Guest Reviews

- David (6/5): Overall good - 3pm check in too late despite requesting and early time.
- Glovelyn (7/5): Excellent hotel value for money - Room is fine , staff are friendly Aircon feels warm
- 412rinip (10/5): CUBE Family Boutique Capsule Hotel Singapore - Had a great stay at CUBE Family Boutique Capsule Hotel Singapore! The hotel is very clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for families or travelers who want comfort with a unique capsule concept. The capsules are spacious, with private bathroom and surprisingly comfortable, with good lighting and charging ports.
The location is super strategic, close to public transport, food spots, souvenir shops and many attractions around the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the stay even more pleasant. I also loved the common areas — well-maintained, they also provide free water refill, microwave and great for relaxing after a day of exploring Singapore.
Overall, CUBE Family Boutique Capsule Hotel is a great value for money and a smart choice for a comfortable, family-friendly stay in Singapore. Highly recommended! ✨

My personal information been leaked and received scam fishing message on Whatsapp Most of the experience
- Sushila (4/5): My honest comment for this accomodation is the most terrible place even been to - The Room was very very congested. Not even enough space for one person. We booked the room for while family of 4 (2adults and 2 kids) but that room even not enough for one person. No lift to go up. Very hard to carry all big and heavy luggage up on 3rd floor. No helping hands at all🥹🥲
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Sharon (8/5): Great location, comfortable beds - Great location Check in time was very rigid, luggage storage was not secure and storage room was full both times we required it
- Dikshant (7/5): -
- Salomé (6/5): -
- Graeme (8/5): Excellent location and overall great - Great location Room wasn’t quite as we expected based on the photos, other rooms we saw with doors open looked more modernised
- Thy (10/5): - Great price and accommodations!
- ZARI NAZREENE (8/5): - Great staff and cozy room!!!
- Juan (6/5): - limited shopping
AC is ok.
- TING (9/5): Good - Good location
- Mohammad (7/5): -
- Son (8/5): - Closer within traveling necessity.
The bedding can be a touch cleaner.
- rajaa (5/5): -
- 宜溶 (10/5): -
- Lister (6/5): -
- Kanitha (6/5): - Had trouble doing late night check in. Make sure you have good WiFi service to get your digital keycard or you will have to call for front desk to come. Also fair warning, there are no elevators
- Giuseppe Scarpati (8/5): -
- Rodrigo (2/5): - Property showed no flexibility after a mistaken duplicate reservation under a non-refundable rate, even though we did stay with them using the second, longer-stay reservation
- Judy (7/5): - Location of China town Not value for money but basically you have no choice in Singapore because all hotels are expensive.
- Emmanuelle (6/5): Too small for a family of 6 - The Chinatown spot Too small for a family of 6
- Patrick (4/5): - Aircon inside the room is to hot. Very tight space inside the room. Electrical outlet is not accessible.
- Robert (8/5): -
- Richa (8/5): -
- Gemma (6/5): - Convenient location
- Matthias (6/5): - Good located
- Radu (6/5): - Difficult check in. System was down, so digital keys could not be accessed. Several people arrived at the same time, no space to stand. Room is hard to navigate for a family. Great area to visit, but not worth the hassle if traveling with a family.
- Alizee (6/5): Pleasant - Very small room no window The room did not look like any of the picture on booking. Was good enough for sleep and shower, no window
- Alan (8/5): Conveniently location for family - Central location to markets, hawker centre, MRT and attractions
Decent size room for 3-4 people
Self laundry facility Not much space in the room to open suitcase but understandable given location and price
- Amy (8/5): Very fun place to stay - The location is just down the road from China town and pretty close to the train station. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have a small kitchen area in the lobby that we could use. The kids loved that there were also lolly pops in the lobby. Its greatbhave everything we needed was available in the space. The walls are a little thin but nothing early plugs cant fix.
- Charlotte (6/5): Good if all you need is a bed and shower - Great location Very tiny space. The photos are generous. And we were disappointed that each bed didn’t have a tv. It’s hard to squeeze 4 people on a bed comfortably!
- Tuong (8/5): - Very good value: family of 5 in one room. Small ensuite.
Obviously cramped but clean, quiet, airconditioned and in good location
- christiangZ5804GT (4/5): Not suitable for families - We stayed as a family (5 people) for three nights at the CUBE Family Boutique Capsule Hotel @ Chinatown (total cost: 700 USD). Given the 2-star rating, we had modest expectations, but we were still disappointed with our stay and would not recommend this hotel for the following reasons:
1. Complicated check-in: The entire check-in process relies on a mobile app, which was buggy and kept crashing. On-site support was limited and not very helpful.
2. Misleading photos: The images shown on the booking platform (Agoda) did not reflect the actual conditions. Our room was in poor shape, with visible moisture and mold on the ceilings and walls.
3. No window in the room: Our family room had no window, even though the booking photos clearly showed rooms with windows. There was no mention in the description that some rooms are windowless.
