Guest Reviews
- paola (10/5): Wonderful place - Wonderful Place, very comfortable and clean. Our host was very kind and attentive.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent accommodations good bed food appearance location
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A B&B should serve a nice hot breakfast. The si a help yourself continental breakfast.
Finishing touch rather poor
Parking across the street in a vacant lot
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Awesome pirate theme, very cool and easy going, clean rooms, good location, beautiful backyard with a pirate pond.
- Doris (8/5): - The place was hard for us to find. Otherwise, our stay was excellent
- Philip (6/5): Pirate - The host is very friendly and open. This is a private house and shared bathroom. It's in a neighborhood with a few restaurants w/i reasonable walking distance or easy driving distance. There is a nice grocery store to purchase pre-made meals and bring them back if flexible. Parking is limited by the house, but can park across the street. Breakfast is continental and you make your own, but there were good choices - fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast and coffee, tea and juice. The pirate theme is rather clever but not my taste, our room was clean. It is an older home. It's not for everyone, but we did have a good night's sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Welcome aboard! It is a Pirate Oasis. - I spent a night here, as it is not too far from the Université Laval. I had a meeting there the following morning and wanted something different from a hotel. The house is ecclectic as it is as the name of the place suggests very "Pirate themed" this includes the entrance and kitchen area and even the bathroom. As well, there is a backyard area with a nice "oasis" including a waterfall and a nice water garden, as well as a small pirate boat area! The room area I occusied was a nice bedroom with a salon area with a television and small fridge as well. The set up for morning breakfast was help yourself continental, make your own coffee, take you you want from the fridge. there were bagels, toast, different jams/peanut butter, cereals, some fruit. I had a nice quiet breakfast to myself in the morning and enjoyed the quiet oasis area before heading off to the university. It was the first time I have been at a B&B and not been served by the hosts, but I did not mind this at all, and I had a nice breakfast with what was provided by the hosts. I enjoyed the welcome by the owner, Antonin, and his wife who were pleasant and welcoming.
It is a different kind of B&B experience, but I enjoyed my stay.
- John (10/5): - Great room. Jst outside of the downtown area. Loved the pirate motif furnishings especially the sinks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff, comfortable bed and everything was clean Breakfast not so sure
- Verified traveler (6/5): - bnb is ok, but for me, too far away from downtown and in a deserted part of the city - convenient thing was the parking for the car
- Laura (10/5): Absolutely Charming - This place really goes all out with the theme. The pictures do not do it justice. If you have lots, this would be an amazing place to take them. There is sand and a ship in the backyard for them to play. Every inch of the walls are covered by wood and pirate decorations.
The host is a wonderful, perfect gentleman, and speaks perfect French and English. Breakfast is self serve, but the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. My only negative for the B&B is the wood walls make the rooms very very hot. It acts as extra insulation, so staying in the summer can be uncomfortable.
- Julia (8/5): Wonderful! - Love the pirate theme! Close to shopping and grocery!
Once inside, felt like an oasis, hidden away!
- Verified traveler (8/5): L'Oasis du Pirate B&B Quebec, QC - Quebec City was beautiful! I would go there again.
- David (10/5): - The bed was very comfortable. It was a pleasure to do business with friendly and understanding people. The choices for breakfast were varied. The location was optimal for me for the one night stay; it is a few blocks from Place Laurier and the Ste-Foy bus terminal.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such a delightfully unique place to stay. The owner is so creative- it is truly a pirate's hideaway. Loved being there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay - Very spacious and clean room with lots of surprise! I was a little bit disappointed at the breakfast was continental breakfast though, because I was expecting a delicious meal cooked by the host like another B&B I stayed before. However, overall I felt very comfortable like home in quebec. Highly recommended to someone who just needs to go to the airport next day since this place is very close to the airport or doesn't care about taking a long time to go back to downtown (40-60mins by bus).
- Verified traveler (10/5): Dans l'espace maritime. - Great. Thematic : everything about pirates. Beau gite. Tout est thématique : pirates et bateau, en bois brut. Pour ceux qui aiment ce style. À proximité des voies d'aces. Facile à trouver. Parking disponible. Quiétude.
- Anthony (8/5): Fun and Interesting - Overall it was a good stay. I didnt realize it was a B & B until I got there, but overall a fun and welcoming stay. If you are looking for a themed bed and breakfast then this is your place to go. Only wish there would have been A/C in the room. Although it is later in the year in Canada so the weather was fairly cool.
- Verified traveler (10/5): What a great theme B & B ! - What a great theme B & B ! We loved the attention to detail; the actual mini-ship in the pond, the garden, the beach chairs on real sand from which to view the ocean faring vessel! . The room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved the attention to detail; the wood paneling and the glass sinks added to the pirate theme.
- Brad (10/5): A Great B&B - This was a charming spot with plenty of character and charm. The accommodation was comfortable and reasonable, out host was helpful and welcoming and, all in all, it was a great experience. We will recommend it to friends and will stay there again if the occasion presents itself.
