Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not worth it. - This is a hard review to write. The “inn” is a renovated motel; ok room but no closet ( just a rod), small bathroom, well tended grounds, lovely pool. Quiet. Breakfast was good, but there was no coffee the first morning, due to a “delivery” issue. Seemed we were the only guests too. We never met a staff person - no need to check in, the room doors was left open and the keys on the table. No housekeeping unless you texted and specifically asked for it. We never actually saw anyone connected to the inn except for when we found our bathroom floor flooded after returning for the day and had to call for help, since if you needed anything, you were advised to send a text or call a number hanging on a sign by the office door. We had to call twice, and we did get responses pretty quickly. We ended up having to move rooms after the bathroom floor flood.Would we stay there again? Probably not, considering all the other options on the Cape.
- Caitlin (6/5): Price doesn’t match the stay - Allen Harbor Inn is a cute, well situated hotel/motel. The room was clean and the owner is very kind and helpful. Restaurants and beaches are a very short drive away. The owners note in their guide that town is walkable but I wouldn’t say so. It’s about a mile away which is kind of a trek to go out to dinner in my opinion and I’m young.
All this being said, for the price per night I expected a bit more. Breakfast was just okay (bagels, yogurt, and pastries) and the wifi in our room didn’t work our whole stay. I feel like in 2021 wifi is a given so I’m disappointed that it was never fixed.
If you’re comfortable with the price I’d say this is a great find but all in all I wish we either spent more and went somewhere really nice or spent less and knew what to expect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Allen Harbor Breeze Inn was wonderful. The room was excellent and the grounds were beautifully landscaped.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful staff, courteous, friendly and professional. Delicious breakfasts!
- Dimitrios (10/5): - Amazing experience and very affordable. Delicious breakfast and very helpful hosts. The rooms were clean and beautiful with very comfortable beds. Highly recommended.
- Sara (10/5): A lovely haven. - We were made to feel so welcome by Flora. Our room was charming and the homemade breakfast in the morning was delicious. The swimming pool was great and the offer of a glass of wine sitting in the sun after a swim made it all the more special. Thank you to David and Mimi also, you make a great team.
- Jo (10/5): - Lovely friendly Inn. Staff welcoming and helpful.
- Ann (10/5): - We had such a lovely stay here. The staff are so nice, the grounds well kept, and rooms very clean. As a nursing mom, it was helpful to have the refrigerator in the room. The location of the hotel is great-just a 10 minute walk to the beach and super short drive to the downtown area. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a beach town getaway!
- He (10/5): nice - cozy stay

- Verified traveler (10/5): - It's not often I can leave a 5 star review but this family run establishment was spot on. Beautiful property, comfy room (we had the Captain Suite), lovely staff and delicious fresh breakfasts.
- Carrie (10/5): - Our stay at the Inn was exceptional! Flora and Fiona made us feel like family and were extremely helpful! The scones were incredible and we also enjoyed the wine each night! Our stay there was the perfect way to celebrate our tenth anniversary and experience the Cape and Nantucket!
- Rebecca (10/5): nice two night stay - Adorable, family-run B&B with lovely grounds. Close to beaches and restaurants.
- CarolynBarousse (10/5): - The inn was charming! The hostess, Flora, was delightful and was very helpful in providing names and directions to interesting places during our stay. She was very accommodating. And, the breakfast was delicious, especially the scones, baked by her daughter. Would definitely recommend the inn to others!
- Valerie (10/5): - You are treated like family by a most wonderful family!
- Dedede (10/5): - Stay Here! This inn is fabulous and it does have a nice breeze when you sit outside. Beautiful gardens, immaculate rooms, wonderful hosts and the best scones for breakfast. I thought I didn’t like scones, I was wrong. Fiona’s are so good along with blueberry pudding. It’s like staying with family, only better. This family can bake and garden.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fresh baked Scottish scones. Clean lovely pool. Wonderful hosts.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. Staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
- Rebecca (10/5): Excellent Stay! - Our stay at the Inn was excellent! Our room was incredibly clean and comfortable. We ended up having a lobster bake and we needed recommendations on where to purchase lobsters. We asked Flora, the owner, and she went above and beyond, even calling multiple places to compare prices. Breakfast was also amazing. We will definitely be staying here again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A comfortable, friendly and quiet retreat during s busy wedding weekend. Lovely breakfast including freshly baked scones and plenty of fresh fruit. It was a hot weekend, so we enjoyed using the pool. This inn has a homey, welcoming atmosphere. We would certainly stay here again.

- Claudette (10/5): Best B&B ever!!! - Staying at Allen Harbor Breeze was fantastic!!! Flora's hospitality and attention to every detail made our weekend perfect! Not only do I highly recommend this beautiful B&B, I can't wait to come back!!
- Denise (10/5): - Really quaint hotel. The owner and staff really make this place special. The breakfast is fabulous with really great quality food. It is a great location to get to some really nice places to shop and explore. Nice area for a morning walk to the beach which right across the street basically. We loved our stay here. Thank you Flora.
- Nina (10/5): - Lovely inn with great hospitality and fantastic scones!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Complementary wine in early evening, scones for breakfast, friendly staff, great location.
