Guest Reviews
- Cortney (10/5): - Great location and views with a spacious room, bathroom, and balcony
- Ketyrah (10/5): - Wonderful hotel! Only thing I wished they had was a microwave. They should consider adding one to the cookie room. Would definitely stay here again!
- Kevin (10/5): - Excellent property, very helpful staff, and fresh baked cookies!!
- Henry (10/5): - Great stay, nice balcony view, jacuzzi in the room, comfortable bed, breakfast included!
- James (8/5): - The pool and restaurant are in a different building a short walk away but shown as on property. Not a problem for us as it was a rain weekend and we were away from the hotel much of our stay.
I was shocked that our bed was not made even though we hung out please clean our room sign. The room was clean - just not what I expected.
The continental breakfast was perfect the first day but the second day the orange juice was a sip when the day before was a full glass. They offer cookies at 3:00p each day but we never saw them or received one. Perhaps they should be placed on the room so all can enjoy.
- Kisha (10/5): - Quiet, private, quaint, scenic an cozy...A beautiful oasis with lovely sunsets. It is indeed a 10/10.
- Gerald W. (10/5): - The property and the staff were great. The room was large and had a good view.
- Brian (10/5): Great stay - Great place to stay and location. Romantic views and room. Great and helpful staff
- Katie (10/5): - We absolutely love these cute little boutique hotels. The older we get we prefer adult only and away from all the loud party scenes. This is our new favorite place to stay.
- Stephne (10/5): - Quaint. Quiet. Upscale boutique hotel. Went over and above to make our stay enjoyable. The views from the deck area were serene. We ate at Fagers outdoor restaurant and fine dining restaurant. Both meals were exceptional.
This place is totally different vibe than the ocean side. Not crowded. Prob a five min walk down end of the street to the beach. Can’t wait to return.
- Duha (2/5): - We canceled our reservation immediately after we checked in, photos give you the feeling that this hotel is clean, the smell is the problem, it’s this chemical unclean smell that is overpowering you can’t ignore it, the lady on service desk was very rude too, carpets are dirty, the whole thing is just very shady and not what photos give you impression. It’s very far from the beach and broad walk too. I had to argue with the front desk to return my whole money back, she insisted that she will take the first night deposit but I refused coz it’s not my fault, she gave me the money back but after giving me hard time and disrespecting me. I’m glad that I didn’t stay there
- Suzanne (10/5): - Lovely setting on the bay and a wonderful accommodating staff. Would come back again
- Alisha (10/5): - Nice little place!
- Edward (6/5): Good & Bad - Mattress was amazing!!
Service for more towels was great
Carpet on stairs and halls is grossly dirty
Foul smell in halls
The causeway leading to parking lot should be a 1 ft higher and guardrails each side to help mark both edges of road and gauge height if flooded
- James (10/5): Looking forward to returning - Excellent service and stay!! Looking forward to returning Ocean City Maryland, and will definitely stay at this location again.
- Waldemar (10/5): - Had agreat time
- Dennis (10/5): - This has got to be the best kept secret on the coast! Unbelievable architectural details, bay views, quiet. Convenient dining and bar. Superior staff and helpfulness. Little things go a long way...real wine glasses, real coffee mugs, complimentary snacks and drinks provided in the room, fresh baked goodies in the AM. If the price were doubled, it would still be a bargain! This is our "go to" place whenever we are back in the area.
- Deidra (10/5): - Adorable place with neat features that give you that upscale experience.
- Robert (2/5): - Tub did not drain. No hot water. Staff unaccommodating.
- John (8/5): - Very peaceful andvyhe arss is nice. Room was spacious and quiet and staff were helpful.
- Lawrence (10/5): - My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, and we couldn’t have been happier. The view was amazing!!! The room was beautiful and huge!! We loved it. We were in walking distance to so much. We’re definitely coming back.
