Guest Reviews
- Nikos (10/5): - Nice
- Susanna (10/5): - Really happy with the stay! Beautiful apartment, great support and good location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Check in is a little strange - in fact it's nonexistent. Read the email instructions. Online/email support is very good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great communication! When we needed more towels and toilet paper, we asked and it was delivered promptly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location - easy to get to downtown attractions - needs some improvement for same day registration - would give 4.6/5.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The couch had bugs and ended up with about 25 bites.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Location was superb. Setting up the information to actual enter the building was harsh, receiving the information was worse. We left our car in an alleyway in the dark trying to reach someone to advise us of our parking space. I believe this email reached us about 8 PM after check-in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing view, nice room and great experience overa - Stayed here for 3-nights on a business trip, the check-in process was emailed to me prior to my arrival and it was a quick and seamless experience. The apartment itself is in a new, clean and private building with around the clock security. The apartment was clean and has the basic necessities in the kitchen and living areas. I did have some issues like the shower curtain being ripped, no coffee for the coffeemaker, an LED bulb in a dimmer which cause the light to flicker and a missing bulb in the bedside lamp. I emailed the property owners and they quickly sent someone to fix these issues. The area is great, close to everything you'd ever need and the view from the 36th-floor was amazing.
- christine (4/5): Unreliable - When we call for service, we cannot leave a message and 1 time out of 4 someone answers. When sending an email, we are lucky if we get a reply. We waited 2 hours to get the parking key, never got it, had to pay 20$ elsewhere for those 2 hours and they charged us 25$ for parking. We only got to the parking via the security desk who also tried to reach them without success.
- Jeffrey (2/5): No attempt to make things right. - The stay started out fine. Then the bathroom ceiling started leaking dirty water everywhere. I called to let them know (saving them thousands of dollars in damage that would have happened if the unit were vacant), and they sent someone to fix it while my family and I were at a wedding. They promised to let me know when the work was completed, which they did not. In fact, that was the last communication of any kind that I received from them. I returned late that night, kids asleep, to find several huge fans and dehumidifiers running, furniture moved, holes in walls, the bathroom full of dirt and debris, etc. Despite the terrible experience, absolutely nothing has been done by Veeds to make this right. I can understand that a leak can happen. But to not acknowledge in any way the problem this caused for my family, and in fact cut off all communication as soon as I asked what they planned to do for me, is horrendous service.
Note that the staff at Hotels.com were much better, and did offer a small credit toward my next stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - After my 4 PM check in. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get TV to work. To no avail. Then a half hour to wait on text/ call to find out they were sending out a tec in the morning. I only rented it for one night so it didn't do me any DAM good.
- Daniel (10/5): - It was an awesome condo great area to stay as well would definitely stay there again if I had to grab a place to stay in toronto for the night
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Terrific condo in a great location. Comfortable and clean. Check in was easy. Lacked some toiletries and we had to ask for the tv to be activated and wifi access, as no instructions were in the room, but they attended to our requests fairly promptly. Overall, a good stay.
- kelly (10/5): Great spot, problem parking - The location and rooms were excellent. We would stay again. Unfortunately the keys to the parking garage were not in the room so we had to pay to park a couple of blocks away.
- Jay (8/5): - Great location, Large 2-bedroom apartment, Clear check in and check out instructions
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property is cheaply constructed and the rental was extremely disappointing. Here are a few of the issues:
- Door handles are falling off
- 1of 3 elevators was out of service, one other one had doors that wouldn’t open sometimes
- the apartment was tidied....not cleaned. There was a film of scum on everything, Red mould in showers, dust and dirt in corners, walls were marked up and damaged, glassware and flatware put away but filmy
- the sink was clogged and nobody fixed during our stay. Apparently a cleaning crew came and put drain-o down the drain....they left it clogged with residue up the sides. I was instructed to put more drain-o in it....there was none in the apartment.
- the dishwasher had 2 inches of water in it...it was also clogged...nobody fixed it.
- the sheets were stained
- the hallways stink
- one good thing...the laundry worked and proved to be quite convenient as we wanted to wash all of our clothes after staying in the apartment
Will never stay with this service again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We were given a different property than we booked. The actual suite we got was a lot smaller than the one pictured and did not come with a balcony. We also didn’t get blackout curtains or tempurpedics mattress as promised in the listing.
- Louis (8/5): Clean Confortable and what a view! - The place was very nice very good price for downtown Toronto the only thing i did not like is that there was no parking avalable we had to find our own parking and we arrived late at night and don't know Toronto so that was a little stressfull and we were told when we arrived that we did not have parking space, like what the heck man NO PARKING?, this was not a hotel so you don't have hotel service. I have to give a good 7 1/2 except that everything was perfect staying downtown Toronto in a nice clean condo WOW! I would do it again but next time i would make sure there is a parking spot reserved.