4. Safety concerns: Due to the narrow layout and limited accessibility of the hallways, we had serious doubts about the possibility of a safe evacuation in case of an emergency such as a fire.
Conclusion: This accommodation is not suitable for families. Even if the price appears attractive at first glance, it does not justify the significant structural deficiencies and the overall atmosphere.
- JOHNREY (6/5): - Close to public transport and local food
- Andy (8/5): - Place was great but very small for a family of 5, this was my mistake not having stayed at a cube location before, the staff were great!
- Kayla (5/5): Fun experience and a relief to leave - Great concept. Love the complimentary snacks. Staff were fantastic for contacting us when we forgot our bag Having to download an app to checkin even know there is a staff member at reception. Deposit is kept 2-4weeks after checkout.
Broken air conditioning ment out room wasn't available so we had to change rooms midway through our 4 night stay, not fun packing bags mid stay. The second room had a ridiculously loud pump that went off for 2mins every 10mins. Bathroom door wouldn't slide properly. Definitely not sound proof
- Fiona (3/5): Disappointing experience overall. Would not recommend. - Very little. The rooms are in need of repairs. Several breakages of fittings. Staff were slow and disengaged. Rooms and linen were dirty. I would not recommend this hotel.
- Jayson (9/5): Very good stay - The staff and accommodation facilities and freebies Nothing in particular
- Suparjo (7/5): Good -
- Lyn (8/5): - Nice small hotel with smart TV. The street can be slightly noisey due to being in the centre of Chinatown. However it was a good stay in front of the hawker centre and had great restaurants in the surrounding area.
The walls are thin!
- Cecelia (3/5): Poor - nil too small
- Ma (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (1/5): Awful - Staff helpful. Thankfully only there for 1 night Tiny room, shower water so hot & not able to turn it down, power points not working. Air con very noisy
- Leanne (9/5): Great for short stays with family in a fantastic location - Great use of space and really comfortable. Check in process was such a long and awkward process of downloading apps and adding references numbers and waiting for confirmation codes I really don’t understand the point of it
- Terri (8/5): Very good -
- Londren (9/5): Superb -
- Lloyd (9/5): Superb - Very clean and comfortable.
Excellent location.
The staff were very helpful.
- Donny (7/5): Good -
- Shanelle (7/5): We love the capsule rooms. - We love the location. Its very central. There was a lot of noise all hours of the night. People coming and going that kept waking us up.
- Rose (6/5): - Five star on location-the place was very convenient, in the center of Chinatown, walkable to Hawker Center, shopping, and MRT district lines. Two star-no elevator to third floor, room was really tiny, and the place can use a paint job and an upgrade on furniture.
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfy Bathroom are tiny
- Carol (6/5): - Property needs renovations and an elevator. Room was not cleaned and trash not taken out for two day stay
- Mangatas (9/5): Superb -
- Yogie (8/5): Overall is satisfy and valuable for money. - Great location with plenty of food options nearby, close to the MRT station, and easily accessible. Receptionist always helpful and friendly. This was our first experience with a capsule-style stay, and we booked a family suite. The room was narrow, and we kept accidentally bumping our heads when we weren’t paying attention.
- Michelle (6/5): Overall it was an ok stay. I would probably book the bigger room for the bigger bathroom next time. - The location was convenient as it was in the middle of Chinatown, near the station and multiple food centres. I also appreciate that the reception is available 24/7 for any question or request we may have. We liked that the hotel also provided drinking water (through a dispenser), which was badly needed throughout our stay in Singapore. We didn't realise that the rooms were in upper floors, and we had to go up 2 flights of stairs with 2 elderly family members. The bathroom in the Double Room also did not have a shower curtain, which resulted in water to flow out and overflow into the carpet. The team was kind enough to ensure the shower curtain was installed on Day 3, but even then, there was still some water seeping out.
- Jee (8/5): Very good -
- Hong (8/5): - Is easy to walk around and near to everything.
- Lestari (7/5): What you pay is what you get - Location near to mrt and just in the heart of china town
- Yonca (8/5): Very good -
- Yonette (6/5): TETRIS - That was like 6 adults living out of a closet.
There was no where to store our suitcases, so 1 bed was used as storage.
It was standing room only, like playing human tetris when it came time to move in the 6' x 2' walking area.
So cramped
- Helen (5/5): Don't take big suitcases, its smaller than you anticipate! - It was an experience, the room was clean We fixed the flush mechanism on the toilet, then after 1 day we noticed the shower was leaking. Found the use of mirrors to create space disorientating and feel the room could have been laid out better to maximise the space. For 4 adults (two older teens & 2 adults) I'm glad I booked a room for 6!
- Dae Sun (2/5): 벌레 - 작은 벌레들이 너무 많았습니다
- Maribel (7/5): Good - Liked the price, free snacks on day 1, mattress and distance to hawker centers; MRT station and shops Tight space for a group, no escalator or lift to help the guests with luggage, bathroom sink is way too little, some black mold looking on the walls.
