- Ebelina (8/5): - Good size & handy having the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Lovely views. Just needs some maintenance (shelves broken in the showers, front door damaged, etc).

- Kyle (10/5): 4 nights in Mackay for cricket - Apsttment was magnificent. Incredibly comfortable bed and good facilties within. Kitchen, living room and bsthroom all immaculate, honestly accommodation itself second to none. Location not ideal if you dont have a car though due to distance from shops and resturanta in center of Mackay. If you have a car though as i assume most would, recommend staying here
- Warren (6/5): - First the good: secure parking is great and the rooms are a good size. However this place is looking very tired. No maintenance is done, shower head held on with a cable tie. Stained carpets and walls and the bed worn out. Balcony is good but unusable with all the smoking going on. Not a smoke free property. No smart TV for streaming or casting. Location is good but how about a coat of paint and new carpets, for the cost. Absolutely no room service for fresh towels etc unless you stay 7 days. Don’t think I’ll be back. Business trip 3 night stay.

- Mathew (8/5): - Great suite of apartments, well appointed even though a bit on the pricier side. There is only one lift and you'll likely have to wait a while because the cleaners use it in the morning. A minor quibble but they did not stock the fridge with milk.
- Nan (4/5): - The mattress was terrible… I feel like folding in half by the mattress and you can clearly see the king bed is formed by two singles and they are not leveled! One side is sinking in the middle, makes it impossible to stand up the next morning. I literally couldn’t feel my back after slept in it… Terrible experience won’t recommend.

The thing that made it awful was that the room stank of cigarettes and alcohol coming from the other room. it was so bad it burnt my nostrils and I had a horrible sleep. I was very busy while I was in town so didn’t have a chance to talk to staff for a new room or for a refund so I could go somewhere else. It’s like the air is connected somehow cause the bathroom was the worst in the morning and the alcove you walk in first that joined two apartments. Lounge worse at night. I emailed them and let them know but I had to go to my meeting and had to leave town for a 4hour drive home the same day. I never heard back from them.

- David (8/5): - Apartment was fine, heavily used though and some things were wornout or broken ( no knob on the ceiling fan switch, one window wouldn't close properly). But the staff were very friendly and the area was very quiet.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Property has potential but it's lack of cleaning and maintenance let's it down. This accommodation seems to be mostly shift workers short term stays with some residential, not for holidays. We tried to modify stay by moving back one day, Pacific Sands said no problem but we had to get Wotif to put it through. Wotif then made a big deal about it and claimed Pacific Sands would not respond so we either lost a nights stay or had to pay a large fee for the change. Upon arrival the reception at Pacific Sands had received nothing from Wotif and happily moved our dates by one day. A big thank you to the reception for doing that. We haven't used Wotif for some time and won't be using them again

- Keith (2/5): - I got in late and the doors were locked so I was unable to check in to my room. I ended up having to go to a different hotel even though I had already paid for this one.
- ColinParawan (2/5): Totally disappointed.... - The curtains had traces of mold. The washing machine was not cleaned, the dryer contained towels left by the cleaning staff. There were cobwebs at the base of the dishwasher in the kitchen area. Pillows in second bedroom had unknown white marks/stains on them. Several surfaces had dirty marks. EG Doors and walls. I used this property several years ago but due to the state of the room, family and I will not be returning. This was reported to reception but have not been contacted by property management and therefore i expect they have little care for their guests.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not stay here! - Advertised as 4 star. Room is underwhelming. Limited furniture/decorating, carpet stained, light fittings missing, throw pillows stained. Gross! Walls between rooms are paper thin. I was subjected to listening to a domestic dispute from the room next door, including the constant slamming of doors and children screaming for 3 and half hours. No info on after hour contact, complained in the morning and was told the after hour contact number is on the front door to the lobby - quite unsafe for a lone female traveller with a domestic dispute happening in the room next door and spilling out into the shared spaces. Reception didn’t care. I won’t be staying here again. Honestly a nightmare experience
- Catherine (6/5): Pretty average - Rooms are tired, big red stain on the carpet, black marks on the wall. Receptionist was lovely when we asked for more towels and toilet paper as the rooms are not serviced every day. It is convenient to have some cutlery, crockery and the kettle, sandwich press, microwave and toaster.
- Dennis (6/5): - Upon arrival the front desk did not tell me any information just gave me the keys and sent me on my way I had to ask about every little detail which should have been provided welcoming me. I had no aircon for four days, when I called up about this issue they were not very accommodating and said they would not know when it will be fixed. Was fixed on last day however, communication was poor and I was not aware till before I checked out.

- Lynette Amy (6/5): - Condition of the property/rooms is not as good as photos show. Outside noise from cleaners and other guests - definitely not soundproof rooms. Toilet ran all day/night making water hammer noise. Cutlery and plates needed washing. Parking was good with adjacent vacant lot.
- Michael (4/5): - -clean and quiet -reasonably priced -not located near shops (short drive to CBD) -very poor communication -broken lockbox so very stressful after hours check-in trying to find the person I'd called an hour previously giving them our eta but who left the phone downstairs so we couldn't reach them for several minutes (reception unmanned after 5pm) -room without a view (only windows were at top of wall so dont book if you're claustrophobic) - and no, we didnt know this from the photos online.

