Umberto (9/5): Agréable - Très beau lieu, très agréable de vivre dedans. La cuisine commune est très pratique aussi. Ce n’est pas grave mais les portes fonctionnement un peu bizarrement selon moi (le système de la porte et ouverture avec la clé). L’eau chaude était assez instable dans la douche mais c’est surtout lié aux conditions météo je crois. Globalement ces points ne sont presque rien la rapport au positif du lieu !
Kinga (8/5): Lovely staff with a feel of the jungle close to the city - Nice to be close to the city and in nature. Being able to swim in the river behind the place was great. Nice room, good bathroom, friendly staff. Really appreciated being able to cook for myself, with a pretty quiet fridge in my room (important as well if you want to buy chocolate to take home, otherwise it melts!). Loved having just nets over the windows and no glass, really let the jungle music in. Staff were sanding the gate to the property every day and it made it a bit hard to relax. One day I didn't get bread with breakfast when I had done every other day (although I was served butter and peanut butter - where were they meant to go...?) and when I asked I was told there was no bread. Seemed strange...eventually the safe member did come back with some bread, so all was well in the end, just a bit confusing.

Mary (10/5): For a lodge that is in the woods and out of town, it was just a great place to stay. - There was a lot to like about this place. Always a supply of purified water; quiet accommodations; large room; little details like hangers for your clothes; a variable breakfast (not the same thing morning after morning); clean grounds, chair to sit in outside or a hammock; river access; could walk to town if desired; some restaurants offered delivery service (limited, but still, you had a choice.) Always a delicious b'fast - fresh juice, hot coffee, bread, peanut butter, jam/honey, butter, and a variety of main dishes. I often made a peanut butter/jam sandwich and took it with me for lunch. I was there a full week and enjoyed Huingos very much. I'd definitely book there again. The other thing worth mentioning is that I had asked to be picked up at the airport and was told that someone would be there with a sign with my name on it. And THEY WERE. This service was included by Huingos and for a single woman, non-Spanish speaking, this was REALLY appreciated. All I can think of is that the breakfast was often cold by the time I ate it because it is made and brought to the dining area at a particular time (I was told 7:30am I believe) and if you are not there immediately to eat it, it starts to get cold. It IS covered tho to keep it as hot as possible and containers or covers are provided for the other items to keep little critters from helping themselves to your breakfast... Coffee is in a steel carafe, so stays hot a long time.
