• 초롱 (8/5): 가성비 아기 온돌방 완전추천 - 경포호 경포해변 강문해변 모두 도보권이라 주차걱정없이 갈 수 있어서 매우 좋았고 데스크와 청소 직원분들 모두 너무 친절하시고 항상 웃어주셔서 숙박내내 기분이 좋았어요 비싼 호텔 대비 오래됐다고느낄 수 있겠지만 깨끗하게 관리 잘 되어있고 화장실도 깨끗하고 특히현관 전실이 다른 호텔보다 훨씬 넓어서 캐리어랑 유모차 모두 두고 방을 넓게 썼어요 가격대비 너무만족이라 아쉬운 점 없습니다. 다음에 또 강릉을 간다면 또 묵고싶습니다. 창밖이 다른숙소뷰라서 계속 커텐을 치고 있었던 아쉬움

• Woorim (9/5): Great location to Gyeongpo beach with reasonable price. But some noises out of nowhere. - Location is great, just a few minutes walking distance to the beach. Even I didn't ask for, but they gave us the room with ocean view, which was so great in the morning. The room and bathroom were clean and the staff are very friendly and kind. Not a major problem -- It was not very soundproof, so I could hear other guests from the next room. There were also some noises from out of nowhere (it sounded like a heating boiler), which slightly affected my sleep.

• Faith (8/5): Nearly perfect stay! - Great location! Near a bus stop and the beach is easy to get to. Facilities felt a little old but not uncomfortable. Bathroom was huge! No shower curtain though. Great TV and wifi. Smells clean. Several marts nearby. Can walk to popular restaurants and cafés. Lots of storage. Some stains around the place and old art. Needed more toilet paper and soap. Room is a little cramped (couldn't really enjoy the table and chairs). Nearly perfect place but just a little small and low stocked.

The bathroom/toilet is an open combination of washing and showering. Not so evident and dangerous as water is spread all over the bathroom. The cent in the hallway/hotel is peculiar and not so agreeable.

• Professor_Kimchi (8/5): Nice friendly hotel - August 2018 - OK, first thing is I think this hotel has changed hands from the Benikea group and is now family run. How do I know? have stayed in previous years for summer beach holiday and the name and staff are different. I have read the negative reviews and in my humble opinion these are undeserved. It is a great little hotel that "does what is says on the box" It is well priced compared to other hotels along the beach at peak season. Room clean and well appointed for price range, comfortable bed. Very close to beach and sea front. This is well recommended for nice friendly competitively priced beach hotel in the month of August.
• gyanfernando (8/5): Charming Hotel - Quite a small hotel contrary to the pics that appear on the web but still a nice hotel. The location is good and just a 100m to the waterfront and all the restaurants and small supermarkets. The rooms are big enough, clean and with good bathrooms. There is a lot of shampoo, body wash, razors, lotion etc but no tea or coffee in the room. There is a small bar and restaurant in the hotel open until 2100hrs. The breakfast room is small but nice and the staff will serve you at your table. Breakfast was good and individually prepared. Beware that breakfast is served rather late but if in a group, like we were, one could call the tunes and ask for an early breakfast. Nice hotel and a nice experience!
• dytt65 (6/5): Nice hotel - It's a nice hotel very close to the beach. The breakfast was very interesting! You sat down and the waiter served you a plate with scrambled eggs, sausage, watermelon etc. and there were some toast and orange juice on the table. The waiter also served you some coffee.
• tonybK5088PR (4/5): Could be considerably better. - Positives: The hotel presents itself quite well. The room was spacious with a single and queen bed provided. The room had enough space to place our bags and backpacks – and still have plenty of floor space. The beds, while firm, were comfortable enough for a pleasant nights sleep. Two comfortable chairs and a table allowed room to sit and read etc. The restaurant was a lovely space to sit, with lounges to one side around the window space, with dinner tables in the middle of the floor comfortably seating four adults. Meal costs – a moderate menu was available – came in at 10 000w or less. Staff were quite polite and attentive, despite limited English. Maybe we should make the effort and learn a little more Korean. Beach is easily accessible through an alley outside the back doorway of the hotel. A 7/11 is also nearby. Negatives: While the cost of the hotel was a reasonable $80 / night, items such as tea and coffee making were not provided – no cups, spoons, tea, coffee etc. Strangely hot and cold water WAS available in the foyer of each floor. The bathroom has the usual amenities - shower, hand-basin and toilet / bidet. What was strange was that the wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom was made of glass – which meant if you didn’t pull the shower curtain across (yes, it was on the glass wall side, with glass on the other) you were in view whenever you used the bathroom! Other niggles were: • INTERNET with a password which you weren’t told and couldn’t find out; • TV where you had to experiment to sort out how the control worked; • AIR CONDITIONER that could not be set (in most hotels these are controlled centrally and playing with the control is pointless). Unfortunately for most of us 25˚C was too warm – no air circulating. • hot water – well, it was lukewarm in the morning AND evening - not hot! • Bathroom starting to show age with some mould and patching on tiles. Overall I was disappointed with this hotel. While only spending one night in Gangneung, I’m sure there would be better options in the area. Gangneung is a beautiful city, well set out and with plenty to see. Would definitely visit the area again.
