It was very refreshing to breath the air in your hotel! I will only stay at your hotel everytime I am in your area!

- Nebel (7/5): It was decent for what we needed. - The room was nice. I slept well. There is no elevator for second floor guests. This could be an issue if you have heavy luggage. There was no ice bucket or cups in our room. I had to get a bucket from the front desk, but it did not matter, because the ice maker was not working at the time. The breakfast was pretty bare and much of it was on the floor (which needed swept) perhaps due to the number of children that had stayed there overnight.

- hbY3700GT (4/5): No Elevator. No Microwave. Barely Breakfast. - My advice: Read the reviews before you reserve!!! No elevator. No coffeemaker or microwave in rooms. Rooms are very basic. Microwave in breakfast area does not work. Breakfast extremely minimal, eggs are in-shell, cold. First time I've ever seen that at a hotel breakfast.

We enjoyed a continental breakfast that wasn't flashy but fulfilled the need. The front desk staff recommended a place for our dinner that night that we found close and quite good.

- D3698XQdavidr (6/5): Simple sleep without frills...or elevator - Not too bad, but a bit frustrated with nice but inexperienced staff and lack of info on the web when making reservation. My bride and I showed up and were told our room was on second floor. No problem...except they have no elevator. Ok, I'm in my 70s and pretty good shape...but my bride has an artificial knee and fused ankle..the staff points us to a stairway going up to the east end of building. Up we go, turn at top to go all the way to the west end...then turn south to go to our room. If they'd have just told us where our room was we could have easily and more quickly walked diagonally across the lot to the other entrance. When making the reservation it would have been nice to know about no elevator. Rooms were clean and spartan. No coffee maker. I didn't know they made such small refrigerators. The mattress was the most comfortable I've had other than home. Orange juice at breakfast was heavy on water and light on mix.

- SerenaStone (4/5): Poor management - Booked adjoining rooms due to traveling with family. Check in was 3pm, arrived after 7pm and rooms still were not ready. When rooms were ready, we were assigned in two non-adjoining rooms. Checked in at the front desk and was told “there is nothing we can do” and they were all booked with non-adjoining reservations. Few staff working. It appeared that the front desk staff needed to take care of most of other duties and you needed to call them from a phone at the front desk to get a hold of them. Frequently needed to walk around garbage bags in the hallways. Breakfast was picked over, coffee out, etc. Window locks on first floor shoddy. Left an honest message in a survey after we checked out and received a pre-drafted apology from a no-reply email address that I said I could reach out if I wanted to talk to somebody further but the manager couldn’t even attach his signature so I had a name, phone number, or email address to reply to. I called Hilton Corporate and they were unable to get ahold of the manager but said he would call me in the next week, but I never heard back from him. I am disappointed by the mix up in rooms but if somebody would have taken responsibility or apologized for the hassle it caused it would have been fine, but it appears the manager is not involved enough to hire enough staff or take accountability or apologize for mistakes. I would not recommend traveling here with families.

- E4412HZrandyb (2/5): Horrible - Worst place ever. I am an honors member and stay at 2-3 Hiltons per week. I paid more for one night here than any Garden Inn or diner Hilton around. Beware and avoid this place like the plague. But I do love Hilton. Stay at the Garden Inn right down the road. If prices were lower as they should be, I’d have no complaints and wouldn’t expect more.

The pool area Looked amazing and the bagel bar seems to have a few added items (cereal & HB eggs). "K" at the counter was extremely nice and quite accommodating. A plus was a convenience store/pizza place(caseys) a real short walk, so that was nice. I would definitely stay here again when traveling through.

Covers did have stains which made it look dirty. The loud guess that stayed up way passed midnight drinking in the lobby, kids running throughout the hallway. we were on the second floor, right above the front desk /lobby. we were there for 2 nights stay, was there for a state volleyball tournaments, which our daughter played in. and it was tough to sleep with all that , then the 2nd night, more people drinking, if my family wasn't so tried from the all day tournaments, we would have left and drove the 2 +hours.

Breakfast was adequate with a variety of bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, etc. Only 2 things could have been better. there was not an ice bucket in the room and the shower soap dispenser in the shower was empty. Nothing horrible, Just inconvenient!

- ManningAvenger (10/5): Best budget hotel we every stayed at - We came to Iowa for a family funeral and wanted to stay at a Hilton property. Saw the Spark on their app, and their rates for this hotel were amazingly low. We didn't need too many amenities since we spent a small amount of time here. We did request a first-floor room (since there were no elevators), and we got it. The workout room was good, and we used it every day. The TVs have Amazon Prime and Netflix, so remember your password if you want to watch. I've stayed at other budget hotels before, like Super 8 and Red Roof, but Spark has them all beat.

