Annulation de la part de l'hôtel 6h avant notre arrivée - L'hôtel s'est permis d'annuler notre réservation faite via booking 6h avant notre arrivée ce qui nous a contraint à trouver un hôtel en urgence en sachant que le 31 janvier beaucoup d'hôtel sur chiang Mai sont prit. nous avons pu trouver un hôtel à 15 km mais malheureusement le coup était bien supérieur au saitong que nous avions réservé depuis plus de 6 mois et nous avons eu des frais de taxi que nous n'aurions pas eu si nous avions logé au saitong puisqu'il se situe à 20 minute à pied du centre.

Reservei um quarto durante Festival das Lanternas, com tudo confirmado pelo booking e depois de estar completamente cansado após pegar um ônibus noturno de Bangcock a Chiang, precisando simplesmente de um lugar para ficar, tomar um banho, deixar minha mochila e descansar, tal foi a minha surpresa ao anfitrião dizer que estava com todos os quartos lotados e que era para eu ir embora! Com meu quarto reservado e confirmado! E com toda a rede hoteleira da cidade lotada não me ofereceu nenhuma outra solução, com zero de hospitalidade e empatia, se não fosse pessoas que conheci na cidade que me ofereceram o chão dos seus quartos para eu dormir, se dependesse desse hotel eu simplesmente teria dormido na rua.

Night Bazaar ist gut zu erreichen (20 min zu Fuß) Zum Frühstück gab es jeden Morgen für die Zimmer aufgeteilt frisches Obst und gekochte Eier.

• Lotta (10/5): Big rooms and comfy beds! - We had a wonderful stay here. It was a super location as there are some lovely places (walkable)to eat nearby. Very peaceful. We had a family room which we were amazed on how big it was and found the beds very comfy. Easy and close to get into the centre but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Fantastic value for money. And above all, the owners are really lovely. Nothing, we had everything we needed. I recommend this accommodation.
• Neve-Græsbøll (4/5): Uhygiejnisk - Personalet var venligt Værelset var mørkt og havde kun vinduer ud til opbevaringsrum og køkken. Værelser havde dårlig belysning, bestod kun af lysstofrør. Badeværelset lugtede meget fugtigt, badekarret var helt ødelagt i bunden, så man badede ovenpå et gitter for ikke at falde igennem. I loftet hang rigtige mange små dimser eller pupper ned fra loftet. Vandhanen var utæt, så det dryppede på gulvet hver gang man tændte. Toiletbrættet var i stykker. Værelset havde mange random møbler stående, som mest bare var i vejen
• Katarzyna (1/5): - Nie warto psuć sobie wyjazdu rezerwując ten nocleg. Właściciele bardzo nieuprzejmi, nie mówią po angielsku, czystość pozostawia wiele do życzenia, pieszo nie da się dojść do starego miasta, bo nie ma chodników. Właściciele prowadzą zeszyt, w którym zapisują rezerwacje noclegów. Generuje to masę błędów. Po przyjeździe czekaliśmy na pokój ponad godzinę, nie wiedząc co się dzieje, bo nikt nam nie chciał udzielić informacji. Dopiero po czasie okazało się, że zamiast 4 dni (zarezerwowanych 2 miesiące wcześniej), mamy nocleg na 2 dni. Nikt nas nawet za tą sytuację nie przeprosił. Nie tylko my mieliśmy taką sytuację. Kilka osób zmierzyło się z tym samym, co chwilę było słychać awanturę o pokoje. Cała sytuacja kosztowała nas nie tylko masę stresu, ale i pieniędzy, ponieważ nasz pobyt przypadał na czas festiwalu i wszystkie noclegi były prezerwowane. Dodatkowo w łazience jest wielki znak że nie można wrzucać papieru do toalety, a kosza nie było. W pokoju bardzo nieprzyjemnie pachniało. Śniadanie składało się z jajka na twardo i banana. Bardzo nie polecam!

• Dennis (3/5): - Die Lage war ruhig, abseits der Old City. Für keine 100 thb mit Bolt ins Getümmel. Zurück zur Hauptstraße war gegenüber am Fluss ein kleines Restaurant. Sehr lecker. Das Hotel war überbucht. Somit konnte man meine Buchung nicht erfüllen. Wegen Festival Loi Krathong wurden Frühbucher storniert und Gäste die mehr bezahlen wurden einquartiert. Leider war ich kein Einzelfall. Daher die schlechte Bewertung. Nach 2 Nächten von 9 musste ich auschecken. Findet zur Festivalzeit mal ein anderes Hotel... Nicht OK von Hotel. Das Frühstück bestand aus Instandkaffee, 2 gekochten Eiern, 2 Bananen. Toast und Marmelade.

• Diana (9/5): Superb - I loved staying at Saithong House. My room was huge and so was the bed. The bed was also one of the most comfortable I've slept on in Thailland. I love the quirky style and the couple who run it are very sweet. My room had windows on three sides with screens on them, and a ceiling fan so I was able to sleep with the windows open and just the fan on at night. So much light and fresh air in the room. The location is very quiet and very close to the river. I ended up extending my stay and would definitely stay here again. There was also a good desk and two actual office chairs and good wifi so I was able to get a lot of work done in comfort.

