When I arrived I found out mini golf was not included unless you book with them directly. I booked the hotel thinking we could play for free.

• Patricia (8/5): - It had everything we needed and above all it was clean. Comfortable. Worked out great with our small dog. There were many dog's there. Location was good. The mini golf was a fun extra, $7 per person.

• Ashly (1/5): Terrible value, moldy room - I have stayed here several times before and had a good experience but this time was different. My room smelled like mold, there were signs of mold in the shower, tub smelled musty, and things looked dirty and worn. There was also no microwave in this room which seems crazy for something billed as a “suite” (the room was tiny). I also called to see if we could have a little extra time to check out (1 hour) because my toddler slept in, but they said they would charge me $20 for an extra hour. I’ve never had a hotel charge me for a slightly later checkout and it’s the slow season here, and a Monday so I doubt it’s a huge inconvenience to accommodate me. I will never stay here again, plenty of other accommodations in this town that are a better value and won’t try to nickle and dime you for subpar rooms.

The room was clean and everything adequate for our family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers. I didn't like that the rate quoted for the 1st night was not what I was charged on my credit card (higher by several dollars) and I especiially didn't appreciate that additional charges (over $300) were added to my card, and then subtracted from my credit card but several days later! This is in addition to the charge for the two nights. Frankly, I felt I was scammed and for this reason I would not stay @ this hotel again.

We requested to be upstairs so there wouldn't be the potential for noise from people walking above us. There were plenty of towels available. We found the room temperature a bit too warm. We didn't use any heating but perhaps it warmed up from the sunny weather. I know that this may be a personal preference and not at all be an issue for other guests, I am from a cooler country.

Beds were great and the table was much appreciated. We also really enjoyed having a fan in the room as it would have been stuffy without it. We had a room right at the front corner so we were very close to the road (noisy with window open and felt less safe to keep the windows open for airflow overnight). Not a deal breaker at all, just not ideal.

• Mary (5/5): Pick a different hotel if you want air-conditioning and a clean stay - The location was amazing. It was very close to Seaglass Beach. It was filthy. There was trash everywhere. There were crows ripping trash apart in the parking lot. There were empty beer cams everywhere and somebody looked like they dumped an empty cooler full of empty beer cans on the steps to go up. We had to check in at one location and drive to another location. It was hot and sweaty, and the rooms have no air-conditioning whatsoever. We had to call because the remote control and the TV didn’t work. It took forever for them to send somebody to fix it. The value is not there. This place has way too much deferred maintenance. You have to slam the doors to get them to shut. Everything was dingy and dirty and needed a deep deep cleaning.

• Madeline (8/5): Charming and a great deal!! - Super soft beds! Very cozy. The emerald dolphin inn is charming and a cute motel. Staff was friendly upon arrival and check out. The room itself seemed very clean! The decor was very cute as well. The location is fantastic and close to the beach!! Definitely visit glass beach while visiting here!! It was so cute but if I could change one thing it would be adding an AC unit, There was no AC unit which was the first time I’ve ever stayed anywhere where an AC unit was not in the room. There’s one in there but it’s a very old one that’s not functioning. There were 2 fans in the room though that were provided if you wanted them. I’m not sure if that’s normal for motels along the northern coast of CA but we stayed at another motel next to the border of OR and CA by the beach and that one also did not have an AC unit. Could just be common along the northern coast!

• Michelle (2/5): - Our room was up a flight of stairs with my 80 year old mother, 11 year old granddaughter, & I had just had knee surgery 9 months earlier. The room was dated, TV didn’t turn on because someone had unplugged it, the fan in our bathroom was super noisy, our neighbor had something that was vibrating the walls. Our room was super hot & they had a free standing fan by the window. Then in the late afternoon 7 huge dump trucks come & back up numerous times with the “beep” “beep” “beep” every single time, which seemed to last for over 40 minutes! And we were at the far end room, so the internet only worked intermittently, my granddaughter was trying to do her homework. We checked out 2 days early!! Does NOT look anything like the pictures!!
• Janet (6/5): - The use of space in the room was rather odd, giving a feeling of clutter. There was a persistent hum 24/7, which thiugh not real loud, was particularly annoying. The WiFi was unsecured and as such was not used as wireless reception was adequate. Not sure if we'll stay there again though the staff was very nice.
