• Steve (10/5): - Ms. Dawkins is a wonderful proprietor and person, and every local we met in the area was wonderful as well. The lodgings are a few short blocks away from a grocery store, the bus line, and one of the most beautiful beaches on the island (Elbow Beach).
• Murray (10/5): - A very quiet little retreat. Only got to stay one night because of flight delays. Miss Celia allowed us to use the kitchen upstairs as a consolation for getting there late. We were able to walk to the grocery store and cook supper there. Had the whole pool area to ourselves.

It has a full kitchen which was very useful. The owner was very friendly and nice. Overall nice place to stay in Bermuda.
• Gina (10/5): Everything I needed - Great central location to beaches, groceries and multiple bus stops. Spent three nights here and it felt like home. Room had everything I could have needed. Yes it is a little dated but the sheets were clean and the room was well AC’d. A perfectly well equipped kitchenette. Not the greatest water pressure in the shower if that matters to you. Celia was a delight, would stay again/ recommend for anyone looking for a simple and comfortable stay.

Near the beach and all restaurants.has a small patio set for you to enjoy the afternoon . A 10 min ride to hamilton. What i found the must unique was Celia the hotel owner . She is adorable. She is very friendly and had the time to chat with me for a while. Definitely it is a place to return and do Bermuda at your time.

I felt the utmost welcome, safety, and kindness during my trip to Bermuda and will definitely be returning. Clean, cozy, comfortable, and spacious and really felt like I was staying with family. I can’t recommend this hidden gem enough. Ms. Dawkins takes great pride in the property she built and cared for with a labor of love over the last 40 years. There’s a pool on property and a store right down the block for convenience. Not far from Hamilton. Great value! So happy I chose to stay at Dawkins Manor under the care of the absolute nicest lady on the island!

The stocked kitchen and the nearby grocery store allowed us to eat some meals in, which was convenient and helped save some money. The owner, Celia, was very kind and helpful, even offering to take us to the airport if our taxi didn't show up. The apartment was walking distance to Elbow Beach, and easy bus rides to Hamilton, the South Shore, and attractions in the North. I would recommend Dawkins Manor. Thank you for a lovely stay!

• Verified traveler (2/5): Not a hotel, no service - Private home renting rooms. 1. Room not ready for check in. Manager rushed the cleaning woman to finish, so the room was not really clean. Sink had hairs on it. 2. Daily cleaning suspect. The same dead moth was in the shower for days. Soap holder on sink not wiped down. Furniture stained and ripped. 3. Ants in bathroom and flying bugs in general. 4. Manager not always available. Had to track her down to ask for Wifi password, and other times couldn't find her. 5. Towels threadbare and ripped. I borrowed one, and manager was waiting when I returned to lecture me that it wasn't allowed. She said I should take a beach towel, and when I asked for one, she said it was $2 a day. 6. Two safes in the closet. When I asked for the key, the manager said it was $23 a day. 7. Brochure's "large entertainment room" is the house's living room. Manager uses to listen to religious radio, meaning neighboring rooms listen. 8. The afternoon I arrived, I asked for help scheduling a taxi for the next morning since I had an early dive trip. The manager avoided the question and said "maybe we'll call later". I booked my own taxi that evening. At 9pm, the manager knocked on my door to say she scheduled a taxi. I said I didn't need it, and she reprimanded me. The day before I left I asked for an airport taxi, and she would only lecture me about not using the previous taxi. I took the bus. 9. No water pressure or hot water. I gave up on finding manager and tried to find beaches with showers.

Although the guesthouse itself is not modern, we thought it an authentic Bermudian stay and were really happy with our room and the area. Highly recommend.

Location of the manor was excellent - there’s a grocery store down the street, 3 bus stops nearby, the Railway Trail is about a 5 min walk away, Hamilton and the south shore beaches are both a 15 min bus ride, and finally, Elbow Beach is about a 20 min walk away.

Bathroom seems to be recently updated. Nowhere we stayed in Bermuda had much water pressure in the shower. They rely on rain water so use it sparingly. Facility is a 3 minute walk to the food store and the bus routes so very handy for us because we did not have a car or scooter.

