- TraciV1985 (10/5): Best stay possible. - Everything about Hotel Spadai is incredible! The staff when we arrived was welcoming and held our bags while we wandered Florence. Location is perfection…just a short walk to the Duomo. Everything from the train Station to the Ponte Vecchio is within a 15 minute walk. Their breakfast spread is insane! Cristiano and Cinzia remember where you like to sit and what you like to drink. There is a table with fresh fruits, another with homemade pastries and fresh scrambled eggs, meats and cheeses every morning. Don’t forget to check out the view from the rooftop terrace! This is a fabulous place to call home while in Firenze.

We returned to this hotel specifically because they took such fine care of us. Everyone at the reception desk that doubles as concierge's are more helpful than could be expected. The staff at breakfast was attentive and always smiling. The rooms are appointed with wonderful local toiletries. Everything about this boutique hotel is top-notch. Thank you.

The hotel was a true oasis for us tourists/travelers who wanted to be pampered and treated well after a day of travel or visiting the magnificent sites in Florence. It is perfectly located in Florence which made our visit convenient and limited unnecessary taxi expense. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure our visit was memorable. The rooms exceeded our expectations with good coffee, and complimentary mini-bar items. This wasn't the least expensive of our hotels in Italy but we were so thankful for the experience!

- canmom92 (10/5): Great Stay at Hotel Spadai (May 2026) - We had a great stay at Hotel Spadia in Florence. It is walking distance to The Duomo (1 minute walk). You can get a cab to the front door of the hotel from the train station (another reviewer said this was not possible but that is inaccurate). The room has a stocked mini-fridge (included) with drinks and snacks. The included breakfast is great and you can get cooked to order omelettes, fried eggs, etc. The hotel is located centrally and many historic sights are within walking distance. We walked everywhere. There is a rooftop access point in the hotel with a view of The Duomo. We also stayed at their sister hotel, Hotel Artemide, in Rome with the same amenities.

Service was also excellent. And lastly there’s the free mini bar in your room. Yes free. And free, huge breakfast each morning.

- C6845ANjohns (10/5): Superb Hotel in the heart of Florence - Excellent hotel, 150 yards from the Duomo. One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. Staff is fantastic, super friendly and everyone had a least a little English, at least enough to communicate. Best bed linens to be found, we had great nights rest every day. The included breakfast was also outstanding. We enjoyed a Spa appointment, wish we could have included a massage, but that was not available. Steam shower and sauna were great to rejuvenate after 8 miles of walking in Florence. We will be back again.

The location really can’t be beat, you can literally see the Florence Duomo as soon as you step out of the hotel, yet we found the hotel peaceful and serene. The rooms and breakfast are lovely and well thought out and the staff are excellent. We used the in house printer to procure our train tickets, which was a nice perk. The location made it possible for us to feel like Florence was at our fingertips. Highly recommend staying here!

- 632miam (10/5): Perfect location. Great service. Thought of everything. - I have stayed at this hotel before, about 5 years earlier so I knew the location was unmatched. Truly, steps away from the Duomo, dining, shopping…it’s all right there, no need for a vehicle. Upon arriving, we had booked two separate reservations because the room we wanted wasn’t available all 3 nights we were there. They welcomed us and let us know they were aware and to call in the morning to see if we could just stay in our first booked reservation, which was larger and a deluxe. So nice they were aware. She also mentioned that she’d seen I’d been before and gave us a 10% discount on our stay. We also received a coupon for free drinks at their bar, on the evening of our choice. Every late afternoon into early evening they put out a full array of delicious food, all free. The bartender is very pleasant and educated about any allergies so you can feel great about snacking away. Moments after arriving to our room, our phone rang to let us know they were bringing us a gift. A great bottle of wine and glasses appeared for us. So thoughtful and appreciated. The next morning , they let us know we were good to stay in our room, so no need to pack up and change rooms. Fantastic! They didn’t even charge us the extra cost for the better room but kept it at the cost we originally had, minus the 10% discount. Things to note: the mini bar is free for the duration of your stay and is refilled daily. Breakfast buffet is included and is on the top floor. Don’t miss a chance to go up the spiral staircase once there, to a cupola with 360 view of Florence. Beautiful! Each morning I would go up and get take away coffees to bring to the room while we got ready, also no charge. It is small details like this that make a difference and is appreciated. Chocolates and turn down service each evening. The staff, I mean everyone, couldn’t be nicer. Always friendly always helpful always available for any needs and happy to help. Looking forward to returning and highly recommend for any travelers who want to be in the heart of Florence while still having a peaceful and quiet room at night, even though our room was on the street side, no noise. Perfect! Thank you so much for your kindness and generous, thoughtful stay.

- Amanda18a (10/5): Excellent hotel - We stayed at the hotel Spadai for 4 nights. We had a deluxe room with jacuzzi bath and Juliette balcony overlooking the Main Street. The mini fridge had water, soft drinks, mini Prosecco and a beer inside and were restocked daily. You are give a free welcome drink on day of arrival to use during your stay. If you buy a drink at the hotel bar you can have some pre dinner nibbles! Very artistic! The breakfasts were amazing, the best choice I have seen at breakfast. The strawberries and fruit were so tasty, and there were so many pastries and cakes to choose from. The staff were so friendly and helpful, even getting us a Nespresso machine for our room. Thank you so much to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one. The birthday cake with a candle was a lovely touch.

