- Jose (7/5): Very comfortable will definitely choose this place if I need another stay in the area - Very clean and a great location The parking was crowded
- broussard (7/5): Great stay rooms are clean and a very nice location. - I didn't eat any breakfast but it looked at tremendously good. I wasn't able to adjust the flow of water from the shower head it was very strong but nice. I have no comment because I didn't eat breakfast.
- paul (10/5): -
- A (4/5): - Decent breakfast, location, parking, nice staff Room 114, please check the headboard of the bed. There are several spots with something white and sticky on it, which felt very dirty, and it ruined even the positive aspects of the hotel. Also, the entry door is not well soundproofed.
- Serros (7/5): -
- Mickyas (9/5): -
- Akiko (6/5): -
- John (8/5): -
- Alan (7/5): - Location for our stay was convenient. Poor lighting in the room, a $30 early check-in fee not identified in the booking information or identified at check-in with the counter employee.
- Walter (8/5): -
- thompson (5/5): -
- Prisma (6/5): Everytging was great until they charged for a dirty towel they didnt give me and prob washed and reused! - Breakfast They charged for a dirty towel
- roberta (10/5): - Convenient clean location
- Michael (9/5): quiet and unenventful - Coffee was great quiet used the treadmill would come back for sure
- Donald (8/5): -
- Mitch (10/5): Very conscientious staff front door to rooms. - Continental breakfast varieties always replenished and wonderful service. Ice machine and vending machine ONLY took ones….
- Sandy (8/5): Curtains did not work, but staff was very response and tried to fix the problem. The unit was clean -
- Susan (8/5): - The front desk person was very pleasant and efficient.
- Blythe (5/5): Convenient, lower cost, good breakfast, poor upkeep. - The breakfast was fantastic! Especially the coffee machine and omelets! It was very convenient. The lobby wax beautiful. The pool was centrally located. There were no towels in the room upon check in. We told the woman at the desk and the staff brought two body towels. No hand towels or washcloths. We had to go back to the desk and ask for more towels. The pool chairs were falling apart. The door had gaps on the bottom and side where light could be seen through. There were a couple of people staying there who were unsafe, bizarre behavior, smoking outside the doors cigarettes and pot, pants falling down.
- Oakes (9/5): Excellent -
- Cassidy (8/5): Had a good stay - I liked the breakfast Nothing
- roberta (10/5): -
- tony (10/5): - Clean room great breakfast couldn,t get shower only room in our 80s would have preferred shower only but everything else was great
- Sreejesh (10/5): -
- Samantha (8/5): -
- Jan (7/5): - For safety, consider putting 'treads' on the bathtub floor, to prevent slipping.
It would have been helpful to have a hook on the wall in the bathroom, for clothes.
- Ronald (8/5): -
- Elaine (7/5): - Location Room was good, but there were no extra blankets in the room. The bed was made so that the blankets didn't come all the way to the top of the bed and I was cold. When I went to look for an extra blanket in the closet, there was none.
- Marino (9/5): Muy bien - La atención
- Desaray (8/5): - Clean rooms, nice staff Value for price
- isa (9/5): - Chambre confortable et parfaite pour une étape. Bon petit-déjeuner avec bacon, œufs et gaufres. Chauffage un peu bruyant.
- Caroline (9/5): - Convenient location, pet friendly, good for a night while traveling. It was a good clean hotel, a little dated furniture.
- Andy (10/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): - The staff, amenities and overall stay was great. Loved that within walking distance there are fast food restaurants, gas stations. I only took 1 point off for location because a grocery store nearby would have made it perfect.
- Donna (6/5): - Location and staff There is no parking
- Jetta (10/5): Church event with the girls! - Location Nothing, it was absolutely perfect!
- George (5/5): Staff, nice, room clean, but noisy because of mechanicals - Room was clean, and comfortable The toilet, HVAC, and mini-fridge were going on & off with noises motor running, then off, then running, toilet tank running and stopping and running and stopping over and over and over again
- Andres Felipe (8/5): -
- Khanh (6/5): - The hotel was ok. The room was a good size. What we did not like was lack of housekeeping. Only every other day would they resupply towels and soaps. The breakfast was very nice- eggs potatoes sausage waffles cereal and breads. Clean outside with a pool and hot tub. It was located near north and south 17 ramps which made it nice. About 20 minutes to the town of Santa Cruz. Nothing to do so Next time we would stay within Santa Cruz. The staff was nice though.
- sharon (6/5): - Clean but too far from Santa Cruz. 20 minutes to the town . Near the north and south 17 entrances. Nothing around hotel. Housekeeping not done daily. Room was spacious and clean. Tv only regular channels. Breakfasts were nice. Plenty of choices for family. Coffee machine very nice with choices of coffees. Staff was friendly. Price was reasonable but next time I’d stay within Santa Cruz for a little extra.
- Kristen (6/5): - Pros- The coffee machine and breakfast were really nice. Our sheets were clean and smelled good.
Cons- The carpet in the room was very disgusting. I did not feel comfortable walking on it without shoes which made it difficult with two small children who like to play on the floor. The sink and bathtub had drainage issues. We did not feel comfortable at all in the rooms.
