- Sarah (10/5): - Great location for dining and being close to Louvre, Notre-Dame, and metro options. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, considering that it’s in Paris. We enjoyed the breakfast twice and would’ve chosen to enjoy it more if we didn’t have such early tickets to attractions. The staff were lovely, regularly made us feel welcome, shared information, and greeted us every time we walked through the small lobby. We would definitely return.

The staff were so pleasant, a bonjour or au revoir every time we were in the lobby. And the also left out baked goods in the lobby……chocolate croissants…..mmm!

- Owen (10/5): - Despite being a 3-star hotel, this hotel genuinely felt like a 4-star hotel due to the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms, the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, and the quality and design of the rooms, this was a much better hotel than a lot of 4-star hotels we have stayed in Paris before
- Sally (8/5): - The location was excellent for visiting the Louvre, the Orsay, and even Notre Dame. The staff was outstanding -- very helpful in both French and English. There was a functional lift, which was a bonus. The rooms themselves were quite simple. I would consider them larger than many European rooms. But they were very dark, with few plugs for phones and appliances. The floor is uneven, as can be expected in old buildings. But the bed in one of our rooms was also quite uneven, suggesting the need for a new mattress or frame. The hotel lost hot water while we were there. It was restored later the same day. The bathroom was devoid of any plug except for a razor. And the mounted hair dryer had seen better days. There is no on-site bar or restaurant. But staff recommendations nearby were excellent. Overall, the hotel was functional. But it would benefit from some updates and amenities.

- Grace (8/5): NYE 2024 Stay - Our stay was from Dec 31mtomJan 4. We had an issue with the heating in the room (room 1) and was only sorted a couple of days due to the holiday. Despite this, we had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast and the service at breakfast was more than what you would expect from a 3 star! The gentleman in charge of the service was efficient, helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is in one of the very chic neighborhoods - restaurants, bars and shopping all within walking distance. The hotel’s small courtyard is also very pleasant. Will definitely be back.

- Michael (6/5): - I have been staying at the Hotel du Danube for several years, but this will be my last time. I love the location and the staff was terrific. However, the condition of the building had seriously deteriorated since I was last there. Rotting windows which did not open or close, the bathroom heater which did not work at all along with the absurdly small room made my stay less than ideal. For the amount of money I spent there, I feel these things should not have been issues. To the to the higher administration and owners of the building, I say good luck staying open.

It was very central to everything, like the Louvre and Notre Dame (both walking distance). The staff was very kind and attentive. When we arrived we found they had upgraded us to a very large room, which was so comfortable. There are several good restaurants nearby. Highly recommend. We would stay there again.

We loved the area; the little cafe next door was convenient and we enjoyed interacting with the staff there, as well. The area felt very safe, with. Monoprix only a 5-minute walk away, and we were within walking distance to many of our favourite spots in Paris, including the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Musée ‘Orsay, the Louvre, Notre Dame, Saint Sulpice the Tuileries. The breakfast was a standard continental breakfast with extras like ham, cheese, cereal, fresh fruit and eggs, so good value for money. We’ll definitely stay there again.

- Chermaine (10/5): Charming Weekend Stay - Perfect for a weekend getaway to Paris. I picked this hotel because it was walking distance to the Louvre and several shops. Pros: I found the staff to be warm and inviting. They offer a daily snack and a eco friendly water source for guest. Cons: There’s only one useable outlet in the solo room, so prepare accordingly. Also there was construction next door so there was a dumpster out front as an eye sore. Overall: Very good hotel

Two blocks to the lively areas of St Germain. 4-5 blocks to the river. My room was not fancy or huge but I have no complaints. The hotel has some old charm to it. The staff spoke English and were always around. Check in and check out were super easy.

Overall, as a single traveler I felt very safe in the area and walked pretty much everywhere from my hotel with the exception of taking a taxi to the train station. The staff was wonderfully polite and spoke perfect English so language was never a barrier. This was my second time in Paris and I know the rooms in hotels can be a bit small but something to consider with hotel Danube is that there is one elevator and literally one person can fit in it. Also the shower had no sliding door and the bathroom was very small and tight so unless you don’t mind leaving the door open to avoid feeling claustrophobic, then do your thing. I’m not sure if all rooms are this way but I did enjoy my stay here and would consider staying here again if I visit Paris in the future.

