Guest Reviews
- Harold (4/5): - Location on Niagara River was great but room lacked small frig and had absolutely no closet space. Owner and cleaning staff were very nice.
- Jinu (2/5): - Nothing
- Kristine (8/5): - We stayed Friday thru Sunday at the Motel portion of the RV Park, The place was quiet, clean, it had a pool and putt putt golf.....
The only reason I gave it a 4 rating, they were hard to get ahold of by phone, and main communication was by email (unfortunately we got up early and stayed out late). We also had no hot water for two days. Talking with other guests they had no hot water either. The place was very convenient, not far from Niagra and our vacation was still amazing.
- Heather (10/5): - It was a simple room but was clean and quaint.
- Frederick (10/5): - Good remodel topped off with nice touches
- Sue (4/5): - well kept and clean....
- Ronni (6/5): - The propertycould use some touch ups. Have maps of the area available. Very nice grounds.
- Denis (6/5): - Room was very small, no smoking on property which in the rain is not so fun. Overall was what we paid for.
- Chidiebere (8/5): - It is such a great place to get away from the bustling activities of city life. I enjoyed the peacefulness.
It would be nice if you can add a mini fridge in the rooms and also have a kitchen area where people can clean up their eating utensils or even warm up their food...
- Denise (8/5): Nice Area - It was a great two night stay for my son and I. We were just passing through. He enjoyed the bunk and I had the double bed which was comfortable and nice pillows. Room was clean and basic. I had a little trouble trying to figure out the air conditioner.
We walked to the light house for something to eat and afterwards along the river which was really pretty. We also enjoyed the pool, mini golf and bird watching.
- Paula (2/5): - Shower and sink pluged up , when i asked for assistance the sent me to the room next to mine which was nicer , but no hot water.. if i could share pics you would see the room was much nastier than advertised, terrible , not recommended
- Jacob (8/5): - Not bad
- Kenneth (8/5): - It was an old fashioned motel that took me back to my childhood in the 1960s. Rooms (had both a large and small one) were clean and the showers were hot. Reasonably priced with an outdoor pool, mini-putt and beautiful view of the Niagara River. Great to walk or bike along this route.
- Florin (10/5): - Nice and quiet place.
- Nancy (10/5): - The property was quaint, a little motel attached to a campground, perfect for the non camper who enjoys the outdoors and fresh air.
clean rooms, quiet and great pool. beautiful location on the niagara river
- Byron (8/5): Good place overall. - Beautiful location. Nice outdoor pool and mini putting. Find place for the kids and I. Basic accommodations for a basic price. Close drive to Niagara. Thing that bothered me no fridge, wifi or microwave. But 3.5 out of 5.
- Bill (6/5): - nice location
- Amanda (10/5): - Great place to stay altgough bed was a little uncomfortable.Mini putt and pool are great features
- Verified traveler (8/5): - stores are far away, we had to buy drinks and live it outside because there is no fridge, and nothing to heat food with
- michele h. (8/5): Clean and peaceful - It's a clean place to sleep near the water.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I love the view of the river and the quiet atmosphere. It was a welcome change from the busy-ness of the immediate area around the falls. The rooms are very small and it is difficult to have 4 people move around in such a small room. I would move the vanity out of the room to make a little more room for the beds. Shower and bathroom was also very small and it was hard to take a shower without getting water on the floor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Visiting family in Niagara Falls and Fort Erie. Great view of the Niagara River. Nice walking trail in front on the property.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Nobody in the reception after 8 pm , and no breakfast including
- Dissatisfied (2/5): - They cancelled our reservation before we arrived AND told me off for trying to book with a dog when they are not pet friendly. I ONLY book pet friendly places as I ONLY search for these types of accommodations. She was rude and disrespectful. Their advertising needs attention as it clearly states they are pet friendly!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great central location along the Niagara river. 20 min to Niagara Falls and 20 min to Port Colborne. Visit the fort at Fort Erie. Room and washroom was small but price was right. Very clean and AC worked great. Pool access was awesome. WiFi is extra.
