- Dayana (10/5): - La ubicación es muy buena, muy cerca del puerto. La habitación es grande, limpia, el aire funcionaba bien. El baño muy grande y la ducha muy buena también. La vista de la terraza es increíble y tienen bastante utensillos de cocina. Quizás un poco más de información por parte del personal. Nosotros acabábamos de llegar, no conocíamos nada y el chico era muy amable pero capaz era nuevo y no nos supo ayudar mucho. Es lo único a mejorar.
- Viola (7/5): Top Lage und gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. - Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, die Zimmer haben Klimaanlage und eine sehr grosse Dusche! In 1min ist man am Pier und das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Tücher wurden zum duschen und sogar für den Strand zur Verfügung gestellt. Hat Duschmittel in der Dusche. Ist alles in allem etwas in die Jahre gekommen, gibt nur ein Deckenlicht und der Abfluss roch nicht sehr angenehm wenn man das Wasser zu lange laufen lässt.

Los cuartos mal cuidados, bastante sucios y con jardín zoológico..lleno de pulgas y otros compañeros de cama y cuarto. El trato horrible y los cuartos pésimos. Condicionaron negativamente mi estancia. No sé lo recomiendo ni a mí peor enemigo.

- Liam (8/5): Great hosting - I had a really good experience with a staff member named Josep. He was very helpful to me. Any time I had a question or needed help with something, he went above and beyond for me. I felt very welcomed and enjoyed my stay. There was nothing to complain about.

Hay varios tramos de escaleras que pueden dificultar la mobilidad de las personas más mayores y las habitaciones en el piso inferior son muy oscuras.

- Pavlos_92 (8/5): A very comfortable stay in a great location in Puerto Ayora. - The room was very large and included a separate living area. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. Breakfasts were good and enjoyable. There is a nice rooftop terrace, and the location is excellent — close to the port, many restaurants, and the main street. The staff were kind, helpful, and welcoming. Sometimes there was a problem with hot water in the shower.

Excellent daily housekeeping, a spacious room, and a good location. Unstable Wi-Fi in the room, very little space in the bathroom, and inconsistent hot water supply (while showering, the temperature changes from very cold to extremely hot).

- Timothy (8/5): Basic but good value. - Comfortable beds, good location, friendly staff and clean rooms. The staff were full of advice to Dave money on local sightseeing. Air conditioning worked really well, and the beds were made up daily. Great value. Overall it was good but it was lacking atmosphere a little, and I saw a lot of cockroaches in the stairs area at the back - but not in my room, thankfully.

The location is fantastic, close to town, but there is no noise from it. Loved the rooftop terrace Unfortunately the kitchen is not clean, there didn't seem to be any bins either. There was a guy playing music and videos at 5am in the morning. This is not something that is the hostels fault!
- Kim (8/5): Nice & social dorm - I stayed for 5 nights in the female-5 bed dorm and really enjoyed my stay. I loved the single beds instead of bunk beads & the spacious room with AC. And the good location of the hostel. It was a great place and room to socialize with other travelers as a solo traveler & share tips and recommendations for Galapagos. There’s hot water & a huge shower in the bathroom that’s attached to this room (which was nice to wash my snorkel equipment). The hostel has a nice roof top (with sunbeds) with a kitchen. The fridge is super tiny and also used for the hostels breakfast products but I somehow could fit my food in anyways :) I found the kitchen opening hours strange (10am-6pm) because it does somehow exclude breakfast and dinner times but I used the kitchen anyways before and after and no one said anything:) WiFi was good and there’s a QR code downstairs for an airport taxi for only 10$.

Payment options that were communicated in booking confirmation were not available. Airco hasn't been cleaned in a long time and gave a foul smell, also almost didn't cool at all. Would not stay again.

It was hard to reach the reception stuff and ones I did they promised ti solve it but still next day was the same. Kitchen is not really a place where you can store your food. I put Juice in the fridge and next day it was locked so I could not access it. There was obky two power outlet in the entire room and not obe next to your bed for sharing phone over night.

Rude messages when I wasnt quick enough at the bank when they demanded payment after no one being in reception to pay for 2 days. Bumbling management at every turn.

Friendly, helpful staff, who also operate a tour desk right next door and can book any Galapagos adventure you want. Nice rooftop deck and decent kitchen for guests. Filtered drinking water provided. Fantastic location just a block from the water and ferry departure area and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Enjoyed my stay. Thank you
- Kenneth (9/5): Very convenient place for Digital Nomads trying to get work done while in Paradise - The hostel is within a short walking distance to the important places in town: port, restaurants (including the ones in Kioskos that offer $5 menu del día), supermarket, ATM, etc. Internet (via Starlink) on the rooftop is very usable for work purposes, topping at 150 Mbps. Very helpful staff. On my checkout date, they let me access the room still so I could shower after visiting Las Grietas, and I was able to store my luggage in a room near reception before my departure. No other bathrooms outside of the room. The door to my room doesn't open all the way, which makes it awkward to get into and out of, especially with large suitcases.

- Ivanka (10/5): Great hostel - This is my second time in Hostel Gardner. If I come 100 times, 100 times I would stay here. Great people, big kitchen, rooftop, everything is so clean, safety on high level. Excellente stay.
- Jan (9/5): I went away and came back three times so I must think this hostel is good. - Close to everything, lovely staff when they were at the desk, but they did always arrive once search for. Knight no hot water. That’s the only thing that wasn’t OK. The top floor area is lovely. One night, no hot water. That’s always an issue.
- Ivanka (10/5): Great hostel in Puerta Ayora - Nice and helpful hosts, big kitchen with utilities, gas stove, fridge, free drinkable water (hot, warm and cold), 3 types od tea (anis for stomack problems and digestion, camomille for sleeping and nerves and herbal for broken heart :) - this is such a uniq thing and so uppreciated🙏, clean bathroom with soap and toilet paper, free big towel, lockers (with hostel key-you dont need to bring your own locker key), storage in the room, hanger per person, TV on the room, comfortable beds, clean sheets, blanket provided, they make all the beds each day, no mosquitoes in the room (nets on the windows), big commons area on the roof where you can dry your bathing clothes and excellent location. I recommend staying im room for 4 (female).👍
- Naomi (9/5): Comfortable stay - I stayed in both a private room and dorm room at this property. The private room was large and clean as was the dorm. The location is good - close the ferry port and restaurants. The property felt secure as you were only able to enter with a key in the evenings. The staff helped me book ferry’s. The showers were hot and powerful. There was a lot of noise from outside when staying in both rooms. It is not really a social place if you are travelling by yourself.
