Guest Reviews
- Peter (6/5): - It appears fine but management Please clean under the bed frames it’s filthy
- YOSEPH (2/5): - It's old
- KERRI (6/5): - Very old and not kept up. Coffee maker was broken, bathroom window wouldn’t close, no peep hole in the door, no WINDOW in the front, felt very claustrophobic and safety concerns!
- Jamesley (10/5): - Yes
- Joanne (6/5): - A definite throwback. A bit stuffy in the room. Not dirty, just stale
- Thomas (2/5): - The entire place “is sad and tired”
in every way.it did appear that there were people there engaged in what is called “ the worlds oldest profession”. After visiting family we did not even spend the night in that room. Lastly and most importantly the place did not feel safe.
- Manuel (2/5): - The property is outdated and needs to be upgraded.
- Erika (10/5): - No complaints!!
- Amanda (6/5): - The room was good for the price & location. Bathroom tiny, but shower was large & good water pressure & temp. Bed was sideways in the middle of the room so no way to prop yourself up to relax. Pillows were super flat. Housekeeping came by at almost 9pm, too late for us after a day walking around the city!
However, it was a great location to catch the train to NYC. Would stay again & town was really cute.
- John (8/5): - Staff was very helpful and cice
- John (6/5): - Staff was very nice
- RAMJATAN B (10/5): - Excellent
- James (10/5): - Inexpensive, & safe
- Londa (10/5): - We enjoyed the place and it was close to all amenities.
- Dmitry (8/5): - Nice large rooms
- Henry (8/5): - Good lol cation
- Myfanwy (10/5): - Of the five times I have stayed there the I have always enjoyed the location and amenities. The quiet and peaceful setting holds the most value.
- Shadmaan (10/5): - Wonderful check in staff. Super cheap hotel, excellent value. A 24 hr McDonald’s is available within 4 minutes walking.
- Arnold (6/5): - Good location
- Ronald (10/5): Needs Updating - Facility was very clean. We only stayed for one night. It had a very nice refrigerator and microwave. For a short stay we would go there again. The facility needs to be updated.
- Bertrand (2/5): - Property is well located, across the high school and not to far from Mamaroneck avenue, the heart of the village.
However, the hotel is outdated and the room wasn’t clean at all (sticky furniture, floors, dust and dirt, sheets / comforter). I was scheduled to stay for 5 nights but I checked out after 1 night.
Staff refunded me for the other 4 nights.
A deep upgrade would be needed.
Not sure how this location has a 6.4 rating…
- Ove (8/5): - Beregnet på prisen for værelset, var faciliteterne helt rimelige
- Madeleine (8/5): - Not expensive well located. Need to be refresh
- Stephen (4/5): Some good, some not-so-good - I'm not one to bad-mouth businesses, but I also think people should know what they're getting into....
This place locally can be rented by the hour. The room I was in (room 11) had no lamps, the furniture, tables, walls, and bathroom were all in disrepair. The shower was hot and the cable was good.
- Stephen (8/5): Good hotel stay. - The stuff we’re friendly & helpful. My wife likes to watch TV & there were lots of channels to watch. The beds were comfortable. We wanted to visit NYC & the train station was a 15 minute drive away.
- steven (4/5): - Although the rooms at the motel are supposed to be smoke free, my room had an odor. In addition the floor was dirty. It’s clearly a great example of you get what you pay for. I won’t be going back. .
- Brian S. (8/5): - It was good
- Christine (8/5): - I'm a repeat customer for the last 20 years. Ownership has changed, but service has not changed. The rooms have been upgraded through the years, and remains a basic, clean, and safe place to stay that is reasonably priced.
- Connor (2/5): - Denied
- Mark (4/5): - It started with a sign for day rate for a minimum of 3 hours followed by sex traffic warnings in the room. Having the dumpster right next to the door and blocking the window. Everything was old and i would not have used the shower. The rooms were all smoke free but we needed to close the bathroom door and run an air purifier in the room because of the cigarette smell the Thai restaurant down the street was good
- Janet (10/5): - Front desk was super kind and helpful. Place was clean and had a unique setup. Parking was perfect.
- Duncan (4/5): - room was not cleaned or well-maintained. Internet went out. Shower was great.
- Ted (4/5): - This was a bit worse than I anticipated reading the reviews. I just needed a safe place to sleep while on the road. I was greeted by a surly clerk who ranted to me about not smoking in the room. (I don’t smoke)
The room was dirty, the floor was wet- so that your feet squished when you walked.
The give away was the notice that they also rented rooms in 4 hour blocks. That - and the attendant was in a booth make of bulletproof glass.
Fool me once!
- Bridget Megivern (4/5): - It was very outdated and a bit dirty. Needs lots of improvement- ceiling looked like it was going to fall in. Shower curtain had dirty stains. Felt icky.
- larry (10/5): - Old property. Clean rooms & bath
- Arnold (8/5): - It was a pleasant overnight stay, comfortable and clean room
- Beatriz (4/5): - It was a decent place to get some shut eye.