- Britni (10/5): The Lighthouse is Beautiful - First time visiting the Lighthouse, it was amazing! The staff was very accommodating and the room and view were beautiful! Will definitely be back
- Patrick (10/5): - Don’t usually write reviews but this hotel and staff are amazing and I will definitely coming back. 10/10
- Bryan (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and surrounding area. Would def recommend and will be back
- Oscar (2/5): - They didn’t let us in because someone was under 21 that they didn’t indicate when I reserved the room, so we lost a lot of time and money of course
- Lori (8/5): Reasonably priced place on the Bay - Though this is an older building, the rooms were spacious and clean. We enjoyed the balcony and being able to see the sunset on the bay. A continental breakfast was provided in room so we didnt have to leave. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit and several breakfast items to choose from. It was nice to have a bridge to walk to Fragers and if you didnt want to walk the front desk would bring you whatever you needed. The room was reasonably priced. The pool very small.
- NATALIE (10/5): - The hotel is very neat and right on the water. The room was very nice! The only cons I found was the decks need some repairs and the shower was very difficult to operate.
- helga (8/5): - I would like the bathrooms more accessible for the mature. The bathroom should have a walk in shower. I could not climb into the tub without help. This would really be great.
- Michael (2/5): - Awful. Such a beautiful place with a lot of potential but it’s noisy (they’re under construction) and they’re gonna lie to you and be rude about that fact.
- Michael (10/5): - We had such a wonderful time at this property! I absolutely loved sitting so close to the water! The room was so lovely and spacious! Everyone was so nice and helpful! Can't wait to come back!
- Daniel (10/5): - I liked everything, Management was amazing.. Can't wait to go back ☺️
- Tammy (10/5): - Beautiful place.
- TERRY (10/5): - The property was actually the type of property you’d stay at for some peace and quiet. Great atmosphere and amenities can’t wait to go back to this resort like hotel.
- Ahlee (10/5): - staff was friendly and they treated us great our room didn't have AC so they upgraded our room with no extra cost to a beautiful penthouse room right over the water, will be returning
- Michael (10/5): - Me and my wife loved everything about the experience we were in room 111 the staff was nothing but courteous very friendly and the rooms were always spotless the complain I have is that we can't stay there the same time next year because it's already booked other than that everything is awesome 😔😊😊
- John (10/5): - The hotel was very quaint and quiet, with an efficient staff running in the background. After hours support I was out in the cold when I needed water late at night, but that is my only complaint. Beautiful property and really pleasant people and guests.
- Lauren (10/5): - .
- Donna (10/5): - Very accommodating, clean and friendly!! Good location as well.
- Joe (6/5): Great for Adults Who Want to be Self-sufficient - In general, the hotel is nice. The big win for us was it being adults only, so no screaming/crying kids around was very nice. The cleaning crew was fantastic and reset the room every day. The front desk, Stephen (or Steven, I'm not sure on the spelling) specifically was not exactly a welcome wagon. We knew during booking that there was a pool, but no one told us it was in a separate building/hotel. We happened to have overheard a different couple be toured around during their check-in (something that wasn't provided to us) and found out about the pool and restaurant/bar situation from that. During checkout, there was no one available at the front desk or on site at all. We ended up leaving the key cards on the front desk with a note because no one explained if there was anything specific to do for checkout. Finally, while the room was nice, our view was less desireable. It faced the street coming down to the hotel which meant we got hit with everyone's headlights driving towards us. And the parking lot wasn't pretty enough to want to sit out on the balcony. Just would have been nice to know that not every room had bay views.
- KEVIN (10/5): - A beautiful quiet setting with a great view of the Bay.
- Robert (8/5): Nice, but showing age - We stayed here 10 years ago. It is still nice but needs some sprucing up.
- Marc (8/5): - My wife and I liked the hotel. There should have been a bar in the bathroom that would make it easier to get in and out of the shower.
- Natale (8/5): - Nice location. Spacious room.
- Michael (6/5): - Was a great experience. Room and view was nice. Air conditioning didnt work well.
- Rickard (10/5): - This was an awesome place to stay. Great room. Great restaurant with outstanding entertainment at night . 2 bands then a DJ. Danced the nights away. Staff at the lighthouse were fantastic. Steven went above and beyond to take care of. Us. Highly recommend this location. Plan on future stays.
