Our room was spotless and well stocked with all amenities. The pool area is lovely. Not too large. It can get busy with guests throughout the day. The buffet breakfast was not as good as I thought a hotel of this type would have more variety of breakfast items.

• V5784GHkatien (10/5): Beautiful hotel walking distance to the beaches - We arrived for one week and would definitely come back Alessi gave us a very warm welcome and assisted us through our weeks stay. The hotel is really nice, spotless clean and the staff cannot do enough for you. The location is good. Around 30 mins walk to Gallipoli old town which is gorgeous; lots of cobbled streets, authentic restaurants and cute little shops. The lido San giovanni at the end of the street has a beach you can use, but come out of the hotel to the end of the street and walk left to the Spiaggia beach club; 25 euros for x2 loungers and an umbrella, stunning beach! We had breakfast only at the hotel as we were out all day and it’s a good choice with very attentive staff (Daniel, Stefano and Ilario couldn’t do enough for us) and kept us topped up with coffees! Our room was absolutely spotless, and the bed linen smelt amazing.. nice Amber shower gels and creams too! We had room 102 which must be one of the best as we had a large terrace with table and large sunbed over looking the pool.. book this room!! If you want to see the region, get a car! There’s a hire place round the corner for 50 euros per day. Bikes are €7 per day but 5, if you hire for more than one day. Taxi to Bríndisi airport was arranged via the hotel and was €120 and takes an hour, and they turn up on time! The pizzeria red sunset at the end of the street was very good if you want a good local meal. But Gallipoli old town has some real gems. The Orricchette is the typical pasta of the region and try the turnip tops as they were so good! Lecce was a beautiful town and €70 euros there, again the hotel arranged this for us but you can also do day trips. Gallipoli has amazing sunsets, make sure you head to the vista bar in the old town to watch the sunset - they play the music from the gladiator and everyone claps when the sun goes down! This hotel is amazing and we would definitely return! • Goran (10/5): Great Base for Big Salento Holiday - We spent really good time there. We were in the annex building in specious apartment, and we had access to the pool. The hotel is very stylish and cozy. The apartment was equipped with everything you need. Ok, we didn't have espresso machine (only moka pot), but we really enjoyed very nice coffee outside everyday :) The pool and the garden were very nice, the view from the terrace was very nice. The location was very nice, close to the sea and the promenade, but still in a very quiet place. Parking space was always found in front of the building. Nearest beach is Baia Verde. On the beginning of it there are two Lidos - Piccolo Lido and Lido San Giovanni, but if you want to enjoy free access to the beach, just go meters away from lido San Giovanni is public beach, even more beautiful than Lido. Walking distance from the hotel to the Old town of Gallipoli is around 35 min. leisure walk at the promenade by the sea. We had an issue with the cooling system for one night. It couldn't be turn off, and it cooled so strong so we couldn't sleep so the receptionist in charge, came out to meet our problem and gave us another room in the main building. Tomorrow morning the problem was fixed

Raro essere ricevuti al ristorante dal Maitre di sala la prima sera già informato della nostra precedente segnalazione via email su una nostra intolleranza: complimenti! Colazione ben assortita servita in una bella sala che si affaccia sulla piscina. Palestra ben attrezzata. Nessuna nota negativa sull'hotel, unico appunto sulla scarsa pulizia delle strade intorno alla struttura, spesso maleodoranti, ma su questo dovrebbe intervenire il Comune di Gallipoli.

• Amir (6/5): Glanzvolle Fassade, schwache Leistung - Die Sauberkeit im Hotel war durchweg gut bis sehr gut, und auch Fitness- sowie Wellnessbereich waren vorhanden – die Grundausstattung stimmte also. Leider konnte weder das Essen noch der Service dieses Niveau halten. Besonders im Restaurant und beim Frühstück war der Service enttäuschend: Bestellungen wurden regelmäßig vergessen oder falsch ausgeführt. Ein Negativbeispiel war der Barmanager, der nach fünf Tagen, an denen wir täglich dieselben Getränke (Espresso Macchiato und Americano) bestellt hatten, unsere Bestellung erneut falsch ausführte. Als ich den falsch servierten Cappuccino zurückbrachte, reagierte er nicht etwa mit einer Entschuldigung, sondern schickte seinen Mitarbeiter zu uns, um einzig uns nach der Zimmernummer zu fragen – ein Verhalten, das wir als unprofessionell empfanden. Das Essen selbst war eher unterdurchschnittlich und konnte mit der eleganten Aufmachung – Stoffservietten, weiße Tischdecken und eine auf Hochglanz getrimmte Präsentation – in keiner Weise mithalten. Man legte viel Wert auf den äußeren Schein, vernachlässigte jedoch die Details, die für ein tatsächlich hochwertiges Erlebnis entscheidend sind. In Summe stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis daher nicht. Aufgrund des schwachen Services und der kulinarischen Enttäuschung würden wir das Hotel weder weiterempfehlen noch erneut besuchen.
• Donatella Maria Margherita (8/5): - Buon hotel in posizione tranquilla. Peccato che nei dintorni (strade, parcheggi) non ci sia la pulizia che abbiamo trovato in hotel. Personale gentile, forse troppo celere nel servire caffè il mattino e portare via piatti. Non ci è piaciuta la musica (troppo alta) in piscina e neanche la convenzione con le spiagge nella Baia Verde (troppo rumorose e affollate di giovani), abbiamo preferito quelle più vicine (Lido San Gio.vanni, Spiaggia Club Loving Beach). Nell'insieme siamo stati molto bene ;-)

Excellent breakfast buffet with personal service (thanks for the coffee every morning Lorenzo). Nice dinner restaurant. Because of the location the choices of restaurants nearby is a little bit limited but you can take a taxi for 5 euro per person in to town.

