- Poole (9/5): - Well-seasoned traditional French hotel slap-bang in the town centre of this fantastic historic city town. Slightly quirky with personality which is what I like. The restaurant within the hotel is a separate local business and is absolutely top-notch. Breakfasts were splendid. I can't think of anything.

- Ursula (10/5): Very pleasant, and nicely situated, and would stay there again. - The bedroom was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was huge in comparison with many French hotels! The hotel garage was difficult to get to, but the staff were very helpful. The hotel is in an older part of town and space is at a premium.

- Philippe (6/5): - Accueil sympathique Petit déjeuner, bien sans fioriture La déclaration d’une fuite d’eau usée à partir de la chambre au dessus. Fuite en goute à goutte qui tombe sur le front vers 3h30 de la nuit. Explications le lendemain matin avec la responsable de l’établissement. Dédommagement de la moitié du prix de la chambre. Les travaux seront lancés le lundi suivant. Chambre sommes goûter un peu vieillotte, besoin de rafraîchissement.

There is no bar or comfortable lounge area to relax in and the room was very small. Perfectly fine but nothing more than that. Very limited parking so make sure you book ahead if you need it.

- Catherine (5/5): Heureusement ça n'a duré qu'un nuit ! - L'amabilité des jeunes femmes à l'accueil. Et leur serviabilité : nous avons obtenu une lampe de chevet... qui éclaire ! Chambre très bruyante, sur un rond-point ( seconde expérience de ce type quand on réserve par Booking dans des Best Western). La salle de bains est équipée d'un sanibroyeur, et surtout le lavabo a des problèmes d'écoulement.

- Louise (7/5): Nice central hotel to visit this town - Nice and central to the town and Chateau, a comfortable room, with a good shower, a great selection for breakfast. Sadly the coffee tray was dusty, as were the cups, needed to wash them before using, would have preferred spoons rather than wooden stirrers. Unfortunately there was loud music in the newly opened restaurant next door, kept us awake, it suddenly went off at 2am, we told the reception at check out, they already knew, and had already called them.

- Michèle (8/5): Déplacement à Fougères - Emplacement pratique. Personnel très bien - sympathique, à l'écoute, se met en 4 pour rendre service. Chambre petite - correcte pour une personne, pour 2 ? - difficile de se déplacer - petite salle de bains - vue peu agréable Bruit des portes, couloir - insonorisation à revoir (entente des ronflements d'à côté - eau des WC et salle de bains d'à côté) Bien qu'il y ait un parking parce que tjs compliqué lorsque l'on a du matériel dans le coffre de laisser la voiture dehors (possible proche) mais le parking intérieur est peu pratique (il faut prévenir pour ouvrir la porte ... passage intérieur pas agréable et si la personne de l'accueil est occupée ... heureusement il n'y avait pas bcp de monde)

Has a beautiful facade and they have kept the charm of the inside but with modern touches. Great breakfast. Will return and recommend for a stay in Fougeres. You will not find better. N/A

Nice entrance and very helpful having a water filter with carafe and glasses that you could help yourself to. Great to have parking on site and worth paying for. Dismal communal areas. Our bedroom only had one bedside light and although another was supplied there wasn't a socket to plug it in! The bedroom (Superior Queen) felt like it had had a cheap makeover with click, clack flooring and bad plumbing. A Saniflo loo is not ideal.

- Keith (9/5): Heart of Fougere - The hotel facilities were good, although water could have been hotter. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location in the centre of Fougere was its high point and also it's main weakness. See below Chucking out time of the adjacent disco made for an early start on Saturday - 0600! It was interesting to watch the local emergency services' response. A similar incident occurred at 0300 on Sunday morning.
