BUT the room service was terrible: in our four nights, the room was only cleaned once until we came back to our room shortly before dinner (we always went out from breakfast to dinner, so like in any other hotel we expected the room to be cleaned during that period).

Tuvimos una incidencia durante el viaje y nos solucionaron ellos el problema de forma eficaz y rápida. Habitaciones confortables y amplias, muy cómodas. Localización perfecta, al lado de una parada de metro que conecta con tres líneas de metro y entrada al Kremlin a cinco minutos caminando. Sin duda la combinación de instalaciones, localización y personal hicieron que nuestra estancia fuese perfecta. Muy agradecidos con el hotel por su forma de trabajar. - Charlotte (8/5): - Really good lokation and friendly and helpfull staff. The room was really small and the bed was not good. However, the overall inpresion os good. I will recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the middle of the city at a fair cost.
- Frazer (10/5): Excellent option - Great location just around the corner from the Kremlin and 100m from the metro. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. Although on a busy street, the traffic noise was not audible inside the room due to the double-double glazing. Didn't try the breakfast or the restaurant. An excellent mid-range option; I can't think of any negatives for this hotel.

The location of the hotel also nice and safe location, walkable to red squre, Gum, Kremlin and metro. No concerned about my trip.
- Brian R (8/5): Moscow Hotel Review - The hotel itself was smaller than I expected. It was located on a very busy street, and nothing was nearby ie convenience store, or courtyard. One rather nice restaurant was very close, and we ate dinner there twice. On the plus side, it was very close to Red Square, and the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, other nearby attractions.

- Jing Yuan (8/5): Still a good hotel to stay - We stayed for 4 days and three nights, we like its location very much, room is clean, but it is not equipped with a refrigerator and dose not have an electrical teapot as most of Europe hotels we had stayed. Reception desk people willing to help but they do not speak good enough English (Well, most of Russian people do not understand and do not speak English at all, that's the most difficult part of the trip). It has nice buffer breakfast. Near by has a underground grocery store and a very nice Russia restarter. It's still a good hotel to stay if you could understand a little Russian.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Fantastic Location - Fantastic location to visit all the key sights of Moscow around the Kremlin and Red Square. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful with most having a good level of English proficiency. Cafe and bar are OK but the room decor was a little old. Unfortunately our room smelt bad - I think it was because it might have been a smoking room before they banned smoking throughout the entire hotel.

The girls at desk spoke some English which was important as our first time in Russia. - Kevin (8/5): Good hotel/convenient location - The hotel is easy to find, and arrival was quick and easy. The do registration, but take several hours to return passports. Overall, the hotel was clean. There was no "daily housekeeping." Our room was member touched after arrival. The hotel is just 1 block away from the Kremlin, so it makes for convenient tours and night time walks in the park. Arbat, the main shopping street area is within a 10 minute walk. They also have free parking.

- Nancy (10/5): Location is everything - The staff was overwhelmingly helpful. And the location, the building backs on to a park which runs in front of the Kremlin and Red Square. And a walk away from the river. And the most amazing Russian restaurant, open 24 hours next door. The surprise was, nobody knew where this hotel was because it is a massive building with just a door and a small plaque showing the name of the hotel. amusing.
- Ian (10/5): Terrific central location and good value - Stayed here 3 nights in June. Had quiet room at back from which we could see the Kremlin.Is very close to metro station Biblioteka Lenina but can be difficult to find the correct exit at this large and busy station. Tip: look for a small exit opposite Moscow Manege then turn left and left again. Room had air con and own bathroom but no fridge or electric kettle,but hot (and cold) water was available from a machine on the ground. Furnishings were in keeping with the building style and adequate. Double bend was comfortable. Wi fi was good and staff were helpful and spoke good English. Really enjoyed being so close to Kremlin, Red Square and other sights that was easy to go there at several different times of the day. Did not have any meals there so unable to comment on them.

This hotel has an amazing location, a few steps away from the Kremlin museums and Alexendrovski Garden, Red Square, theaters, museums, restaurants, and metro stations connecting multiple lines. 24 h help desk with very attentive and caring staff, very nice restaurant with breakfast buffet on site. The hotel is nice, comfortable and clean, in a historical nicely renovated building, in a very interesting and safe location.
- Verified traveler (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - This hotel is a scam. They lie and try to cheat you. If they tell you that breakfast is inclusive, they'll most likely charge you at check out like they did us. Lacks principle and are incompetent at giving valid information.

- Amber (10/5): Excellent location 5* plus - Beautiful quant holiday located just off Red Square and a two minute walk to the Metro. The rooms are beautifully kept in line with Red Square and the surroundings. Spotlessly kept rooms with a shower to die for. The heating was on constantly which is a bonus as it was very cold outside. The breakfast us great value and they serve up until midday. Continental or Russian Style breakfast buffet was delicious. We had one dinner and for value and taste it was well worth it. The staff were extremely helpful, booking excursions when we struggled to do so ourselves. Anna from reception done a fantastic job both before and during our stay as her English was near perfect. All in all a fantastic stat and I hope to visit again.
- YueKnoWho (10/5): You want the hotel right next to Kremlin? - Veliy is literally Located in the heart of Moscow. 2 minutes walk to Metro and Kremlin. And don't forget the 24hr Ukrainian restaurant next door if you are craving for midnight munchies. Reception staff was quite helpful and friendly, check-in and Out felt like a breeze. Would definitely come back next time when I visit Moscow.

