• Gill (6/5): - The member of staff who collected us from the airport was very friendly and obliging. We had no real contact with anyone else. There was no hot water and I had to wash my hair under a cold shower the next morning!

• Marianne (8/5): - Hyggelig lille Pension, hvor vi overnattede en nat, da vi skulle over med færgen til Skopelos næste dag. Upåklagelig afhentning i lufthavnen- fungerede fint. Hyggelig tagterrasse. Ikke for gangbesværede og familier med barnevogn/klapvogn, da tilgangen til pensionen fra byen/havnen er via rigtig mange stejle trapper.

Posizione scomodissima, in linea d'aria non distante dal porto e dal centro ma estremamente scomodo perchè arroccato in cima a Skiatos con un'infinità di scale ripidissime. pulito ma stanza molto vecchia, bagno piccolissimo e mote scale anche all'interno dell'albergo La colazione era inclusa nel prezzo in realtà non esisteva la colazione. siamo partiti alle 8 ma della colazione non c'era ombra Perdibilissimo da usare solo per 1 notte proprio per la comodità della navetta. Sicuramente è possibile trovare strutture estremamente migliori anche se modeste

• Valerie (8/5): - Stayed 1 night before catching our flight home. They picked us up from the port but couldn’t drop us to the airport at a time that suited us, so we couldn’t avail of that service. Lovely roof terrace to watch the sunset. Perfectly adequate for a 1 or 2 night stay.

La posizione è vicino al centro ma la struttura vale meno dei 92 Euro spesi. Per un soggiorno di 1 notte può andare, di più no.

• Victoria (4/5): Disappointing - View was lovely! Air conditioning worked well, lift from the airport was useful. We were offered a very kind glass of wine and crisps on arrival. The building (not the whole town) had 6 powercuts in the 3 days we stayed, the room was not particularly clean, towels very rough, bannisters on the stairs very wobbly and potentially dangerous. This could be a stunning accommodation but misses on many levels, what a shame. I am used to low star accommodation needing TLC but this was another level!

• Michael (10/5): - The drive to the airport was very nice. Margarita was very sweet even though we couldn't understand due to the language barrier, it was very nice meeting her. The pension was clean. It was in a convenient location to town, airport, and boat port.
• Margit (10/5): - This is a lovely reasonably priced Pension. The people are so nice. They do pick up from the airport which is great. It is walkable to and from the port and the shops, but beware, it is uphill and has steep steps, as is expected in Skiathos as it's on a hill. Fine if you don't have a suitcase but difficult if you do. The terrace on top of the Pension is stunning as you get a view over the roofs of the town. Have google translate ready when you check in as this was very helpful communicating with the owner's daughter to check us in. Ask for a ground floor room when you book. The stairs to the first floor are steep and narrow and i would not have been able to heave a suitcase up there. The room was simple but squeaky clean. So were the towels and the bedding. There is a tiny bathroom with a shower. Water was hot in the evening and warm enough in the early morning. The aircon worked. You need to bring water as the tap water in Greece can be iffy. We stayed for one night and it was ideal.

• Hannah u. Christian (8/5): - Good Location in Skiathos town. Friendly staff. Room gets cleaned every day. The room is a bit older but mostly kept in good shape. Shower head could not be fixed at the wall. Shower was tiny.

• Gaynor (10/5): - We stayed for one night prior to travelling over to another Island.We were met at the airport upon arrival and transported to the accommodation which was such a welcome bonus.On arrival the owners very kindly upgraded us to a better room with a lovely little balcony with a side sea view at no extra cost .Our room also had a small fridge.The Pension has a beautiful rooftop terrace were you can enjoy breakfast with fabulous views of the sea and Skiathos !!!! The pension is close to the main street,bars and restaurants of Skiathos. On the day of our departure we were again kindly driven to the Port for our Ferry crossing .For our short stay it was perfect and we would definitely stay again if travelling through Skiathos.Very welcoming hosts.

They provided two transfers (port and airport) at no extra charge. We were definitely treated like family. The room was quaint with a fabulous view! Check out the view!