- Sue (8/5): - Surrounding area, bike paths, sunrise over the river, pool was clean, friendly atmosphere, very quiet stay.
- Taylor (8/5): Could use some work but overall good stay - My boyfriend and I decided to take a nice weekend trip to Niagara Falls but we decided to stay further away from all the chaos. We really enjoyed our stay here, the beds are older I believe but my boyfriend and I found it to be comfortable! We also like how we could go swimming anytime before 8pm, we loved how convenient that was for sure considering how hot it was. I think the bathroom could use some simple updates, better shower curtain (it fell down on me) , etc. And we also think the rooms (or at least our room) could definitely use a small fridge of some sort and microwave. Very hard to eat out there with none of those things on hand and nowhere close to get food.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This is a cheap place to stay, you literally get what you pay for..almost. no free wifi here, and if you choose to pay the 2.00 per day for it dont expect to get wifi inside your room, worst wifi ever. The outside garbage bins smell awful and are located too close to the rooms right beside the parking area. There are no ammenities offered here, you literally get a room, no fridge or microwave. our room had a leaky shower and the tv remote didnt even work. Plus if your a smoker, dont expect to have your morning smoke in peace as they will tell you you have to leave the property to smoke. Over all this motel was the worst place i stayed on my trip to niagara falls and i would not recommend it to anyone, it certainly made my experience in the area dissapointing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staying in the motel room was just like camping but in a more protected environment. Very peaceful. Slept deeply and woke with the dawn.
- Christina (10/5): What a great place to stay - We had an amazing trip staying at the Riverside. The view is great the river was very calm as well aex the rooms were also in great shape when we arrived. The staff treated us with the utmost respect and helped us with any question we had. They were very friendly and even very talkative at times when we had a few conversations about where we came from. The location was excellent as we were only a short trip away from Niagara falls. The Mini golf course was very challenging and different but very fun to play. The bathroom was a nice size and it came with a shower tub combo. Both beds were made and plenty of towels, hand towels and washcloths also were provided. The room also comes with a sofa bed. We also had a four chair table set by the one window in the back which we used to sit there and play a few games on. It was a very peaceful and and quiet. The lookout on the Niagara river also was amazing. You get to see a lot of boaters and other water craft of all sorts as well as many people walking by and riding their bikes. The playground was fun also. They have chairs and benches lined out front of each of the rooms for you to enjoy the nice serenity that this place provides. We stayed in room 10 which also had paintings done by an artist of what we thought were pretty much the outside scenes from around the campground and river. Thank you for such a great time and we will definitely stay again.
- MN (8/5): - Very nice and clean the only negative thing is there is no mini fridge to even keep your drinks or food cold or fresh- you need to bring a cooler with ice also the floors were a little dirty/dusty that i wore flip flops or socks. But other than than it was very nice, nice view of the lake and overall clean and new inside the room
- Gary (10/5): - What I like most about this property is that the rooms are very clean, beds are firm, and it is a quiet place allowing a good nights sleep. The management is very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden gem - The motel is not fancy, but very clean and room 10 was quite large with a kitchen table also. The location for us was perfect as we wanted to be near Crystal beach(15 min car ride). Plus, Niagara Falls about same distance away. Was nice to spend night at the busy Falls, see fire works and have nice quiet place to sleep. Again, very simple, but to sleep and shower was great . The view was right across the Niagara River , and would like to go back with my bike and ride along the River .Great spot to ride bikes . Only suggestion for motel ,
to add screen doors due flys got into our room. Would still recommend if your not looking for fancy and very reasonably priced clean spot, with pool and mini golf too.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Can’t beat the price. Nice pool. Nice view of the river
- Verified traveler (8/5): - location was close to where we had to go. It was very clean. It is a no frills hotel.