- Leigh (8/5): - Was a nice room bay front. The bed was fabulous! The room needs a good deep clean specifically the bathroom...door, tile, tub jets, corners.
- Chase (10/5): - So amazing
- Christine (10/5): - I went with my daughter for a quick over night trip for her 24th birthday. OCMD has always been our home away from home. This place was so clean and beautiful. The best hotel we’ve ever stayed at in the 21 years we’ve been going there. We had a fun photo shoot wearing the robes! The view from our balcony was breath taking. The back porch on the water was the perfect place to have my morning coffee. The pool was tiny but perfect. Being adults only, you didn’t have to worry about little ones being around. They also had complimentary snacks and bottled water for their guests pool side. Will definitely be back!
- Ricardo (10/5): - Great place all around... definitely coming back
- Anthony (8/5): - The property is secluded and off the main strip which is great. It is part of a group on Fager Island. If you are looking for some privacy in a very busy beach resort town, this is it.
- Adam (10/5): Awesome hotel - Amazing place great rooms very comfortable very clean. The snacks in the rooms were awesome. The fresh fruit was amazing it’s a nice and quiet place right on the water kinda feel like you are secluded from everyone. Nice balcony’s also
- Aileen (10/5): - My sister and I had a wonderful time. This was the perfect hotel walking distance to all the bars and restaurants we wanted to visit. Everything was walking distance, like a mini mart, the beach, Dunkin’ Donuts, pizzeria (that delish) spirits shop, etc… extremely convenient
The staff were wonderful! Everything was clean and immaculate. We had great ocean views and we loved our room. We have nothing negative to say and sincerely genuinely loved our experience and DEFINITELY will book here again when we return.
- Jean (10/5): - My stay at the Lighthouse Club Hotel was truly excellent. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was peaceful, clean, and welcoming. The staff was attentive and kind, and the amenities exceeded expectations. The view and ambiance made it a perfect retreat — I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
Thank you for the memorable experience!
- Imeida (10/5): - I love this please go is beautiful place I want to go again I share the lighthouse club with my friend and family please go
- Lisa (8/5): - I needed a place to decompress and relax and the lighthouse definitely fulfilled that purpose. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The floor plan was very well thought as it had a multipurpose feel to it without feeling crowded. The hotel is a little dated but i feel that adds to its charm. There is no elevator so if you have health challenges keep your luggage to a minimum. Although the young man did assist with taking my suitcase to my 2nd floor room. The only real downside was that i didn’t get the opportunity to experience the spectacular sunset. My room had a great view of the bay so I can only imagine watching the sunset but that was no fault of the hotel, blame it all on the weather.
- Glenn (10/5): - Room location & decor excellent.
Very clean, complimentary breakfast & drinks in the refrigerator very nice.
We rate this very high!!!
- Tammy (6/5): - Although clean, the odors where overwhelming for those with allergies. Carpets need removed and air circulation prior to guests coming. The staff was sweet...property was aged as are so many in Ocean City. Staff was very nice
- Debbie (6/5): - Needs some updates
- Kathleen (10/5): - Wow! Our room was magical! Far and away the most beautiful room I have stayed in in a long time. It was gorgeously decorated. Loved being able to walk out on the deck and feel like I was actually in the bay. The staff was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here
- Ashley (10/5): - I felt it well accommodated both my boyfriend and I well it was well kept and very clean. We would stay again for sure!
- Michael (10/5): - The staff was amazing. The views amazing. The architecture of the building is wonderful. Easy access to everything and it was super peaceful
- Kim (10/5): - Beautiful
- Victoria (10/5): - My stay at Lighthouse Club Hotel was absolutely amazing. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The view was beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend. It's walking distance to the club as well. My husband really enjoyed himself.
- Pilar (10/5): - Our stay was amazing.
- Tatianna (10/5): - We had a great one night stay. The staff were friendly and the room beautiful. We could smell how clean it was upon arrival. The parking was nice as well as the view. We felt far enough away from the boardwalk so we didn’t hear tons noise but close enough to walk to the boardwalk. The decor in the room was thoughtful and honestly really nice.