• Helena (10/5): - The pick up from the airport and drop off to the ferry was offered without hesitation and hugely appreciated. Perfect stop over before the ferry to Skopelos. The view from the rooftop and coffee in the morning was perfect. Air con in the bedrooms and fridge was great for the kids. Very close to everything you need. I would recommend holding off car hire as the roads are very narrow. You'll spend less taking taxis when you need them.
• luigi (2/5): - Arrivati al pomeriggi con navetta che ci preleva al porto. All'arrivo non avevano ancora provveduto ad aggiungere il letto supplementare. Camera caldissima, lasciamo il condizionatore acceso ed andiamo a cena, percorso ripidissimo per arrivare in centro. Al ritorno salita sfiancante, arrivati in camera la temperatura elevatissima e condizionatore spento, lo riaccendiamo ma non funziona e non raffredda. Chiediamo di cambiare camera e ci propongono una camera 10 mq scarsi e senza finestra, praticamente un ripostiglio. Chiediamo di trovarci una sistemazione altrove e ci propongono una casa privata con ulteriori 100€, in tutto 96€ stanza tripla 30€ supplemento quarto letto 100€ altra sistemazione, in pratica un incubo a mezzanotte pagato come un 5 stelle, alla larga, location il alto con salita ripida per ritornare dal centro.

• Anna Lisa (4/5): - A mio parere, la pension margarita é prenotabile solo se si ha necessità di passare una notte a skiathos per poi dover prendere nave/aereo. Noi abbiamo fatto così e tutto sommato c'é di peggio. La famiglia che la gestisce é gentile, e poi offrono un transfer super utile. Il centro e il porto sono raggiungibili in pochi minuti a piedi tramite una stradina in salita. Ha una bella terrazza dove si fa colazione. Per il resto, non si salva nulla : camera, letto, bagno, pulizia, struttura, colazione.
• Karina (8/5): - La propriétaire est très gentille. Elle nous a accommodé lors de notre arrivée. Elle a nettoyé notre chambre en premier vu qu’on était déjà arrivées. On a pu laisser nos bagages en consigne. Elle nous a même offert un café! L’emplacement de l’hôtel est central. Il y a par contre beaucoup de marches à monter. Ce n’est pas nécessairement facile avec les bagages.

• Gretchen (8/5): - The real plus of this property is the customer service. They picked us up from the ferry port and the next day, transported us to the airport - all was complimentary. This is a basic budget hotel with accommodations that get the job done. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The AC cooled the place off decently well. The beds were a bit hard for our taste and they provided just one pillow. But we were only staying for the night to fly out the next day, so it was adequate to meet our needs.
• Anne (10/5): - Pension Margarita has amazing quality for the price. The place is incredibly clean, the A/C works well, and the shower was as hot as you’d want it. The owners very kindly picked us up from the airport and booked our day cruise (which gave us a discount). The location isn’t far off the water, and the roof terrace offers lovely views. The balcony is also nice. There’s a small refrigerator and they offer coffee in the morning. Very pleasant stay!
• Patricia (6/5): - We asked for a pickup at 8:00 in the morning to the airport. We thought we had all that arranged. We stood outside and waited until 8:20, but no pickup. We had to call again. We were late to check in at airport and lost our seat assignments.
• James (10/5): - This property was an extremely affordable option. The staff was extremely accommodating and kept the place very clean. Air conditioning worked well. We did not choose the continental breakfast option, so we cannot comment there. If you are on a tight budget, this is a great choice!
• FLORENCE (10/5): - Pension très bien située dans les ruelles de Skiathos. Calme, proche des commerces et restaurants. Tenue par des hôtes merveilleux !
• Verified traveler (2/5): Not recommended sorry. - + Airconditioner + Hostess helped us down with luggage when we came. Did not feel so welcomed tho, she didn’t even smile or say hello welcome. -Dirty. So dirty floors, left my white socks brown on the bottom. Spiderwebs in corners of walls and bed. - The bathroom floor tiles was also very dirty, i could wipe up dirt with wet paper from the inbetween tiles. I didn’t even want to shower there because of how dirty it was. - Trashcan for toiletpaper did not work to open with the push button so you had to manually touch the dirty lid to throw toilet paper. ❌- Says FREE transfer but does NOT offer free transfer, they wanted to CHARGE 10€/person. ❌- Noises, woke up every 30min or everytime someone entered the hotel, you could clearly hear when someone went in the stairs or open doors/talk. - On top of a hill with maaany stairs, would not come again. If you chose this hotel take a taxi up because it is not worth walking up all those stairs with heavy luggage. Do not chose this hotel if you have a disability or if you can’t walk properly/have a weak heart. -We got basement room, had to walk down small narrow steps with the luggage, no elevator for that.

