• Tasha (1/5): Don’t waste your time here - It was in Everglades City It was not as advertised. The locks on the doors weren’t sturdy. There wasn’t a way to lock the back door. The place was run down and the boards to walk on were rickety. We booked a queen bed and it was a full bed in the room. Wallpaper was falling off the wall in the corners of the bedroom. When I contacted the number no one was on site to assist us. Actually the person on the other end didn’t seem concerned about the situation. We were there for a total of 10 minutes and left. They would not refund us. Don’t waste your time here. Stay in a notable hotel.

The view from the back porch was spectacular. Everything about this place was wonderful . It was also close to many restaurants and all the attractions in the area . • Gesa (9/5): Wow. Wirklich aussergewöhnlich. - Super schön. Grosszügig. Geräumig. Vollausgestattete Küche. Freies Parking. Check in flexibel. Cabin offen, wenn man ankommt. Direkter Zugang zum Wasser. Mit Liegen, Stühlen und Pelikanen. Wir haben bedauert nur eine Nacht geblieben zu sein. Man kann soviel machen und erleben. Man könnte sicher viel bemängeln. Aber so speziell und damit einfach aussergewöhnlich.

• Layla (10/5): Highly recommend and will stay again! - It was very clean and cute. The staff were very personable and friendly. The location was absolutely perfect. We immediately fell in love with the town. There is a small grocery store within walking distance. Restaurants, coffee shop and a convenience store. Bait shops and souvenir shops. You can walk to almost everything. And the airboat rides are there too. So you don’t have to travel far. The view is lovely from the screened porch. And you can fish off the dock! I have nothing negative I could say.

• Deborah (7/5): Peace and tranquility. - The place was very clean and quiet, the air conditioners worked very well—we didn’t feel hot at all. Overall, the cabin is very comfortable, although some of the kitchen utensils should be replaced. From my point of view, since I travel with children and need to prepare breakfasts and snacks, I had a really hard time with the only two pans and the small pot available at the property. It’s nearly impossible to cook with them because everything sticks, and then you have to scrub them “with your nails and teeth” to get the egg or food residue off. Cooking anything was unbearable due to the poor quality of the pans—I wasted so much time on this, and even more trying to wash them. Ugh! If I had known, I would’ve brought two pans from home.

• Bettina (9/5): Komfortabel - Das Chalet ist geräumig, mit guten Verstau- und Ablagemöglichkeiten. Ruhig und komfortabel. Schöne Veranda, die zum Wasser ausgerichtet ist. Auto parkiert man direkt unter seinem Chalet. Zum Frühstücken gibt es gleich zwei Möglichkeiten vis à vis auf der anderen Strassenseite. Zu Fuss sehr gut erreichbar.

We had a little trouble finding the right setting on the ac in the bedroom. It was either too cold or too warm.

• Eva (10/5): - Die Lage ist wirklich ein Traum. Mitten in der wirklich sehr kleinen Stadt Everglades City liegen diese wunderschönen Häuschen, mit direktem Blick aufs Wasser. Wir haben von der Terrasse aus Delfine und Krokodile gesehen - wirklich sehr spannend. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und total zuvorkommend. Kann die Unterkunft bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen. Ein kleines Manko war der Tisch und die Stühle in der Küche. Der Tisch war extrem klebrig, ließ sich auch nicht mit Putzen beheben und die Stühle schon komplett durchgescheuert und die Fetzen hängen davon, darum ein kleiner Punkteabzug bei der Ausstattung. Trotzdem würde ich die Unterkunft als sauber einstufen.

Wir haben sogar Krokodile und Delphine gesehen!! Laut Buchung sollte vor Anreise Informationen zum Check-in erfolgen. Das war nicht der Fall, die Rezeption bei Ankunft geschlossen. Unter der angegebenen Telefonnummer niemand zu erreichen. Zum Glück tauchte nach ein paar Minuten jemand auf. Die Dame war zunächst noch privat am telefonieren. Nach ein paar Minuten war sie dann endlich bereit den Check-in zu machen.
• Brian (10/5): Comfortable and peaceful waterfront cabin providing great facilities. - We really enjoyed our stay in this waterfront cabin and we were very sad to leave! It’s an older property but full of character and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The cabin is spacious with a large living area and bedroom, a bathroom, a compact but well equipped kitchen and a huge screened balcony overlooking the river and Lake Placid - during our stay we saw a number of alligators, a dolphin and lots of local birdlife. The family run business offers free use of bicycles, canoes, a boat ramp and dock and use of a pool in a nearby resort. The cabin complex has laundry facilities which we found to be useful. It’s very close to a number of boating and fishing enterprises and there are numerous airboat tours available in the area. The nearby Shark Valley visitor centre is well worth a visit but the Loop Road Scenic Drive (rather rough in some areas) provided our best sightings of alligators in the Everglades region. Nothing. All good.

• MONTSERRAT (7/5): Evitarlo en Agosto! - El alojamiento es amplio y comodo. Las vistas al río espectaculares. Hay autoservicio lavandería con monedas lo cual va muy bien en un viaje largo. Hay dos cafeterías a menos de 5 min a pie donde dan grandes desayunos. El establecimiento no tiene opcion desayuno. Lamentablemente había una plaga de mosquitos extrema (agosto) y no pudimos disfrutar mucho de este alojamiento. Pasamos la noche como pudimos y nos fuimos corriendo. Una pena.

• Carsten (3/5): Never again. - In der Unterkunft nichts so richtig. Außer den Menschen in town, allesamt sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und das ist ja dann doch das Wichtigste. Heruntergekommene Unterkunft, hat seinen Peak vor ca. 20 Jahren gehabt, seit dem keine bis wenig Renovierung / Investitionen. Keine Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Einzelbetten waren zu kurz aber gut. Alles funktional und einfach.

• peter (7/5): - It's very easy to get to with parking under the building. the location is central for everglades boad tours. you can use some of the materials that they have available; like a kayak the bathroom and kitchen are really out of date (as is the rest of the building, but clean). you can see they do maintain it to keep it clean; but it is really really old. if you are a bit older, this is not an easy one. for the rest, there is really nothing to do and to see (maybe the time of the year) in the area.

Die Cabin sowie das Mobiliar war schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Herd war extrem abgenutzt und dreckig, alles in der Küche klebte und die Stühle sind fast auseinander gefallen

• Christine (8/5): Authentique - Le charme d’une Amérique authentique. Un logement qui nous a projeté en tant que français dans la vraie vie américaine hors des grandes villes (le large frigo, la gazinière, le broyeur dans l’évier, cette climatisation tellement bruyante, les moustiquaires intégrales, le fauteuil à bascule…). Un dépaysement immersif très agréable. Tout est prévu en terme d’équipement et c’est appréciable. Garer sont véhicule sous les pilotis du logement, à l’américaine. La vue est tellement apaisante. Les moustiques (séjour en août) mais cela nous laissera un souvenir assurément piquant et les logement sont généreusement équipés de moustiquaires. L’accueil par téléphone, la restitution des clés par boîte à lettre, on a vu personne. Cela ajoute à la sensation d’être seuls au monde.