Louis
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great view, very clean, the apartment is smaller than the pictures, overall great place to stay
- Nicolas (4/5): - Property advertised at 150$ on Expedia, Ended up being over 260$ / night with all hidden fees. I have yet to receive an invoice for my stay. They basically charged more than expected on my credit card. Internet was not working and Veeds support staff was just not keeping it's promises of following up or fixing the issue. They somewhat fixed Internet after almost a full day of back and forth. I truly believe there is much better amenities in this area for the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient - Close to downtown. Convenient, close to downtown. Best stadium
- Hiro (8/5): - Excellent location, safe, comfortable and modern furnished space.
The only down side was that they did not provide us a "Plug" for the bathtub so that i could not bath my two little kids despite it was mentioned that they have "bathtub" facilities.
When I requested it they said they will consider to provide it in future, so make sure you check with them beforehand if the bathtub facility is important to you!!
- Lisa (6/5): Wish - Could not get the wifi / TV working. Went without for a day and a half
- Vanessa (8/5): Awesome But The Oven Didn't Work - Our stay was a great experience! The apartment is in an amazing location. We went to Orchid nightclub which is literally steps away from the building. There's also a plethora of food places around. Our room was on the 15th floor and the view of the city was amazing. The only thing about the apartment was that the oven didn't work and there were some markings on the wall but aside from that I would recommend the apartment especially for the price and how many people it can hold!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Condo was on the top floor, great views of downtown.
- kevin (8/5): Great location - Great location for a weekend in Toronto
Close to restaurants, transit , shopping
Short walks to great areas like Queen st West, Eaton Center. CN tower.
Would stay here again
- Steve (4/5): Great location, mediocre service - Below average cleanliness and service. Hamper full of sheets/towels - not sure if they were dirty or clean. Washer/dryer still had wet linens in them when we arrived.
When we arrived at the front door, we buzzed the front door as instructed. No one answered. 3 times! So we stood with our bags locked out while security watched us (so embarassing) until another tenant was nice enough to let us in. We were finally contacted via email about an hour later. A request for a parking space was never even responded to.
Location is great. Close to grocery stores and attractions within walking distance. Just don't expect what you see in the pictures if you book here. For the price we paid there are a lot of alternative rentals out there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall my stay was pretty nice and hassle free. It's a good area with a great view and lots of stuff nearby. There was an issue with the water. They were doing maintenance and it prevented me from taking a shower an hour after it was supposed to be done. The beds were comfortable. The couch and chairs less so (though they looked pretty). Wi-fi worked, but was rather spotty for video.
- Anita (10/5): Great Stay - Great central location and easily accessible.
- ann (8/5): great stay - overall great trip - other than wrong number being on the web site and the parking fab not in room - the room was great and the manager was wonderful once we got in touch with him
- Verified traveler (2/5): not a condo - TV did not work and no free channels; no plug in bathtub; beds are not comfortable; no sauna; not clean overall
- emma (6/5): 4 day leisure - no communication from veeds or contact, TV didn't work, no bath plug in bathroom, noisy air b n b neighbours in room 3611and air con not working, so hot in room and thats october
- mai (10/5): A nice place close to everything in downtown - Very good experience with the place. Good location and easy checking in and out. The only complain is the guest room side was very noisy at night ( outside) . Overall it was very nice staying.
- Erin (8/5): High Views - The apt was on the 33rd floor and had great views. There were a couple of items that needed attention.
The sofa back was broken (cheap sofa) and you could only lean back on it if it was against the window and the toilet seat cover is round on an elongated toilet. For this price of a nice unit I would expect that these things would be taken care of. On our second night there was an issue with the elevator and they were not working. We had to climb the 33 flights of stairs to get to our room.
The facilities and condition would have a 5 except for the elevator experience as well as the overall rating.
There was no hotel staff since it was an apartment not a hotel, so it really should be N/A
- Verified traveler (8/5): Conveniently Located - This condo is close to everything. Just 10 minutes walk to Rogers Center, many great venues, pubs and restaurants just steps away.
Condo itself is bright and modern, with all modern conveniences included. Floor to ceiling windows on two side of this corner unit allow for exceptional views of the city.
Would have given a 5 out of 5 were it not for the fact that it is starting to show signs of wear and tear with black scuff marks on many walls and a poorly repaired hole in a closet door that is seen immediately upon entering the condo. Some windows badly needed cleaning, which really took away from the otherwise high quality suite.