The hotel advertises free transfer to the airport, but no one was available who spoke English to arrange that for us. I am disappointed with this experience.

• Massygreece86 (8/5): Relax in Skiathos - We stayed 7 nights last week in this Pension , located near the port and just 5 minutes walk from the main road , the famous Papadiamanti Street . The owner , Ioannis , has been very kind and he picked up us from the aiport late in the evening . The only reason because I have not gave them 5 stars is for the room , without the balcony , but you can use the terrace , with an amazing view of the Chora .
• Elisabeth (4/5): - The room and bathroom was in a very bad condition. Very hard beds but very effective AC. The staff couldn’t speak English. Very difficult to reach the Hotel if you have difficulties to move. However, they put in an extra bed for us which we appreciated a lot.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Skønt lille pensionat - Vi skulle bruge en enkelt overnatning inden afrejse fra Skiathos. Vidunderlig service af værterne og fri transfer til lufthavn. Terrasse med helt fantastisk udsigt. Kunne sagtens vende tilbage for nogle dage.
• katia (10/5): - Happy to have met Martha. Her hospitality, flexibility, and genuine care has made our stay feel just at home. The comfortable bed and pillow was just what we needed after a long day and the coffee with terrace view was just what we needed to start the next day. If I’m ever back in Skiathos, this is will I be staying.
• AnitaExplores (8/5): Great hospitality and spotlessly clean - Yannis and Marta are perfect hosts. They met us at the airport at 530am and took us to the port the following morning. The pension is spotlessly clean, our room was well equipped with AC, fridge, hairdryer, shower and toilet. Our veranda had glorious views across the town. Breakfast on the terrace is perfect with plenty of shade and the most fabulous views. The pension is perfectly situated , a short walk into town and directly opposite the Windmill Restaurant.

They wear the musk in the transport car all the time giannis and martha is professionals and very friendly people.The pension are nice and clean with everything you need.The balcony view were amazing,for sure next year I will be there again!
• TGP44 (10/5): Great hosts, great views, great value - Giannis and Martha operate a lovely budget pension above the port and tourist center, but not so far above that even someone like me with mobility issues has trouble getting there for restaurants and sight-seeing. The room was immaculate and, while not fancy, comes with all with all the amenities you will need, including a fridge, TV, good, quiet air-conditioning and storage space. Views over Skiathos Town are fabulous from room balconies and even better from the terrace. Breakfast was good coffee, bread and jam, and cake - I think there was also some cheese on offer -- delicious and enjoyed in a lovely setting. Giannis picked us up at the airport and Martha drove us to the ferry. Will certainly stay here again.
• Sandony (10/5): Great Stopover - Fantastic stopover on way to Skopelos. The Family run business is available to collect you from the airport and a comfy rest is on offer for the evening before any onwards journey. Great location and s thoroughly recommended hotel reasonably close to town. It is up a steep hill for anyone not able to negotiate this after an evening meal out, but we made it fine.

• UnicornABC (10/5): Highly recommended - Have stayed here quite a few times, and will certainly stay again. The balcony views are magnificent. Very friendly helpful owners, Giannis and Martha, who will go out of their way to help - they have not only collected and taken me to and from the airport but have also collected and taken me to the ferry port - important as the Pension Margarita is up on a hill, although it’s only a 5 minute walk down to the bustling port (but it’s about 15 minutes uphill). Good aircon, rooms clean. Rooms have basic amenities but still very serviceable, and everything worked including the small refrigerator. Breakfast on the scenic rooftop is large: orange juice, fresh local bread with butter & jam, freshly baked cake, toasted ham & cheese sandwich with choice of teas or freshly brewed coffee - no complaints. A glass of Greek wine is offered when you first arrive at the Pension, served on the rooftop. There are also comfortable sofas and lounge chairs on the rooftop as well as dining tables. This is definitely one of the better budget pensions in Skiathos.
• Cub_and_Monkey (6/5): I want to give it more but can’t - The people who run this hotel are fantastic they picked us up from the airport and dropped us at the port the following day. We really couldn’t of asked for better transport wise. However the room was very limited, there was no in room safe and the beds were very hard. Breakfast there was no choice you got a cheese toastie unfortunately I have a cheese allergy so unable to eat it. The room was clean and it is very close to the port! However like most accomadation in this area it is a steep walk back up. The room does have good air con and after climbing the hill you will need it. As I mentioned in the title would love to give this place 5 stars however it would be misleading based on the facilities it is ok for 1 night and the pick up and drop off service is worth it.

