Guest Reviews
- Garnet (10/5): - Nice clean & reasonably priced to stay. I will stay here again if I’m in the area
- James (8/5): - Quiet and clean
- Tim (10/5): - Basic but clean.
- Joyce (10/5): - Our stay here was great, staff was very nice.Hotel was clean and comfy I only rated a 4 as I wish the beds weren’t so firm but I slept well.I would highly recommend this, stayed 2 nights.
- WILLIAM (10/5): - Awesome customer service!!!!
- Debra (4/5): - This Inn is very dated! Bed was terrible. You could see low spots in the mattress as son as you walked in the room. Worst bed I ever slept in!! Free breakfasts was an absolute joke!! Hard boiled eggs, toast and cereal. There aren’t many other options in the area where we stayed but I would try a different place if you could!!
- Tim (8/5): - It was a little noisy.
- Brad (8/5): - Relatively economical and clean. Friendly staff and convenient to highways. 4/12 stars!!
- Mark (10/5): - When we go to Keyser, this is are go to place. No frills, but genuinely a nice place to stay. The staff is always welcoming, and you can't beat the price.
- Colleen (10/5): - Great trip
- Mark (10/5): - The bathroom was immaculate. We usually see mildew or mold in hotel/motels when we are on the road, but not here!
- Roxann (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will stay there again
- Frank (8/5): - This is an older property, but it was good enough based on the cost. The mattresses and shower head in our room should be replaced, but they worked. I would not want an extended stay, but it was good for a few nights. It was quiet, safe, and clean. It was just not modern. It was a good stay for us.
- Charles (10/5): - From housekeeping to the front desk, everyone was so polite to my family and I. Easy parking and convenient to getting around the location.
- Harold L (6/5): - Being partially handicapped,it would have been nice to know that there was no elevator to second floor.
- James (10/5): - Clean room close to golf course
- James (10/5): - It was quiet and relxing
- James (10/5): - Clean room. Friendly staff. Would stay there again.
- Zachery or Emilee (8/5): - It could use some updating, but overall it was clean and convenient. Beds were old school, but comfy enough. AC worked great, and we froze ourselves to death lol. It was quiet, even though there’s a lot of stuff around which was nice.
- Nancy (10/5): - Easy to find, very clean, very quiet!
- Victoria (10/5): - Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Facilities are clean and welcoming
- Deborah (10/5): - Staff was personable and friendly. Could have used a few more outlets in the room.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Everything was well maintained.
- Stephanie (2/5): - Very old, kinda run down looking. Staff was kind but we had bugs in our room. We high tailed it out of there and found a hotel in maryland. Wasnt too far!
- Judith (10/5): -
- Rachael L (10/5): - Very nice little property use it every time we visit family, breakfast needs a little work
- Robert (8/5): - Nice place. Close to everything!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Place near College - The Keyser Inn was a wonderful place to stay while we were helping a college student move-in. It was convenient to the school and closeby other businesses often frequented on like that. It was very clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was with the water pressure in the shower, it was too low making it a bit of a challenge. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.
- Tracy (8/5): - The property was clean and exactly as described. A bit outdated perhaps but still fine.
- Amy (10/5): Very nice hotel - This hotel was clean
And cute. My room was spacious and quiet. Check in was very easy
- Abby (10/5): - Quiet and comfortable
- Maresa (10/5): Ann - Was amazing.
- Dorinda (10/5): - My 3rd time staying at Keyser Inn was fantastic! The non-smoking room, handicap accessible was great. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and VERY helpful especially when locating a shower chair for me to use. Had help
- Christopher (10/5): - The rooms are nicely furnished. The maids keep the rooms nice and clean as well.
- Richard (8/5): Just a stop by - We were extremely pleased with our room
- Gregory (10/5): - I didn't like the trash truck arriving at 3AM to load the trash...both days i was their
- Su Ssu (10/5): - Staff was nice and friendly. Room was clean. I will come back in the Fall time. I like there. Feel safe and comfortable.
- Charlotte (8/5): Room price great -- breakfast not so much - Close to the event we were attending (Potomac Eagle train ride). Personally like a harder mattress and firmer pillows; excellent cleanliness throughout. Would prefer the squeeze bottle of shampoo and soap that other hotels are now installing (shower AND tub) -- little slivers of soap just don't cut it. Also, very weak coffee; only orange juice (not apple too) and no fresh fruit. But a "free continental" breakfast is what you "pay for" so it was minimal, at best. The price of the room, however, can't be beat.
- Thomas (10/5): - Lite did not work between beds.
- Tim (6/5): - The folks at Keyser Inn are nice but the facility is aging. Our room was extremely damp. The breakfast is not good at all.
