Vừa đến nơi thì cô gth ngay cho mình những chỗ nổi mà gần home rồi lúc tối mình về sớm quá thì chú bv lại chỉ mình những chỗ để mình biết thêm mà đi kiểu vậy
- Cicely (3/5): Awful - Good location, the owner was friendly and let us check in early (for a fee) in the morning after our sleeper bus. After being out in the day with our friends and coming back at 10 or 11pm we had to unlock the noisy metal courtyard gates and front door, which weren’t easy and incredibly loud. You’re then met by a family member sleeping right in front of the door (which you obviously wake up). Not the end of the world but just makes you feel a little uncomfortable staying out beyond about 10pm.
Long story short we then realised there were bed bugs, not a few, absolutely loads, big ones and tiny ones all over. Luckily when leaving our bags there earlier in the day we didn’t leave our bags or belongings on the bed and had left them on the chairs opposite. But I still felt extremely uncomfortable and dirty. Apart from that the bed sheets had bloody stains (obviously from dead bugs), the white towels had yellow stains on them and looked generally like they hadn’t been washed at all and the bathroom was dirty, the toilet had someone else’s hair all down the back of the seat when we got there. I don’t expect anything pristine when backpacking and using hostels and home stays but this really wasn’t good.
I contacted the lady and she did reply a little later but was clearly asleep, and so we decided to wait until morning to check out as we wanted to make sure to get a refund and also we wouldn’t have had anywhere else to sleep. My partner and I waited up all night till 5am to get a refund and check out, we did get a refund but minus one night. Which I did think was a bit cheeky considering the circumstances. But I just wanted to get out. I must note the woman did offer us another room at the time and to also stay at another place she owns. However after that I wanted to just go elsewhere.
Also side note, the room we booked was an ajoining room which isn’t mentioned on booking.com, not great, we could hear absolutely everything from the guy on the other side.

- MARIE (10/5): Super - Accueil et conseils super. Aide pour les réservations. Chambre spacieuse et propre. Proche de la vieille ville. Rue animée mais calme. Ras
- lisia (8/5): Goed verblijf gehad!

- Thiri (5/5): Good location and reasonable price - Location Refrigerator not fresh. At least it should include water bottle for each.
- Megan (10/5): A lovely stay in Hoi An’s old town - This is our second time staying here and we loved it just as much the second time! The rooms are clean and spacious, and the air-con works very well. The owners are kind and friendly. Would highly recommend!
- Mercer (10/5): nicest people, nicest room - lovely place, lovely family, lovely atmosphere i loved it all
- Chen (9/5): Super good - Location is a super, close to the center of Hoi An,actually it is the center,20steps to find cuisines of local, can Lao,mi quang, phi, chicken rice, and roast pork ribs with rice, coffee,oh !too good to be truth, and super dentist,I wasn’t able to complete treatment as times limits:but services&skills are non compromise to their charges, equal to Japan standard, filling no more than 350.000,oh!my god, enjoy, folks,a dream city!a super honesty! Nothing
- Thomas (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything! Turned up to a locked gate to show my booking. A man came outside and sent me on my way…. I thought I had the wrong address. After confirming the adress I went back for the man to show me the way out again. Then a woman came and told my they’d oversold and there was no room for me and my partner, at 11pm. Then, to make it worse, they tried telling booking.com I didn’t turn up so they could claim the money.
Reported, avoid, awful
- Shani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariam (9/5): Superb -
- Miki (10/5): Exceptional - Room was very spacious, very big and comfortable bed, good hot water in the shower, and quiet. Good location too! Wifi was incredibly fast.
- Cinta (1/5): I don't recommend this place, is dirty and the host very rude - Location but all the rest was horrible Nothing, the host was very rude and the rooms dirty
- Nur (10/5): Exceptional. - Clean. Near to city centre by walking 10 mins. Friendly owner. Nothing
- Ezrachi (9/5): Superb -
- Yitshak (7/5): Good - The place is clean cheap and very close to the center of Hoi an 10 min walk. They have a very nice laundry service. The room for 3 had one big bed and another single bed. The shower was big. Everytime we came to the room we had to walk through the living room and a member of the family was sleeping there. They always was very strict about keeping quite.
