- Theodore (2/5): Poor Experience - We booked a 2-night stay here in mid May and wished we had stayed in our previous Hotel; very disappointing. The main reason for this was due to an "external" event/concert the Hotel arranged during our stay. As a result, our experience included the following: 1. we were advised that ear-plugs would be issued for the night of the concert. 2. we were very much looking forward to a great breakfast with a great view of the beach....as seen in the attached photo, the sheer size of the marquee erased that for us. 3. on the day of the "event", management closed the bar and the main restaurant, advising that we could dine at the Hotel owned Mexican restaurant across the road.....to dine at a Mexican restaurant in Sri Lanka! Other options offered were either dining in-room (due to the lack of dining table/chairs, would rather not hunch over the bed or balance a place on my lap) or dining at the pool bar (no thank you). Having no other choice and after dining on Mexican, I raised our disappointment to the Front Office Manager. I was then informed that the full restaurant menu was available at the Mexican restaurant. We were not shown any other menu apart from the Mexican dining one (we were asked whether we were guests at the Sentido). With the experience that I had, the Sentido Heritance does not seem focused on guest experience, placing paying guests behind external functions/events. Management is also in need of improving their communication and the communication of their staff. It would have been quite straight forward to slip a letter under each guests room outlining the alternative arrangements with respect to facilities/dining avoiding the mis-communication and poor experience we felt. photos: https://maps.app.goo.gl/2m2UExBcwji4QA777 Having the bar and main restaurant closed in a "5-star" hotel and not being advised of a suitable alternative is unacceptable. To then be offered a discount rate for our next stay rather than re-imburse for facilities that we were unable to use (due to Hotel miscommunication) for half of our stay re-enforces the Hotel's focus previously mentioned. I will not be returning.
- Laura (8/5): - Nettes Personal. Gutes Frühstück. Für die letzte Übernachtung vor unserem Rückflug gut geeignet. Leider ist aus Sicherheitsgründen das Gelände zum Strand hin abgezäunt. Abends hat man deshalb keinen Strandzugang mehr. Der Pool schließt um 19 Uhr. Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr groß, aber auch nicht ganz so top wie erwartet, für den Preis. Der Essbereich ist in Ordnung, aber auch nicht mehr.

We had a very nice room, with gorgeous garden/sea views from the balcony. The pool area was great, and we loved the swim-up bar! The included breakfasts were a treat, with Sri Lankan and international dishes (egg hoppers became a favourite for the rest of our trip), with lovely views from the restaurant. Loved the figurines scattered throughout the property!

Der Preis ist für die dortigen Verhältnisse komplett überzogen. Taxi Reservierung zum Flughafen 25$ aber mit PickMe 2$. Frühstück 20$ pro Person. Preise zusätzlich Tax + und Service + das sind ca 30% mehr als ausgewiesen. Die Vögel am Pool (Raben) waren ein echtes Problem. Liegestühle usw alles verunreinigt obwohl Wachpersonal als Vogelscheuche arbeitet.

The staff greeted us with refreshing drinks that were the perfect antidote to our travel fatigue. I was excitedly anticipating my birthday in a couple of days, and to my delight, the room we were shown to surpassed my expectations. Upon entering, I was welcomed by a beautiful birthday greeting artfully arranged on the plush bed, which turned out to be incredibly comfortable. Also, a birthday cake was provided. The location was simply enchanting, offering breathtaking views over the shimmering pool and the vast expanse of the ocean. Each sunrise painted the horizon with hues of orange and pink, a spectacular sight that truly made every moment special. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Mornings were particularly delightful with the buffet breakfast featuring an impressive variety of Sri Lankan and international dishes. We were truly spoilt for choice! The highlight for me was undoubtedly the egg hoppers, an authentic local delicacy that was simply out of this world. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend staying at the Sentido Heritance for an unforgettable experience.

Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Lovely staff. Good wifi. Aircon could be cooler in the rooms, couldn’t get ours to go below 24 degrees.

We have been at 2 of their other SL hotels and enjoyed the stay too. We stayed in a deluxe superior sea view room which we liked very much We were on half board but had our lunch as à la carte at the hotel Breakfast buffet and set menus for diner were equally tasty We made use of the not too deep pool and walk on the extremely clean beach Enjoyable stay, would recommend thus hotel to our friends A shout out to some of the many helpful and friendly staff Jayaru at the front desk Archini, Maduwanthi, Samantha and Milroy in the restaurant Roshan and Senjil in housekeeping Thank you all 🙏🏾

- Marije (9/5): Mooi plek maar alles kost flink extra - Prachtige locatie aan het strand met zeezicht vanaf de kamers. Het zwembad is mooi en schoon. De kamers zijn ruim en goed schoon. De prijzen die gerekend worden voor eten en drinken in het hotel zijn belachelijk duur. Ik kan niks zeggen over de kwaliteit hiervan want wij hebben daarom gegeten in 1 van de vele restaurants in de buurt.
