Ashaki (2/5): - I was given a room under a loud nosy group of people, screaming, banging on the wall, we came here to get some rest after driving from South Carolina & yeah no rest tonight so we’ll be on the road sleepy tomorrow, they advertised breakfast, but say they only have muffins, wasted money & not to mention my son disabled
Kate (8/5): - The drains were slow in the sink and tub. The air conditioning units don't really pull the humidity out of the air, so everything (our clothes, towels, etc) felt damp all the time. The hotel advertised on Expedia that they offered free continental breakfast but it was just muffins bought from a store and coffee from a machine vs fresh brewed. So that was disappointing. But the staff was wonderful and overall the place was quiet and clean.
Jose (10/5): Updated rooms - Recently renovated rooms that are spotless and modern. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. A fantastic choice if you’re looking for a clean and updated hotel experience.
Lisa (10/5): - The hotel had recently been renovated, and our room was sparkling clean! My one complaint: no coffeemaker in the room. Alas. But the bed was comfy, the AC worked wonderfully, and it was very close to the places we needed to go. We didn't avail ourselves of the free breakfast, as it appeared to be mostly carb options (cereal, pastries, waffles), and we like a little protein first thing in the morning. But the breakfast area was clean and tidy when we peeked in. The staff was courteous, and checking in and out was an easy process. Traffic on Garrett Road can be a little hairy if you're coming from the east and traveling west on I-20. Do not take the exit Google Maps suggests. Go down to the next exit, turn around, and come back. Better yet, look at the map ahead of time and take the back roads. It'll save you some stress! Overall, we were quite pleased, and would stay here again.
dustin (6/5): It was okay. - The room was decently clean, but the staff presence was nearly nonexistent. The breakfast was limited to only a hostess pastry and black coffee. The pool was not open for use and the staff claimed "new management" would make improvements soon.

The breakfast area toilet was out of order as was the waffle maker. The pool had no water in it. If you want amenities, stay somewhere else.

Verified traveler (4/5): New ownership/Mgmt - Hotel is unser new management and tgeybare slowly reying to do renovations sp rooms are very bare or still beingbworked on and are dirty from years of use. Nice one is they removed the carpet and they have tile flooring. Pool is under construction soon so it is closed. Staff was nice and accommodating they just have some kinks they are working through so I am sure itll get better okve renovations are completed.

Scarred up furniture in lobby area and the furniture in our room was broken and coming apart. 3. Not acknowledged when I walked in or spoken to. 4.Crowed Lobby Experience with Rude Co-Customers who felt privileged to crowd us as we were handling our business with the front desk.

The room was good. The bathroom water was the hottest water I ever felt in my life. People was partying out in the parking lot til 3 am so every time I fell asleep I was woke up.

The sheets had stains and the tub had hair. Be careful when you book a room they are misleading and the ones that say they have Jacuzzi tubs. When we called the front desk for help we were told “that’s not my department.” We walked across the parking lot and got a room at the Hampton In and that’s where we stayed instead of this place.

If you are looking for the Marriot experience, I recommend you book at the Marriot. This is my favorite hotel when stopping in Monroe for the night.

Chad (2/5): Awful - There was not hot water. Door locks didn’t work. The front door is locked so you can’t get to the lobby after dark. You have to talk to the clerk through a window. The room smelled like I’ve been smoked in for years. I left with asthma. Continental breakfast was empty. if it hadn’t been after a long drive, we would’ve found something else and kept going.

So staff need to communicate better

But the area around the jacuzzi was badly lit; in fact the whole suite was shadowy no matter how many lights we turned on. The continental breakfast was sub-par. The scrambled eggs were dry and there was no butter for toast. Half your blue outside lights flickered. And please, put in some USB ports. It's the 21st Century.
Nancy (6/5): - The appearance in general was nice. The lady that checked us in was great! The commode handle would hang, though, when flushed. The bed squeaked when you sat on it, which was annoying to sleep on. Plus, the breakfast wasn't very good at all. Hardly anything to choose from.

Office said that it was the correct room but it was just a sofa area instead of a pull out bed !!! Oscar (8/5): October 29, 2022 - Everything was great except the floor needed to be mopped. The floor seems to be vacuumed, but the bottom of my feet was very dirty. So I suggest they mop the floor when they clean the room.

Verified traveler (4/5): WORST Hotel Experience - Unfortunately, our room was disgusting. There were stains all over the chair, there was dried rice and other food on the carpet, stains on the bathroom floor, and the handles of the drawers were sticky and looked like they had never been cleaned. Our fridge and air conditioning both leaked water all over the floor and the TV channel guide was totally wrong. We had to manually go through every channel and make our own guide. Multiple times throughout our stay, numerous housekeeping staff opened our door and tried to come into the room (WITHOUT KNOCKING) while we were still sleeping and even changing in the room. We never received the privacy door hanger and despite housekeeping continually opening our door and trying to enter the room, nothing was ever cleaned. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing and uncomfortable visit. Definitely do NOT recommend and will not be staying here again.

Jennifer (8/5): Excellent Customer Service - The staff was extremely helpful. I did not realize the hotel had smoking rooms and I didn't specify Non Smoking on hotels.com. The evening front desk was super helpful and understanding. She was able to find me another room for the first night. The morning front desk was also so very helpful and tried to find us something. Unfortunately the second night no Non Smoking rooms were available. She worked with Expedia for us to get a return on the room. Having friendly, helpful staff made the unfortunate situation not too bad. Both ladies handled my situation with professionalism. I appreciate how willing they were to fix what essentially was my error when making reservations.

I was given sheets and blanket. I was told there were no extra pillows. There should be a pillow for every bed including fold outs. The shower was in need of attention- rust, grout, etc. There were only 2 full size towels available.

Tonia (10/5): Best Western stay - The air was not working so after trying to get it to turn on. I called the front desk and she came to try it. She couldn’t get it to come on either. She told me to pack up and go to another room. I was so happy because she had already turned the air on. She also called the room phone to make sure that everything was okay with the new room. I thought that was very thoughtful and nice of her. She made my stay there better cause I can’t sleep without air. Also the manager was so nice when I came to ask for towels. He personally went to go get them and gave them to me. I felt comfortable away from home.

The woman at the front desk said to me,"I can accommodate that request. I was given a smoking room instead of no smoking. The ashes from smoking was everywhere. I sat in the desk chair because it was vinyl and could sanitize it. Go to the Hampton next door, you won't want to leave!
Shannel (10/5): Near the airport and comfortable! - The hotel manager was very friendly and accomodating. I had never been to the area before and he gave my husband and I great pointers on where to eat and go explore. The room itself was nice, clean, and comfortable. It is also very close to the airport (MLU) which was fantastic.

Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff was very kind during check in and when we had a need. The sweet staff was the only good thing about this entire stay. When we arrived both of the rooms we had were infested with mosquitos so we had to go on a mosquito killing spree. There were no towels, wash cloths, etc at all in the room so we had to go request those. The opening under the exterior door to the room was large enough for small vermin to get in so we had to block it with a towel to keep things out. There were spiders & spider webs in the corners. The property was old which doesn't bother us but bug infected & very unclean is unacceptable.