- Jocelyn (2/5): - The room had no bedside lamps for reading. The bathroom was moldy, there are no lugares racks to set your luggage on. The people were nice.
- Gerald (10/5): - Cost
- Stephen (8/5): - It was a very nice place to stay
- anthony (4/5): I guess you get what you paid for. - The place is old and not kept up. Floors were sticky. Ok for a cheap motel where expectations weren't high to start with.
- Chris (8/5): - Nice place. It’s an old motel and that’s what you should expect. Nothing fancy. But there have been some updates and the room was as clean as could be expected. A relatively cheap place for a night. It was quiet and convenient.
- Lillian (2/5): - Sooo disappointed the place was dirty and it smell bad 👎
- Pricilla (10/5): Great Motel in a convenient are with a great price - The Motel was very clean and comfortable the front desk attendants were very nice and helpful the rooms were clean and it’s in a quiet and convenient area and I will definitely be visiting again 🙏
- Jordan (10/5): - Not the cleanest, but decent. Easy check in and good prices.
- Leslie (2/5): - Bed bugs.
- BERNARDO (8/5): - The place was quiet. easy access. good place to spend the night
- Verified traveler (4/5): Gross. - You can certainly do better. Clear evidence of drug use in the room, shower dripped all night, tiny, with no light. Just disgusting. Better off sleeping in your car.
- John (4/5): - Floors not clean, sheets had spots, shower leaked all night, sink too low and too close, knees under the sink when using the WC, bathroom tile mismatched, caulk and plaster where there should be no caulk and plaster. Windows drafty. Windows need privacy curtains. Pillow flat useless.
- Patricia (10/5): - We have stayed here before it is clean, reasonably priced and convenient
- Kyung Woo (4/5): - Bathroom is not clean.
- Tim (10/5): - Very nice place
- DANIEL (10/5): My review - I just stay overnight one day a lot of wind noise
- Dorothy (6/5): - Fine for what was needed. Room had cooking odor when we first arrived.cleaning of room was incomplete.
- Felix (6/5): - Short stay a place to sleep close to my appointment.
- Bonnie (10/5): - Inexpensive but nice and quiet
- Roy O. (8/5): Not bad at all - At first glance, you might think this is a roach motel. But it is not. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood, across the street from Mamaroneck High School. It could use some updating. The shower is extremely powerful which is wonderful. Not bad for a first glance.
- Douglas (8/5): - no complaints
- Mark (10/5): - Nice, no frills room. No problems at all.
- Glenn (4/5): - This is place old & run down, not high standards of cleanliness. That said, it’s a bargain. When you’re arriving at 1am and leaving early in the morning, willing to put up with clean sheets, but a crummy bed cover, no blankets, you can save yourself $100 . If that’s not your style, pay more for a chain.
- James (6/5): - Close by nice size room
- Armando (10/5): - Very good prices. Very nice place. Nice personnel.
- Joan (6/5): - The location for us was perfect!
Great to be in the wonderful community of Mamaroneck!
The room was clean. The bathroom floor seemed poorly maintained so that made it difficult to know if it was clean. Toilet & sink were very clean! Shower head was broken so that the water spray was not adjustable.
It was very space & quiet!!
I will come back.
- George (4/5): - This motel is 10 steps below Motel 6
- Marco (2/5): - Worst room ever ..
Period
- JOSEPH (10/5): - A budget, no-frills motel with an accommodating staff - we were allowed early check-in - located in an area adjacent to many dining opportunities. We simply needed a place for an overnight stay following a social event locally and this did the trick compared to other hotels in the area with with much higher prices. Recommended for its convenient location, budget price and lovely staff.
- Joleen (4/5): - The area is very nice outside the property. The Motel itself is old and run down. The walls are buldged and deteriorating. The bathroom was tight and the shower was horribly small. Had to have the head replaced at 930 at night. The next day they had to come back because water was still going all over the floor due to wrong curtain. Room was dirty. I did not use the comforter or top sheet. Only 2 plugs that are not even close to the bed. Do not recommend.
- Sara (8/5): - The property was simple and well taken care of. No frills and that was what I was looking for. The room was very clean, great bed, excellent parking. It worked!! The staff was tremendously helpful answering questions. When I did not wake up for my telephone wake up call, someone knocked on my door. I was greatful to have this kind of respect, attention and service.
Expedia too did an awesome job. I needed to adjust my reservation and they totally helped!! They worked with the receptionist on the property and worked things out. Awesome experience.
- Laurence (4/5): - We got room 25, which is very outdated and not suitable for adults. There was not even 1 bed side table with a lamp. The electrical strip was lying on the floor. The room was definitely not the room I chose online.
- Verified traveler (10/5): i'll be back. - this is an older place but has been updated. thank you to front desk staff for letting me check in early. will stay here again the next time im in the area.
- Lagizaber Beyene (8/5): - The property is in a quiet and cozy neighborhood. And I have enjoyed my staff and really liked their friendly staff.