Breakfast wasn't ready and after I finally got coffee, she had to leave to take someone to the airport. The beds were not made- sheets just left on the bed. Toilet seat was broken. • Steven (10/5): A view above all - Spectacular view of the city, close to everything. Make sure you’re prepared for a little uphil but worth the view especially in the morning for coffee on the terrace.
• Leftus (6/5): - Good: Staff Giannis, wife & yia yia very nice lol free coffee & toasr inc. in mornings :) free shuttle to airport. Nice view of the city when you sit on the rooftop for cafe & toast but also, no shade from the hot sun. Not good: hotel very hard to find although Giannis offers pickup his message is sent last minite so you'll only get it after you land. Beware to many "steep steps" to get to city centre & tight spiral staircase in hotel makes for a tiring vacay. TV is useless old 9" box from the 80's. Respectively, overpriced to what you get ratio. :(
• iamjohnnymac (6/5): Cheap but not clean - With a free airport transfer, this trip started well. Unfortunately the place was locked up when I arrived and we had to call to find out why. Someone arrived and was so helpful and friendly and I was given a room with an incredible seaview. The roof terrace was just stunning too. I have a gripe with the shower. The water was not even lukewarm (after running it through for 5 mins) and there was some revolting dirt on the walls. The floor of the room was also very dirty.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Mooi en net hotel gelegen op een heuvel - Nette en comfortabele kamer. Enige min puntje is dat het op een heuvel gelegen is en moeilijk bereikbaar wanneer je bagage hebt, doch de eigenaar biedt airport service aan, en brengt je ook naar de haven. Zonder bagage is het hotel best bereikbaar en ligt vrij dicht bij de hoofdstraat. Prachtig uitzicht over de stad vanop het dakterras
• Rosie (10/5): - Charming pension with great staff. Lovely rooftop breakfast. On top hill so have to do some stairs - but well worth it.
• Rose (10/5): - Great place, great rooftop. Warm welcome. Sent to dinner a few steps away at the Windmill - gorgeous outdoor eating high above the town.
• peter (10/5): - The owner was a legend. Drove us around to get our connections and then raced back to the airport after finding we’d left our power adapter there. Great views. It’s the highest point of the village. The stairs are no big deal...great deck on the roof. All round winner!
• cathy (8/5): Nice room, very friendly staff( thank you Martha) - A nice place but difficult to get to. Up steep hill , taxi took me to wrong place, Margarita HOUSE, apparently they do this regularly because they don’t want to go up the hill. But the owners wife rescued me, thank you Martha! She also offered me a glass of wine upon arrival and took me to the airport the next day. Room was clean and comfortable.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient place with caring and attentive owner. Picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the ferry the next morning. Couldn't have been more helpful. Easy walk (hilly, but that's Skiathos) into town. Windmill restaurant is conveniently right next door.
• Tony (10/5): Fantastic views fro roof top area. - Takes full advantage of a hilly island, just off main town. Picked up from port, might be more difficult if you have a walking disability. Very friendly owner and family they could not do enough for us. Excellent Stay.

• Gautam (10/5): Great Service, Wonderful Care - Not only a beautiful hotel and location but phenomenal service, the hotel owner drove us to and from the ferry and airport, including odd hours of the day. The location was perfect in the middle of town where it was easy access to food, bars, and shopping.
• Celia (10/5): A warm welcome and ideally located. - We were collected from the airport as part of the hotel service and the owner was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast served on the rooftop terrace was truly delicious and home-made, plus the panoramic views over Skiathos town were stunning from this location. The hotel is ideally located for Skiathos town, and everything from shops and restaurants are a couple of minutes walk, as too is the port. The rooms were immaculately clean.

• Simon (10/5): Would stay longer next time - I booked the Pension Margarita as an afterthought to make my journey to Skiathos airport more relaxed. It more than lived up to the reviews and the owner went out of his way to be helpful.
• Sean (10/5): Great place to stay as a stop over. - On my way back up to Athens. Convenient and cheap. Yianniss could not do enough for you!! What a great guy - the owner. Transfers to and from ferry and airport and he didn't want any money in return. Many thanks to you Yianniss and hope to see you again soon.
