Guest Reviews
- Marion (10/5): Lovely room very quiet complete - Unique experience I forgot to inform staff that the commode was running a little all along
- Noel (1/5): Extremely Disappointed. - This hotel makes Fawlty Towers look like the Hilton.
The lobby was like a Junkyard.
The rooms had no windows.
Beds, furniture and electrical equipment are junk.
Bed linen smelt musty.
We were locked out of both the room and building entrance door because of faulty keys.
Afraid to take a shower because there is a sign warning you that water leaks through floor into shops below.
We had no great expectations for this Hotel but the room rate charged is astronomical for the facilities provided.
- Davida (10/5): -
- Sally (8/5): It was a good place to stay in the historic part of town. - Such a fun, funky property! There was no window and I thought we had a city view, but it was still nice.
- Jennifer (10/5): Amazing location, staff and value - This is a gorgeous, secure location right in the center of it all. N/a
- Erica (9/5): -
- Dashell (10/5): -
- Porsha (10/5): - Room was clean and beautiful
- Sherer (8/5): Recommend - Very quaint place. Decorated nicely. Just neighbors were loud. Not hotel fault
- Millar (1/5): Did not stay after checking in - Ms. Annette was super sweet on the phone and worked with refunding me for my cancellation Location. Undisclosed important information about the hotel
- Stephen (7/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): - Lovely staff, very cute town
- Higgins (10/5): -
- Anna (6/5): Nice if you know what u r coming to - It was a very sweet room, lovely designed with a lot of touches, just great There was no air in the room, coz there are no windows and all the buildings around are more or less abandoned, it smelled molty and hard to breath.
3 big roaches in the room.
And the vibe was very creepy, ALL the buildings around are abandoned or empty at night, we were the 2 only ppl in the whole downtown.
- Krista (10/5): - The person in charge had always been so accommodating and always worked with me on my time leaving. If I ever stay in Mississippi I will always stay there.
- Taylor (4/5): - Cute facade but room was lacking in cleanliness and AC had trouble keeping room cool
- JAMES (8/5): - The stay at the hotel was awesome but the restaurants in the area closed too early. One of the restaurants was opened but wouldn't allow me to eat because I'm black, ssaholes. So I got the full deep south experience. The fire department is right across from the hotel. Private parking in front of your room. So peaceful. I really enjoyed my room.
- lorenzo (10/5): - Hotel was safe, nice decor and clean. Perfect location
- Therrell (2/5): - Run down area. No windows in room.
- Melissa (10/5): - One of my favorite hotels in Eureka. I love the history and how nice the staff was.
- Robert (8/5): - The hotel is unique and the caretaker was a great help at arrival. However the owner didn’t get notifications of my booking or arrival through Expedia. Also, the hotel needed some updates. The TV was broken and even if it was working it was too small considering how far away it was from the bed. In addition the smoke detector had been removed. This is a very old building so this was concerning.
- Willie (9/5): Superb - Location the downtown area
- Slaughter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erika (10/5): Comfortable and rested - I liked that after hours it extremely private We personally liked it
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not your typical Hotel - I was disappointed with my stay. It is not a normal hotel, more like a bed and breakfast. The room doesn’t cool off well, the halls are hot and humid, there’s no service for towels or cleaning. The room itself was a good size but the furniture was oddly placed and took up most of the space. The room was just dirty. The floors, the sheets were stained, and mountains of dust. There was leftover items from previous guests under the bed. The staircase leading to the room needs to be maintained, weeds and bugs everywhere. Overall disappointing.
- Marjorie (8/5): Great place, comfortable and cozy. - Quirky and unique; reminded me of off-the-beaten-path hotels in New Orleans so if you are looking for a 5 star generic hotel, this ain't it. I'll definitely get a room here again next time I come through. I needed a 2 bed room and got one with some kind of hide away bed. Fortunately the main bed was the size of an ocean so my sister just shared the bed.
- wes (4/5): Not clean - Not clean. Onder bed mice and rat traps. Major cobwebs in closet and behind doors
- Arthur (10/5): - Jo-Ann was waiting for us to arrive abd was very welcoming. We asked where the witches grave could be found and despite needing to get ready for a relatives graduation she took us there rather than try to explain! Thats service above and beyond!!!
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mali (7/5): Good -
- Heidi (8/5): Very good - We were positively charmed by the quirky building and the room. Never seen anything like it. The fans are loud, but the house can be silent when switched off. It's an old house, so don't expect perfection, but embrace its imperfection.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tamara (10/5): - Annette was amazing in welcoming
To the property and acting as a concierge for the area activities. The room itself could not have been more lovely. Claw foot tub shower. Pink and green with a 48’ wainscot vanity topped sink. And of course a great nights sleep.