- Jacynt (6/5): - The location is grate but housekeeping is poor
- Kendell (10/5): - A very dated property
- Anthony (2/5): - I did not like the staff behind the desk I was made to wait about 20 minutes be I was helped yet I was the only person waiting to check with a reservation
- evelyn (6/5): - Rooms are old and smelly
- Karen (8/5): - Inexpensive. Nothing fancy.
- Claudette (4/5): - The bedroom and the bathroom had bugs.
- Lilya (10/5): - This place is nice and conveniently located. The staff is good. I probably will be staying more often here when I will be in this area
- Barbara (4/5): Probably won't return... - Outdated bare bones tired old place.
WIFI nonexistent. Barely functional.
Did have a good shower though
- Claudette (4/5): - Bathroom curtains need to be changed.
- claudette (4/5): - Need new bathroom curtains.
- Alesia (2/5): - They say no smoking yet my room smelled terrible of smoke I had to check out way early
- claudette (6/5): - Average
- Roxanne (2/5): - Too much negative stuff to list. Worker behind desk was surly, spoke limited English, and expressed no ability to explain why the hotel seemed to book differently through Expedia than the 30 we've stayed at so far this trip.
Gave us a double and a single instead of two doubles. Neither had a fitted sheet for some reason? Single came with one thin pillow and was on moveable wheels, making it impossible to sit upright in bed.
Bugs in the shower. Light switch takes a few tries to turn on and stay on (odd old hardware). Bathroom is TINY...like hard to turn around in. Shower water switched between hot and cold as it ran. No hand towels?
I can't explain how disappointing this was, after seeing decent reviews. It started bad and then got to the point where we were just laughing. Wish we could have gone elsewhere but we had had a long day and just wanted to rest. Never again obviously.
- Claudette (8/5): - Average
- Lima (10/5): - All was good
- Marya (10/5): - Very good customer service!
- Peter (2/5): - Good central location. The property is run down quite badly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs some TLC - The location is great, as was the service. The room, and the hotel in general, however, need some basic maintenance. The door locks are of the old push-button type, and thus not very secure. The chain lock on my room had only one screw that was in only part way. The room was clean, but had stained walls. The TV was viewable, but damaged.
- Ivette (4/5): - Only one outlet worked.
- brett (8/5): - The little kitchen is nice & sheets were clean
- Adi (2/5): - The floors were dirty. Housekeeping was aggressive and took the room key when I tried to check out. I paid for 2 double beds but received a single bed and a double bed. There was no walkway between the two beds and no trash receptacle for large items like a pizza box. Parking lot was not cleared of ice and snow after the storm.
- Pierre (4/5): - Nothing to like
- Tammy (2/5): - Kept getting kicked off the Internet it was dirty the bed was dirty. The heater took so long to heat up the room when it was so cold but inside lobby where the gentleman helps you pour service he was rude. I would never stay there again, but that’s what you get for staying in a two star hotel for Cheap.
- Arnold (8/5): - It was just for an overnight stop over on a tired day, so the place was great
- Kathryn (2/5): - Run down and filthy. Smelled like cologne when I walked in. (Is this a flop house?? Just a thought!) Doesn't even have fitted sheets, just two top sheets. The mattress cover needs washing. Pic and description said kitchenette, no fridge, not even a mini. Lamp wobbles. Curtains do not keep out light. Outside property lights were always on and when I woke up during the night I thought it was daytime. Did I say filthy? I wouldn't use the drawers or kitchenette cabinets.
- Holly (8/5): Surprisingly comfortable for an older hotel - I'll admit I have a soft spot for vintage 2 star motels. I needed a place to stay because of an overnight snowstorm. I tried to call twice to find out about how booked they really were, and nobody answered. The website showed they had only one room left, and it was true! This little hotel was totally sold out! I was grateful for a cleanish and quietish place to stay. The main rooms are spacious and appear to be recently renovated. Bathroom is semi-renovated but the shower was dark but had great water pressure and seemed clean. My room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The heat/AC was easily controlled. The bed was fantastically comfortable, slightly soft but supportive. My neighbors appeared to be having a domestic dispute but they have no control over that.... beware of the toilets, though. Plugged up despite my doing nothing. First time I ever had to plunge a toilet in a motel. I would stay here again though. It's a nice little place to rest in an area with no motels closer than White Plains and that's pretty far away in a snow storm. Also wanted to mention that the cleaning staff are very sweet and do a good job. Don't be scared off by old bad reviews. They are trying to keep this place up and it's an oasis in a desert when you need it! And p.s. it's close to Trader Joe's, Boston Chicken, and all kinds of good eats.
- Md Sajjadur (2/5): - There is no microwave woven, nor a mini refrigerator, not even an iron and hanger to hang cloths!
- Barry (8/5): - I didn't like the what we were told as the distance from the airport. We were told 7m, and it was 24m. Had to buy small bottle waters for $2ea. Otherwise, ok for relaxing
- vincent (8/5): - Very basic but could have been a little more clean. For the price it is what it is. Won’t find anything close to the price anywhere in the area
