Didn’t fully understand how many stairs there was. We navigated it slowly as we were on the bottom level, -3. But it was disclosed in the listing so our error.

Very convenient location near the train station. A little walk from the historic center but it was nice to be away from the crowds. The building was old and the bathroom fuse went out on our last morning. It was fixed very quickly. The pull out couch in our room didn't have a great mattress, but the main bed was comfortable.

Close to train station, bus stops and shops, restaurants. The breakfast was outstanding at the Cafe Saudade included in the room price. Staff very helpful and friendly. Communication with - We loved the vintage feel and decor yet the rooms had modern comforts (updated and clean bathroom and spacious room with seating and tea in rooms). We only got to stay one night, and had an early tour the next morning so we couldn’t take advantage of the included breakfast. Wish we could have had a voucher to at least enjoy a coffee and pastry later in the day.

The common room , port tasting, library, comfortable bed and the front desk staff so helpful!! etc That we only booked one night and had to leave early in the morning so could not take advantage of breakfast!

• Julian (9/5): Wonderful hotel with great spaces and period features - Receptionists, breakfast, size of room, shower, free port and lovely lounge. The breakfast spot is located a block further up a hill. Not a problem in itself as it wasn’t raining, however the door was locked and no one was around to open it for us so I had to return to the hotel to get the receptionist to call ahead to open it for us. Despite this the breakfast was excellent.

• Na87 (10/5): - Our stay in Chalet Saudade was exceptional, from the guide and attention from Cristina and the staff, the beautiful Chalet, spacious and luxurious rooms, garden and the location, we really wished we could have stayed here during our whole trip. The views from all windows/veranda from our room were magnificent, from Castelo dos Mouros to Palacio Nacional, the furniture and decor made us feel like real life princesess, and the breakfast was hearty to get you going through a day of exploration. If you have issues with stairs, consider you may want to havr to climb them inside the chalet or bring the luggae in several trips, or ask the staff for a bit of help, which they were able to accommodate. Definitely worth booking and we will most than definitely come back to the Chalet.

Plusieurs personnes clients n’avaient aucun respect le soir tard en descendant les escaliers et en parlant fortement ce qui résonnait directement dans ma chambre, heureusement j’ai appelé la responsable de nuit qui m’a changé de chambre sans attendre !

The chalet is a beautiful renovated old building a short walk to the historic centre.the room was spacious and there was a shared rest area with honesty bar. Had it been war we would have enjoyed the garden too. Water was not very hot for the shower.

E a recepção atenciosa da Catarina reforça ainda mais a sensação de hospitalidade bem executada. O café da manhã merece um destaque à parte. Servido no Café Saudade, a poucos metros da pousada, ele não está fisicamente integrado aos quartos, mas funciona em perfeita harmonia com a proposta do Chalet. E, na prática, isso só valoriza a experiência: simplesmente maravilhoso e saboroso. Um lugar que entrega charme, conforto e, principalmente, uma hospitalidade que não passa despercebida.

• Debra & (9/5): Very unique - Location was very good. Staff were outstanding. Best rooms in house are 10 and 11. The balcony doors open to a beautiful garden. We spent our siesta enjoying the garden. Hotel has lots of character and we loved it.

Bei offenem Fenster waren gelegentlich die Klimaanlagen bzw. Lüftungen anderer Zimmer hörbar. Zudem sind die Türen etwas hellhörig, sodass man Geräusche vom Flur wahrnehmen kann. Da wir jedoch in der Nebensaison gereist sind und insgesamt wenige Gäste vor Ort waren, war es insgesamt sehr ruhig und unsere Nachbarn angenehm rücksichtsvoll.
• Arne (10/5): Över förväntan! - En mycket charmig och vacker fastighet. Vi fick ett mycket vänligt bemötande med bra användbar information om Sintra. Vi fick också bra anvisning om var vi skulle parkera bilen. Väldigt gästvänligt att bli bjuden på Portvin i den vackra glasverandan. Trevligt också att få tillträde till trädgården. Egentligen ingenting. Allt var till belåtenhet!

• Susan (10/5): Charming accommodation - Charming accommodation with very helpful staff. Got lots of great recommendations on sites. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location is a pleasant 10 minute walk to the main center. Quiet. Very clean and tastefully appointed.

• Marisa (10/5): - The property is located very close to the train station and the center of the villa. Their cafe where breakfast is served is also very conveniently located. The rooms are exactly as described. Bed was very comfortable, room had air conditioning and was sound proof. Nice outdoor spaces to enjoy too. There is complimentary port wine on arrival and an honesty bar with lots of different options. The chalet is gorgeous and the staff was very helpful and welcoming. There is nothing I disliked about the property and I would love to come back.
• André Santana (10/5): Challet típico no coração de Sintra - Chatllet típico de Sintra, muito bem restaurado, sem nenhuma adição que o descaracterize, ou lhe tire o charme original. Quartos com uma boa área e uma limpeza notória O staff de check-in e check-out foi sempre muito simpático e, não só acomodou bem a nossa chegada já tardia, como nos deram um free upgraded room. O pequeno-almoço incluído vale muito a penas, não só pelo café em si, mas também porque acomodou uma versão vegan bem recheada de fruta, compotas e até tostas. É um local que gostaríamos de voltar e passar mais tempo, mesmo nas zonas comuns, que têm vários jogos e bebidas. Não há nada que tenha sido mau. A única coisa que podemos apontar como menos boa é o jardim exterior estar a crescer um pouco sem regra, mas após as várias tempestades que têm acontecido, é mais do que expectável.