The appartment was confortable and all the thing that were not right on my arrival she fixed them. The room had clean services every day. I do not rate them higher because the little frogs made noise at night. But it will be great for a nature lover.

• Martin (10/5): - A wonderful and all too short stay. Celia is an amazing woman and hostess. Fairly easy walk to the world-renowned Elbow Beach (though look around for much nicer and quieter ones - there is no shortage of sand and sea in Bermuda), and a 10 minute drive into Hamilton. We usually stay in all-inclusive resorts but as this is not an option in Bermuda, Dawkins Manor is an excellent choice and you really get a sense of being a local. Recommend buying some groceries and using the kitchen as restaurant meals are way over priced and average at best, even in the more upmarket hotels. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay there next time we visit this beautiful island.

• Ksenia (10/5): - Very nice and economic place to spend few days in Bermudas. 5 minutes walking to the main road where you can catch a taxi or take a bus. Supermarket 5 minutes away, to get to Hamilton by taxi would cost $12, by bus $3.50. There is a restaurant like 7 minutes walking where you can have a breakfast o dinner. The room has fridge, microwave, teapot, coffee machine, easy to make something for a snack. The owner, Celia, was really nice and always ready to help. So defintely recommended.
• Amita (10/5): - Location, location , location. Right in the middle of island of Bermuda equal distance from Dockyard and St George. Everything is easily accessed by Bus. No 7 runs from a 2 min walk to South road to Dockyard and Hamilton. The Grocery store "Modern Mart" is just 2 min walk in same direction. Cecilia is a wonderful and hard working owner/manager she helped to make us comfortable. She puts her heart into making sure the place runs well. The pool was nice and clean but we could not use it as we were busy at the beach or elsewhere. I would highly recommend this place it made our travel to Bermuda wonderful and memorable.
• Jean-Francois (10/5): - Great property, was suitable for a large group with a kitchen and multiple rooms, does require taxi to get around, very nice beach short taxi ride away. Grocery store short walk very convenient. TV's did not work, pool was clean. Overall good property.
• Hongcheng (10/5): Great hotel and small island - We arrived on Christmas Day and all stores were closed. Luckily I contacted the hotel manager Celia before we arrived and she was so kind to pre-order a lot food for us and we had a great Christmas dinner. This hotel was quiet, clean, and the manager Celia was very helpful. The price is absolutely the best on this island. It is very close to Elbow beach, you can walk there easily. This beach is bigger than pink beach and you can watch sun rise and sun set on this beach. If you take buses, the stop nearby is called Modern Mart. You can buy packages of 3 zone and 14 zone bus tickets and it will be much cheaper than taxi. On the day to visit the caves, make sure you get there early, as the Fantasy Cave has limited capacity and will be booked out quickly. Will I stay in this hotel again? Yes definitely if I will visit Bermuda again. But this island is so small. We arrived 12/25, left 12/29, and we had visited almost every famous spots there within 3-4 days. We went to Hamilton (front st), pink beach (horse shore beach), elbow beach, St. George, dockyard, and crystal cave. If we had stayed one more day there, we would have a difficulty to find a new place to visit. Btw, we walked to glass beach (dockyard beach) from dockyard and discovered it is not worth our time. We didn’t visit any other beaches. Last thing, the rain was on and off when we were there. Bring an umbrella with you if rain is expected. Anyway this hotel is a great hotel and we had a good time there.

• Judy (10/5): - My stay was lovely, the room well maintained, it's an older property but well kept. The pool was refreshing and there is a local market just down the street. Across from the market & you may get a bus to any destination on the island. Very convenient for single travelers (or more). Elbow Beach in walking distance. I will be back.
• James (8/5): - Although there were some issues that came up while we were there (with a/c and hot water), the staff and owner really stepped up to get them fixed and make our stay comfortable. Much of it was outside their control, but they did everything they could to compensate for the mechanical issues.
• Yolanda (10/5): Bermuda Carnival weekend - It was great. The host greeted us and made us feel welcomed. Everything was clean. The kitchen and dining room were great for our party of 5. We came for Carnival weekend and it was the perfect place. Less than a minute walk to the grocery store and only a ten min walk to the beach.