- Nathan (10/5): - Front desk staff was excellent. Everyone asked how we were, always greeted us whether we were coming or going. Room balcony was directly over the bay. Room was large, bathroom jetted tub/ shower was huge. Great stay!
- Megan (6/5): - My husband and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend.
The pros were it is a 21+ property and very quiet. The staff was friendly and courteous. Out back also has a beautiful patio which we had to ourselves. The area is also fairly secluded and plenty of food options with the beach only a 7 minute walk away.
But, at nearly $400 p/n, I expected a more upscale experience especially since the hotel is so small and it was not anywhere near capacity.
The room we stayed in was very outdated. Our door didn't fully close so there was a gap in the door frame where it appeared unlocked from the outside. We were told that door has been like that for a long time. The carpet and furniture was all old, the hair dryer was ancient. The mirrors all had staining. The TV was pretty small for the bedroom size, and put at a weird angle so we had to sit up in bed to see it comfortably.
Cleaninless could have been better - the bathroom tub was a full jacuzzi style with visibly not well cleaned jets and a shower head that was not high enough on the wall. There were dead bugs around the base of multiple walls.
The continental breakfast was in our mini fridge. We got a small cup of orange juice each covered with plastic wrap, two small cups of fruit, a yogurt, a muffin each, and some granola. They also had a small table of pastries downstairs.
Had this been half the price, this would have been a bit more expected. But for the price we paid, the value just wasn't there.
- M (10/5): - Beautiful room, great staff, overlooking the bay, off the beaten path, with beautiful common spaces. We were there for five days! It was the perfect place to get engaged! An easy Uber to two day music festival down on the boardwalk, and walking distance to a fun bar. Fantastic stay!
- Edward (10/5): - Wonderful stay. Spacious room. Great spaces to relax and enjoy the view of the sunset. Close walk to the beach and night life but also a beautiful hotel to enjoy peace and quiet.
- Amber (10/5): Peaceful - Great room. Very specious and quiet! Clean :)
- David (8/5): Great place - Beautiful property, friendly service, great location. Everything was great except the bed was so hard I could not sleep. Was looking forward to returning.
View and room were amazing.
- Holly (10/5): - Very nice
- Steven (10/5): - Perfect location. Quiet and beautiful
- Kyu (10/5): - Great place to go! Friendly staff and nice room
- Sean (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay, Keith and the staff were lovely and warm. We will be staying again!
- Martin (10/5): - It’s what thought it would be
- Scott (8/5): - Getting ready for high season
- Amy (10/5): - Amazing views, spacious room full of wonderful amenities and so peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet get away but still close to all the action.
- Shawn (10/5): - Loved the location, can’t wait to go back
- Gregory (6/5): Was NOT worth the cost. - stay was okay except for the construction above and the Cleaning Gentleman walking in without knocking at 8:15 in the MORNING !
- James (10/5): Anniversary getaway. - Very nice a clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- Brenda (10/5): - Staff is very helpful, I will start again
- Jack (10/5): - We stayed there before and enjoyed our stay. we are also lighthouse people so it was cool the stay there,
- Jennifer (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMEND - This place went far beyond my expectations. I came here for my birthday weekend and was not disappointed. Very friendly staff, our room was very clean and stocked. The view was beautiful and the room was very nice. I would definitely recommend.
- Kimberly (6/5): - Overall the property and staff were excellent but they allowed the people in the room next to ours to play music so loud and go unchecked until we had to call front desk at 1:00 am and 2:30 am each night we were there. Didn’t offer a free stay or anything for the inconvenience. We stayed at this property bc it was adults only but!! Will probably pass on this property next time. Sad though because we really liked the staff. Thanks
- Frank (8/5): - Very cool spot . No breakfast so that’s not included
- Lawrence (10/5): - The rooms were beautiful, they were bright and cheerful which made your feelings of being on vacation that much more amazing. Small boutique style, staff was absolutely wonderful. The huge comfortable bed with the upscale sheets, pillows and comforter made drifting off to Dreamland effortless. I will definitely return here this fall and my many trips following this
- Justin (10/5): - Had a great stay at lighthouse. Rooms are a little outdated( was previously known from pics), but the cleanliness, ease of check in/out, safety, and convenience all were top notch. Would definitely recommend and stay again in future.
