Guest Reviews
- jackson (8/5): - Restaurant was amazing Just the weather
- robert (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Kristine (4/5): - I love Cedar Meadows. The spa is amazing! The food is great! I fell in love with a picture on the wall and I actually had the opportunity to purchase a print from the artist! The last two times I've stayed my rooms were not satisfactory. I paid extra for the jacuzzi room and it did not work. My partner had to rig it so I could use it. This last time I booked a room with the fireplace. The fireplace did not work. The lady at the desk was supposed to call maintenance and no one came. I needed a plug for the tub and had to keep going to the front desk and waiting while the clerk rolled her eyes and was very very rude to several people on the phone. This was New Years Eve. It was not a good experience. I mentioned this to the morning clerk. She apologized and told me someone would contact me and no one did.
- xXSabriinaaHXx (10/5): J'y retournerai ! - La tranquillité et le restaurant wow Tout était parfait, service, confort, tout !
- Blake (10/5): -
- Madeline (8/5): -
- Linda (4/5): Nothing included, poor cleanliness. - Quiet location Spa services above and beyond rate. Expensive room not cleaned, no discounts or deals.
- Taylor (8/5): Great staff, very comfortable, wish I could have seen/done more but didn't have time. - Convenient to the airport, very friendly staff, bed was very comfortable in the cabin. For a one night stay booked later in the day with no possibility of enjoying anything more than a meal, it felt very expensive. Unfortunately, it seems that this is the norm in Timmins where all the hotels seem to want to capitalise on the Mining industries success by charging astronomical rates. I live in Kelowna, BC and the price I would expect to pay for staying in a resort, with plenty of activities and wonderful views is a lot less than I pay to stay in a mining town with pretty much nothing going for it other than the industry. Sorry Timmins but you don't compare to Kelowna.
Shower in the cabin was very small, anyone over 230 pounds/6' 2" would have an interesting time in there!
- Daniel (1/5): -
- K (10/5): -
- Nicholas (6/5): - Clean
- Elsa (8/5): -
- Gaston (6/5): - Tried calling front desk a few times no answer and restaurant closed Monday's for breakfast. For the price you pay they should at least have coffee avaliable on Monday and not coffee machine in the room. The place s quiet and very clean
- Nga (8/5): Will stay again. - Staff was so friendly from the reception desk to the restaurant. Pools close at 6pm and closed on Mondays … I worked during the day so did not get to enjoy unfortunately.
- Sherri (6/5): Time to do some renos - Shower had broken shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser. Fell off the wall and just sitting on side of tub, bed was sagging, husband couldn’t sleep because he kept rolling into me, floors looked horrible as they were separated and edges were swollen. Restaurant food was good but it took over an hour to get a piece of meat the size of a plum. Very run down since the last time I stayed there a year ago
- Michael (10/5): - Staff from Victoria at the desk to Ashly at breakfast were all great.
- Miles (7/5): Easy to find and close to tge down town - I liked that it was close to the city I didn't like that we were unable to see the animals. I was also disappointed that we would have to pay extra for the hottub and other amenities.
- Christopher (10/5): - Everyone on staff was super friendly and ready to help. The rooms were clean, they were ready to accomodate for our disability without any problems. We could eat on location, so no need to leave the resort. They have everything including a gym (for all) and the spa has the nordic pool, hot tub, and cold tub. They also have other spa things like tanning bed, mani and pedicures, etc. We were sad the wolf cabins were so expensive but they have a small number of cabins anyway. Besides that we were able to book the wagon tour and still see the wolves and the other animals on the property. We loved the experience and would recommend this as one of Timmons best jewel.
- Jayda (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful. Love it here. So peaceful. Food us great. Spa is great. 5 🌟
- Daisy (4/5): - The Room had not been cleaned - Towels on floor, bed not made etc. check-in was also later thus no excuse as to why this Room had not been turned around. Front desk had said it was marked as done. disappointeing!
- ALbert (10/5): - Everything..Cozy comfortable.. Friendly staff..
Clean. Such a relaxed atmosphere. Patio doors to sit outside with nature was a beautiful touch I could not stay longer. Had to return back to work
- Brian (10/5): - The property and rooms are always clean. Especially, the management and staff are very courteous and friendly.
- Danny (9/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable - Everything was clean Nothing we didn’t like about the property
- Jeannot (10/5): - Would stay again nice and quiet
- Katlyn (10/5): - Clean, nice staff, great massage at the spa
- Mark (10/5): Try the Elk Lasagna ! - Great place for the Kids to interact with Nature. Spa time for Mom and amazing variety of Delights in the Restaurant. No reason to go anywhere else !