- Assen (8/5): Away from the crowd - Peaceful place within Niagara State Park that offers scenery trail along Niagara river.
- Linda (4/5): - We stayed in unit 5. No hot water, no plugs in the bathroom, had to dry my hair in the bedroom try to guess where to put my curling iron then go back to the bathroom to look in the mirror
- Visitor (4/5): Riverside Motel: clean, basic accomodation. - Pleasant hotel staff. No tv remote in room, so TV not usable until I went to get it. No heating control in room, so not usable until I went to get it. Not enough plugs for the desk lamp, plus the TV plus the clock radio. These were all unplugged so I had to plug them in, using a non polarised extension cord, and I had to reset the clock. No phone, no hair dryer. TV uses antenna for signal so about 14 channels are available, with a few repeats. Wireless Internet signal very weak (1 bar) so not usable for more than e-mail and basic searching. Video on line was not possible. Price rather high for what it was: cheaper on Lundy's Lane for this basic accomodation..
Soap supplied. Clean towels. Room clean. Bed comfortable. Lots of voices from outside until 10.30 p.m.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay - The hotel situed in good place but the room are very small and you have to pay for every thing WI-FI too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had lots of fun with my family staying in the motel. This is a family friendly place and has lots of things to keep children engaged. We will be staying here every time we visit Niagara. It a very quiet place away from the traffic. The outside river view is just amazing.
- Christophe (6/5): Bad stay - Tv programs not available, no free Wifi... Nobody to provide help, cause of front desk closed at 10 pm.
- Betty (8/5): Nice older motel / campground on the river. - Needed a room for one night for 3 adults and two children. Wanted to visit Niagara Falls on the way to taking my daughter and 2 children back to Toronto Airport the next day. Check in was easy and the room had adequate beds and linens.
- Mark (6/5): Peaceful - I slept
- Verified traveler (8/5): get away - Over all a great place for the price. Close to the falls so very convenient. We would definitely stay again
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice Location - The motel is on a amazing location on the lake, the rooms are acceptable for stay in for the nights, however, it can be improved easily with small things and makes occupants more satisfied.
- Marylee (10/5): I'll stay again - I'll stay here again and again on my way to and from our family cottage.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean and Reasonable - We were traveling with 2 couples in RV's, that stayed in the campground, which is VERY nice. Quiet and friendly. The motel rooms themselves were pretty small, but clean. A very basic room, but very reasonably priced. Nice to have both kinds on accommodations in one park.
- Joe (8/5): Will return! - Was perfect for our needs. We went there for the bike trails. A clean reasonably priced room. My boyfriend and I love each others company, and do not need TV or WIFI to have a good time. This is a room with no frills, with the exception of air conditioning. We picked up a bike path outside the door, and cycled 100 kms safely off the road!! It doesn't have tv, or coffee maker or fridge. All of which we did not require. It does have a cute mini golf. And an outdoor pool. It is clean. Had a great stay, and will definitely stay again!!
- michelle (10/5): Nice hotel nice view of riverside. - Great experience great view close to the falls. The people who take care of this place do a fantastic job and accommodate there guest very quiet. This is great place if you can't get an expensive view of the falls. Very pleased with finding a place with a nice Lakeview.
- Alexandru (10/5): Amazing place - Amazing place, we liked the views and the pool.
- Rene (2/5): Worst Experience - Its was the worst experience in my life
- Prince3311 (2/5): Totally unreasonable - First of all, nobody knows where the hotel is; including GPS. We tried to call the hotel to get directions, but they don't answer the phone after 10 PM. Our plane arrived late so we were not allowed into the hotel because it was past 9 PM. Are you kidding me!? Since I did not arrive before 9 PM, they still charge me for the room. The owner was completely unreasonable and trying to help us
- Verified traveler (10/5): A lot better than expected. - Based on prior reviews, we did not expect much. But we were wowed by the facilities and the surrounding area.