- Sharon (8/5): - GREAT experience and place! Flora (owner) is so sweet and sociable and welcoming! Her daughter, Fiona, is exactly the same and makes the BEST SCONES! Definitely buy some for the road! The grounds and area is great and convenient. We had the Cathedral room and it was clean and bright and perfect for our family of 4. Pool was a tad cold but it didn't stop the kids! Short walk to the beach or harbor (right across the street). We would definitely stay again and would recommend.
- Bob (8/5): Harwichport Inn - close to the beach - This property was recently purchased about a year ago by the new owners who had a bigger property and a restaurant in the area. They have made significant upgrades to the rooms in terms of bedding, carpet and amenities with plans to expand the bathrooms further over the year ahead. Owners are lovely people and could not be more accommodating. Fresh baked goods every morning and Scottish scones for sale for people outside of the property.
Not a room with a view - but affordable, clean and comfortable and the gardens on the property are lovely. Good choice at a decent price.
- Thomas (8/5): A quiet respite! - Went off season (fall) and totally enjoyed our stay at this delightful little spot. Owner was more than gracious, room was immaculate and the location was peaceful and convenient. Would love to see the gardens in full bloom in the spring / summer!
- Bob (10/5): Great B&B - Great B&B that satisfied all our expectations of location, price, staff, and nice comfortable room. The owner, Flora, was very nice, as well as all the staff we encountered. The location afforded us access to good shopping, good restaurants, and easy access to a beach. Will definitely consider staying here on future trips to the Cape.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Center location to many towns on cape cod - The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area has a kitchen which is very handy for families vacationing with kids.
- JB (10/5): Friendly place - Excellent place to stay at. The owner and staff are superfriendly.
Fresh baked scones in the morning for breakfast, a nice pool and spacious room.
Walking distance from downtown and ferry to Nantucket.
Upon request they have dairy alternatives to milk.
- Tiffany (8/5): Very nice, well budgeted hotel, staff frienfly. - This Inn was great price, well priced compared to other Inns in the neighborhood. Very clean rooms and very nice staff! I would definitely stay here again during high season.
- Edward (8/5): Great place to relax - The room was good size and clean. The bathroom was clean but the shower was dated. The breakfast was a 7 on a scale of 10. The pool should have open at 9 instead of 10. It is located in a great spot for things to do.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staying here was a great decision! Everyone was so friendly and the room was clean and cozy. It was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent stay, close to town and beaches. - This inn is a real gem close to town and the beach. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are not fancy but clean and neat. Grounds and landscaping are impeccable. Only two comments, skip the breakfast and go to Buckies in town and unit #6 is a wifi black hole. Otherwise we would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommend - Comfortable, cozy and clean. Easy walk to beach and shops. Convenient to other Cape destinations. Wonderful hosts and hospitality. Breakfast was perfect.
- Tony (10/5): Home away from home - From the minute we arrived at the Allen Harbor Breeze Inn & Gardens to the time we checked out four days later, our stay was so incredibly enjoyable and comfortable that it almost felt like we brought our home with us on vacation. The proprietors could not have been more friendly, the breakfasts were a wonderful and tasty way to start each day and the grounds, guests rooms and breakfast area were meticulous and well groomed. I have authored two books titled "Hidden Treasures of the Hudson Valley" and if was writing one on the ideal "hidden treasure" in lodging, Allen Harbor Breeze Inn & Gardens would be the best of the bunch. We travel extensively and found this establishment to be THE BEST that we have ever experienced. despite the highest rating allowed being a "5," this inn should be rated a strong "10" or better.
- Julie (8/5): Girls stay - Breakfast was a little on the light side. Would've enjoyed some more proteins, like eggs, bacon, sausage.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Absolutely loved this bed and breakfast! - We can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. Beautiful, delicious continental breakfast, great location and wonderful customer service. Along with all of that, it was IMMACULATELY CLEAN. It was our anniversary and the inkeepers left us a beautiful little note card wishing us a happy anniversary and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. So kind and a very nice touch!
- David (8/5): Quaint charm - We loved the location, the facility, the friendliness of the staff and even the simple bit delicious breakfast. The only thing we would've liked better would've been a larger bathroom.
- Rick (10/5): Celebrating birthdays on the Cape - Stayed three nights in May(17-20). Checked in and were offered freshly baked cookies(different every day we were here). Small fridge and free toiletries in room. Room was neat and well maintained for an older facility. Grounds were quite nice for this time of the year, I can just imagine what it would look like with everything in full bloom. Breakfast was available from 8:30 - 9:45, with a different freshly baked product every morning. Small pool out back would be quite welcoming in warmer weather. Very quiet and relaxing, close to many great restaurants and beaches, with very friendly and helpful owners. Came back one night to find chocolate covered strawberries and a note " Happy-Happy Birthdays"
from Jim and Marie, the owners. Would recommend to anyone looking for a small and quiet place to get away to for a few days. Am looking forward to booking again next year!
- Pete and Roz (10/5): Perfect location for rest and relaxation - We had such a wonderful time. The hosts, Jim and Marie, went out of their way to make you feel at home. Morning continental breakfast awaited us before the start of our day. Can't wait to stay there again.
- Maryann (10/5): Charming B&B in a great setting - The Inn had an English garden setting and was very charming. The rooms and staff were wonderful. Breakfast was homemade and delicious!
- Dianne (10/5): Convenient and clean - Great central location to visit Cape Cod. If you enjoy staying at bed and breakfasts, you'll like staying here.