- Farnoosh (6/5): - We were checking in on Sunday. Asked for an early check in and not received an answer. Also they didn’t tell us the spa was closed at 6:00 pm on Sunday. We paid to stay there for the spa otherwise other hotels in the area were as nice but way cheaper .
- Robert (10/5): - Front desk staff always helpful and courteous.
- Cortan (10/5): -
- Carol Ann (8/5): - The steam room was not working properly
- Ryan (10/5): - Nice hotel with a great restaurant. Didn’t check out the nature stuff as I was on business. Close to the town.
- Jacques (10/5): - Nice clean and quiet
- Jeanne (4/5): - The bathroom was dirty behind the door and there was dried blood on the sheet. Was very disappointed for the price they charge.
- Meagan (10/5): Staycation Gold - I work away for weeks at a time and when I come home. This is my absolute favorite place to spend a night or two unwind before I go back to the real world, For a decade and and counting
- Corinne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): - Very quiet place. Very convenient to have a restaurant on sight.
- Jackie (3/5): as a very last resort I might recommend cedar Lodge. - NA Our evening meal was disgusting .It was overcooked and poorly displayed .There was a manager of some sort, but informed us that she couldn’t help. She wasn’t on duty. She seemed to be under the influence of alcohol.😡
- Maricela (10/5): - Beautiful place
- Tammy (10/5): - The property is lovely, the rooms are spcious and clean, the staff helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant was superb! I loved the artwork! Especially the beautiful paintings of wolves
- Darryl (7/5): Good -
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Dan (3/5): Disappointing - Location Condition of room, bathtub drain plugged, staff not helpful
- Mirva A (8/5): Amazing waitress - Stayed for two nights with a family group. Nice place and rooms were clean. Little dated but generally nice.
We were a group of 8 and had dinner in the hotel restaurant both nights. The food was excellent and what made the whole dinner even more amazing was our lovely waitress Chandy. I don’t usually write reviews but the service we received during both nights is definitely worth the mention. Friendly, cheerful, quick, caring, I could keep going on and on. She definitely made both the experiences memorable and fun and hopefully when we return we will have a pleasure to be served by Chandy again. Truly a treasure
- David (10/5): - Room was great and clean.
- Mark (10/5): Lots of Wildlife !! - Amazing Property, Spa is Fantastic, Excellent Cuisine in Restaurant. Staff are Very Friendly.
- Albert (6/5): - Overpriced, no bottles of water in room or available in lobby. Below average rooms definitely not worth the higher rates
- Sheila (10/5): - Spa
- Russell (2/5): - Horribly managed! They never have Expedia bookings! Booked in July for a snowmobile trip. Ended up on a pull out couch as the never check Expedia reservations. Expedia users beware and book elsewhere!
- Russell (2/5): - Third time making a reservation via Expedia and they don’t have it in file. Back in July I booked two nights for this winter, Super Bowl Sunday and last night. Had to call two months ago to make sure they had my reservation. Did so because last year the same things occurred. I had a booked, prepaid room with Expedia and the resort has no room for me. Anyhow,Sunday I confirmed again and lo and behold, when I arrived Wednesday I had no room and the property was sold out. They put me in a cabin off property with one bed and a broken pull out couch. Never staying there again and highly recommend others to book elsewhere!
- Philip (10/5): - Unique place. Lots of wildlife on the property.
- Joelle (7/5): Good -
- Rob (10/5): - Great place. Best in Timmins
- Karanpal (1/5): Bad -
- Xiaohong (8/5): - Location is great. Views with wild animals are so unique.
Receptionist need to improve their service skills.
- Mark (10/5): One Stop Shopping - Amazing Place !
- Ginette (8/5): - It was nice to get away
- Danny (10/5): - Staff is friendly and the accommodation was very well kept and clean. Was nice to be able to see all the different animals on the property.
- Gloria (8/5): Very good - Scenery Very thin walls could hear everything in the rooms. The cost for breakfast was way too expensive.
- Kayla (5/5): Passable -
- Ducharme (7/5): Basic accommodations, clean and comfortable. Close to airport. - Rustic, close to airport. It would have been nice to enjoy the wildlife tour (3 pm daily) but I arrived too late in the evening and had to fly out early morning. Looks like a nice place for a romantic or girls getaway not for people just needing a place to sleep for the night. It would have at least been nice to soak in a hot tub for a half hour but told I would have to purchase a spa package.