Rooms are clean with enough space. Roomservice is on daily base. Pool is clean. Breakfast is ok, and staff is friendly with excelent comunication. Daniele is my favorit.
• V6820UXpetras (10/5): Family vacation - We went on a week long family holiday and can confidently say that it was one of our best experiences. The hotel’s facilities were superb, everything was clean and the location was perfect. However, what made it most enjoyable was the incredible hospitality of the staff, especially at breakfast and dinner. We would like to especially thank Daniel for his attentiveness and exceptional kindness and for making us feel so welcomed.

The hotel was perfectly clean, my small suggestion is to make the lighting more yellow, and add some carpeting. There wasn’t much to do in the area, but it made parking very easy.

There are beach areas close by that can be reached on foot, the nature reserve is only a few minutes by car. The old city of Galipolli can be reached on foot or it's a 5 min drive with the car. There wasn't anything we didn't like, we had a wonderful and very comfortable stay.

• Irving11 (10/5): Lovely hotel in Gallipoli - One of the best hotels we have stayed in for some time. Luckily, having read the reviews we decided on half board and we were rewarded with some superb dinners. Our thanks to their excellent chef. Breakfast was lovely too! The waiting staff were well trained, courteous and helpful as were the reception staff. Impressive. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Serviced everyday by staff who so obviously cared about the standards they maintained. Our room overlooked a large, attractive inner courtyard where you can sit and enjoy both pre and post dinner drinks. Like the rest of the hotel the pool was scrupulously clean, if a little cold for me but then my wife maintains I’m a wimp! The sun beds were readily available and comfortable, although the flies could be a nuisance! As for the spa it was beautiful and well worth the extra charge. The management deserve credit for upholding such high standards and we can understand why people return year after year.

• burghglobetrotter (6/5): Nice and clean but…….. - The hotel is situated up a poorly maintained back street. Road and pavements are poor. First impression was it was a lovely looking hotel. We arrived on a Saturday , checked in and we were asked for a €200 deposit, in cash ! we were booked to stay in an apartment. We didn’t have the cash and offered to pay by credit card , that was refused. Reception staff were told they’d have to wait until we could get cash. We were shown to the apartment , it was very clean and modern. It’s the first apartment we’ve stayed in where there was no soap, shower gel or shampoo, however , there was cleaning sponges in the bathroom and kitchen. Obviously we were to buy cleaning fluid. It’s the first time I’ve stayed in an apartment that doesn’t have a cleaning service and we were expected to clean it and we were asked by the reception staff to leave the kitchen area clean when we checked out ! Which we would anyway. We were unable to use the bathroom sink as the pop up waste (plug) was stuck, we reported it and were told it would be looked at on Monday when the maintenance man was back. So we had to clean teeth and wash hands etc in the kitchen sink. Not ideal. We couldn’t use the hob , no instructions, we couldn’t get it to work. Reception person came to show us, he couldn’t get it to work ,we thought it was broken, so he brought us a plug in hob. Monday morning the maintenance man came, sorted the pop up waste in the bathroom and in Italian tried to explain how the hob worked. We worked out it was induction but some of the pans weren’t suitable to activate the hob. We had one pan that worked but took over 1/2 hour to boil a small amount of water. We didn’t bother to use it after that. After 5 days we asked for clean towels , we were given 2 bath towels. We were staying for 10 days ! On day 8 we got a phone call from reception saying we were able to have a free clean ! It would have been better half way through our stay not 2 days before we were leaving. Apartment was cleaned and clean towels left. The pool area is very nice but there is a problem with flies, we only sat for a very short time before we left due to flies. Other guests said the same. The hotel is a 30 -40 minute walk to the main old city, which is lovely. We only ever saw one public bus. There are no taxis as we know it, they are people carriers for a few persons and they charge per person not per mile. It’s advisory to have a car to travel to various locations. I can’t comment on the hotel as we didn’t eat there. The breakfast is €15 , but we didn’t try it. There are some restaurants nearby which we used and they were satisfactory. Upon checking out we were asked to pay for pool towels, we didn’t have pool towels. My husband can’t swim ! We can only think it was for the two clean towels we asked for on day 5. My husband refused to pay. Would I stay at this hotel again ? Probably not.

• Nina (7/5): Nice hotel, about a 30min walk from old town, worth staying here with a car as parking was easy - We didnt use it but the pool area was nice. Beds are rather firm but that seemed to be all over Puglia region!
• Naomi (6/5): Basic hotel but clean and staff friendly. Not a 4* hotel - Property was clean, staff very helpful and welcoming Rates as a 4* but would say it’s a 3* at a maximum. We stayed in the ‘Comfort Room’, it was very basic, no amenities in the room at all. No kettle/tea/coffee, no shampoos or toiletries, no iron. Staff were helpful and brought items to the room when requested but for a 4* hotel you shouldn’t have to ask. Also we were told access to the spa would be included in our stay only to find out once we had arrived that there is an extra charge. The gym facilities only open at certain times of the day

• RALPH (8/5): Nice Hotel - Very nice hotel. Overpriced for the neighborhood. We did have the nicest room in the Hotel. The pool is beautiful The staff is very nice. The breakfast was very good as well. I would return to this hotel if I were to return to Gallipoli.

The location is out of the old town but the hotel do a courtesy bus - 5 euro to beach old town etc. Gallipoli is spectacular. The services at the hotel impeccable Nothing absolutely perfect
