenty minutes before restocked. Will not stay here ever again!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - TV did not work, clock did not work. No one bothered to resolve the situation.