- Cynthia (8/5): - It was a nice, the only thing we were in a room that the laundry room was right next door we could hear the dryer going. I thought it was a train.
- Pat (6/5): - Very worn. Needs new pillows and towels
- Robert (10/5): - Very quiet, clean and affordable. Staff was very helpful directing us to a place for dinner and made check-in a breeze! Loved the continental breakfast!
- Cheryl (10/5): - Older property but very clean. Great service all the way around!!
- Jen (10/5): - We were attending a wedding and it was our halfway point. It was very convenient and clean.
- Pamela (8/5): No Elevator!! - It was a nice place, but did NOT have an elevator. If that was in hotels.com I missed it. I did not like having to carry my suitcases upstairs because i am handicapped, and was offered no help. But the staff was nice. The rooms were very dated. My husband said he felt like he was sleeping on the floor, and one side of the bed was too close to the wall to get around. My husband had to crawl over the bed.
- Dave (8/5): - Room was clean, staff was helpful. No elevator was disappointing making bringing luggage in difficult. The continental breakfast was limited.
- Diane (10/5): - It was very clean, friendly and quiet.
- Alan (10/5): - Great room, good value for the money. The Continental breakfast could have been a little more elaborate.
- Pat (6/5): - Property is old and in need of upgrades. But the price was great.
- Jennifer (10/5): Friendly and comfortable - Keyser Inn has always been my go to hotel for quick trips back home to WV. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Upon check in we discovered we had two queens vs the king I booked, and they were so apologetic and worried it would ruin our trip. For a one night stay I assured them it was not a problem. They even offered us a discount upon checkout for the mix up and it really wasn't necessary but was appreciated. The rooms may be a little dated, but they are always clean, and the beds are comfortable. Give Keyser Inn a try if in the area!
- Hopka (8/5): - Nice staff, cosy room. Definitely recommended for a short stay.
- Naomi (10/5): - Very clean, easy to find. Location excellent.
- Harry (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Jerry (10/5): - Great place to stay! Very clean.
- Daniel (10/5): - As a retired maintenance director for 2 Choice Gold Award properties, I found the Keyser Inn an excellent property considering it's age and location. My wife and I had a great stay with no issues and the staff were perfect. Due to my background and being very detailed, I score these surveys a little rough but I would stay at the Keyser Inn anytime. Thanks again to all!!
- David (10/5): - The place was very clean and it was a good price they had a small breakfast and it was good
- ALEXANDER (8/5): - Pros:
- conveniently located;
- spacial room with everything needed in it, including a fridge and a microwave;
-very friendly staff!
In general, this hotel is a very good value for the rate.
Cons:
- cleaning is not regular (not every day);
- there is no mirror easily accessible (only deeply positioned in a bath room); inconvenient for short seeing customers;
- windows are locked, no way to open;
-a bath tub has no security handles, mats, etc. It is risky for the elderly people to use it;
- a plumbing issue is not addressed at the same day (reported clogged sink but it remained to be in the same condition on the following day).
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - No bells and whistles but if you need a place to crash, this will meet your needs. They do offer a complimentary breakfast but we didn’t partake. There are NO elevators so keep that in mind if you’re not able to handle stairs easily and you get roomed on the 2nd or 3rd floor.
- Walter (6/5): - Staff were friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast gives the word continental new meaning, not good.
- Thomas (8/5): - friendly staff, but getting room on 2nd floor for retired folks is kinda' hard.
- Rasa (10/5): - The staff were very welcoming and friendly and everything was very clean.
- Kelia (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating to my requests upon booking! The staff and their guests were all very friendly and welcoming! Would most certainly stay there again! Super quiet and peaceful motel! The rooms were very clean and stocked with plenty of towels and wash cloths. All around a very comfortable and affordable motel!
- Melanie (8/5): - Smelled heavily of weed when we walked in the door. Bathtub plug didnt work. Alarm clock didnt work. Breakfast was a little meager. However, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was pleasant and helpful.
- Carl (10/5): - Easy access, clean, friendly and comfortable
- Ruth (8/5): - This is a budget hotel, but an excellent value for your dollar. We stayed here with friends prior to taking the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad trip. The room is basic but clean and everything you need is there including a microwave and refrigerator, a good shower, and reasonably comfortable beds. Breakfast is Continental as advertised, but there are hard boiled eggs for protein. Some items were not quickly restocked in the breakfast room, but a simple request at the desk and they were cheerfully refilled. The desk clerk is also covering the breakfast area and that keeps her busy. All of the staff were so pleasant and helpful.
