We liked the view from the balcony. Room was very clean and the bed comfy. I found breakfast adequate. Nothing was warm but we got 30’. I would increase fruit, have milk available and leave the boiled eggs out of the fridge. Worth the stay

• Joanna (8/5): A short perfect stay - Having a train the next morning at 7am I needed a simple place opposite the train station without breaking a bank. The staff was very nice, the room on rather smaller side but comfortable and clean. Location was perfect and the price was very good in comparison to next door places.

Your window is likely to open over the restaurants that line the plaza so be ask for a higher floor if possible to minimize sound and cigarette smoke. WiFi was absolutely horrible. Dial-up type speed.

• Yvon (8/5): très bien - j'ai chois par défaut cet hotel et j'ai beaucoup apprécié cet hotel. La chambre était très confortable, très calme et la literie au top. L'accueil est vraiment chaleureux. Je reviendrai avec plaisir dans cet hotel.
• Christian (2/5): Übernachtung zum Vergessen - Uns wurde ein Zimmer für Menschen mit Handicap gegeben, welches anscheinend deshalb keine Badezimmertüre hatte. Auch wenn ich mich meiner Freundin sehr nahe fühle, manches will man doch lieber privat halten. Das größte Problem war aber, dass auf der Bettwäsche Blutflecken waren. Die Bettwäsche wurde also anscheinend nicht gewechselt. Als ich zur Rezeption ging um Ersatz zu holen bekam ich von dem so gut wie kein Englisch sprechenden Rezeptionisten nur zwei Spannleintücher. Da es sehr spät war und wir nur eine Nacht blieben haben wir uns damit abgefunden. Ich kann das Hotel aus diesen Gründen absolut nicht empfehlen.

J ai demandé une chambre côté cour, c était une chambre pas très lumineuse, avec vue sur les gros tuyaux de la soufflante du resto voisin. Avec le bruit continu qui allait avec. Après une tentative de sieste j ai changé d hôtel.
• Nick (8/5): - Le Florin was a very well priced and comfortable hotel, directly across the road from the main railway station, so is perfect for a budget-conscious stopover in Rennes, if travelling by rail. The room was small and basic, but clean, serviced, and practical. I always miss having a refrigerator in hotel rooms, but this is common in this part of the world. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Attualmente ci sono cantieri di fronte all'albergo per lavori di modifica alla stazione ferroviaria, ma con i doppi vetri il rumore non disturba. Avevo una camera spaziosa, carenza di grucce appendiabiti, mancanza di sgabello portavaligia e disattenzione nella sostituzione biancheria da bagno. Personale alla reception molto gentile e disponibile. Presenza di ristoranti e bar sotto l'albergo.

Une rénovation a probablement été faite, mais on voit bien que la structure commence á dater. Insonorisation suffisante pour le quartier. Personnel particulièrement sympathique et professionnel.

• Mr M R (8/5): Hotel Le Florin - The hotel is very central to get out and about especially if you want to explore Mont Saint Michelle as the bus station is a 5 minute walk away, train and metro also 5 minutes from the hotel. There is a lot of construction work going on right in front of the hotel as there is a new station being built but although this blocks your city view it is not heard in your room. Rooms are very small and on the basic side, no kettle to make a welcome drink after a day out but there are plenty of places to grab food and a drink next to the hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful plus you can buy your metro tickets from the front desk. I felt this is a budget hotel but for a weekend break its ideal and would book again.

• Mark (8/5): One night stay - We stayed here one night before an early morning train. The hotel is directly across the street from the station. There are restaurants nearby. There is major construction in front of the hotel but the noise was not an issue as the rooms have double windows. We would stay here again if we ever return to Rennes.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Close to train station - Very convenient location. You can see the hotel when stepping out of the train station. Staff are all very friendly. There is construction going on in front of the building. It didn't bother me because no work during the night.
• YVES (8/5): A good hub in Brittany - Great location for hopping to/from the best of Brittany. Rooms are small but functional and no traffic noise just the sight and sounds of metro construction works Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
• australian trav (6/5): Helpful staff, great location - The room was clean & comfortable, and the staff were friendly & helpful. However our room was extremely noisy (noise from the surrounding streets) & the temperature I. The room was very hot. We spent a very bad night's sleep. If you get a room for a good price, it's worth staying for the location & helpful staff, but ask for a quiet room situated towards the back of the hotel.