- Darla (2/5): Very poor -
- Heather (1/5): Will not be back. - Close to Amtrak Dirty, smelly, needs updating, needed proper toiletries, tv screen was cracked and over crowded with furniture upstairs.
- Csonka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benny. (10/5): comfortable -
- Hines (10/5): Main Street Hotel wa perfect for our wedding party. -
- Charity (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rogers (4/5): Disappointing -
- Christopher (2/5): Won't be back - I didn't like anything about the room. The room was uncomfortably hot, the fan out in the hallway was broken so it couldn't be used in the room to help cool, they "upgraded" our room to a bigger room with only one bed when we specifically chose the room we chose for 2 beds so my gfs son had a bed to sleep in beside a hide-a-bed in the couch with a paper thin mattress, no sheets for the couch bed, trash wasn't taken out in the bathroom, ants in the room, shower head was secured with a zip tie.
- Misty (10/5): Vintage Ghost Town stay! - Staff was very kind and accommodating. Motel was very unique and so quiet. If you like modern motel style then this is not for you. It’s more of a vintage vibe. After 7pm you feel like you are in a Ghost town. Main Street is completely empty not a person or car in site. I had never experienced anything like it. We parked in back and the parking lot was well lit and behind the fire dept and police dept so we felt safe. There was a few things that are not up to par but overall for the age of the building this place is well maintained. I wouid highly recommend and do plan on staying again next time we are in the area. Only complaint is there is steep stairs I’m in front and back in order to get to the rooms. A little difficult to carry luggage.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (8/5): Comfortable room, but the town was so quiet after 7 pm that it was unnerving. - So much whimsy and charm in furnishings.
- Kevin (4/5): Disappointing -
- Donnie (9/5): Wonderful - No breakfast served.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leroy (10/5): I will return. - The location was perfect for me. Parking convenient, East access to the destination I needed to visit. N/A
- Otha (4/5): - The rooms were located in an abandoned building that is being renovated and too many stairs, not wheelchair accessible
- Anna (10/5): - Very quaint property, very uniquely decorated. Staff wasn’t onsite because we checked in later in the day but she called, then sent detailed instructions on where to get room key. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we are in the are
- Roy (10/5): if you miss Yazoo City, even for a night, you miss a beautiful piece of the Delta - beautiful hotel, best position in town, fantastic owners and staff
- Gianluca (6/5): Pleasant - location no window, smell of the restaurant below the building, dirty blankets
- Rainnie (10/5): - Nice
- Peterh_uk (10/5): Exceptional - Suite was spacious and beautifully decorated. Overlooked colourful Main Street. I wish I had longer time in Yazoo City
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Shelly (10/5): Exceptional - The room was awesome. It was like a mini apartment. Very quiet and we literally did not see anyone else there I'm guessing because it was New Year's Eve. We didn't like that all the shops around us were closed but it was New Year's Eve!
- Peter (10/5): Southern hospitality at its best - highly recommended - What a great find! Spacious, spotless, characterful accommodation in a professionally run, extremely friendly setting.
- Desiree (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cynthia (10/5): Great hidden gem - This little cozy hotel in the adorable downtown area is a real gem. The bed was very comfortable. Super cute decor, and the service at the establishment was very friendly. I highly recommend!
- Ronda (8/5): - Super cute old hotel. Annette was very nice and friendly and accommodated our late arrival. We had a little lizard visitor, but it managed to escape out he window from my daughters (who were willing to take it home). Wish we could have spent more time there. :)
- VANESSA (8/5): Bentonia Blues Fest Artist - The hotel has a boarding room style feel to it which was interesting. You do have your own shower and restroom. We placed the oscillating fan in front of the A/C unit so that it would circulate the cool air better. Which worked great! Overall the place is cute and we would stay there again. The staff was very informative and friendly. As an FYI, the restaurant options are limited unless you travel to a bigger surrounding city like Jackson.
- Barbara (4/5): Great Customer Service. Old dirty building - There was mold on the walls and pictures. The housekeeping was non existent but could be fooled by the smell of bleach when entering the room. The space in door was big enough to see my bed before opening the door. I could go on, but I will stop at I will not be returning. Nice people though.
- casey (6/5): Yazoo finest - The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The only complaint that i had was the ac. It was so hot 🔥. The ac had been on all day and when we got back to the room it was still hot.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such a warm peaceful enjoyment sleep
- KetarriousVauga (10/5): - It was very clean, room was kind of hot but it wasn’t a problem hotel made sure we had everything in the room
- robert (10/5): - Main Street hotel great
- Reginald (10/5): - It was SUPER...THOSE ROOMS ARE AWESOME....Best kept secret in the Delta....
