The rubber seal broke from the chain and we had to put our hand in a slimy tank to flush it. Truly unacceptable. There wasn’t anyone to call since it was after hours. I informed them during check out. Would not return, especially for the price paid for this facility.

• John (8/5): A little pricey but adequate. - A comfortable room with a King-sized bed. Adequate bathroom. I felt that the facilities were a little overpriced for basic accommodation but Blowing Rock is a very popular tourist area so I guess the price is to be expected.

• hallie (6/5): - This is a decent place to stay and they are dog friendly which is what I love more than anything the rooms are nothing to Rave about but they are clean I do have one huge complaint which actually may stop me from booking there again and that is the air conditioner it is super loud it goes on for part of the night and then it completely shuts down but then it turns on again and then shuts down we really didn't sleep very well at all so hopefully this is constructive criticism for the management

It’s less than a 10 minute walk to Mellow Mushroom.The staff were extremely friendly and helpful which I really appreciated. All the rooms have rocking chairs of them which is nice for relaxing when the weather is nice.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Cute, clean, and convenient!! - A cute and quiet Inn! So clean and comfortable with excellent staff. Loved the close access to room from parking. The Inn is in a great location to get a little exercise walking to the shops and restaurants in the cute Main Street of Blowing Rock. The room had a smart tv and good internet service!
• Sandra (10/5): Great bang for your buck! - This quaint lodge is perfection located in downtown Blowing Rock alllowing walkabilty to many restaurants and shops.
• Tammy (10/5): Birthday Getaway - This was a couple of nights get away for my husband's birthday. It is an older hotel but clean and spacious and convenient to local food and shopping. I would have liked another side table and prep table. The front office/lobby was closed due to the season but they provided clear instructions and lots of information about the area.

• Charity (10/5): Great Value & Comfort for Family - Great accommodations for a family. If privacy is important, this is a great location for you. Also had a refrigerator, small microwave and dishes. Provided dish soap, personal soap, shampoo, conditioner & lotion. In room Keurig was nice as well.

• Michael (2/5): - The only positive thing about this place is the location. Walkable to town, shops, cafes. We arrived late because of a skiing day. Upon arrival, there was no shower curtain and several bulbs out in the room and over the sink, and the TV remote batteries were dead. The paint and walls in the bathroom were peeling with small nail holes visible. We called the office number where no one was available. So we called the after hours emergency number where they told us there was nothing they could do until the morning when staff arrived. After a day of skiing, we desperately needed showers before bed. What a disaster! We used all towels to clean the excess water. No one came in the morning to bring a shower curtain or more towels. After 3 calls throughout the day, we finally had to go to the office to track someone down. Very poor customer service. Not professionally dressed or handled. Had there been something else available on the holiday weekend, we would have left. No wonder it was fairly vacant when all the other quaint hotels were full. Do not recommend.

• Andrew (10/5): - We stayed at this location for a quick skiing trip. It was close to the slopes and even closer to many wonderful dining options in Blowing Rock. It is small and family owned and the service was excellent. They even called in advance of our stay and made sure we had no questions. If you are going to the Blowing Rock area definitely worth the stay.
• Heather (10/5): Cozy stay - We come to ski every year at Beech or Sugar. We normally get a hotel but this year we wanted something different so we tried your lodge. We will be back. We may also come in the spring. Thank you for a great stay.

Our room actually had a living area with large wrap around couch and a small table with 4 chairs in addition to a separate bedding with 2Q beds. Harden was very helpful at the front desk. We walked to our restaurants and through town.

• ROBERT (4/5): Deceptive Pics Made Us Choose Poorly! - There was a loud pitch noise as the cold water went through the pipes. You could hear this noise in the building and out of the building. The noise was loudest in our room. An employee did move us to another property, but Boxwood Lodge is a no! The pictures are deceptive as heck.

• Shelley (10/5): - We have loved our times at Boxwood. It’s right in downtown Blowing Rock for an easy walk to all the stores and restaurants. The staff is always super nice and helpful.
• Nancy (8/5): Nice place, terrific shower - Very pleasant room with nice appointments: microwave, under counter fridge, single cup coffee maker, and a large tv, prominent recycling bin - some places don’t have those anywhere. It would have been nice to have a second chair, even a basic straight chair, because it was a chilly night. Easy walk to downtown, which was helpful. I had one of The Best Showers of the last several years. Hot, with excellent water pressure, and easy to use controls. This may seem basic but it truly was an exceptional shower!

We had to flip over a garbage can to place the keurig on because cord did not reach from microwave where it was placed originally. However nice place for price.

Decorative lights on our building did not work. Only one nightstand and no updated plug ins for devices. Could do updates in room that would make a better customer experience.

We always check everything before we make our decision to as if we're comfortable staying someplace. The room had a bit of romantic charm to it. The staff was exceptional also exceedingly friendly & helpful. We woke up to a little surprise as it had snowed 🌨 all night. I was actually pleased to have our first ❄️ snow so early in the year. We would irrefutably recommend this place 🌞

We were even welcomed by a deer passing by. The room was perfect for two people, had everything you would need for a night. The bed was comfortable. We had a very restful night.

• Betty (8/5): My review - The room itself was clean and tidy. My complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable and the mattress was old and needed to be replaced. The refrigerator was great, Did not use the microwave. Enjoyed the pod coffeemaker. The only ice maker was in another building,.Also did not look anything like pictures. It was overpriced for what you got. Reviews were misleading.

The heater/air conditioner would only run for about 3 minutes and then shut off - not really achieving the desired temperature. The shower head was a water saver type that shot a little water very fast.

Traveling on motorcycles and the threat of rain coming in the day of checking out. We choose to head home a day early to out run the rain that was coming.