- Jen (8/5): Fab location in the heart of Chinatown, great design. - Amazing location, perfect design. Not as clean as it could have been.
- Santiago (5/5): Good location - Good location and service Dripping drain all night that won’t let you sleep.
Your bags will stay out of the room in a locker.
- Ismael (6/5): - Walkable and convenient for local transportation. The bad? awful lightning in the room and no power outlets to connect phones or other gadgets overnight. Not even one close to the bed. I had to unplug the TV to use it to charge our phones overnight. But... It's cheap, almost no space in the rooms but if you'll be out most of the time it's manageable.
- Duong (8/5): Very good -
- Tanis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Antonio (2/5): - Accommodation is too expensive for a capsule hotel. Is not family friendly. And if you have big luggages there is no lift. We have to carry all our bags up to the 3rd floor. It is more of a backpacker not a family hotel. Not good for families. Won't be coming to this hotel again sorry to say.
- Sara (6/5): Noisey due to no sound proofing but good location - We paid the low end of the budget for a room in Singapore at $300 AUD a night. I know it’s the low end but for that price they need to maintain and update the rooms accordingly. The rooms were quite worn down and minor damaged seems to just be ignored.
The website advertised queen beds but when we arrive they were double. You can tell because when sharing with a small kid get constantly kicked in the back. The Queen beds certainly make a difference and it should be mentioned that they are double mattresses on a queen frame/space.
Sound was probably the biggest comfort issue. There is absolutely no sound proofing. The walls are made from some kind of hanging/sliding doors, when you open you door and the neighbour opens theirs it becomes adjoining rooms. Due to this you can hear everything. Like you wouldn’t even want to break wind due to the fear of being heard. Even soft adult voices are audible. We were lucky that our neighbours were also late to bed and late to rise. Kids made noise on both sides of the doors until 11pm and slept until around 9am, once one kid on either side woke up they all woke up, it was like the other kids were inside our room. We kept shushing our own kids and the neighbours shushed their kids. Obviously after a flight or big day out you don’t want the stress of having keep your kids quite in your own space. My husband thought the crying baby next door was ours. It would be a nightmare if you had different sleeping patterns to your neighbours.
- Maria (7/5): Good -
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Matthew (4/5): - The size of the cube family room is very deceptive in the photographs, too small. The staff was not helpful.
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (8/5): Wow... tight space! But great location! - A family of four, with two teenage boys, just barely fit in a family room. Two full beds, and two twins. It was tight, but OK once everyone got in their bed. But, it had an in-suite bathroom, which was fine. We wanted to experience a cube hotel, but have a private bath, and this place fit the bill. A great location in Chinatown, and there was plenty to see and do right out the door. We saw a family of six while we were there too, and they were all on speaking terms, so they must have liked it to, especially if they had the same size room as us! The check in/out procedure was fine and the staff was helpful. If it fits your budget, it's pretty good!
- JOAN (8/5): - Although the rooms were small, the hotel was located in a convenient location.
- Caitlin (8/5): Very good -
- Brad (8/5): - We stayed at Cube twice during our trip and found the rooms to be quite clean and tidy and suitable for a family of five. They are quite compact which is pretty much what you’d expect but have plenty of little compartments, charging points and room amenities. Good for a stay of a night or two. Be aware that there are a couple of flights of stairs if you have little kids or lots of suitcases.
Only negative was the awkward, painful check in process - should be easy with the app, but it doesn’t work very well and the desk person does nothing to help except hand you your room cards when you finally get through it.
- Laurent (5/5): Passable -
- Anastasia (4/5): Could have been better. - Location No elevator, not ideal for family with luggages, we were on the 3rd floor and the furthest corner with no window. Room was dusty. Staff was very unfriendly when she had to walk from the other CUBE branch.
- Angelica (8/5): Very good - Loved the location and the facilities provided. They also had a lot of unexpected services provided particularly for families with young kids. They had a bottle sterilizer, warmers, hot water dispenser and free snacks. Staff were also really friendly and accommodating. Bed size and heights were comfortable considering they are bunkbeds. How much smaller it is compared to photos on the site and there is not enough room to store several suitcases and the bathroom was pretty cramp.
- Dan (5/5): It's good for its price - Didn't know the room was so cramped!
The four bedroom one was good. The 6 bedroom one was way cramped for 5 people.
- John (8/5): Very good - It does have a superb location.
Hawkers stall just across the road.
"Surrounded" by establishments that aims to serve travellers. Busing or MRTing around major areas are just few stations away. (May be that's why the price can stay in mid high range). It is a on 2nd floor of the Town shop houses with no elevator. Going up and down with heavy luggage is not easy....
- Anna (7/5): Good -
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Leng (10/5): - It's a nice stay.
- Chanroth (4/5): Disappointing -
- Dan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rodilina (1/5): Bad - Staff not friendly
Bedroom space very very small
Not clean
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