Much bigger than we expected. We were right around the corner from all our activities but once you were in the hotel it didn’t feel like you were in the middle of a busy city. The breakfast was also a huge highlight as they had everything you could imagine!

The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the Duomo and within easy walking distance to all the major sights, restaurants, and shops. Despite being in the city center, the hotel is remarkably quiet and peaceful once inside. The staff were truly outstanding—warm, professional, and always ready with a helpful recommendation or a friendly smile. Every interaction felt genuine and personal. The room itself was spotless, well designed, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like complimentary drinks, high-quality toiletries, and a perfectly maintained bathroom. Breakfast was excellent as well, with a wide variety of fresh options, and attentive service. There is also a complimentary aperitivo hour in the lounge. Overall, Hotel Spadai exceeds expectations in every way: location, comfort, service, and atmosphere. It’s a perfect blend of modern luxury and Florentine charm. We’ll absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Florence!

- RachelC5585 (10/5): A Florence Hotel Gem! - What a wonderful stay at Hotel Spadai!! Location is excellent, with a two-minute walk to the Duomo and central to all the amazing sights in Florence. Our room was well appointed and tastefully furnished to a high standard - it was also pristinely clean. A complimentary mini bar (re-stocked each day) with drinks and small snacks was a bonus! The buffet breakfast is superb with all tastes being catering for – it is continually refreshed. Service and staff were the icing on the cake for a great stay here. Would not hesitate to highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Florence.

The hotel, and its staff, are top notch. The rooms are perfect. The staff was fantastic. The breakfast was wonderful. If you're headed to Florence this is the place to stay.

The breakfast in particular was a highlight with a large selection of fruits and premium items not typically seen even at nicer hotels. Bedding was excellent. Rooms were modern. After a somewhat poor experience with a similarly rated and priced hotel in Rome the hotel spadai was a welcome change. Book it you won’t be disappointed

Minibar repuesto a diario con gran variedad de bebidas y productos, café, snacks… todo gratis. Mucho ruido por la noche de ambulancias, coches, motos … casi constante. Descanso, por tanto, mejorable.
- 735berrine (10/5): Fantastic hospitality and perfect location - We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Spadai. The location is perfect — within walking distance of all the major attractions, which made exploring Florence incredibly easy. The hotel was extremely clean and very well maintained. Although there was a little street noise at night, it did not affect our sleep and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. The welcome drink on arrival was a lovely touch, and we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bottle of wine and biscuits in addition to the minibar, which was refilled every day. A special mention to the lady at the downstairs bar who was incredibly helpful and recommended fantastic cocktails based on our tastes. We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Spadai and would happily return on our next visit to Florence.

Bathrobes and towel warmer was lovely and plenty of space to unpack and feel at - I loved how peaceful it was inside and how close it was to so many things. Felt very safe. The staff was exceptional and so nice. Very helpful with restaurant suggestions and never made me feel like a dumb tourist. This is not the properties fault at all, but it was sad that we couldn’t really keep our windows open much because people were inevitably smoking cigarettes down below. Maybe if were werent staying in such a busy area that the pups t have been an issue.

The hotel has many, many things to commend it: location, cleanliness, great breakfast, well appointed rooms and bathrooms, pleasant bar. But, above everything, the hotel has the most friendly, obliging, and professional staff. Every single member of staff is a credit to the hotel. Thanks to everyone for another marvellous stay. Looking forward to another visit later in the year.

- Excursion140348 (10/5): Exceptional experience - We only had one day in Florence and Hotel Spadai exceeded our expectations from the moment we reached out. Arriving early before our room was ready, the staff warmly took my number to call when it was ready, stored our luggage, and offered a spot to freshen up so we could head straight out to explore. They had also proactively arranged our train station transfers before we even arrived which took so much stress off my plate. Before setting off, the team pointed us toward a wonderful breakfast spot nearby that did not disappoint. Not long after, while we were still out exploring, my phone rang — our room was ready earlier than expected. Such a thoughtful touch. The location is simply unbeatable — steps from the Duomo, with everything we wanted to see within easy walking distance. Our suite was ideal for our family, with two bathrooms, a comfortable sofa bed for our son, and a well-stocked minibar that was a lovely treat after a long day on our feet. What truly set this stay apart, though, was the staff. They were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make our one day in Florence feel seamless and special. We are already hoping to come back just so we can stay here again.

In Florence however, I will now always stay at Hotel Spadai and make it my top choice to my clients. From pre trip to post trip, the service was outstanding. The breakfast inclusion is a must! I would highly recommend the Deluxe room. You may need to request the tub, I'm not 100% sure they all have them, but what a great way to relax mid trip! Their spa is also quite nice. Location is quiet, and yet close to many things. Central air is controllable by YOU and elevators are not super small, as you often find in Europe.

- Q3493FQannah (10/5): Great hotel in a great location - We enjoyed two nights here with two rooms - a Junior Suite and a Deluxe Twin. The rooms are lovely - high ceilings, great bathrooms. The location is perfect and the staff is warm and welcoming. It was an easy walk from the train station- maybe 10-12 minutes and then you're right in the middle of everything.

The room was clean and I loved the balcony. Breakfast was great with made to order eggs. Snacks, fruit and water were available throughout the day. Upon arrival I was treated to a cappucino and pastries along with a large chocolate bar delivered to my room with a beautiful note. Fresh flowers were placed in the room.