- susan (8/5): Nice Unit, Quiet but Very Steep Price - Veeds Suites on Peter St., Toronto is a great location for the Toronto Film Festival - just a couple blocks from most events. The suite had 2 separate bedroom areas with a well-equipped kitchen. It was a quiet unit and the elevators were quick and always available. A couple issues we had: 1. Our reserved parking spot was not accessible the night we arrived due to failure to leave us the key fob to access the garage. We were reimbursed for the night's parking fee but it was an inconvenience. 2. We were only given one key to the unit and even when asked for a 2nd, were given keys that did not work; and on the 3rd day, were told a key was left at desk which it was not; by the 4th day we gave up and worked around not being in the same place at the same time. 3. The bed off the kitchen area was very uncomfortable and felt almost like it was just sprints. The unit itself was very nice, but the price was very steep at $376 CAD for each night plus $25 for parking.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Misleading information of this apartment - The information on the Hotels.com site stated 2 bathroom but the apartment only had 1. The photo of the apartment was the not the same as the one we were given. I rung the manager and left a message about the bathroom but we did not receive a reply. The oven had not been cleaned and one of the bar stools was broken. The toilet seat was not aligned and so moved when you sat down. The second bedroom had no door as it was probably intended to be a study nook. The big advantage of the apartment was the location as it was right in the Entertainment district and easy walking distance to restaurants and attractions.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Veeds Private Suites - Accommodation was a private 2 bdrm suite in a high-rise condominium. No on-site restaurant, but suite had full kitchen with non-food supplies. No phone service. Site was convenient to convention center and fine for short-term or long-term stay. Includes wi-fi and gym.
- Daniel (6/5): Overpriced and service is not hotel-quality - This is a nice "fancy-ish" apartment in the center city area. I had no idea this was not a hotel until I got there, my first time booking this type of place in Hotels.com.
Tried many times to call to extend my stay but no-one picked up; communication is not great.
Got to the apartment and the TV didn't work, failed to connect, again tried calling but no answer; sent an email and no answer either (not even 3 days after have I received answer or apologies).
Overall, if you want a place to stay with 1.5 bedrooms, like for 4 ppl, I would say it's ok, but in my case, traveling alone business, this was a terrible idea, service is bad, and you are overpaying for flat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location in center town, nice building and amenities. Good value.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay. - Had the best time. Would stay again. Clean and everything was perfect.
- sasha (10/5): Loved it great location - Awesome place only thing 2 elevators where broken with only 1 working was abit of a wait other then that loved it !!
- Steven (8/5): Great location, very nice flat - We loved Toronto, even though stay was probably too short to get true feel. Flat was perfect with only a few niggles. First entry was not smooth, but someone opened the front door for us and after that it was easy. Also, the flat was too warm for us and could not operate heating system. We really appreciated that there was coffee provided and that small supermarket was just steps away. We would recommend this place.
- John (8/5): Great location and very clean - Great location to explore the lake Andy the many tourist attractions. Particularly handy for the CN tower and aquarium and within easy reach of every sporting venue.
Only 10 minute walk to Yonge street and the main shops and underground stations even closer.
Really good views of the city from the apartment and really good facilities on site
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great condo. View is amazing and location is great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This condo has great view from the northwest corner on the 36th floor and is complete with modern appliances and furniture. The entrance lobby is quite small but expected for newer condos these days. Location was conveniently close to Spadina Ave, Queen St. W, King St. W. and not far from Yonge St. The cost was somewhat high but expected at this time of the year.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Great location and apartment facilites e.g. kitchen set up extremely well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay for business! - All around excellent stay!
- Spragette (10/5): Weekend Getaway. - Was in town for a long weekend for a conference with some leisure time. This location was great for the four of us, two couples because it had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Close to shopping, restaurants, and the Metro Convention Center. The condo has amazing city views from the 36th floor. It was convenient to be able to eat some meals "at home" using the kitchen. I would definitely stay there again. Check in was easy and the rate was fair.
- Josée (10/5): Perfect with AMAZING views. - The suite in perfectly located in downtown Toronto. The suite is relatively new and the view of the 36th floor... is A.MA.ZING !!!! We rented the suite for 2 nights. The suite includes a full kitchen and everything is included if you want to cook your own meal at the suite. On top of that, you can't beat this price for 2 separate bedrooms in downtown Toronto.
In addition to being an amazing suite, Katerina (the owner) was nice enough to store our luggage on departure day and meet us outside the building to deliver them before we left in the evening. She went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Thanks again Katherina !