My room was organized daily and they even set up flowers and a card for my post birthday celebration. Pool was very clean even though I only ised it 1 time, beachnis a small walk away. Ms. Celia guided me around the area and made my stay enjoyable.The market is down the street and buses 5 min walk. Hamiltin is full of shops and bus tickets, daily passes sold there which get you around bermuda easily? Even to the airport (30 min ride.from Hamilton)

• David (2/5): Stay From Hell - This was one of the worst stays we have ever had. The place was extremely dirty, with the provided dishes, plates, and utensils were all appearing uncleaned. There were numerous roaches and ants inside the common areas of the hotel. There was no wifi available due solely to the host refusing to share the access code and credentials. There was one person who was available to sign you in and if you arrived at the property and she was not there you had to wait for her to return. The host despite our putting up a do not disturb sign and asking that no one entered went into our room, and turned off the air conditioner to save on costs. This property was in Bermuda and she did so during the hottest part of the day which caused some food inside our room to spoil in addition to it being unbearably hot and uncomfortable. When we wanted to throw a bag of trash away the host complained that we had a small bag of trash and that it was inconvenient. We were forced to carry this trash bag onto a separate hotel property to properly dispose. Further, none of the common areas in the location were air conditioned and unbearably hot. The outdoor area was unkempt and dirty also.

• Frank (10/5): Location, Location, Location! - The Dawkins Manor Hotel had everything we hoped for! We wanted to be close to a beach, the buses, and a grocery store. We were right down the street from Elbow Beach!! One of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. You can take a swim and walk back to your room for lunch. Plus, the Dawkins Manor Hotel is centrally located in Paget Parish. It was very easy for us to explore this beautiful island by bus, and the bus stop was only two blocks from the hotel, on South Road. A large well stocked grocery store was right down the block from the hotel. We saved time and money by having some of our meals in our room. We had a king bed, TV, modern bathroom, Air conditioning and kitchenette. All the amenities you would expect, plus a pool! Celia Dawkins, the owner, was a lovely sweet lady who made you feel right at home! We couldn’t have asked for more.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - The space itself was nice and in a really convenient location to the beaches/Hamilton. However, the first day being there, we saw 4 cockroaches in our kitchen. Additionally, I felt like we were being nickel and dimed for anything. That included using the safe in our apartment ($5/day... never heard of a charge for a safe) and WiFi ($5/day per device). We got the WiFi the first day then the second day it was disconnected and couldn’t be reconnected..
• Violeta (8/5): - Location is perfect !!! Food market , beach , bus stop and scooter rental just 5 min to walk ! The owner was very helpful to us , a very nice person ! enjoyed our vocation !
• Aisha (8/5): 4 day stay - I stayed at Dawkins Manor with my daughter for about 4 days. Its a very nice, quiet place. Mrs. Dawkins is also very kind and helpful. There's a supermarket and bus right at the corner of her block to get you in and out of town.some suggestions get the bus tickets, it can take you all over the island and the airport. We rented a room with no kitchen but we had a lovely balcony and fridge to store food. There's a nice pool in the back and about a 10minute walk to Elbow beach.wI-fI IS $5 per day per device!
• Susanne (8/5): - had a "home" feeling....owner gave me an upgrade to a kitchenette; which made a difference, as I was talked out of motorscooter. I was able to walk to a market, beaches, and rent a bicycle. The weather was superb, after a week of worrying about hurricanes that were not a bother. Stayed a short time because of my budget. COULD RETURN!!!! Minnesota resident I WAS AWARDED A FREE TRIP BY MY AIRLINE COMP. THAT I HAVE JUST RETIRED FROM, OTHERWISE; WHO KNOWS?........MAY NOT OF COME...HAPPY TO HAVE SEEN WHAT I DID