- Casey (6/5): Will not stay there again. - The lobby was in good condition and the room was in ok condition. The beds were very hard, the bath fan was horribly noisy. The room smelled like marijuana when we first entered. For over $200 a night, I expected more. I would not stay here again.
- Rita (10/5): - Clean, courteous, easy parking
- Carol (8/5): -
- Gary (10/5): - It met our needs.
- Kimm (8/5): - It was fine. Coffee maker was a bit odd, would be easier to have pots vs individual coffee maker.
- Gregory (8/5): - The breakfast was really tasty and well-stocked.
There were a couple of kids unattended in the swimming pool, and there was a lady just sitting in her car for hours, with the door open and her feet on the ground. What was up with that?
- Kelly (7/5): -
- Lorraine (6/5): They called me a liar - The air-conditioning thermostat did not work well so we were either freezing or hot all night. There was an underlying smell of smoke that got stronger as the night went on. What I texted to the customer service in the morning: Someone has definitely been smoking in this room. Allergies kept me awake for most of the night. They replied: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're sorry to hear that you've experienced discomfort during your stay. I understand how allergies can be difficult, especially when traveling. Our team is committed to ensuring a pleasant environment for all of our guests, and we take concerns about smoking very seriously. When you checked in yesterday afternoon, the room was thoroughly inspected, and no signs of smoke or any unusual order were detected. Additionally, our supervisor did not report any concerns about the room from the previous guest, which suggests there was no apparent smoke at that time. If there had been a noticeable smell, we would have expected it to be brought to our attention right away. We're always happy to assist guests with room changes or address any issues as soon as they arise. In order to smell smoke that has settled into the carpet, someone has to spend more time than just a quick inspection and cleaning products will mask the smell for housekeeping. The smell got stronger as the night went on. All our friends who live near the Scotts Valley location said they would never stay here, we should have listened.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - 3 day stay, housekeeping only on second day after I asked. Cursory at best, just fresh towels, no other cleaning.
Will not return.
- Lucina (10/5): - Excellent
- Maria Del Carmen (8/5): comfortable for the necesary like sleep at nights and do our things during the day - basic and good bread
- Jeannie Marie (8/5): -
- Gregory (10/5): - Was well maintained and clean in a relatively quiet area. Nice pool and jacuzzi
- Amber (10/5): - It was right off the freeway
- Arti (10/5): - Very nice place
- Brianna (2/5): - The bed was so bad it made my back hurt and when I went to use the hot tub to help with my back, it was like warm. Continental breakfast experience was poor, not stocked and couldn’t find utensils. Customer service needs improvement. I was told the manager is rarely on property. When I finally spoke with her, she was dismissive and condescending. I will NEVER come back to this property. I’ll be posting negative reviews and letting everyone know about my horrible experience. This was a family emergency and all I needed was a comfortable place to lay my head with working amenities. I paid over $600 for 2 nights and ended up with a few hours of sleep each night, back pain, overall worst experience traveling and I don’t think that’s acceptable.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Great bed!
- tomtenor (7/5): Was adequate, good but not great. - Breakfast was adequate. Location good, Very quiet. Staff very helpfull,,friendly, and professional Beds comfortable Nice to have laundry facilities. Had trouble with WiFi. Would have preferred double sinks. No view. parking in front was tight with a lot of local big white trucks staying there. Breakfast eggs very dry.
- Patricia (10/5): - The location was great. It was close to the beach and forest. It was quiet.
- Tera (10/5): - This was a great stay for us. Very comfortable and we felt safe. Perfect if you’re traveling with a dog!
- Joseph (10/5): - All good
Thanks
- John (8/5): -
- LUNGALA (10/5): - VERY NICE HOTEL! VERY KIND AND PROFESSIONAL FRONT DESK STAFF, ESPECIALLY ADRIAN.
- LUNGALA (10/5): SHORT BUSINESS TRIP TO SCOTTS VALLEY - ADRIAN AT THE FRONT DESK WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! WARM WELCOME, AND MADE SURE I WAS COMFORTABLE IN MY ROOM.
HE IS THE MODEL EMPLOYEE THAT A HOTEL NEEDS, ESPECIALLY DURING A BUSY TIME WHEN MULTITASKING IS NECESSARY!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
VERY NICE BEST WESTERN HOTEL. I WILL BE BACK!
- Rachael (8/5): - Beautiful area, room was fine. It gave what it needed to give 🌲🌊 love Scott’s Valley and Santa Cruz.
- Natallia (6/5): - Very nice lobby, staff was polite and accommodating. Beds are comfortable, the room was clean. Breakfast was good with waffles, eggs, bacon potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt available. The only thing I absolutely was turned off by was dirt hot tub. There was a thick film of dirt and scum on the tiles and water was mirky.
- Gabriel (8/5): - Great customer service
- Terry (7/5): We enjoyed the breakfast and like the changes to the facilities. - Newer than the last time we stayed there (several years ago). 1) Housekeeping didn’t empty our garbage or provide clean towels for the second night.
2) The parking is VERY congested and difficult to maneuver. Larger vehicles should park in the lot by the fitness center and in the street.