FABULOUS LOCATION. So, who cares?
- Verified traveler (4/5): Give the single rooms a miss - Nice staff, single room is a disaster. I booked very late, last minute and the condition of the room was just terrible. It was also tiny, dark and with a bathroom that smelled and was dirty.
- Danielle (10/5): - We were in a cute neighborhood in Paris. The hotel was very French looking. Beautiful wallpaper with matching curtains. The bathroom was large with a a great bathtub. The window in the bathroom overlooked the quiet little courtyard that had beautiful plants and white metal intricate tables and chairs
- Emma (8/5): Ok for a short stay - This property is in need of refurbishment, but conveniently located and priced accordingly. Good for a short stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room I got looked NOTHING like the pictures. There’s no AC, only a Dyson fan in the room. There are no plugs next to the bed. The room is very old, the carpet had a lot of stains and looked very dirty. Bathroom was small and uncomfortable to be in. The service provided by the girl who helped my was very good though, but that doesn’t make my stay any better.
- Simay (8/5): Good located Parisian Hotel with good staff - It is a very good located hotel with very nice staff. Even though we didn't spend too much time at the hotel, the staff was really friendly and respectful. The beds&pillows were super comfortable and the room was clean although it was a little bit small.

- Konrad (8/5): Good location and comfortable, but small rooms - Overall nice and clean, with comfortable beds, but rooms a bit on the small side. No tea or coffee included in the rooms either. Staff were courteous and we could store our luggage all day after checking out which was helpful.

- Steven (10/5): Very nice small hotel - Our flight arrived early but we were able to stow our luggage at the hotel until our room was ready. The room was ready when we returned and was clean and comfortable. The Hotel du Danube St. Germain is a very nice small hotel within easy walking distance of two Metro stops, several bus stops and the RERC at the Musée d’Orsay.

- Jacqueline (10/5): - When I read the reviews for Hotel du Danube, several mentioned the helpful front desk staff. I cannot emphasize enough, how much better our stay in Paris was because of the fine people who work there, not only the front desk staff, but also the housekeeping, bellhop & kitchen staff. The hotel itself is in a great location, a block from the Seine, close to the Musée D’Orsay, the Louvre & two famous cafés, Les Deux Magots & Cafe de Flore, for example. It is quaint, lovely & clean. We stayed in a family room for 3 people. The other reviews mentioned it being older, but clean & recently renovated. My thought is this, you can stay in the same type of hotel room anywhere around the world if you go to one of the larger chains. The Hotel du Danube has character, Parisian flair and the rooms we stayed in were decorated like a home. We felt like we had our own little pad in Paris! The courtyard in the middle of the hotel was modest & a perfect place to have breakfast, jump on the laptop or just sit outside in our private corner of Paris. Back to the front desk staff – their English is impeccable. They are friendly, professional, helpful and had suggestions for tours, places to eat, things to do and solutions for transportation issues that often arise in Paris. This was especially helpful as we traveled with a 91-year-old which they were very sensitive to. We appreciated their hospitality, were sad to leave and will be back! Merci Hotel du Danube!
- Scott (8/5): Great stay in a cool neighborhood - Staywwas pretty great. The room was big, the bed comfortable and the room was quiet. The only real problem was the shower stall didn't drain well and it's door leaked. Also there was strange smell in the room after we checked in. The staff took care of the problems rightaaway and we had a great time.

- Julie (10/5): Location and Charm - We spent two wonderful days in Paris. This boutique hotel has a great location, lovely rooms and wonderfully helpful and kind employees. Ahmed even made coffee for us as we were waiting for our taxi at 4:45am. The high temperatures in Paris had just cooled a bit, but we appreciated the air conditioning. If traveling in summer, request a room with AC. Loved the quaint decor.