- Asta (6/5): - We stayed 12 nights during Christmas and New Year but only got once housekeeping service. Some facilities in the room not working, eg. TV, fan and laundry dryer. The balcony door handles became mouldy and disgusting. Ants everywhere in the kitchen area.

Entrance door to the apartment sticks and needs to be fixed, so does the balcony screen door - we couldn’t get it to slide across . The air conditioning units are broken so you can’t change the air flow. The pool area looks pretty bad with the plastic plants, the only live healthy plants are the weeds. Trying to get into the car park is hard when the reader at the gate leans away from the car… We found it was much cheaper to book through Wotif than what was quoted from Property Vine direct, and you don’t get much for the amount you pay. The location is the best thing about the place.

- Kathryn (6/5): - The apartment we had this time was smaller and outdated than the one we had two years ago. Parking on-site problematic but off street parking appeared safe. Comfortable beds was a plus.
- Allison (6/5): - Check in was quick and easy, great off street parking. Unit was clean and serviceable, good elevator accessibility. Great views and access to big walking path. Bed was a bit hard, but nice pillows, doona and towels. Kitchen worked well, overall, good accommodation.

- Wolfgang (4/5): a bad tast with this hotel stay - I chose that hotel because of the close proximity to the sea and expected a nice hotel as it looked on the photos. When we arrived at the hotel it was a few minutes before the reception closed for the day. It turned out the hotel was in a residential area without any shops. The window in the very small room was about 1.90m abve the ground and about 50 cm high, there was no chance to look out the window. As the reception was already closed there was no chance to rectify this situation. The off street parking was very full so we had to park in the street. The hotel had 8 floors but only one lift. Very very unsafe. There was a cushion in the bed with a zip sticking out. It gave me two 4cm long scratches in the sleep which resulting with strong bleeding around my ellbow for about 15-20 min. This woke me up in the middle of the night. Evidence was also blood on the sheet and pillow. I normally would expect some compensation for this unpleasant experience.

- Riley (4/5): - Property was expensive yet wasn’t particularly clean, beds were old and uncomfortable, screen door was broken, there was no weather strip on the front door which meant the wind was howling through the apartment all day and night. Receptionist was also a little bit rude. Wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the price.

- Jennifer (8/5): - Reception ladies were very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed. Near bike track. Parking available for larger cars, that the staff took time to specifically show us. Would stay again.
- Luke (6/5): - Room was modern but very dirty. Needs a good clean. Balcony smelt bad from all the bird pooh and inside was so dusty everywhere and mould in shower. All the rooms around were booked out by a teenage basketball team so was very noisey.

- Tony (10/5): Highly recommend - Efficient booking, check-in/out and very clean. Extremely good value for money. Stayed here a few times now and each stay these high standards have been met.
- Carolyn (8/5): - Staff are always welcoming and helpful, some minor maintenance issues but didn't detract from an overall enjoyable stay. Car parking can be an issue.
- Chantelle (2/5): - We were told when we made the booking that there were builders on the roof(and will be for three weeks) we checked in around 2pm (agin weren’t told) and had to listen until 5pm to hammering drilling and footsteps while trying to work. They’ve returned at 0630am!!!! I can’t work while all that’s going on. Aircon in bedroom but working either and no one to call. I’d like a refund!
- Carolyn (8/5): - Staff are very accommodating, we've stayed here several times and the staff are always pleasant to deal with. Parking can sometimes be an issue as there's limited space for guests.

- Cherie (8/5): Good hotel for a weekend or business trip - Good hotel for a business trip or weekend away with a purpose, sports etc. Located just outside CBD.

- Carrie (6/5): - The property service staff were very communicative and helped out immensely with our stay and for that we are very grateful. The location is great, away from the noisy main streets and our room had a wonderful water views. Our room was clean; however it was quite tired and really in a need of a revamp. The Air Conditioner is definitely in need of a clean and it's effectiveness was quite challenged due to the age of the appliance. The bed was ok and as a sleeper that prefers very firm beds, this one was a little on the too soft side (of course, this is just a personal preference that the hotel has no control over). All round it was an ok night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Low score on cleanliness given because of pigeon inhabited balcony and their droppings, all over rails, floor, outdoor furniture and air conditioning unit on balcony. Disgusting! Initially missing cutlery and china items, readily supplied by receptionist. Receptionist who was on duty when we checked in extremely helpful and friendly! A big bonus mark!

- Jo-Ann (4/5): Disappointing and overpriced - In a 5 night stay, none of the towels had been changed or the toiletries replenished. The 2 bedroom apartment which had 2 heavy, separate doors had only 1 set of keys. Secured parking was very limited, otherwise you were out on the street. Certainly not value for money
- Daniel (8/5): - Property, although not in Mackay CBD, is easily accessible via taxi etc. Property is value for money and comfortable to stay in. My only negative is that there needs to be an onsite coffee machine that people can pay to use as well as a vending machine with snacks etc, as if only staying for overnights etc, most are not likely to go shopping.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not quite happy. - Facility was good but the cleanness of the property was very bad. Specially the doona. So discussting! We find the rubbish inside the cupboard from probably last ppl stayed in this room. I don’t know how the housekeeper done the job or how the hotel not worrying to fix the problem???

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property and room itself was great for what I needed however, I required check in after hours, the communication from the property was very poor, had the call the property a few times to get instructions, ultimately in the end called the emergency after hours number who finally sent instructions of how to access property after hours just before arriving.
