There's so many sounds of the door being open, closed, and knocking. Plus, the room is damp, the sheets are not really clean, and smells musty.

• pirranD (4/5): Very old and tired.... - I was booked in to this place by some colleagues as it was near to the office I was visiting. I don't know Jakarta at all, but the location seemed great in terms of the immediate environs as there are malls, loads of restaurants and street markets nearby, as well as convenience stores. So very convenient location. Other good aspects: the bed was large and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and kind. That's about all the good side. The main bad point is that the hotel is both extremely dated, having tacky dated decor and fittings, but far worse, it's totally dilapidated. Everything is old, nasty and deteriorated. In my room, basically everything was damaged, dirty and old - dirty, crumbling walls; worn & holed carpets, and so on. In the bathroom the grouting was mouldy, things falling apart and just generally skanky. It's just waaaay too neglected and old and should have refurbed about 10 yrs ago. The shower was just a trickle - just not enough water to have a proper shower. Internet was ok but not great, and the breakfast was sub-par. Were I staying for more than 2 nights I definitely would have checked out and moved to one of the many other hotels nearby. Note: I didn't pay for my stay and have no idea what the cost is - I can only presume that it's very cheap. My advice - avoid!

What concerns me is the significant inconsistency in the quality of the staff. With housekeeping, it wasn't just once or twice that there were insufficient towels, or that drinking water and tissues weren't replenished. The security staff's attitudes also varied, and although things improved considerably after I consciously started tipping them, I was shocked when, upon checking out and getting into my vehicle, my Rimowa suitcase was dropped, breaking a wheel. Moreover, they remained silent about it, which I thought was terrible.

The staff, embodying the friendly nature typical of Indonesians, were not only welcoming but also very professional. Although the facilities show signs of aging, they are well-maintained, which ensures a comfortable stay. One of the most distinctive features of this hotel is the consistently pleasant fragrance throughout the premises. Additionally, the location is superb, providing easy access to various destinations. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I would recommend it to others.

Considering the Indonesian standards and the affordable room rates, I find the quality to be very good (though there can be some differences depending on the room). The food quality varies slightly depending on the chef, but overall, it's quite delicious. Additionally, the Wi-Fi is very smooth and reliable.
• Morihiko (8/5): - I frequently use this hotel. I find the food to be very delicious. Although the breakfast leans a bit towards Indonesian cuisine, I am used to it, so it is not an issue at all. Regarding the facilities, having a refrigerator is good, but it was troublesome that it didn't cool at all. The air conditioning is still too strong, but I am accustomed to it, so I brought room wear and had no problems. The Wi-Fi is sufficient, and there were no issues with online meetings. As for the staff, it depends on the person. The front desk is flexible and good, in my opinion. Considering Indonesian standards, the security seems normal. It is convenient that Papaya and Plaza Blok M are nearby, which makes currency exchange easy.

• Sariza (9/5): Superb - My 5th time to this hotel ..what I love about this hotel is their staff. to be honest,this hotel cannot compete with other new hotels as the facilities, rooms are old. The pathway to the room was smelly and dirty.. Need to improve on breakfast choices..the bubur kacang was spoiled. i think they just reheat the porridge from previous buffet lunch or dinner.

The room smell was mouldy, to go bare feet on the carpet was clearly uncomfortable as I could feel it being sticky, everyday the bed was made but the bedsheets was never clean from spots, there’s either smoke burns, stains or hair on it, despite just entering it daily from my activity of the day.
• 340rimas (10/5): Recommended - Recommended. Nice place to stay, beautiful hotel, everything is clean. The people in reception are so kind. Hilman and Dika, they are so helpful. Breakfast is delicious. At night they have live music. Everything is close if you want to go to mall or eat.

The location of the hotel is convenient as there are a Japanese supermarket nearby, lots of restaurants, large malls and MRT station. Bad points: The room is old, no air circulation with fan at the bathroom, for example. Air conditioner can not be controllable, either cold or hot only. Refrigerator can not be used.

The fan of the bath room is broken or does not work. Hot water at the bathroom sometimes does not come out. Air conditioning is not adjustable, either hot or cold. There is no refrigerator. Room service is always disturbing, not flexible, like they hit the door when they want to clean room, making me uncomfortable because sometimes I am at the bathroom. Breakfast variation is none, so you have to have almost the same meal everyday, not suitable for long stay. The front desk is not flexible and do not understand my request like I wanted to clean the room while I had breakfast, but after all the front desk did not understand my request so I had to wait while they cleaned the room.

• amandatW4807PO (2/5): Pricey and overcharged - 3 % charge for deposit using credit card and DEBIT card. the hotel was to pricey (MORE THAN IDR 600,000 per night) for such a hotel that feels like 2 stars hotel. this hotel only looking good from the outside but outdated and aging interior. very small lift that fits only 4 person, bring us to smelly old carpet in the coridors to the room with old wallpaper that sticking out from the wall. everything in the room is overly charged (mini bars to soap disc was crazily charged). breakfast will cost you IDR 150,000 plus plus for a very standard breakfast. Too pricey! Before 12 noon Hotel will already call your room to ensure of check out at 12. oh ya, did I mentioned that I didn't get single queen bed that I requested but got a double bed instead, eventhough I had put it on remarks earlier? will I stay again? NO. Will i recommend this hotel? NO.

