- Stephen (8/5): An Exceptional Hotel--With One Drawback - This is an excellent hotel, with one awful flaw--it's right next door to an "events facility" where, on some weekends, live bands play until 2am. The decibel level was unbelievable; it sounded as though the band was inside our room. Our kids got no sleep and were non-functional/hyper the next day. When the bands aren't playing, this is a wonderful hotel: a vast, sprawling 17th-century mansion with large rooms, magnificent internal courtyard, antique pottery, a library where you can work or play the piano, an excellent breakfast and a rooftop pool. The location right in the heart of Cartagena's colonial city is perfect. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful with queries. It was great except for the night the band played until 2am!
- Chris (1/5): Great place to stay if sleep is not your primary concern - It's a very pretty hotel We were not informed / warned that there would be a wedding next door on a sunday night that went on until 2am with music so loud it was impossible to sleep. The receptionist told us at 00:16am that they would turn down the music in 14 minutes but it continued. Whether or not this was within their control or knowledge we do not know

Ambiente lindo, com estilo local. O quarto é enorme e o banheiro também. Então você se sente como se estivesse em casa. E a localização é excelente, pois fica perto de tudo na cidade murada, mas sem ter nenhum barulho. Sempre acho que pode ter uma chaleira ou máquina de café no quarto. Isso faz a diferença. No mais, tudo ótimo.

A limpeza muito boa e o quarto sempre geladinho já que Cartagena é muito quente. A simpatia da equipe do hotel excelente. Café da manhã bom porém achei que poderia ter mais variedade de itens.

- Paul (8/5): A lovely spot - There is so much to like about this place. Location is right in the middle of the old city but quiet. The hotel is gorgeous. Public areas are delightful and the rooms large and elegant. The pool although small is great and the views lovely. Breakfast changed daily and is interesting. I hate to say this but the Staff are surly and ignore guests. For a hotel with just seven rooms and with the reception at the front door, Reception staff have their faces buried in their phones (clearly not work related) or so attentive to the computer screen, they can’t be bothered to acknowledge anyone coming or going. When you stand at reception, you are made to feel you are interrupting something far more important. This is a tiny issue but so very important and something that needs to change.

Anteciparam o nosso pequeno almoço em vinte minutos devido à nossa viagem, o que foi uma excelente atitude e tomei em conta. Limpeza também sempre bem realizada. O pequeno almoço é muito pouco variado (não é buffet). Se uma pessoa estiver uma semana alojada neste hotel, simplesmente come o mesmo todos os dias. No quarto onde estive hospedado a partir das 7 da manhã ouvia-se os funcionários do hotel a falar alto e às gargalhadas, impossível descansar a partir dessa hora. A piscina no Rooftop tem aspecto de degradada e água turva, nada convidativa. Da mesma forma que elogiei a antecipação do pequeno almoço por parte do hotel, crítico não nos terem informado antecipadamente que no dia do nosso check out, havia uma prova de corrida nas ruas da muralha, com trânsito cortado. Tivemos de fazer uma maratona com malas para fora da muralha e assim conseguir ir para o aeroporto.

Their staff was extremely warm, friendly, and useful! I recommend this beautiful place 10000%! The breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed having it in such a home/relaxing environment. Every area I passed by was clean and it was pleasing returning to such a warm place every day. I'm very thankful for finding this place for my first visit to Cartagena!

Belle maison coloniale joliment décorée. Intimiste. Notre chambre à l’étage supérieure très lumineuse. Petite piscine que nous n’avons pas utilisée. Pdj correct. Notre chambre était située à l’avant dernier étage, beaucoup trop d’escaliers si vos valises sont lourdes.. Bruit extérieur d’un générateur..non identifié.

- Begoña (7/5): - La ubicación. Es un caserón colonial bonito pero poco práctico. Te ofrecen toallas para la piscina que tienen en la azotea. Las vistas desde allí son buenas. Nos dieron la posibilidad de desayunar una hora antes del horario normal. Las recomendaciones de las chicas de recepción sobre lugares para ir a comer fueron sobresalientes. Por el precio que pagas, deberían de ofrecer agua de cortesía. Aunque en la propia reserva indica que hay escaleras, no esperábamos tantas para llegar a nuestra habitación que estaba arriba del todo. Te ayudan a subir la maleta, pero no siempre.

- Emiliano (10/5): Wow! Don't skip to property. - By pure chance we came across this property and what a find. Where to start? The location is perfect within the walled city and yet quiet, where you can't hear the street noises. The decor is like stepping inside a museum. The details all over the property, show a true attention for details. Don't miss their two story library adapted for business. The wifi is strong everywhere. There's an amazing rooftop pool and terrace with an amazing 360 view of the city and ocean; perfect for a sunset drink or kiss. The rooms are big and comfortable: beds are comfortable, ac works perfectly, bathrooms have big showers with strong water pressure and the temperature you prefer. The staff is friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast is different and fresh everyday, with local flavors and incredible fruit. If you're lucky enough you can meet and chat with the owner, Monsieur Henry: he has incredible stories that will keep you entertained. Bonus fact: they have multiple properties, and we were lucky enough to visit their Baru private beach location too. There you can have a quiet and personalized experience with fresh seafood and water activities. Everything is oozing personality and not a cookie cutter mega resort. If I come back to Cartagena, I'll make it a point to come back here.

Es un hotel pequeño, con pocas habitaciones lo cual simplifica muchas cosas. Y la ubicación es perfecta. - Tiago loyal (9/5): - O hotel é um prédio lindo, histórico e muito conservado e com a decoração clássica muito charmosa. A piscina na cobertura é perfeita, dá pra nadar vendo o por do sol com uma vista linda da cidade. Conseguimos fazer tudo a pé e existem muitas opções de passeio próximos. Optamos por camas de solteiro e elas não eram de molas ensacadas e foi desconfortável. O café da manhã é bem simples e vem em um kit pronto como em tempos de pandemia, apenas café e leite ficam livres.

Mucha tranquilidad, comodidad y excelente servicio. ubicación excelente y cerca de todos los restaurantes. Mejorar las opciones del desayuno.

- Maria Fer (10/5): Excelente escolha! - Hotel está num casarão antigo, bem bonito e muito bem localizado dentro da cidade amuralhada (melhor lugar para ficar, sem dúvidas). O quarto é bem espaçoso, banheiro ótimo, com água quente. Tem uma piscina bem bonita, apesar de pequena, com uma vista linda. O atendimento foi ótimo, equipe muito educada e simpática. Os colchões não são muito confortáveis. O café da manhã é delicioso, mas não é em estilo buffet e a quantidade de itens / opções poderia ser maior. Além disso, o horário do café da manhã é ruim, pois inicia a partir de 08:00 e para os passeios precisamos estar no local de encontro às 08:00... seria muito bom se o café da manhã estivesse disponível a partir de 07:30.