- Olzhas (10/5): Good place to stay in Hoian - What was good in Hoi An Viet House Homestay:
- fantastic location: 5-10 minutes of walking distance to Old town and sightseeing places, massage salons, shops, cafés, pharmacy and ATM was 1-5 minutes of walking distance from homestay
- clean bed with towel and extra blanket have been provided
- there was air conditioner and window in my room
- free wi-fi internet worked very well
- shared electric kettle is in the hallway
- shared bathroom with toilet and shower for one person use only
- they have own café, if I understood correctly from seeing tables and chairs in front of the house
- homestay is the same as in booking.com pictures
- homestay team (aunties and uncle) can organize sightseeing tours, bus and train tickets for travelers. I bought my bus ticket to Phan Thiet from them.
Interesting nuance in Hoi An Viet House Homestay:
- I couldn’t lock bathroom door while I was using toilet or taking shower. Door lock didn't work. Bathroom door is made of frosted glass and I assume you can see silhouette of the person in the shower/toilet. But it didn't bother me at all.
Overall, if you are not picky and want to be close to the Old town, this is a good place to stay. I liked everything. Carpet in the bedroom floor and hallway would be much appreciated as home has NO SHOE INSIDE policy and tile floor was very cold.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Very warm, friendly and helpful family.
Great place to stay if you are on a budget.
It's only a 10 minute walk to the old center.
There are a lot of good restaurants right around the corner. They have a noisy water pump which gets switched off at night so you can sleep.
However, it does get switched back on at 05:30am in the morning, the sound wakes you up for an early start of the day.
- Fabian (6/5): Pleasant - The old man was nice letting us in and showing us around. For us it was ok to stay here for a quick over nighter but wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay. The lady speaking English was not so friendly in the way how she greeted us. We arrived at 10pm so fairly late but check in is till 11pm she seemed unhappy about that. Our bed was not clean neither our towels. Maybe it was washed but definitely a fair amount of stains that made us uncomfortable.
- Garoufalia (7/5): Good -
- Buse (10/5): Best place in Hoi An - The place is within walking distance of the very crowded tourist center and on a quiet street. A great place to relax after a long day. The owner of the business was very helpful in everything. We rented a motorbike, booked transportation to the airport, everything went smoothly. We extended our stay for 2 more nights and were able to rest very comfortably in the middle of a long trip. thank you
- Will (10/5): Great place, great location, great price ! - Everything Nothing
- Stijn (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff, they helped us with everything and she spoke English very well! Would recommend! The room wasn't the cleanest
- Dušan (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice place with lots of supplementary services!
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (10/5): Happy homestay in Hoi An - This was a lovely homestay in the heart of Hoi An’s old town. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, comfy, and clean!
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Love this place, highly recommended. - What a fantastic place. Thanh was an exceptional host, provided everything that we needed. The bed was so comfortable that we want to take it everywhere. We had an extra night here, a fantastic place to relax for a few days after 7 months on the road. Loved everything here. Nothing, the place is perfect.
- Amylialee (5/5): Passable -
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional - Staff lovely, great location, lovely place
- Maelig (9/5): Superb - A nice place, clean and comfortable.
- Maddy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Panagiotis (8/5): Very good - Very spacious and comfortable room, really close by the old town in Hoi An.
- Giang (8/5): Very good -
- Alizée (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (7/5): Great location, lovely family - Great location for exploring the old town and also good for the beach area - we cycled from the property. Van and her family are so welcoming and kind - they will help with anything and have great recommendations. They even did our laundry which came back smelling so fresh! The vegetarian restaurant a few minutes down the street is also worth stopping at if that’s your thing. Delicious! Unfortunately our bathroom had seen better days and just needed a really good scrub. Also there were some old stains on our bedding. But for the price we paid we didn’t complain
- Sinclair (10/5): Amazing - The staff was amazing and so helpful booking trips and transfers for us as well as doing our washing. The property was ideal the beds were so comfy and the rooms so nice and quiet. It’s slightly out of the old town which we preferred as it was quiet but only a quick 10 min walk into the main old town. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing really, few ants in the bathroom but that’s to be expected.