Very noisy. Thick walls. 4:00AM some roosters started to do their Job and could not stop until we left. • Lisa (9/5): Friendly hotel with big comfortable rooms, 10mins walking to town - Very large room and bed with desk and chair for working, fridge, blockout curtains and good internet. Location is quiet, only can hear roosters. Staff are lovely, the son offered to drive me into the city when i left. Location is a bit out. You will need to get taxi with luggage but it’s only 10mins walking to the iron bridge, supermarket and restaurants. I personally liked the location as it was local and out of the tourist area. Would recommend! Noise from other guests. People were sitting at the table outside my room drinking at 3am. Not hotels fault but they should put up signs for people not to sit there in the sleeping hours. Also had some mosquitos so bring repellant.
• Maciej (9/5): Superb - The place was really clean, with daily housekeeping. The facilities were a bit old, but it wasn’t an issue. Breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus, and overall, it was good value for money. Owners were very nice. A bit far from the city center which would not be too bad, but since there was no sidewalk and the road was super busy, walking wasn’t an option. So, using Grab is a must every time.

• Daryn (7/5): Good - A traditional thia house and owners where very nice Paid for breakfast which wasn't worth having 2 small sausages and a boiled egg. Toast no butter available, coffee very limited enough for one small cup . Come in after a ride not water for a shower and electric kept tripping.

• Massimiliano (8/5): Guesthouse Chiang Mai - The owner was really welcoming. Good guesthouse, AC and fridge in the room. They make your bed daily, and give you 2 water bottles. Breakfast included as well. Great budget accomodation if you visiting Chiang Mai.

That is my only grouse, otherwise room and house is a little old but kept very clean. Breakfast is very basic. See above

The owner does not treat me in the right way and I dont know who to blame. • Sophie (10/5): A nice stay at this family run hotel / house - We had a great time at Saithong House! We stayed 9 nights instead of the previously 2 nights booked so that says a lot. The owners were very nice, the location was good and our room had all the facilities we needed (fridge and kettle were a big plus). The bed was super wide (much appreciated given our baby slept between us) and the room clean.

• Arnaud (6/5): deception, not efficient staff - rooms are clean, thé location is calm, very appreciated to sleep we asked to arrive at 4pm due to our arrival by train at 4pm as the hotel is mentionned 24/24 reception. hotel closed but managed with a short call (but cannot access the hotel if your phone is nok!) the staff at the reception had no money for thé 1000baht billet and said they would give the money back in the morning. but no one at the reception breakfast not like thé pictures, no fruit no egg no sausage
• Irina (9/5): perfect accommodation, strongly recommend! - the staff was very friendly, showed a lot of hospitality. right after we arrived, one of the hosts gave us a lift to the center for free. our room was being cleaned every day, even if it was not needed. they offered us bottles of water for free every day. they were changing the towels often. the breakfast was good, you could see that they were making an effort to offer something different every day, unlike other accommodations where we’ve stayed in Thailand, where the breakfast would only mean toast with jam. overall, this accommodation has everything you would need for a short stay in Chiang Mai. maybe a little bit far from the center. but this was not a problem for us, as we really enjoy walking.

• Globaltravler (7/5): Good - The interior style of the house, pretty classical Homestay/guesthouse, stylish design on the rooms. The location, a little dark alley right beside a buissy road so very risky to go somewhere from the hotel because the buissy road just by.

• Richard (10/5): Saithong House - felt at home - The hosts were so warm and welcoming that we felt at home straight away. During our 8 day stay we enjoyed everything about Saithong House. The breakfast was very good and differed daily which was refreshing. We were able to use bicycles from Siathong House which helped enormously in getting around Chiang Mai. There is nothing to say that we didn't like.
• Charli (7/5): Lovely homestay - The bed was comfy, not hard like most Thai beds. Was nice to get a simple breakfast in the price. Cooked for you and covered and left in dining room for whenever you want it. Toast, jam and microwave available also. Coffee, tea. We were given the family room as the double we booked wasn't available. Huge room with 3 queen beds (only needed one) and lounge which was a bonus. Shower was good, with a curtain so toilet didn't get wet. The owners were lovely although they didn't speak any English. Used google translate when checking in, all good. Grog shop 1 minute walk if needed. Overall it was great for the price There was a funky smell in the bathroom at first but went away after a while. WIFI not good (as is most of Thailand). It's a bit of a walk to the old town but doable even in the heat. Grab is easy to get. Nearest 7/11 maybe a 10 minute walk on the road.

• Joseph (8/5): Beautiful home-style hotel - The owners are a lovely family with ready smiles and super service. The home-cooked breakfasts were just right. The many plants and decorations gave the place a super welcoming feel. The A/C was amazing. The beds were standard. The inline heater made for a shower that was as long and hot as you wanted. The tuk-tuk ride to the night market was only 100-120 baht. The common areas (front porch, big living room style balcony, and lobby/dining room) provided relaxing settings for any down time. And the internet worked well enough to chair meetings via Zoom (video conferencing) so you really can't ask for better than that. Overall this place is comfortable, quiet, safe, and just feels good. We recommend this hotel.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Really nice except the bathroom - We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was pretty nice, easy to find and the couple running it are super lovely. However, the bathroom didn't have a very good drain so it flooded every time you used the shower, and the water pressure was low so it took ages to have a shower. The room was very clean though and the family were lovely. Breakfast was good and the hotel is walking distance from the main city which is great. Overall, it was pretty good for what we paid.