- Robert (10/5): - Excellent
- Andrew (10/5): - The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that our deck was missing chairs.
- Michelle (10/5): - Had an amazing time at the Lighthouse. The accommodations were excellent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to going back again.
- Karl (8/5): - It was surrounded by water.
- Bradley (10/5): - Couldn’t ask for anything more.. Property was extremely quiet n so pleasant and peaceful! Will definitely look to stay there every time I go back to Ocean City MD for sure 💯💯😂
- julie (10/5): - The property was lovely. Our room was on the water. Grocery store near by. Prices were fabulous. Restaurants were delightful. The beach was a 5 minute walk..Loved this place. Cozy and warm!
- Rodolph (10/5): - The property was clean and well-maintained with an interesting historic naval feel about it. The rooms are well appointed and quirky, you really feel like youre living in a lighthouse! There's a beautiful seating area downstairs where you feel like you're in an ancient ship on the sea and you can eat freshly made cookies and drink fresh coffee outside on a rocking chair on the verdanda directly on the water! I could say even more but will stop here, go see it for yourself! We had an absolutely wonderful time. ❤️
- Paul (2/5): - Would not recommend looks can be deceiving we left and went to a better and cleaner, place and got a refund
- William (10/5): Charming and GREAT Location! - We LOVE The Lighthouse Club Hotel! This is a small hotel with just a few rooms and is adults only!
The location is fantastic!
We have stayed here the last few years after staying at another hotel just around the corner previous years.
Once we arrive we park our car and can walk to the restaurants, bars, and the beach. Beautiful bay side location right near some protected marshland and just over a couple walking bridges from Fagers Island. We’ve been going to Fagers every summer for the last 18+ years!
This year we got an updated room which was very nice and bright. To be honest the bathrooms still need some significant updating and some parts of this hotel show some wear, BUT we love the charm and will be back for sure! They have a cocktail on tap at the main desk, but you need to ask they don’t usually ask you if you want one. Also a great little lounge area next to the front desk that includes a porch right on the water!
Check in and was super friendly.
If you don’t have one of the upper rooms you will have an adjoining balcony. We just love it here and will definitely be back! One note is the Jacuzzi tub in our room had a wraparound shower curtain and could be pretty difficult to get in and out of for some people.

- Anthony (10/5): - Property was awesome. The housekeeping staff was even better. They were polite and helpful and made the stay great.
- Jadan (10/5): lighthouse Club Hotel is a must visit!! - Me and my girlfriend made our first ever trip together to the hotel. First of all it’s a no kids hotel and I loved that!! As we arrived we were treated a guests immediately with the upmost care and attention. The staff was a very pleasant and accommodating. Was not expecting the champagne as were welcomed at the front desk very nice gesture. The rooms and building I were spotless and well groomed from top to bottom absolutely no complaints about how clean it was. 10/10 experience and I will be going back in the future to the same hotel. What also separates this hotel is its location. It’s not side by side with another hotel it’s by itself once you make that turn from main road and it is right in front of you by the water. That comfort of not having to interact with persons from other hotels or persons walking past on the main road did it for me to be honest. I believe this hotel should be rated 5/5 stars. Worth every penny and I hope others enjoy it as much as we did. The jacuzzi style bathtub was an amazing experience as well as we got the queens size bed which was more than enough for both of us. Despite what the picture shows of the pool believe me it’s clean and beautiful. The image on Google doesn’t do it justice and it’s not small either. We went in August 2024 which is a busy period and they did an amazing job every second we were there. Didn’t feel interrupted at all. Went about our trip and enjoyed it plus the beach is close by as well and definitely recommend it.