Bartender and servers in the restaurant were exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. Food was good. No complaints about the restaurant. Person at front desk was rude and unfriendly. Not a good first impression.
No elevator which was not explained when I booked. I had three large pieces of luggage and was told I had to carry them up the stairs myself. Fortunately, the owner walked in while I was struggling up the stairs and carried them to my room for me (very friendly and courteous man).
Not a great value when you consider you just get the basics. No pool or hot tub, unless you pay extra for spa services- which is not advertised as an extra cost. Website is very misleading in my opinion.
- Shannon (4/5): Disappointing - Very friendly staff, all provided great service. The animals were enjoyable. The property is rather neglected. Overflowing toilets that don’t flush in the public washroom, showers that don’t drain. Holes in the bathroom walls. The restaurant food is not even close to as good as it was last year. Alot of money has been spent on the wolf cabins but simple things like toilet seats that aren’t peeling, toilets that flush, minor repairs made, and cleaning up old and no longer used or functioning items around the property would go a long way to maintaining the “luxury” experience gor all your guests that your marketing attempts to convey. The restaurant food did not live up to our experience last year.
- David (10/5): - The staff were friendly, the food was excellent, recommend the breakfast poutine!
- Scott (10/5): - It was an excellent weekend. Only negative was the check in process. Not at all friendly and never once offered us info on what was available. They likely missed out on taking some of our money. 🙂. Check out was better but still no thank yous or hope to see you again. Would not stop us from staying again though. The rest of the staff was amazing.
- Shraddhaba (10/5): - Amazing
- Martin (10/5): - Wildlife resort type, very nice.
- Gary (8/5): We did have a wonderful time - Staff were very friendly, food was excellent. We enjoyed the wildlife tour. The bathroom needs a good scrubbing and the shower curtain smelled of mildew.
The bathroom lighting was inadequate. It was dull and not suitable for applying makeup etc.
- Graeme (5/5): Passable - N/A That Book.com DID NOT book our accommodations as arranged, and when we arrived to find we had no reservations!
- Levesque (6/5): Decent. - Location and quietness Out dated.
- David (5/5): I would stay there again as it was the closest to we’re we were visiting , it was comfortable and clean but the tea and - Location and feeding the animals and the wolves the grounds were lovely To much noise from other guests late at night
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): - An incredible place. Luckilly saw a small heard of cariboo on the way in. Next day saw bison and spent some time with the swans and ducks only a short walk from the front door. Great staff and rooms!
- Pat (10/5): - For some reason we lucked out with the honeymoon suite. Place is clean and quiet. Loved the animals on site from Buffalo to wolves.
Restaurant is very good. I had the prime rib special.
Excellent.
- Rob (10/5): - .
- Jeff (8/5): Great spot to stay out of the city - The hotel is not fancy but clean and very acceptable . The restaurant was probably the best part - had dinner and breakfast. Food and service was excellent.
- Russell (8/5): - The room was clean and the grounds offer a nice environment to walk around and admire the swans and animals on the property. Dinners were great - weekend prime rib special is a must.
- Mark (10/5): Excellent facility - Everything you need is right there !
- Annie (8/5): - Beautiful quiet farm area, but close to everything
- Melody (10/5): - Cedar Meadows is a beautiful resort with swans and wildlife surrounding the resort. The food wa exceptional !
- Maryse (1/5): Bad -
- Ian Alexis (10/5): - Property looks old but it has a cottage feel. The sliding door leading to the backyard in my room was faulty so I didn’t get to enjoy the outside greenery connecting to my room. Food was amazing but pricey. I didn’t get to try the spa, everything was fully booked.
- Gregory (10/5): - This a nice place to enjoy nature. Had a beautiful stay
- Melanie (6/5): The service save the place - The room are old and noisy.
Service is one of the best. They invest in cottages and surrounding but they should invest in revamping rooms.
- Jessica (10/5): - I have stayed here many times and enjoy it. It is pet friendly also which has been great as I have 2 labs. Both times staff have been wonderful about them being there.
Their restaurant is fantastic as well.
- Marie-Pascale (10/5): - Beautiful resort with very friendly staff and amazing restaurant!

- frank (6/5): - The first rooms we were offered were terrible but manager quickly resolved the issue offering a nice room.
- Stephanie (2/5): very disappointed. - Room was dirty (black spots or grease or something at a few places on the wall), we always had to go back to the front desk as keys never worked and my steak at the restaurant was full of fat and barely cooked (asked medium rare).
Spa was very nice.
- Curtis (10/5): - Best resort by far. In every single way. Super clean rooms. Amazing staff.