- Jeanette (6/5): Pleasant - The location was good Crammed room! Was not serviced - the bins were not cleaned. The basin was blocked and when asked to fix it we were told that we were to deposit our toilet paper in the bin - can you imagine not clearing the bin for 4 days!
- Vicky (7/5): Good - The location was good, near the center of the city The owner charged us for early check in and the room was not already cleaned when we entered.
Also, she sold us tickets for the coconut village for the lowest price as she told us, but when we got there, the price was lower than what we had paid.
- W (4/5): Not faithful in advertising - Near to ancient city The check in/check out time is misleading. The owner must change this to reflects the truth
- Karen (10/5): A beautiful spacious and clean room, perfect location, Van and her family were so welcoming and helpful, we extended our - A beautiful spacious and clean room, perfect location, Van and her family were so welcoming and helpful, we extended our stay by another 2 nights to 6 nights in total because we were having such a nice time! Can’t recommend staying here enough for your trip to Hoi An ❤️
- Ellie (9/5): Very good value for money and overall great stay - would recommend - WiFi was excellent
Aircon in room
Big spacious room
Comfy room
Warm shower is required
Staff accommodated for transport, tours etc
Drinks and snacks available
Friendly staff
Good location
Offered to clean the room everyday
Allowed early checkin (for a price of course) Couple cockroaches in the room
We were on the bottom floor so could hear the staff chatting/shouting from early hours
Also noise from the street
These weren’t massive issues as we usually go to bed early enough
Staff were very keen on offering tours every time we spoke
- Thu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Williams (10/5): Wonderful homestay. - We had a brilliant stay. The owner Thanh was incredibly helpful and very friendly. She arranged tours and laundry for us. The family room was spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend.
- Anna (8/5): Very good - The room was clean and good. Also they provide towels, shampoo and body wash. Position is great In the room there are few botte of water, usually is always free at least 2 small water. So we drink it. When we did the check out they charged extra 7000 dong for one water. When we say that we thought it was free they started to shout at us. I just suggest to put a bigger label with the rules. This is not hospitality, im sorry, you can not shout at people just for one suggestion.
- Soto (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was so friendly and helpful. We really enjoy our stay.
- Bevan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maximus (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (10/5): Great experience - We had an amazing time at Chan’s family hotel and can’t wait to come back! The rooms were very comfortable and clean with great mattresses. The AC was also reliable and strong in the humid weather.
- Roberto (9/5): Superb -
- Hang (8/5): Very good -
- Raquel (3/5): Ruined Hoi An for us. - The bakery in front was very good, the location was nice and the wi-fi worked properly. What seemed like a friendly host at first, quickly turned into an intrusive one. Kept trying to sell us additional services, even after we denied them more than once. It got to the point in which she went after us on the street, riding her motorcycle, to try to convince us to do the laundry with her. To top it off, she charged us for the complimentary water bottles that they leave in room for guests to drink when checking in (and didn't warn us previously they would be charged). The worst part was that there's no hot water in the morning, the mattresses were uncomfortable and the room smelled a lot like mold, to the point that we got sick and spent our days with allergies and headaches. Literally smelled like the room hadn't seen fresh air in weeks. I'd recommend staying away from this health hazard.
- Alonso (8/5): Very good - The staff are very nice and accomodating, Thanh (I think she’s the owner) is so easy to talk to, she can accomodate all of your traveller needs that be food, tours, buses, even a good conversation. Value for money is very very good. This is more advice for the owners, some hand soap in the toilets would be nice
- Magda (3/5): Poor - / As soon as I came, they try to sell me trips, workshops, bike rental..
Mattress is old, sheets with holes, towels like rugs, no blanket.
Owners/stuff are yelling before 8am completely inconsiderate about the guests, so it was impossible to sleep late and old grampa is yawing 24h a day, I felt like in hospice.
- Logan (10/5): Excellent location and friendly staff :) - Great location and nice, clean room. Everything you want to see in Hoi an was within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they have a lot of suggestions for good tailors and organise tours to other sites. The room itself was comfortable and had plenty of space.
- Shon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alessia (10/5): Exceptional - Big, clean room. Staff is super helpful and friendly :) -
- Hannah (10/5): We had a lovely time here, would highly recommend! Such accommodating hosts! - Really fab location and friendly hosts, every need was met. Lots of opportunities for trips at reduced prices.