- Dana (2/5): Huge mistake staying at Americ Inn. - Tv, and refrigerator were not working later to find they were not hooked up after remodel. Phone wasn't plugged in. There was a light switch that didn't turn anything on. No toiletries available. Very little provided for breakfast including rotten fruit.Desk help wasn't sure of breakfast hours nor were we asked how our stay was. Parking lot was a mess with construction supplies. Very unlikely i will ever stay in any Americ Inn again.

The breakfast was of rubber eggs, no bread goods, nothing was refilled and the milk was bad and had chunks in it. I understand that you may be short staffed. I have stayed at similar hotels in the same situation and still went above expectations.
- Rosemary (2/5): Oh dear....... Think again about this one. - This motel is under rennovation/construction. I did see one comment mentioning this, but it was from early August and I thought it would be done. Nope! The parking area was full of dumpsters, stacks of building supplies, etc. as were the hallways inside. A complete mess. The workers were in the lobbby and I had to yell at the desk clerk (who was very helpful and friendly) in order to be heard. We were assigned a room which hadn't been cleaned yet. We were then assigned the room next door which was clean but the desk clerk had to remove some building materials. There were 2 refrigerators and one microwave in the room... none of which seemed to work. The new lamps were still wrapped in plastic and didn't have lightbulbs. The TV wasn't hooked up properly. We eventually figured it out. We had to go back to the front desk for cups and hand towels. I really don't think the staff had any idea what rooms were ready for guests, were still being worked on, etc. We booked this hotel because it had high ratings. I'm sure at one time it was just fine, and I'm hoping it will be again. but it's not now. Oh.. several people mentioned the lovely breakfast. No... it was awful. Dried up scrambled eggs.... only a few pieces of bread to make toast, etc. Plus -- the beds really WERE comfortable, as a few reviews mentioned. But really.... if you are looking for a hotel in Cedar Falls, Iowa... keep scrolling.

Also room reserved was also no longer available due to the conversion in process and a lesser grade room was offered instead. Room did not have amenities book (I.e. refrigerator). I had booked the same hotel last May and it was prior to any construction without any issues.

- Kathy (2/5): Americainn - This was a complete fraud hotel. This hotel was not the one in the picture. It had mattresses debris, furniture tarps on the roof. It was dirty, and the vents in the room had so much dirt in them that it was blowing out through the vents. I need to be refunded for this terrible day.
- Donna (6/5): - Stayed for a week. Housekeeping removed our soap and cleaning supplies from the bathroom. Pillows are less and desirable and one on each bed was shredded foam in a pillowcase (too many washings?) Staff was not congenial. I always felt like we were a bother to them.

The gentleman who handled our issues on day 2 was great- But we should have NEVER been put in the first room. Upon arrival- we were placed in a "NEW ROOM" . It had just been refurbished- but WAS NOT READY TO RENT. I had to go to the desk to get a trash can, toilet paper,water cups,ice bucket, there was not a refrigerator, the water to the stool was not turned on, and the leaked all over the floor during the night. - We were placed in a handicap room that we did not request - which had a folding seat in the shower - and no shower curtain which made it difficult to shower and put more water all over the floor and no floor mats on the tile floor which were slick when wet.
- Matt (2/5): Make sure to check if you have bath towels before taking a shower. - Location was fine. It was under construction which is fine as well. Breakfast was good. No bath towels?! I have been staying in hotels for decades and have never experienced anything like this. If this had anything to with the changeover from AmericInn to Hilton, then do not be open! I rarely complain but when I am unable to leave the next morning when I wanted to as there were ZERO towels at the front desk and were waiting for housekeeping to clean up from other rooms? My girlfriend was already in the shower when I went to the front desk, so it was entertaining to watch her dry off with the one hand towel.
- Joseph Matthew (2/5): - The room was a mess when we checked in and the cleaning staff left our room open for 12 hours while we were gone. Luckily our stuff was not stolen. Manager shrugged it off. Terrible place.
- Bradley (6/5): - Overall ok. AC didnt work well. Breakfast was mediocre. Good sized pool. Quiet.
- Paul (5/5): Happy they are updating facility - Close to reunion Noise…. We understand renovation going on.
- Jeffrey (6/5): - They were upgrading and remodeling the rooms. We got one of the rooms that hadn't been upgraded. It was definitely in need of it. The staff was nice, breakfast was ok (cooked items like eggs and sausage weren't great).
- Grace (4/5): - Many parts of the room were damaged. Toilet was making noise all night long and the restroom door was squeaking so loudly.
- Lynda (8/5): - Renovations are going on and when it’s done, the rooms will be more attractive. Currently pretty dark and dingy. Indoor pool was very good.