- Arminas (10/5): - It was wonderful, besides a car accident that happened in the parking lot.
- Monica (6/5): - The room was ok. Nothing great. Outdated and the parking is tight. Staff was friendly
- Jag (7/5): Comfortable and adequate. - Conveniently located. Plenty of parking available. Nice to have a pool. Rooms are a little tired and the AC is noisy in the room. Ground floor rooms also had a lot of noise from the road and car park.
- Bruno (6/5): - room had a weird smell, maybe someone smoked in the room before our stay.
room was right next to laundry room, noises early morning of laundry carts going in and out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Need blankets - There weren't enough blankets! Yes, there was an AC/ Heater but with people's different sleeping temps, actual warm blankets (not just sheets) are needed... and I don't want to have to call down in the middle of the night for them. Blankets should just... be included.
- Jessica (8/5): - All the staff was great! Adrian was very helpful getting my two rooms together. Only complaint is their shower items are micro mini size. Bring your own is my recommendation.
- Angela (4/5): - That was very uncomfortable. Everything inside of the unit was outdated, and the carpet was all and Moody smell, even after changing rooms.
- Emperatriz (4/5): - Dirty carpet in the room smelly due to a broken mini refrigerator .
- Jeremy (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Clean, comfortable. Basic breakfast.
- Caroline (6/5): - Proximity to the pool. My room was very close.
- Eric (6/5): - Our stay was ok though we had a problem with the shower nozzle missing in the bathroom making it difficult to use with the water blasting out of the pipe in the wall. However, the staff had it repaired by the second day of our stay. The complimentary breakfast choices were a bit limited and egg a cheese dish they had wasn’t very good.
- Norma (6/5): - For the price expected a more updated hotel but otherwise adequate accommodations for the hotel chain.
- Jeneva (8/5): - The room was clean and spacious. The bed was hard. There are no hooks close to the shower to hold your towel. The breakfast was good, but the coffee machine was horrible. Coffee tasted like instant coffee. The room had a Keurig and coffee pods provided were excellent
- Derynn (10/5): - Good
- Richard (6/5): - Bed was comfortable, but the toilet would run evey 40 minutes.
- Robertson (6/5): Would have been great if not for the couple arguing loudly outside - Very clean and comfortable Two nights in a row some people were outside arguing very loudly after sleeping hours.
- Elisabet (10/5): - This is our second time staying at this property. Rooms are clean and well equipped with microwaves and mini-fridges. Breakfast goes all out with savory and sweet options. This property is in a quiet area but within driving distance to downtown Santa Cruz and all its attractions. Will be back soon!
- Dan (4/5): - The staff was very nice and helpful, everything was clean, the breakfast was nice.
However, the room was missing/had broken items on arrival (remote control for tv, hair dryer, hand soap) and the walls and floor are paper thin apparently. We received a complaint from a neighbor about noise after walking quietly from the bed to the desk area- I didn’t like that a neighbor could call our room directly.
Overall we would have been very happy if the room was 1/2 the price, but as priced was disappointing.
- BEV (4/5): - Wi-Fi is a huge factor in choosing where I stay and the Wi-Fi was not working during my 6 night stay. Parking was also limited so I had to park on the streets one night and squeeze into the last space another night.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were courteous and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Location was perfect for getting to both Santa Cruz area and Silicon Valley.
- Christy (10/5): Can’t complain. - Took the grandchildren 13,7,2 for a stay while we did mystery spot, roaring camp, small hikes, etc. Pool was clean and comfortable. Came back after a long day hiking and beach and asked the front desk for extra shampoo and conditioner. They brought to our room. Only thing that was a bit bothersome was we had a running toilet in our room, otherwise clean , comfy and did the job. Breakfast was reasonable for free.
- Linda (8/5): Nice, clean, would stay again. - Clean, great breakfast, nice room. The bed was a little firm for me. I would like to have a memory foam topper.
- A1132ICsamt (10/5): Our third top rated visit to BW Scott’s Valley motel - We have visited our g-son at UCSC three times & each time we have stayed in BW Scott’s Valley. Everything is a delight. The motel, the staff, the quiet location, and the excellent breakfast with a latte/espresso/cappuccino machine was tops. We will return.
- Valeria (2/5): - There was a lot of homeless stay here and the rooms smelled so bad . I will not stay again .
- Cathy (10/5): - Nice quiet location. Close to boardwalk and downtown. Friendly staff.
- Chris (8/5): - Always like staying at this best western plus rooms are clean beds are comfortable and the pool and hot tube are a nice perk, not to mention the continental breakfast Is not to bad either.
- Christopher (4/5): - We did not enjoy our stay WAY OVER priced for having no extra towels , blankets , pillows, body wash etc when asked they tell you they have no extras. Also 2 of the outlets did not work and the little refrigerator was hardly cold and we had to throw our milk and food out . Also there were ALOT of ants on the floor and crawling up the wall. REALLY disappointed because we paid almost 330 for 1 night stay . If i could give it no stars i would .
- Susann Kristin (10/5): - Great Stay
- Gabriela (8/5): Very good -