Although our stay was not luxurious it was entirely satisfactory, met our needs, and we will definitely stay there again if we decide to do another train ride.
- Rob (10/5): - The two issues I had are:
1. Room 120 is so close to the front door you can hear the smokers talking all night.
2. At 05:30 a guest was ringing the front desk bell for twenty minutes before someone answered. Also could hear from room 120 (woke me up and could not go back to sleep).
- Bryan (8/5): - Breakfast was very limited. Suggestion, go to breakfast when it first opens to get the best selection.
- Duane (8/5): - Quite and comfortable
- Melinda (10/5): - The room was very clean and close to town. The staff was very nice. Would have been nice to have eggs or pancakes for breakfast , but a great place to stay.
- Thomas (6/5): - It was not convenient to not have an elevator. The breakfast was unimpressive. The bathtub/jacuzzi was nice
- Lori (10/5): Great place for family - Room was very clean. Loved that we got daily housekeeping service. Breakfast was not huge but we made it work.
- Christine (10/5): - We always enjoy stopping in at the Keyser Inn. The place is clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and available for any need a traveler might have. We appreciate the quiet and the reasonable prices, too.
- ansar (2/5): - Staff is racial
- Debbie (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable stay.
- Alyson (10/5): - This property was a great bang for your buck. It is clean and the staff are friendly. It was a convenient location in Keyser. I definitely recommend this location. I stayed for 3 nights. I was up for the North Branch release and the hotel has a laundry room which was an added bonus!!
- Mary (10/5): A Great Value - Keyser Inn is plenty nice and a great value. We love that there are hard-boiled eggs at breakfast. It's not fancy, but it's clean and pleasant.
- Kathy (10/5): - Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Competitive price.
- Brian (8/5): - Standard hotel room, very clean, friendly staff, new hvac units. It's a little dated but they have great rates
- Janet (10/5): Really nice hotel - It was an easy check in. Room was great. Every thing we needed was in there. Very clean. Hallways, breakfast room, and outside were all clean which is the most important to me. We enjoyed our stay.
- Chris (8/5): - Great !!
- Kathryn (10/5): - Was hoping for a bit more options for breakfast, but there was a Sheetz next door, so it was ok
- Stacey (10/5): Awesome stay - Wonderful experience
- Rosalyn (8/5): - Clean, friendly, affordable.
- Berinthia (8/5): - My experience only....you come in...mind your own business. They mind theirs. All. good. The morning breakfast leaves a lot to be deired. Bottom line
.i received what i expected and paid for.
- Beverly (10/5): - My friend and I are both disabled. We couldn't carry our luggage upstairs or downstairs. The desk clerk and a very nice customer carried our bAGGAGE upstairs for us. This morning the desk clerk and the cleaning staff helped us get the luggage back in the car. None of the hotel employees nor the customer would take any pay. We really appreciated their help. We enjoyed our stay. You really need an elevator.
- david (8/5): - Clean, comfortable, modern property. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast choices very limited, sub par.
- Aliza (10/5): - Excellent place to stay
- Michael (4/5): - Not very clean. Bad carpet.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pleasant but - Place was pleasant and quiet. Rooms were clean. Hotel is I’m sore need of updating. Lighting is like being in a hospital—not very warm or welcoming. Carpets need to be changed out. Mattresses need to changed out too. Ours was caving in the middle. Water pressure was great.
It was also nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room!
- Marissa (10/5): - Very friendly. Rooms comfortable and clean.
- Teresa (10/5): - Bed was comfortable room was clean staff was friendly. They have breakfast in the morning
- Fred (10/5): - Independent, standalone hotel nice place to stay
- Donald (8/5): - Nice place for the price. Bed did not give good support.
- Jean (6/5): - These place needs some repairs ,however the staff is very friendly
- Jonathan (8/5): - Check in was quick and easy. Room looked clean and comfortable.
- Eva (8/5): - It was a good stay. We went to visit family. I just didn't like the idea of taking my dog out to potty in the back and then had to walk all the way around front to get back in. Although They accomodated my service dog and the pet room was clean and smelled fine.
- BRE (10/5): - Unique was the “downhome” atmosphere.
Unique was the consideration shown for my emotional support dog.
Unique was the friendliness & helpfulness of the ENTIRE staff!
From front desk to housekeeping—Amazing!❤️
- Jimmy (6/5): Old people problems - They put a 65 year old man with mobility problems, upstairs at the end of the hall. To bring in property from parking lot took 3 trips, very difficult for me. In room coffee maker was not sanitary, and condiment packets were open and missing items.
- Nancy (10/5): - Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. Security cameras in multiple locations and monitored at the front desk. I would stay here again if in the area.
