• Debra (8/5): - Updated, clean and comfortable, small motel very close to the restaurants and shops of Blowing Rock. There are 2 gas fire pits and a gazebo for outside socializing. Checking in at the sister property, Meadowbrook was a little cumbersome.

I asked about this and they said they looked and didn't see anything. It was light enough that if I moved to the other side of the bed it was okay, but a bit annoying to lose sleep over something like this until I figured that out.
• pinkcheetah (10/5): Nice stay in Blowing Rock - Location was perfect for walking to everything in Blowing Rock, rooms were neat and clean. Some may consider them small, but for a night or two in the town, it's great. Nice sized TV, refrigerator, quiet and price was super for location.

Close to main area of blowing rock restaurants/park/shops. Short drive to app skin mtn Older. So some small issues with cleanliness and maintenance impossible to not hear neighbors. Doors are loud Makes it tough if going to sleep early or a light sleeper

• Barker (10/5): We booked this property to bring our kids skiing. It was perfect! - The location is unmatched. Cute, clean place to bring the kids and close to skiing! We would definitely stay here again! Easy check in and check out. There were only decaf K-cups in both rooms we booked. While this was not a huge deal because there are lovely coffee shops within a short stroll it may be a big deal to someone else in the future.
• Jessea (10/5): Updated motel style property, central location! - I liked how clean the room was. This is a 'motel' where it is possible to drive your car right in front of your room an unload your luggage directly in front of your room. The parking spot is reserved in front of your door. I prefer this to the 'hotel' style where you have to unload your car onto a luggage cart and take it 200 feet to the eleveator to the 4th floor to the end of the hall and back to your car at the end. The room was clean with plenty of room. It has definately been updated, We had plenty of hot water for our family of 4. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants in town. Close to ski slopes. Check in was super easy and everyone was pleasant. I brought a power stip but it was not needed as there were plenty of power outlets. The TV was super big with plenty to watch on TV. If I had to complain about something, I think the beds were a little stiff but I did sleep good.

But it could use some newer mattresses and updates a/c system. - The nostalgia.. the property is so cute and the room was absolutely spotless! When our air went out at 2:30am, I called the main office and the precious lady at the front desk walked up to our hotel room across the road to bring us a box fan to help. She insisted! The bed was extremely uncomfortable. And the a/c quit working at around 230 in the morning. (Which I know they couldn’t help)

• calypsoaw (6/5): Acceptable for a single night stay - The location is excellent for visiting the downtown area, approximately .1 miles from the start of the “strip”. Even so, it was quiet, no issues with noise from the street nor surrounding rooms. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It had a microwave, a refrigerator and a Keurig-like coffee maker. However, it had an old feeling to it, the air conditioner/heater blew the curtain up when it came on, the carpet was worn looking, and the room felt dark. It was perfectly fine for a single night stay.

The room was poorly organized (hard to see tv from bed), window in bathroom needed to be cleaned (looked moldy), bottle of complimentary body wash and shampoo in shower were half used upon our arrival, check in at sister hotel was unclear and confusing due to different communications sent (maybe a holiday change?) and the line to check in to our hotel was the longest that I have ever waited in due to checking in customers for 3 properties at 1 location.

• X4859HUdanas (10/5): A lovely little Inn! - We spent a few days at the Blowing Rock Inn and can’t say enough great things about it! The room was small, but very neat and clean. The only thing I would have liked to have had was more counter space in the bathroom. The setting is quaint and reminded me of the old roadside motels my family would stay at when I was a child. Being able to sit in the room with the screen really took me back. The fire pits outside were perfect, and the little sitting space across the street at the Azalea Inn was very comfortable. We met a lot of great people! The location is perfect, we walked everywhere we needed to go. We already have our reservations set for next year!

Flower beds needed weeding Yard man came at 5:00 to cut grass while we were in the gazebo. Had to listen to the lawnmower while we were trying to relax. He threw grass clippings toward the gazebo Dust drifted on us. He didn’t blow the clippings off sidewalks. Then we had to listen to the weed eater. No lighting on the walkway or steps going to the gazebo. No instructions to light the fire pit and no one was available to ask. I have one so I lit it. No over head lights on the gazebo. The coffee maker was not the cleanest Had to jerk the refrigerator door to open No ice maker anywhere—ice was provided in small bags piled in a deep freezer. Limit one bag a day. Sorry to be so negative Positive—linens were clean Staff that we saw (just when we checked in and those cleaning rooms were friendly Location is the # 1 positive—can walk down town which is beautiful, great restaurants ( Social on Main is the best for breakfast and lunch—great staff and food —very reasonably priced). The flower beds around town hall are immaculate. Great play ground in the park.
• m2Dixon (10/5): Great place for a getaway! - We stayed in the villa's to attend a friends wedding and it was absolutely a fabulous weekend. Close enough to walk downtown Blowing Rock. Weather could not have been any better. We checked in late (after 6) and had no problem getting the key from the Meadowbrook across the street. Room was clean. Enjoyed seeing the fire place in the villa, even though it was not cold enough during our stay to really enjoy it. Such a lovely place! Can't wait to go back one day in the future.

No water, 2 bolltles of water in the fridg would have been wonderful. The hot water was not hot, luke warm at best. The toilet made a really loud noise and the bath fan was very loud. The instructions to operate the living room TV did not work. Options were not there to select. The location is back behind the lodge, so it was not too senic. A bit of a disappointment.

• robertsZ6181SJ (10/5): Great Inn in the center of Blowing Rock - I was touring the Blue Ridge mountains with two friends on motorcycles and stayed 2 nights at the Blowing Rock Inn. The place was great and in walking distance to bars and restaurants and only 1.5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The inn is older but very well maintained and extremely clean. I would recommend this to any traveler who wants to stay in Blowing Rock.

• annette (4/5): - Needs updating. Ceiling fan rattling and getting ready to take off, dirty old carpet and broken bathroom fan. No extra toilet paper when we ran out. Move us to azalea inn across the street because of paving parking lot at blowing rock inn so this pertains to the azalea inn room.
• Maryrobin (10/5): - This is the most amazing spot in Blowing Rock to stay the night. It is so charming with a little front porch to relax on and look at the trees changing colors and the topography rising across the street. The gardens are meticulous as are all of the window boxes with flowers. The room is quaint, comfortable, and has all the amenities. The light in the room from the windows is so beautiful. The bathroom is brand new and absolutely large. Every little part of the room and bathroom is unique, not like a "big box" hotel. The staff was so friendly and polite. The marked parking with room number was perfect. I felt very safe and slept very deeply in the beds, comfortably tucked away from any noise but close enough to walk to town.

• Jessica (4/5): - Location is great to downtown Blowing Rock! The room had two window air units and were very loud, even on the lowest setting. Only lukewarm water for showers. If you flushed the toilet, it got a little warmer. Had to have matienience
• Connector665132 (10/5): Quiet Relaxing Cozy Inn - Wonderful little Inn! Walking distance to shops and restaurants! Clean and cozy. The outdoor fire pits and gazebo added to the cool evening atmosphere.

• twbailey76 (6/5): Lack of attention to detail - Excellent location, walking distance to most restaurants. Clean and neat. However, the AC did not work. There was no TV remote. Talking to our neighbors next door we discovered they had the same issues plus no hot water. This tells me there is lack of attention to customer needs. I will say the maintenance guy was incredible. This could be an amazing location, but the staff needs to step up.

Rooms were still being cleaned at 3:30. Carpet has spots and is wrinkled in places. Door swells making it hard to open and lock.