• rafaelpuji (6/5): Better options for the same price!! - Unfortunately using a hotel search engine requesting a hotel near a specific location in Jakarta led me to this hotel. The hotel was ok but almost one hour travel to the location, so much for the travel site data. I did not like my room, it has no windows - a first for me in a hotel. The restaurant had a western menu but most all the offerings were not available so that was disappointing. The location was certainly interesting. The building has a lot of character but too dark for my taste. Service was fine and accommodations were ok.
• 856rachmads (6/5): Mr - The Golden boutique hotel located at surrounding Bisnis area at Melawai , the four star hotel but the quality of services not as the expectation. Clean room but the bath room not supplied hand towel and face towel. Safe deposit box inside the wardrobe is always opened so it stopped to close the wardrobe door . Un function safe box, never care by Housekeeping staff . Average Food and beverage Standard quality and choices of breakfast , lunch and dinner menu are limited choices and Quality of food too sweet . Refill of food never care by the waitress or the trainee. The Banquet coffee break not supply dessert fork and limited paper napkin. Hopefully the Management team care and improve the standard quality of services as the four star hotel.
• SonnySilooij (8/5): Best Hotel - I was with my family (my wife and my son) stayed at this hotel for one night because I was having a race run race event at FX Sudirman mall, I got a recommendation from my co-worker to stay in this hotel, its classic european hotel And the room was quite comfortable, the facilities were fairly complete, the staff and hotel security is also very friendly and friendly with the guests, but a little that makes us a bit restless if bringing a wife or children stay at this hotel if nightfall nightlife around this hotel Quite annoying, many night women who work in restaurants or japanese cafe dress sexy on the roadside and that little makes us uncomfortable, but staying at the hotel golden boutique is the right choice if you want to shop to Blok M square or Blok M plaza.

• MRM5758 (10/5): Nice hotel in Clasic style - I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel, the reception was friendly, room clean and comfort to stay in. The bfast simple but great taste, easy access to M square just 5mnt walking away. It was great stay, thank you to all team and management.
• jeffreybose (6/5): Spent a night at Golden Boutique Hotel Melawai - I was visiting Jakarta on business and was booked into this hotel by an associate. It is conveniently located in the Blok M district, about a five minute walk from his office. The rates are reasonable and there are many eating establishments in the area. It is also walking distance from Blok M Plaza. There are many bars and karaoke joints in the vicinity which makes it a little sleazy.

The location is right at the heart of Blok M but there are plenty of better hotels in Blok M at similar prices. Won't stay there again
• husainia433 (4/5): Poor - I stayed with family of 6 on 7Feb15. 3 rooms total but the executive room was unexpected. The other 2 rooms received with no window. Hot water not tat 'hot'. Carpet corridor and all rooms stinks. Mini bar was all locked until been told to the reception to unlock. We paid for the facilities. Location is good near blok M but to get taxi u hv to walk to the main road. Sorry this will be my first and last stay with the hotel.
• omega123 (4/5): Not worth the BOUTIQUE title - I had stayed there for 2 nights in the executive room for two nights with my colleague. The outer facade looked grand but it was not inside. The door of my room could not be close properly. The walls were thin and I could hear my colleague in the shower. The hotel has a KTV on the second floor (level 1) and the noise was transmitted upwards to the floor above it. The hot water shower did not work and had to call the maintenance personnel to get it fix. Room fixtures were aged and in need of replacement. The aircon in the room was not working as well. Boutique by name, but the breakfast was as good as the budget hotels in that area of Blok M. The hotel was indeed boutique in a very unique way.
• Terrylia (4/5): poor hotel with good (?) location - First of all, the hotel is located in the so-called Little Tokyo area near Melawai which is famous for its nightlife among Japanese expatriates. So expect loud noise from the karaokes and bars nearby. Having said that, the area is full of authentic Japanese restaurants and they open till midnight. The hotel itself is awful because it reeks of tobacco everywhere because smoking is apparently allowed everywhere in the premises. At first the hotel gave me deluxe room with no window (I've never seen a hotel room without a window before, so it is very shocking to me, I felt I was in a bunker), but then they gave me the one with a window after I complained to them. The AC was not very cool, but the overall room cleanliness was acceptable. There were not many choices for breakfast and they tasted so-so. If you can, choose other hotels near the area with more modern and clean interior.
• Surana_2013 (8/5): Nice ti stay - The golden boutique Hotel Melawai, is truly nice place to stay. Confortable, close to shoppibg mall and entertainment centre in the south area of jakarta. The location is also very close to the other transport moda, i.e. Close to the bus station (blok m kebayoran Baru), and also it will very easy if you want travel to the airport
• KN426 (8/5): nightclub Maribaya sixth floor of Hotel Melawai - It is a good and pleasant nightclub. The service is good and the place/room is clean. A warning is necessary since there is a girl (named Qori) offering sex without condom as she is used to do so with her private customers in their apartment/hotel according to her account. The manager is recommended to take action to avoid problems with future clients. I myself am a regular client as also my foreign friends. Thank you for your attention and forwarding this to the manager of Maribaya.
• 1969andrea1969 (2/5): stinky room, no window, loud all night, stay away from this hotel - really a terrible place. they have only smoking rooms and all of them stink very badly, no window in all deluxe rooms, (they call them this way!). aircond very noisy. the music coming from the night karaoke last till 4 am, terrible! linen are gray and you feel them dirty. towels are also very used. no value for the money you pay. all photos they show off are very much away from the real thing. This hotel is a real scum!
• Fili-travel (4/5): No Value for Money - The standad rooms were very small . If you dont ask specifically for a non-smoking room, you will get a room which will induce passive smoking on you. Everything would stink of tobacco. We had to wait for hours before we got a non-smoking room and that to on insisting , else they said "if available tomorrow - you will get". AC in the rooms was minimal and in daytime with sun out, internally it would get hot. Except for the nearness to Blok M mall area, there is nothing which should be worth staying there. The Wifi is available only in the lobby and restaurant. The breakfast is catered more to APAC people - continental food was minimal.