- Warren (10/5): Love this hotel - This hotel is excellent. It represents amazing value for money, especially considering its location. The metro is across the road via a subway. My original booking described my room having a view across Lenin library but the room I got was downstairs facing the Kremlin this was much better as the road between the hotel and Lenin library is about 6 lanes and very busy. The hotel is in the most perfect spot, the Kremlin is so close and you don't even have to cross any roads to get there. The rooms are a bit small but this was not a problem as you should only be using it to sleep. The rooms are clean and the shower was one of those modular ones with jet sprays. Breakfast was served from 7-11 downstairs by reception. Breakfast was great and plentiful. I have nothing negative about this hotel and can easily say that I have stayed in more expensive hotels that were less comfortable. The hotel is great and the staff friendly. They also offer fresh water to fill your water bottles behind reception. Love Moscow and would definitely stay here again
- Aaron (10/5): Central location, helpful staff - This hotel is a five-minute walk from the Kremlin and about ten minutes from the Red Square. For its price point, you will be hard pressed to do better. My room actually looked out the back of the hotel and onto the walls of the Kremlin. (The Four Seasons is right outside of the Red Square, but that is another level altogether.) It is also located next to a Korchma restaurant, which is very convenient for meals. If you are really lazy, like we were, you can also buy drinks and sandwiches from the hotel counter and eat in your room. The room we were in was small, but sufficient and spacious. The bathroom was a bit spartan, with only those pre-fab shower stalls and no bath tub. This was fine for us. The staff were all very helpful and smiley (uncommon for those of Russian mien), perhaps because they were all young. I had some other troubles when I checked in, and the staff dealing with me even helped me write out several questions in Russian to help me along. The breakfast area is a bit small, so you may have to wait a bit if it was busy. But that is a minor point, and nothing against the hotel on account of the service level.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for a few nights - This was a very nice and convenient hotel but they forgot to give me my credit card back the day I checked out and I didn't notice that they didn't give it back. It made the rest of my vacation a little difficult. The room was really hot and hard to cool down and the shower was very tiny but other than that it was sufficient.

- Matthew (8/5): Good hotel in a great spot - Stayed with early week with a few friends for our Christmas getaway... Hotel is in a great spot, 10 minutes walk to the Kremlin, Gum and red square, one minute away from the metro with a few lines to choose from, albeit the hotel is on a main road- but no road noise could be heard in the room unless you opened the windows- and at -15•c that was at your peril!! Not too many bars close but easily walkable in 10mins. Staff were friendly and efficient, I lest my phone in a cab after too much vodka! and they called to retrieve it. Breakfast was reasonable but good value. Room was adequate, actually better than expected given the price and location. Overall would definitely stay at Veliy again.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel Near To Red Square - Very friendly and helpful hotel staffs. Location of hotel is superb. Less than 5 min walk to Borovitskaya (red line) metro station. Alexander Gardens, Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Red Square and restaurants all within 10 mins walking distant.
- Yuri (6/5): A hotel right in the heart of Moscow - It was supposed to be a Superior Comfort Room. So, up on arrival I was put into room 106. The room was described by a reception clerk as a "Family Junior Room". After having looked at the booking confirmation papers I shown to Ivan, the reception desk clerk, he said it was exactly the room I had booked. The only difference was that back in May it was a Superior Comfort Room and later on they reclassified the rooms and on July 22, when I was checking in, the room I supposedly booked became Family Junior room. Now, let's take a look what the "Superior Comfort / Family Junior Room" in a three stars hotel was offering. There was a wall-mounted rather 17"-19" LCD computer monitor than TV. An A/C unit was just above the TV, and there was only one power outlet in that area. Thus, one should make a choice between watching the TV and/or staying in a comfort of the air conditioned room. For two of us there was just one bathrobe; it was explained as the hotel's standard policy; though, after conversation with Anastasia, another reception clerk, one more bathrobe was supplied. Also, there was no shampoo, hair conditioner and soap, instead there was a single dispenser in the shower stall and another one by the sink filled up with something, I guess a liquid soap.Besides, there was no alarm clock, nor a telephone set, no Moscow telephone directory, no local map showing nearest restaurants. But I accidentally noticed a dead cockroach on the floor! The breakfast was unreasonably expensive.

- charles C (10/5): a great place to stay for tourist! - like it the location, staff are very friendly, room are clean and comfortable. You walk in 5 mins to enter the Kremlin. Alexander park is at the corner, subway is beneath the building. Very convenient for tourist. The breakfast can be more variety, thing on the menu were not available when we ordered.
